Lately, I’ve felt too lazy to do my workout routine so I started thinking of Capitano as motivation. It is Day 3 and that technique is still successful xD

Thinking of older Fatui men with a young, promiscuous and insatiable lover (Genshin Edition) 18+
Featuring: Dottore, Pantalone, Capitano, Pierro
Cw: Dumbification. free use, exhibitionism, cock warming, tiny body worshipping, pet play, throat training, dacraphyllia
Tumblr media
★ ⋮ Dottore ⸝⸝
Is somebody gonna match my freak? No, cause he's ten times worse then whatever the fuck you are.
On the counter, on his table, in his lab, in front whatever abominations he's working on, in the Sumerian Forest to relive his younger years and traumatizing all the aranara, yes sir, you two being fucking 24/7, you wanna be a needy little bitch, my my, he would love to indulge.
Now, he can't exactly just stop his work but that doesn't mean you gotta stop, just lap his balls like a good lil pup, and warm it while he work. And don't you dare try to retreat when somebody walks in his lab, nuh uh, you gotta do your job like a good baby, and focus on him and his cock.
Big on dumbification too, you wanna be little whore and give him those fuck me eyes 24/7? You wanna be a shameless slut humping on his leg when he's working cause you just need it so bad?
Silly thing, you are just asking for trouble aren't ya, getting the big scary doctor addicted to your insatiablilty, unable to focus on his work without his baby pleasing.
God how much he hate when you are doing something else than focus solely on him, and he equally hate when his darling is sad, but he is at the end of the day Dottore, so of course he won't deal with his worries normally.
So, hitting to birds with one stone, he will make sure one way or other to make you his personal fleshlight, constantly pleasuring him and since no thoughts except cock, no sad darling.
Though the jerk sometimes will deny you pleasure or outright attention if he wants in the mood to spice things up. Will lick stains you tears after you fall asleep after crying.
Oh, and despite all the agents in his faction being uncomfortable with the blatant shamelessness of their Boss, and the struggle they go through to not catch a glance of naked you in between his legs, cause that would just lead to their beheading, at least they are grateful that you being there makes him at least a bit rational.
Tumblr media
★ ⋮ Pantalone ⸝⸝
Oh he digs it, definitely the type keep you as his sugar baby, his pretty eye candy he likes to stay on his lap during his meetings. Dressing you up in the prettiest jewels and the softest fabrics, his sweet sweet status symbol.
Loves just being with you 24/7, you make up as a fine entertainment, having you hanging around his arm, groping you in front of whoever's talking to him, shamelessly if they are someone below in rank or discreetly if he respect the other person in front of him. But never showing much of your skin, although he loves to show off his darling, their precious body is only for him to savor.
And also the type to not mind if you have a promiscuous reputation, finds it cute even, you are a trained and experienced one, so that just means better quality, might even tease you about, if he can get a good reaction.
But, that doesn't mean he likes when someone else, especially your ex hook ups point it out, especially if you don't like that. The business smile on his face will remain the same except he will have that anime villain black aura around him, that make the latter super uncomfortable. Don't sweat your pretty head if you later found that person wailing in the northern bank, just focus on your lover.
Big on cock warming too, except instead of oral like Dottore he likes to use your warm holes. Not a big fan on keeping you on the floor, kneeling in front of him, you are his treasure, you deserve to be in equal standing. Sometimes during his break he like to lift you to his table, and pleasure you orally, savoring your taste for a good while, as a thank you for keeping him company.
Tumblr media
★ ⋮ Capitano ⸝⸝
For the captain it's just another one of your cute traits, his needy little lover he likes to take everywhere. Now especially a much younger lover will make Capitano extra protective of them, hence being the only one who will find your insatiably a bit worrisome, especially concerned with how much he could indulge due to being extremely well endowed down below.
Now unlike the other three, his work is out in the battle fields, and heavy expeditions, and normally he would prefer to keep you tucked in Snezhnaya, but insatiable darling is a special case, where he can't just leave them alone with no one to pleasure which means, he just have you travel with him, wherever he goes next, having at least 10 fatui members as your body guard 24/7, and him carrying you princess style, on his back, whatever fits wherever the carriages during the travels can't go, cause fucking him is a goodbye to your legs.
Now back to Capitano's big dick problem, this man loves to use your mouth, but his dick is so hard to fit in! So before travelling with you, back in Snezhnaya he had you warm his cock for prolonged amount of time, slowly increasing the length everyday, so your throat can accommodate his monster of a cock, till you can deepthroat like a pro!
Also likes to pleasure you with his mouth and fingers, stretching you out before every session, despite how much experienced you are, because his cock will hurt, and he can't have his little darling in pain, that just ruin his own pleasure.
But, that's Capitano on a normal day, cause behind the gentle boyfriend persona, there's a devious monster, which comes out when the adrenaline kicks in, especially after a battle, the second he sees you, he's ripping your clothes up, plowing you like a rice farmer, with his tongue shoved down your throat. This isn't jut sex anymore, it's your lover's need to be deeper inside you, as a person, as if he wanna fuck your soul, desperate to have you in his eternity.
Kinda likes exhibitionism too, gets super flustered if you point out the soldiers outside your tent could probably hear you getting railed and then start fucking you even harder, blessing them with your pretty moans.
No one brings up your past or your inability to walk for few days after they heard you moaning loud enough to wake a village like a chicken, out of respect for the captain.
Tumblr media
★ ⋮ Pierro ⸝⸝
He's too old and grumpy to keep up with your bullshit. Try to flirt with him in front of someone and he smack your head. No he's not blushing! Don't point it out, he has he reputation to keep up.
Out of everyone on this list, Pierro will be the one most embaressed to have a lover like this. He has never been the type to around, always been a straight forward man, focused on his work, ethics and goals, even during his days before Khanneria fell. So now having to deal with you it trully is overwhelming for the old man.
Now that doesn't mean he hates it, this man is a simp in heart for real-for real, he just don't know how to show it and has a big enough ego to not try, so yeah, he's tsundere granpa.
Not a big fan of people talking about your reputation, that just pisses him off, you might have a past, but now you are entirely his, and if someone dares mention it, they will disappear from the face of Tevyat.
Also cause grandpa, he fucks the least in the list, but when he doesss. The man fucks nasty, like a rabid animal, making up for all the denial, 10/10 eyes rolling, multiple orgasms, thighs weakening, throat drying by how much he make you scream.
Likes to degrade you for being a desperate whore, calling you mean names till you cry, only to fuck you harder when he start seeing your tears, god this man loves those tears.
Big on pet play too, like calling you his dumb bunny, telling you how you are as simple minded as an animal, as you mouth his dick, earning you a smack as your teeth graze his cock. Once he starts coming out of his shell, he like to keep you in a collar, sometimes even adding a collar to your neck, and just look at you or drag you around.

