How would you calm/care for a haywiring animatronic? I would imagine it would be hard to reach them in that state if they’re overstimulated and reliving their death.

(Side note your post made me aware that this is a real thing in fnaf AR, I never had the app).

while it's a billion times safer to avoid a machine going haywire, if you wanna be ballsy you can try to help

if you approach one, be slow and steady. don't panic, don't freak em out, your composure can help de-escalate the situation

stroking their hand very gently can reassure them that they're not in any physical pain or danger. i suppose you could also lightly brush their back or face, if they trust you

for a few animatronics (like the puppet and the funtimes) music box soothes them too

although you can reach them and ease them out of aggression, some of their other symptoms like glitching out and audio malfunctioning just need time to overcome

(and yeah i was always killed by one going haywire bc i didn't know wtf they were doing. i still have the app but it don't work </3)

i don't think there's any physical maladies these bots can get. you know what can corrupt their processors though. HAYWIRE ATTACK💥💥💥💥💥

it's noticeable with scraptrap and the more conscious machines. this entails violent behavior, twitching and glitching out, and malfunctioning. though most animatronics are typically aggressive in nature, going haywire is pretty painful for them as it causes involuntary movement, sensory overload, and in worst cases re-living one's final moments as human.

while haywiring animatronics can be alleviated with time or proper care, some of them experience it chronically, or even exist in such a disposition at all times

So I'm confused what's the difference between your springtrap and scraptrap, aren't the two the same guy? Why is one more vicious than the other?

they're both the same guy. i just categorize them as being from two separate universes (though drawing them doing dumb shit together is entertaining).

scraptrap is a version of william that sort of follows the canon lore of being a monster while (relatively) lucid. springtrap however is more of my own depiction of what happens to a soul when it's sealed in an animatronic and left to rot in total darkness for decades with no outside contact.

scraptrap is still vicious, but he's also maniacal and enjoys the thrill of terrorizing people. springtrap is just someone who lost all sense of themself, all but a program to kill
