8. What do you like most about your own work?

Well. Mostly I like the process of making it. Aside from that, I like the fluidity of my sketches. They’re usually so loose that the anatomy gets entirely lost, but it reflects my brain a bit better. I like capturing the idea of something, and I like breaking things down into strong, simple lines. Sketches like these don’t get shared but they’re what my art is reduced to when I don’t have the energy for it. My work ‘Time Passes Without Me’ of Lan Wangji reflects my sketching process the most, since it was quick and didn’t require heavy lineart. Otherwise these vaguely dog-shaped sketches from yesterday show what I mean pretty well.

So much! Usually it’s other artists. I follow a lot of people on social media and whenever I’m struggling for inspiration I scroll through my following list haha. I also get inspired a lot by individual works, which I just reblog and tag so I can find later.

Lately I've taken more inspiration from landscape photography and sci-fi, because that's what I've been drawing. Although, I’ll really take inspiration from anywhere… I frequently take photos on my phone of anything that catches my fancy. Colour schemes, random objects I’ve walked past, screenshots from whatever I was looking at on my computer… it never ends.

Hmmm, good question. If we're talking about the characters in general, then I'd identify myself as someone who is a perfectionist but particularly clumsy, who might be lacking confidence in so many levels but puts my heart on my sleeve which makes me extremely vulnerable. OMG. I have quite a lot. I love them!! I love reading fics that are released through collabs, because it's always a blast to read fics from different writers that somehow coincide with one another, and I love joining in them when there's a chance to. The only problem I have with joining collabs is the fact that I'm a really slow writer lol. I still have a couple of fics that are supposed to be released as a part of writing collabs that I have yet to finish. Collaborating with another writer for a single fic is another matter though. I did it once, and while it was fun to work with another writer, there was the downside where I had to match and switch my writing style to fit the other writer which caused us to meet a few bumps in the way. I would do it again one day if I can find another writer who I can work well with. Maybe once I'm done with my pending WIPs *nervous laughs*

Not everyone's the same, so if you were the shy soft streamer who does more art streams or something akin to a podcast, you can bet that Lucifer will be putting you on while he works, he kinda knows your streaming schedule at this point and if you were running late, he'd force one of his brothers to take over your dish washing duties or any chores you were stuck with

If you were the loud obnoxious meme type, hed still try to watch out of curiosity, and as much as he appreciates that you were getting comfortable here in Devildom with how you laugh and joke around, he still can't approve of it. Its too loud, its much like his brothers energy and he has enough of that already, so he probably doesn't watch as much.

He has countlessly came to your room to shush you and at this point your fans had made a compilation of each time Lucifer had barged in to tell you off

4. Which comment has had the most impact on your writing?

hard to say! i had a few absolutely wonderful, amazing, kind comments, but they rarely point out something that needs to be fixed or offer criticism so mostly i keep my style more or less the same? but ahh that one long comment about how a certain someone liked how descriptive my style was did convince me that it's okay to get into all these details the way i usually do haha. i certainly feel more comfortable with how i write now.

8. What inspired you to write your first fic?

my very very first one? gosh. i think it was back when i was a baby weeb watching bleach and i think i read an ichigo/ishida h/c fic where i didn't like how hurt part went, and i decided that i absolutely needed to fix it lmao. the resulting abomination that could not be called a piece of literature lest some ancient god decides to strike you dead for such an offence was littered with grammatical and spelling mistakes (because of course i decided to do it in english but i was like maybe 12 and english was barely my second language at the time) and is now lost to time, but i remember having fun with it. whump and h/c is still one of my favorite things in fanfiction, and i mostly stopped feeling bad about it haha.

10. Who is your favorite character(s) to write about and why?

haha probably five though if we're talking about other fandoms as well i really liked jane from the mentalist and ward from iron fist. five is really fun to write about because he's just so. multilayered. complex shall we say. an angry onion with a lot of layers. here we have a traumatized little boy, here we have an angry old man, here we have him threaten his siblings, here he damn near kills himself trying to save them and oh look he's not really an old man he just had to grow up really fast so he's kinda old and mature in some aspects bc trauma ages you q u i c k but in a lot of things he really does act like a petty little shit and its complicated. i have a lot of complicated feelings about him. mostly good feelings. i absolutely adore the depth they added to his character in the show too bc as much as i love unhinged murderer five this tv show five who is just so damn unlucky and exhausted and also loves his family so much he literally rewinds time for them - well he's just the best. he's traumatized and desperate and does everything he does for his family (can they please acknowledge that in s3 pretty please).

1. why did you choose your url?

It was already my user name on AO3 (and maybe some other sites, can't recall) and I wanted consistency across platforms (since I joined tumblr for fandom). And here's the pretentious part: if you didn't know, it's a reference to Hamlet, which is one of my favorite written works ever. Elsinore is the name of the castle where it takes place, so the prince of Elsinore is Hamlet ^^;

I have two, though I'm not gonna name them lol (they're not exactly secret but they're old news). When I first joined I wanted my main to be not totally fandom-dominated (whoops so much for that) so I made a side blog for my main fandom at the time (Hetalia), where I now reblog fanart every once in a blue moon. Lol ok so that's a photo I took (on my first visit maybe?) at Sans Souci palace in Potsdam, Germany.