anon who got beaten by covid coming through with more Capitano thoughts.. (no thirsts..yet. I need to coach myself with scenario building..Capitano talks you through every climax. There. That is the most I can write 😭)
Capitano tried to be patient, he truly tried. But he only sighs softly when communication cannot work but force must.
He is a very broad man and it's quite easy for you to spot his looming shadow over you when you had fallen onto the ground, having tried to escape the cabin with only the moonlight as your guide.
"S- Sir.." You look up, tears welled up in your eyes as you try your best to calm your racing heart. You've seen how he has dealt with..most unsavory soldiers. What will he do to you? A lone soldier who has deserted their post?
The man doesn't say anything for a moment, the darkness of his helmet staring holes into you.
"Have I done wrong with you?" He finally speaks, crouching down to speak with you. Despite him trying to match your height..it only makes it more threatening. "I don't believe.. I've mistreated you?"
He's genuinely confused, he can't..register the fact that he's feared by a soldier that he has treated so gently and nicely. "I apologize if I have harmed you.." He tried to make amends anyways.
But then you go and ruin it by trying to run..tsk, tsk, and of course, he only needs to grab your wrist and you're completely immobile. You are a deserted soldier..and unfortunately it seems like you must treat you as the soldier you are.
Even if he wishes you were more than just a soldier.
Bingo. All he has to do is make your punishment..become his bride. He doesn't like phrasing it as a punishment but..perhaps a training session would be better?
You're still training..just..training to be his wife. (Also training to take his very impressive size that he always sighs as he coaxes you into taking every inch of..)

cw: dub-con, forced marriage, yandere, size kink, female reader
Thank you for sending me a story, I really enjoyed it😽💖 You posted it in two parts, and I replied to both here!! (part 1 of the story is here)
Like gentle giant and skittish darling trope! Frightened, awkward you.
Be informed that you have been chosen as a warrior, and that you have given it your all…but, maybe you don't have the talent here. The combat movements are a bit clunky and don't flow smoothly. The vision tied around your waist shines with the light of the elements, but your skills… (such as flowing out a small amount of water, like a spring spring, or just condensing some cheap gems, or electricity like a kitten claws, etc…). Those skills are just not suitable for fighting, you know? Will you use gentleness against Heavenly Principles, against enemies?
After training, failure and frustration have overwhelmed you, and the physical pain and exhaustion cannot be ignored. Not to mention that Capitano in his cape looks down at you like an unshakable mountain. You rubbed your cheek against his palm and couldn't help biting your lip, shedding tears like a little kitten. He pats your head gently and tells you how to improve your movements and use elemental powers. Easier said than done. You nodded, but there was still no way to improve next time.
He's not biased, really. In Capitano's eyes, everyone can fight, but you… may be able to put your talents in other areas, such as cooking and knitting. Your elements are just as gentle as yours. Maybe you can keep that water and food warm. His confession to you is formal and prepared. He asks you in serious terms if you can marry him and spend the rest of your life together.
You… look terrified, hyperventilating from shock. "Me-me?" You pointed at yourself, shaking. Captain wants to marry you? That first of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers? He was just joking, right? You refused and distanced yourself from him like he was a flood.
I like drama🫣😹 so I added some wind and snow. On a moonlit night, you planned an escape, only to fall on the snow and almost be washed away and submerged by the wind and snow. Looking back, I saw that familiar huge figure walking out of the falling snow. He grabbed your wrist a little too roughly, "Sir- Sir?" As always, you looked at him with tears, but fear gnawed at your heart even more.
"You might be dead." There was ice in his voice. He knelt down on one leg and looked down at you. "What are you doing? Did I… hurt you? If you feel that way, then I apologize."
"I-I'm sorry!" You cried, even the tears froze. You know he's right. He is worried about your safety. How is he going to treat you? Will he put you in jail? Capitano carries you in his arms and takes you back to his home. It's there to restore your body temperature and keep you warm. He immerses you in the warm water and towels you off.
If you don't plan an escape, you can still enjoy your options. Since you ran away… you can't return to Fatui, but as his wife stay with him and receive training. Starting from looking directly at his mask, you panicked, but now you can't. You have to look directly into his dark blue eyes, from the depths of your soul. A huge cock stood erect in the middle of his pubic hair and was leaking pre-cum. You stammered, placing your hands on his heated belly as you looked directly at the impressive size of his cock for the first time, "W-What is this? How does this work…!? Can you- can you be a little smaller…"
That's why you need to be trained to accommodate his size. Capitano knew it was unlikely to work the first time. His cock swells against your belly and rubs against your clit, or pushes deeper into you, opening up the tight folds of flesh. The pounding of pulses sends pleasure through your limbs, into your brain as flesh slaps and pops, until the warm cream spurts and rushes into you.
There will be another training next time.

your knight | princess reader x yandere! capitano
summary: an outing would be nice, it would be even nicer to get away from your overbearing knight for a while
content warning: none!!
part 1, part 2 , part 3
an outing would be nice.
your knight had suggested it and you were hesitant to agree for the sole reason that you did not want to agree with anything he said.
but, he was right, an outing would be nice.
but the issue was where you'd go.
capitano suggested a walk in the forest while you wanted to visit the marketplace.
he buckled, immediately giving in to what you wanted, saying, "if that is where you want to go, then so be it. I must request that you not wander off from me, though."
"if you do your job correctly, you'll never lose sight of me," you comment, "isn't that your sole duty? to follow me around?"
capitano nodded, he acknowledged that you were mocking him but it was, for the most part, true.
yes, he did follow you around, yes, he was overprotective, and yes, he used the excuse of being your knight to excuse his behavior.
...
the marketplace was lively, there were so many things you wanted to see and do, but each time you got too excited, your knight would grab your wrist to ensure you didn't run off.
"please do not run off, princess. that was the deal, after all."
"just-" you tugged away from him, "follow me around, stop grabbing me," you demanded, you couldn't afford for your mood to be ruined on this exciting day.
"as you wish."
you glanced back at your knight before marching forward, pushing through crowds of people, toward a food stand - of course, as the nation's princess, it was an honor to have you visiting their food stand and therefore for you were giving the food for free.
but as you walked away, your knight made an effort to tip the vendor, with a small nod before following after you.
it seemed as if you were trying to lose him. princess... now, he began pushing past people as you watched as you disappeared around a corner.
"princess, don't run off-" anxious, perhaps even a bit worried, capitano pushed past the townspeople, mumbling his excuses.
"forgive me-"
"excuse me-"
"pardon me-"
but even as he apologized, his pushes became rougher, as he became more desperate to get through the crowds and find you.
around the corner, capitano did not see you. his heart dropped, and he felt faint. he had lost you.
"princess, (y/n)- where did you run off to?" oh, how desperate you were to get away from him. forbide something were to happen to you, he would never forgive himself.
"princess," his teeth gritted as he gripped the sheath of his sword to calm himself.
"(y/n)," even the thought of something happening to you while he was not there to protect you made his blood run cold and made his heart beat furiously.
he tried to remain composed. what would the people think if they saw the princess's knight panicking? no, he couldn't risk striking panic into the people.
it would make it harder to find you - or worse, you'd panic and who knows what would happen then?
capitano did try to remain composed but he could not conceal the shake in his hand or the urgency in his steps.
meanwhile, you were watching a puppet show as an honored guest, all while eating your free treat.
...
"oh, this is beautiful," you smiled when a shopkeeper presented a necklace to you, saying, "it is yours, princess."
"really?" you feigned flattery. of course, it was yours! you've been getting gifts all day, this was no different, "thank you! thank you!"
you allowed the shopkeeper to put the necklace on you and then admired yourself in the mirror - it suited you perfectly.
"perhaps I'll look around a bit more-"
the door to the shop swung open, and in stepped your knight, "good sir, have you seen a young lady pas- is that you, princess?"
he wasted no time closing the gap between the two of you. "princess... I've been looking for you."
he didn't seem angry, no, he was relieved to see you, to have found you before anything worse could have happened, "i would have never forgiven myself if you had gotten into trouble."
he pulled you to his chest, his hand resting at the back of your head, holding you close. "your father will know of this," capitano knew very well that your father would overreact, that's what he wanted. anything to keep you safe.
"what? I didn't even do anything! if anything, you failed me. you lost sight of me, what good knight loses sight of their princess?" you really didn't want you father hearing about this - you'd never hear the end of it!
"I will endure any punishment given to me if that means you'll be safer, princess."

Hi I don't know if request are open but can I request a capitano x male reader where the reader gets mistaken for a girl a lot and even capitano thinks he's a girl until like he was getting patched up and had his shirt off (idk what I'm talking about lol sorry it's written so bad)
I love this so much!!! <3 (also, requests are always open <33 I'm just a person who gets busy ^-^" so I write slow sometimes) with that being said, sorry for the wait!
"Ow, ow, ow, ow!"
You clenched your teeth as you dabbed at your wound with a soaking wet cloth. The white if the fabric turning into a dark red as you tried to clean it as best as you could.
Sadly, there were no healers insight. They were all tending to other matters which, of course, left you in the infirmary alone. And your first aid skills were definitely being put to the test.
Though, his sense of danger was quick to snap forward when he heard the door open with heavy footsteps following.
"C- Capitano- sir!"
You were quick to stand, the cloth dropping from your hold as your feet and legs wobbled.
Crap, getting dizzy. Am I... about to fall forward? Did I lose more blood than I thought?
Before your face could greet the stone floor below you, a hard arm easily caught your fall.
"A man?"
You being injured and in the infirmary was of no surprise to Capitano. He was there when you for injured after all.
But, you being a man was what definitely caught his attention. Especially considering how your comrades referred to you as.
You laughed sheepishly as he stood you back up and practically got you to sit back down. His knees bending slightly as he picked up the cloth and replied it to your wound. The actions startled and surprised you, but you decided to answer him first.
"Yeah... about that. I wasn't trying to deceive you or anyone for that matter. You all just keep mistaking me for a woman."
The silence hung the air for a bit, "...even if you are not a woman, I still would have protected you all the same."
Right. Capitano saved you after you for injured. And .. it did make you happy to hear that. Though, you wondered if he saved you because you're part of the Fatui, or if there was something more.
You wanted to ask, but Capitano was an opposing man. Besides, he wouldn't be interested, right?
"Thank you, sir. That means a lot to me. More than you will ever know."
Great, just great. Am I making it awkward now?!
"Knowing that you're alive and soon to be well, also means more to me than you'll ever know."
You felt your face grow hot from his words, but you tried your hardest not to read anything into it. The last thing you need is a great, big misunderstanding.
Like saying "I love you."
"As I to you."
Huh?
Capitano saw your confusion immediately, "you said it out loud."
"Ah. I see."
Maybe getting hurt wasn't so bad after all. Though you did wish your confession didn't quite happen like this...

Hello Hazel!
I'd like to request for a Protection ritual for Il Capitano with lavender, black tourmaline and frankincense please!
Thank you and take care!
Tumblr media
Evergreen (the unexpected), Black Tourmaline (safety, shielding), Frankincense (confidence) Il Capitano x gn reader | Protection Ritual warning: listen --- I make no excuses (also am I a Capitano girlie??) -- uhhh, reader gets a head injury, Il Capitano being demanding, reader held in arms and manhandled a bit (this is SFW but somehow inappropriate?)
Your bones rattled as the mitachuri's ax connected with your spear. The impact shoved you through the loose dirt leaving a scratch of determination in its wake.
Using what dwindling strength you had, you shoved back hoping it would be enough power to buy you time to escape. It managed to throw the brute off balance, but not for long.
Pivoting, you twisted and bolted toward a line of sharp rocks. If you could reach them, they might provide enough of a shield to keep you safe. Unfortunately, a reaction of electro and cryo exploded to your right, pitching your world and sending you flying through the billowing grass. Your head slammed into the ground, stars flared in the midday sun.
You coughed, gasped violently, and laid on your back. Everything hurt.
The shadow of the mitachuri blocked out the sun, its massive, looming figure sending a wave of adrenaline through you. Bending to your side, you pawed through the grass in search of your weapon but before you could grab it, the monster snatched your leg and pulled you toward it. You kicked, but it did nothing.
Fear stole your senses and you stared in stilled horror as its weapon barreled toward you. Your vision clouded. All you remembered was a biting wind, crow feathers, and the sound of someone's voice telling you to hold on.
---
Warmth. Inviting, powerful warmth roused you from the black. You tried to move but the pain in your head warned you to be still. Groaning, you turned into the scent of freshly fallen snow.
"You've awakened," someone hummed above you. A crips timber and aged depth. You tried to open your eyes but it was too bright. "Ah, one moment. There, try now."
Haloed light formed around your blurry vision. The scene came back to you in flashes. A flaming ax, a crystalized blade, and the frame of someone you didn't recognize. When your vision adjusted, you found yourself gazing up at a man shrouded by metal and fabric.
"Ouch," was all you managed to get out.
"It's likely you hit your head. Try not to move."
"Head."
"Do not worry. I have things under control."
You twisted your neck and saw a battle raging on in the distance. Close enough that you could hear the cries and bashing weapons. Instinctually you reached for your own.
"Did you lose something?" the man asked, his free arm repositioning above you as if to help. You wanted to respond but your head was heavy, filled with a fog you couldn't clear. It lulled to the side. "Now, now, stay awake." Powerful fingers gripped your chin and turned you so he could look at you. "You cannot sleep now."
"But ... I'm tired," you mumbled, slurred, and winced at the oncoming pain. You wanted to throw up.
"You will stay with me, do you understand?"
You grimaced, lips curling into a frustrated pout. The man groaned and jostled you awake.
"Il Capitano, sir," a new voice sounded beside you, grating, painful. You whimpered and tried to turn away from it but the hand on your chin refused to let you.
"What is it?" Il Capitano asked, his attention on you never wavering.
"The numbers are thinning out, what would you have of us?"
His fingers pressed into the soft of your cheek, the action forced your lips apart. "Assist the people. See they do not come to harm."
"But - sir." Il Capitano snapped his head to the scout and an uncomfortable silence followed. "Yes, yes sir."
You could hear their shuffling feet, displaced dirt and gravel as they ran back toward the fray. You wanted to fight.
It was your duty.
Where was your spear?
"Are you eager to fight with them?"
Heavy, tired eyes looked at the man with a hidden face. In the swirl and distortion, you swore you could see the outline of something beneath. The edges of a jaw, the silhouette of a nose, the curve of lips. In your daze, you lifted your hand toward him but he captured your wrist before your fingers could touch him.
"What are you doing?" he asked, but it didn't really sound like a question. Something in his tone changed. "How strong is your delirium, little one?"
You stretched your fingers and brushed against something warm. The man's grip faltered allowing you to run them along what you assumed was his lips. They moved right toward the corner of his mask but where warmth once was, cold suddenly appeared.
Il Capitano stole your hand and returned it to your chest, but he lingered, his thumb running along the back before fading from your senses.
"Tired," you repeated and fell against him.
"I have not yet given you permission to sleep."
"Give it to me."
The sound of battle roared to life while the stranger known as Il Capitano held you in his arms. You couldn't see his eyes, but you felt their pressure, their intensity. Your head fell back so he grabbed your chin and gave you a light shake. "Tell me your name."
And you did.
He requested and you provided, and when your mind began to recover, your world found itself one Fatui Harbinger larger.

Tumblr media
“now, go ahead and help out one of the others puppy, best to make yourself useful” childe encouraged, before kissing the back of your neck affectionately.
you stumbled across over to whoever was the closest, which happened to be capitano. you noticed a huge tent in his tight fitting pants, gulping in realisation you’re truly and utterly going to be fucked dumb.
“do me a favour and suck my cock like the slut that you are,” capitano rumbled out from behind his mask. “yes sir,” you curtly whined out, before getting into your knees. capitano took the chance to pull down his zipper and boxers for you, his cock slapping against his abdomen.
suddenly, your mouth was filled with cock. gagging echoed throughout the room, the other harbingers groans joining in. you licked a vein on the side of his cock, causing him to let out a small groan of pleasure. the salty taste of pre invaded your mouth, whining in response. your fingers trailed their way towards your cunny, entering your already cum stuffed hole.
capitano proceeded to un mercifully thrust into your throat, not caring about the tears sliding down your cheeks from said action.
slurping, squelching, groaning and gagging sounds all echoed throughout the room. luckily for you guys said room is sound proof so none of the other fatui members will have a clue as to what’s going on.
without warning, capitanos large, gloved hands forced your mouth to deep throat his cock, with a sudden groan he came down your throat, refusing to let you go until you swallowed all of it down.
“such a good boy, you deserve to be stuffed full of my cum in your pretty cunt too,” capitano practically purred, his hands gripped onto your waist, bringing you onto his lap. your hands grabbed his cock and helped ease it into your cunt.
you whimpered out at the sudden feeling of being full of his fat, long, meaty cock. “oh archons, look at that” pantalone lowly moaned out. confused, you took a glance at to where he was looking. letting out a gasp as you saw the massive tummy bulge, which was very clearly evident from any angle.
“such a good cumdump for us aren’t you?” capitano cooed, his hands gripped onto your waist tightly, slamming in and out of your messy boy cunt. his head snuggled itself into the crook of your neck, you could feel him panting heavily behind his mask.
when capitanos fingers came down to rub messily on your clit, a sudden tingling sensation shuddered throughout your lower half, before you let out a mix between a whimper and a moan whilst climaxing, hard, on capitanos cock.
capitano used you like a fleshlight, refusing to slow down with his harsh, brain melting thrusts. sticking your tongue out and crossing your eyes, letting out seemingly continues moans. an explosion of warmth entered your boycunt, you could feel it spurting right up against your cervix.
“thank you so much for making me cum, capitano sir!” you managed to pant out, legs wobbling on his lap, his cock still resting in your cunt.
“we’re not finished with you yet, puppy. we’ve still got a long way to go. by the end of the night, you’ll be stuffed so full that your stomach will be bulging with the mixture of all our cum,” tartaglia explained. you clenched down tightly on his cock hearing that “ooooh, he likes the sound of that, tartaglia, he just clamped down harder on my cock. you like being our cumdump don’t you?,” capitano asked, slightly grinding more into your cunt.

The captain's hand- Capitano & gn!teen!Reader
Return to File
Recovery date: December 30th, 2024
Description: Hello, I wanted to request something that takes place during the natlan archon quest, so I was thinking, what if a few of the harbingers took on an apprentice or something similar, and the reader is a teenager and is the captains apprentice but they've accidentally called him dad a couple times,
Notes: This work was recovered in conjunction with an anonymous researcher, we thank them for their contributions. I like this concept, honestly i feel like Capitano is probably one of the best mentor/guardians next to Arelcchino.

“Sir Capitano.”
“Ah, Y/n, you’ve returned.” The harbinger didn’t look up from the map sprawled across the table, covered in markers and penciled in notes as he planned out his next move. The Natlan air warmed his back as Y/n held the door of his tent open– the air inside was always significantly cooler for his own comfort. “You may enter.”
The air was reminiscent of a Snezhnayan home when the fire’s running low, not dangerously cold but just bordering on uncomfortable. It made stepping into the warm Natlan sun comforting, unfortunately it made stepping into the tent somewhat unpleasant. Y/n was not dressed for a chill, having spent the better part of the day running reconnaissance in and around the stadium, making them shiver as the tent flap closed behind them.
They rounded the table, standing at attention across from Captaino, and taking a moment to study the map.
The map was an expanded view of the trial stadium, the entirety of the Masters of the Night-Wind’s domain, and part of the nearby Scions of the Canopy territory. Their camp was marked South-East of the stadium, bordering the Masters of the Night-Wind’s domain, and two small squads were represented by red pins. A clear pin was sitting on an unassuming grid block in the Masters of the Night-Wind’s domain, and a black pin was sitting in the camp.
Capitano moved the clear pin next to the black pin, and finally looked up. He was still wearing his heavy cloak, that was probably why it was so cold in here, and his mask. While some may think his back to the door was a sign of relaxation, he was still very much on guard.
“Report?”
“There’s a member from the Masters of the Night-Wind who lives in isolation, but he speaks of a “Granny” often. I believe this Granny is the Citali we’re looking for.”
The harbinger nods and reaches for a piece of paper and a fountain pen.
“Well done. Rest, I’ll have you take this letter to A squad once it’s ready.”
“Yes, sir,” Y/n nods.
The sound of pen scratching on paper pauses as Capitano watches them move to the corner of the office tent and settle onto a bench of crates.
They unwrapped the sweater from their waist, that they carried around solely because the meeting tent was always so cold, and put it on before curling up awkwardly on the bench. There was a tarp covering the crates, and they tested their weight on it to make sure it would hold them as they lay down.
“You may return to your tent,” Capitano said.
Y/n opened their eyes and tried to look at him, though their line of sight was blocked by the table.
“Is that an order, sir?”
“It is a suggestion, I am well aware you find the temperature in here less than desirable.”
“It’s not that bad, it reminds me of home.”
“If you change your mind, I will bring the letter to your tent when I finish.”
“That won’t be necessary,” Y/n assured, staring at him as they waited to hear another argument.
When none came, they closed their eyes and quickly fell asleep. It was a skill Capitano had been quick to instill the importance of; while some harbingers could go long periods without sleep, Capitano much preferred those under his command to be properly rested.
Y/n found the skill difficult to master at first, sleep did not come easy, but as exhaustion built up sleep came easier. Now they simply needed to master the art of waking up efficiently, though he was more lenient as they were still growing.
Arlecchino often shared stories of her children and the behaviours that were unavoidable such as sleeping in during their teenage years. She regarded it as a good sign; a sign that they felt safe.
As he wrote the letter to A squad– a summons to return and report their findings on the leylines, if they had a lead on this ‘Citlali’ they may finally be able to proceed with their plan– he periodically looked over at Y/n.
They were certainly capable, but Captiano has seen enough war to have very strong opinions on it. One such opinion is his distaste for including children on the front lines, though he is no blind idealist. Children will be subjected to the horrors of war, and sometimes the only way to prevent fear from festering is to allow them into the fray.
Y/n was one such case, having been victim to an attack by abyssal monsters at a young age. Their parents were traveling merchants, and they had perished in the attack along Shnezhnaya’s borders. The sole survivor, Y/n had been found hiding among the crates of goods by a patrolling team of Fatui and brought to the barracks for medical attention.
With no family to return to, Arelecchino had agreed to take the young Y/n in as a child of the House of the Hearth only for Y/n to refuse to leave– intent on avenging their parents.
Capitano is still unsure how they wound up as his apprentice, though he’s not sure he would trust Childe with them and Pierro has no interest in taking on an apprentice. Through the process of elimination, he supposes he was the only proper fit– their goals aligned and he could guide them as they matured. He didn’t consider himself to be raising Y/n.
He signed the letter and moved it aside to dry.
“Y/n.” There was no response. “Y/n,” he called a little louder, but there was still no response.
It was almost impressive how they seemed to be able to discern dangerous situations in their sleep. They had no issue waking up during ambushes but could not be moved otherwise.
He made his way to their side, standing closer to their feet so as not to startle them, and tried to gently shake them awake.
“Y/n, I need you to deliver the letter now.”
They groaned softly and curled furthur in on themself. “Papa…” They whined.
Capitano frowned. Were they dreaming of their father? He did not want to disturb their pleasant memories if that were the case, though they’d also mistaken him for their father plenty of times. Namely when they were younger, when safety and their parents were synonymous.
“Y/n.”
Capitano gave them a firmer shake, and they opened their eyes slightly.
“Papa?” They rolled onto their back and rubbed at their eyes, yawning as they looked up at Capitano. “O-oh, Capitano sir, is the letter done?”
Y/n sat up and moved back on the bench so they were a more respectable distance from the Captain.
“Yes, I just need to put it in an envelope.” He moved back to the table while Y/n stretched out and removed their sweater again. “You still have difficulty waking up it seems.”
“Sorry, sir. I’m not really sure how to work on it though.”
“It is a skill trained through experience, I was simply making an observation.”
Returning to the table, Capitano began searching for an envelope to seal the letter in. Y/n joined him and began searching the other half, finding an empty one stuck between some books on the Masters of the Night-Wind. They checked it for any contents before handing it over.
“Thank you.” He folded up the letter and placed it inside before heating some wax to seal it. “I’m sure you will have no trouble finding A squad,” he said, stamping his insignia into the wax and letting it cool. “Once you’ve delivered the letter, I’d like you to take over the search for Citlali in their place.”
Y/n nodded, “In case this hermit doesn’t cooperate?”
Capitano found himself smiling behind his mask, they’d grown confident in their time under his wing. There was no question they had found someone connected to Citlali, only that he would be willing to cooperate.
“Yes. Should plans change, I will send for you.”
He held the tent flap open, and Y/n shivered at the sudden change in temperature as they grabbed the letter and stepped outside. Capitano followed, the two not caring for formality.
“I hope your negotiations go well,” Y/n wished him, stretching out as they prepared to track down the squad.
“And may your search prove unnecessary.”
It had proved unnecessary.
Capitano sent for Y/n when he set off for the stadium, and they found him hiding in a cave with the ‘hermit’.
“Pa- Sir!” Y/n said, being mindful of keeping their voice down as they approached the cave.
The ‘hermit’ turned to Y/n as they ran up to the Captain and put themself between the two men.
“It’s-” The Captain broke into a coughing fit, and Y/n brought out their water.
He waved them off, not wanting to take his mask off, and they frowned.
“No need to force yourself. I’ve never seen anyone match the Pyro Archon in battle before.” The man turned from Capitano to Y/n, who was focused solely on their mentor, and addressed them. “You were watching me earlier.”
They whipped their head around, face slack with surprise as Capitano chuckled. Y/n opened their mouth, ready to defend themself in front of their mentor, when Capitano spoke again.
“Now is not the time, Y/n. I did not expect you to intervene at such a critical moment.”
“You know I’ve been following you. Why didn’t you stop me?”
Capitano waved for Y/n to join him where he was sitting. They hesitated, eyeing the ‘hermit’ suspiciously, before sitting between him and Capitano.
“When walking in the forest, it is only natural to encounter wild beasts. However, not every beast has the courage to come out and bite.”
“And yet, one of those very beasts saved your life”
Y/n turned to Capitano, a look of silent question on their face. He waved his hand dismissively. He would have to tell them what happened later, otherwise he would never hear the end of it; they didn’t like being left in the dark.
“Then speak. What do you want?”
Y/n bit the inside of their lip to restrain themself from speaking. They were left out of the conversation almost entirely, save for the hermit’s brief mention once more of how he’d known they’d been watching him. It made them feel a bit better that he’d only known because his soul was sensitive and they radiant a small amount of abyssal energy, though they made a mental note to be more careful going forward.
The Captain stood up, and they followed suit.
“Let’s go. We’ll see if you have what it takes to join my plan.”
Together, the three left the cave and began the round-about route back to camp.
“My name is Ororon, by the way.”
“Huh?”
Y/n turned to him, the two youngest were following behind the Captain.
“I never introduced myself, that was rude of me, and I never asked your name.”
Ignoring him, Y/n turned ahead again and sped up until they were in step with Capitano. Without a word, Capitano took two long steps until he was ahead of them again; a silent order to remain at Ororon’s side.
“Is he your father?” Ororon asked, as they fell back into step with him.
“What?! No!” Y/n stumbled. “Where would you get an idea like that?”
“You called him Pa, back in the cave.”
“I did no such thing.”
“You did.”
“I did not.”
“Alright… Can I at least get your name?”
“I doubt you’ll be around long enough for it to matter,” Y/n grumbled.

I saw ur response about that arranged marriage au with Capitano and i can't stop myself from laughing just thinking about his soldier teaching him "How To Communicate with Your Lover 101" 😂
Like, imagine his soldiers asking him to demonstrate of how he usually express his love to reader 🤣 so, one of the fatui soldier decided to act as "his lover" and.. Oh boy, it went REALLY awkward bcs he just *STARES* at them like he is a monster staring into their prey's soul 😭
When they ask Capitano about it "..my lord, is that your way of expressing your affection towards your lover every single day?" and when he said yes, all of them just facepalm'd so hard and internally screaming "HOW THE HECC YOU EVEN THINK THAT AS 'SHOWING AFFECTION'-" 💀😭 Dear Tsaritsa, he has a long way to go.
I feel bad for the soldier tho, imagine u have to deal with so many things since u are a Fatui and then u have to help ur Captain with his love problems 😭
I'm sorry if this is messy but omg Smooches thank u for feeding me more Capitano brainrot bcs god... i REALLY want him so bad 😭😭 I hope u are doing well and have a great day! 💓🙏🛐
-🥝
RAHHHH I LOVE THIS!!! Fatui soldiers being the best wingmen for their boss. + If we think about it there's probably a book in Tevyat related to couples communication/advice 101, the soliders probably tell him that it might be more helpful than them (they're not sure how much longer they can last in this conversation) Capitano ends up purchasing multiple and now he reads them alone in his office and internally he thinks "damn couples actually do this? i messed up 😭 they hate me now 😭"
That poor soldier, being in the Captain's presence is already hard enough but having him standing in front of you, staring into the depths of your soul without a word?? They're not sleeping tonight. And now the soldiers have an amazing story to tell around the campfire at least, the time the 1st Harbinger demonstrated his ways of affection in front of them.
And he just keeps staring until one of the soldiers has the courage to interrupt and ask him if that's really how he shows affection and Capitano just... nods like it's normal. And now Capitano is not an idiot because he can still clearly see how his soldiers are scratching their heads awkwardly and sending each other strange looks, and he immediately knows that this was not a good demonstration in the slightest. He would just clear his throat and be like "ahem. apologies for wasting your time. back to training." And then the soldiers would honestly feel bad and throw him a little advice like "sir, maybe you should gift them something nice to show your appreciation for them." 🥺 "or perhaps lord capitano, maybe a letter would be nice!"
Though these good ideas he's still a bit lost, because 1. he doesn't know what you like very well, and he doesn't want to accidentally gift you something bad. But then he realizes he can just ask the attendants! Yes, this is going good. As for the letter... he wonders what he should ask you. Are you doing well? Normally these are questions you ask someone in person, especially since you two live in the same house... but you seem to be a bit on edge while he's around. Maybe writing it down will be easier for you too! Hopefully you'll respond.
No thank YOU for feeding me this omg you make me love Capitano 1000000x more ily 💖💖 I hope you're doing well too 🥝 anon mwah!

More CapiTaru fisting extravaganza previews be upon thee
A worryingly decisive expression had already been marked out on his face before they could intercede whatever insane ideas his mind was feeding him. “The Captain is always so controlled. I wonder if I could work him up enough to fist me, hahaha!” Tartaglia laughed at what he perceived as completely normal dialogue about his odd, unrelenting habit of nagging his comrades for a fight without a clue to the real insinuation of his words.
The soldiers blanched. “No!” The cinin mage and vanguard skirmisher shouted before they could think. Gods above he really did NOT know what that meant.
“No?” Tartaglia frowned, confused by their fretful yells.
“W-what we mean to say, my Lord…uhm, that is…” the cinin mage stuttered.
The mirror maiden butt in to save her. “Lord Capitano might…misunderstand your intentions.”
“What’s there to misunderstand?” he asked.
They all fidgeted uncomfortably. “I heard the Captain is, uh, in an ill mood today so perhaps it would, uhm, be in your best interest to not provoke him,” the agent lied. It took everything in the other three to restrain their reactions as he said probably THE WORST possible thing to say to their tenacious lord.
Tartaglia brightened at the agent’s words and it was then the man finally grasped he had fucked up. “That just sounds like a better chance for a fight to me! Thanks for the concern, comrades, but there’s no need to worry for me, your faithful Vanguard.” He winked. “A good fight is the best way to shake off some pent up feelings anyways, if I can take him that is!”
The cinin mage felt like crying. Her favorite boss was going to humiliate himself in front of his idol all because she couldn’t hold her tongue! Any chance he had with the Captain would be ruined! “Lord Tartagliaaa,” she moaned, already mourning his fate.
He waved off her concern. “Bah, have a little faith. Now, if you’ll excuse me,” he straightened out his jacket, “I’ve got to see if I can survive a proper fisting—” the cinin mage bit her fist— “from Sir Capitano.” He gave them a loose salute and that was that. Off he went, off they let him go, irreversible damage done, dead tomorrow if he remembered their faces.
They waited until he was well out of hearing reach to implode. The cinin mage crumpled into a sit on top of a nearby crate with an anguished wail, while the vanguard skirmisher and mirror maiden ranted at the agent.
“Tsaritsa’s tits, man! the vanguard skirmisher swore. “That’s the stupidest thing you could have said to the man who lives to cause problems!”
The agent leaned back from a pointing finger shoved in his face. “You better pray this doesn’t come back to bite because it’ll be your ass we’re putting on the line!” the mirror maiden threatened.
“Me?!" the agent shouted, then pointed at their crying comrade. “She’s the one who—” he cut himself off with a gulp at the mirror maiden's death stare. “Right, my ass,” he meekly agreed. He would put all his faith in Lord Tartaglia tonight, for the sake of both their asses….

Correspondence (pt. ll) - Mika, Capitano, Varka
Aka; Mika wingmaning for Varka and Capitano, 2.3k words
~
Mika found himself an… unexpected new responsibility, what with their expeditions traveling side by side for the time being, Varka had thought it fit to use Mika as the currier between the sides, since he was already aquainted. As such, he was running between the two to trade information on the upcoming routes, or to simply invite the other side over for dinner.
One such situation had Mika walking into the enemy camp. Heads turned towards him, but they recognized him by now, letting him nervously trot up to a high ranking looking personnel.
“H-hello. Grand Master Varka requested I shared information on the path ahead. We scouted out some upcoming terrain issues.”
“Hm.” The general replied simply. “Take it to Capitano. He requested you be sent his way next time you cross over. Training is done so he will be within his tent. Just go in.”
The general pointed him towards the large tent set in the middle of the encampment. Large enough for someone even of Capitano’s size to stand fully within it. “Oh. A-alright.”
Which is what lead him to Capitano’s tent, sitting nervously across from the man as he shared information.
Mika couldn’t help but wonder if this was part of his training, facing such a terrifying man diplomatically. It got easier though. Capitano was a beast of a fighter during training. Untouchable in terms of strength, except maybe by Varka. As such, when they were on the move, Him and Varka led the expedition by horseback, side by side.
“S-sir? Varka requested I-”
Capitano tilted his head towards him. The gaping void of the mask swallowed all light, but Mika got the impression the man was looking his way. “Sit, scout.”
Mika did so, silently reminding himself of good relations and respectful interaction. Archons, why was this his job?
“So, you came here for…?” Capitano asked. His voice was deep and smooth.
“Ah, yes. Varka requested I share.” Mika quickly handed over the mapping, which detailed the paths ahead, along with the issues with each one. “The westmost path is long, at a roughly thirty-five degree angle going through it, and the recent rain has rendered it muddy. It poses a hazard for horses. The second is over forty feet wide and the straightest shot towards progressing, but we have concerns about rock slides closing off the path. The third requires traveling a ten foot wide cliff edge during the worst of it.”
“Good to know. Our own scouts came to similar conclusions. With less detailed maps though.” He thumbed over the paper. “Does Varka wish for the soldiers to eat communally today?”
“He said nothing of it, sir.”
“Hm. You said you were fifteen when we first met, correct?”
Mika froze, Capitano had never delved into person conversation before, despite having been the designated currier between the two for a few weeks. “Well—yes. I am fifteen, sir. Soon to be sixteen.”
“Young for someone with Varka’s expedition, which has been active for years.”
“I am capable… sir.” he said, did he say that before? When they first met? Mika couldnt quite remember with all the days that’d gone by.
“Indeed. I’ve seen some of your maps when meeting with Varka. You are incredibly talented with drafting military maps. They rival ours, which are drawn by men twice your age—and stature.”
“Thank you?” Was that a compliment?
It probably was. Capitano continued, appraising Mika with a tilt of his head. “You are a good scout. Could use some meat on your bones, though. You know, in Snezhnaya, we at least try to feed our boys.”
“I—I am fed well, I promise. I am just on the skinnier side.” Mika responded, feeling an embarrassed heat rise to his cheeks.
“Hm. Boys like you freeze back home.”
“I am not too concerned with freezing currently.” Mika laughed slightly. “Natlan is quite hot.”
Capitano seemed to drop it, instead turning the conversation. “Grandmaster Varka, what is your opinion of him?”
“Well—I’m not quite sure I can answer these types of questions.”
“It is nothing of intelligence I assure you. Just a personal inquiry on the character of one of your comrades.”
“Alright then...”
“So, is your opinion of the Grandmaster?” Capitano asked.
“Grandmaster Varka?” Mika tilted his head. “Well, he’s my combat instructor so he’s taught me a lot. He’s a very good Grandmaster. He’s very…”
“Boisterous? I’ve seen such. He is a loud man. Proud to laugh. I’ve seen. He often, and with enthusiasm, invites me to a drink. He is a good conversationalist, if a little long winded.”
Mika resisted the urge to wrinkle his nose at the mention of Alcohol. “Yes. He’s—he’s a good man, really. I respect him deeply. He’s very honorable as well. There’s no one else I’d have leading us.”
“I see.”
“And of Varka, surely a man of that renown has a lover?”
What.
What.
“I mean… he has children. Two, both adopted vision holders, that are in Mondstadt, but—I suppose there are only rumors of flings. Nothing solid, definitely not official or–or public. I guess.”
“And of these flings, who has been the subject of them?”
“S-sir… this is very quickly turning to a subject I cannot talk about.” Mika bit out, flustered. What was this man playing at?
“I apologize, but ask you indulge me, scout.” The Captain dipped his head.
Oh. Oh. Mika… supposed he could help out Varka and the Captain in this regard. There couldn’t be much harm in it. “W-well… there was rumors with a admiral of similar age stature, but that was long before the expedition.”
“And what was this… admiral like?” Mika immediately deduced this question’s true intention. The Captain wanted to know the gender.
“I don’t know much about him. This was before the expedition so I was quite young. More of gossip. The admiral though I met in passing later on, he was a decorated man. But he did not join the expedition.”
Capitano seemed to have gotten what he was looking for. He dipped his head in gratitude. “Hm. Thank you. You’ve been very insightful.”
He seemed appreciative, as if what Mika had done was more than just participate in gossip. The young scout tired hard not to smile. Honestly he should get a metal of valor for this. Or maybe an acting award. Does Liyuean theatre hire Mondstadters? “N-no issue, sir. Was that everything you need?”
“Yes. You are free to return to your camp. Oh, and tell Varka we extend an invitation to him and his comrades for a joint dinner.”
Mika left that tent, struggling to maintain a straight face as he darted from the fatui camp, only breaking out into giggles as he ran back to Varka’s tent.
That night, Mika watched as Capitano chose to take a seat at the bonfire next to Varka at dinner, instead of the other way around. And when Mika had to retire to his tent, he glanced over at the near abandoned bonfire, The Captain and Varka still sitting by it long after the other’s retired.
~
“I must ask, is this a common arrangement, Grandmaster?”
Capitano asked, long after their sins had been committed, as they laid against one another. They were in Varka’s tent, Capitano having abandoned his own. Just for the night. And maybe another.
“Bedding opposing military personnel? Can’t say it is.” Varka’s laugh was soft.
Grandmaster of the country of freedom meeting with the highest commander of the goddess of love. To an outsider, it would make sense, be beautiful in a way.
To Capitano it was a slight to his goddess, equal to heresy. To Varka it was an embodiment of his ideals.
“Is that comforting, Captain?”
“How is the boy?” He asked instead of answering.
Varka knew who he was referring to. “Mika? Good. He’s back on scouting shifts and training.”
“You take a lot of care with the boy. I’ve seen you personally training him.”
“I try to pay special attention to Mondstadt’s vision holders. And the attention is good for him. He does not have many… responsible men in his life.”
Capitano stayed silent, hoping Varka would elaborate despite doing so would probably be invading the boy’s privacy. He did not. Instead the man sighed.
“I have a soft spot for the boy as well. I have it for most kids.” Varka said. He was always doing that. Just admitting things. Freely. As if no one was listening. “Which is probably how I ended up with two despite not having a wife.”
This was new. “You have children?”
Varka laughed, and Capitano felt as though he had referenced a joke he hadn’t learned yet. “Some would say—they themselves change opinions on the topic. The younger of the two is Razor. I knew his parents, but they died, and the boy was raised by wolves. The lad is still half feral according to his teacher, but he wields a claymore and an electro vision…”
Capitano listened. It was another one of Varka’s long winded tangents, where he hid nothing and spoke because he loved to.
“The elder is Rosaria. She’s an adult, a nun of the church, though you’d sooner guess a vampire from her way of dress.” He gave a small laugh. “She wields a polearm and a cryo vision. Deadly, the girl is. I didn’t even train her to be so, I left her in the care of the church hoping she’d find peace. Instead, she found it necessary to put others to peace. Pretty soon the two of them will be able to hold blades against their old man. I wouldn’t mind it.”
Capitano hummed.
“Those are only the ones who choose to call me family. There are others I’ve done my best to help raise—an old friend of mine had two sons. The red haired one…”
And Varka shamelessly fell into another tangent, detailing, with glowing pride, his children and their lives back in his homeland.
“Then there’s Mika. I’d be lying to say anything less than I see the boy similarly to Razor and Rosaria. Perhaps it’s simply because he’s been the youngest of our expedition, and I’ve had no one else to exercise what my daughter refers to as ‘empty den syndrome’ onto, but I do think of him quite fondly. He, though, has a set of parents, though—ah. I seem to have gotten off track. Yes, I have children.”
“I don’t mind.”
“Many would.” Varka responded. And then they laid in silence a moment longer.
Varka breathed like he spoke, deep, loud, and without care. Not an ounce of tension to the man. Capitano wanted to gently rest his hand around the other’s throat, just to feel the thrum of his windpipe as the other would surely laugh at the motion. It was an infatuation uncharacteristic of him. And so, once again, he distracted himself.
“Mika is young. Very. For a scout. He must have been younger when he joined the expedition, and younger then when he joined your knights.”
Varka hummed. “He was. Twelve when he started as a courier for the knights. Thirteen when he earned his vision and officially joined under one of my officers. The boy has always been flighty—uncertain. It was much worse back in the city. He’s come far.”
“I’d imagine it’d be better—what with his family nearby.”
Varka sighed, face falling into far off frustration, not directed at Capitano. “His parents have always been moving about as adventurers, and Mika found himself being raised by—or rather raising, I’d think—a much older brother with a drinking problem. The amount of times me or my men have seen the poor boy dragging his adult brother from Angel’s share is pathetic. I’d dismiss the older from the knights but I’m certain he’d just wallow at the tavern until they sold the house.”
Well. That was quite a confession. One he didn’t quite know how to respond to. “I suppose that’s why the boy always looks seasick when we pass around fire-water.”
“Indeed. It’s unfortunate but it’s simply what it is.”
“I’ve never understood how Mondstadters can leave their children about. To wander and such.”
“Our landscapes are safe, our weather temperate, and our predators few and far between. The freedom gives them strength.”
This, Capitano knew.
Snezhnaya was much the opposite. Their icy land filled with jagged edges, the weather raging and dangerous, their predators always stalking. Huddled close together and around warm hearths is what allowed them life. The love, perhaps, is what gave them their strength.
Freedom and love. Between the two of them, Capitano would offer both roles to Varka. The man was undeniably better versed in each, and when he commuted his heresy he had no duty pulling him away, no god to judge him. But, Capitano supposed, if needed, he’d take one.
Once upon a time, the Tsaritsa’s gospel and worship spoke of love. The different kinds, the magic of it, the gift of it. Once, Snezhnaya was icy cold, but warm in the ways of his goddess’ love. He remembered sermons where preachers promised them that they will fall in love, and may pursue that love under the protection and benevolence of their goddess. No matter what land they hailed from, or scars they bore. Now though, such practices were abandoned as his goddess The Tsaritsa ended such worship. Now, there was no promise of acceptance, should it be found him and Varka had courted.
He shifted to his side, propping himself up on one arm, to look Varka in his eyes. Then he planted a kiss on the man's jaw, scratchy stubble brushing against his lips. He’d take that chance. If even for the fleeting moments that their sides passed one another in their lives.

what character makes you want to bash your head into wall because they are just SO
(yes, i’m taking that post wishing for an ask game as the ask game what about it)
(THANK YOU HAHAH)
Anon....do you know how many of my blorbos fit that description!?!?!?!?! I go thru phases with characters, whoever is most recent/prevalent is probably who I wanna gnaw on the most. Any time I watch/play/read literally anything, I always pick a blorbo that I can screech over. So many niche fanart ideas that never came to fruition sob sob. Maybe you should ask me by specific year and month LMFAO, nah cause I'm seriously so deranged abt it. But right now, obviously: Capitano.
GRRRRRRR HIS FULL OUTFIT REVEAL IS INSAAAANEEEEEWE!!!!!!!!!!! I WASNT EXPECTING THE WAIST!?!??!?!?! I was rly worried I wouldn't like his outfit, since in Lazzo he looked to be wearing a robe? So I was like, ah keep the coat on, sir. But it seems to be a cropped jacket?!??!!? It honestly reminds me a bit of Hussar uniforms tbh. And the fucking chains??? Sir. And the way he whipped off his huge coat. Agh. He reminds me a lot of my one oc, in terms of character design.

That tiny bit of waist. God. He seems to be a lot more built so I'm quite feral. In my prev post, I said I have categories of blorbo. There's outliers of course but if a chara fits in one of my categories, it's just a K.O. I love masked characters......so fucking much..... I was making weird screeching noises watching his short clips. He's so!!!!!!!!!

Many Moons Ago
A capitano x reader series part 3 masterlist
The ride was silent and agonizingly long. You kept your instincts on high alert for the possibility of some of your items being lost in the way, you had even refused to eat or drink anything since you left the hotel.
—I still remember that tale you told me when we first met—Capitano suddenly commented, you turned to look at him—would you perhaps share another one?
Even if it sounded like a question you knew it was an order, you didn't want to give him the honor of knowing more of them but if something like this secured your survival all you could do was to swallow your pride and give into him. So you thought about what to tell until a good story came to mind.
—Many moons ago—you started—there was a crown princess, in her life all she ever knew was softness and warmth, never would she have thought that outside the castle's walls her kingdom was sinking in the war.
You kept on talking, there was a beauty to this story and that was that depending on the listener some would find this story as an inspiring tale of love, for the princess had married the prince of the enemy kingdom, for other this was a tragedy, a story of a woman loosing her freedom and being obligated to marry the man who was responsible for the slaughter of her people. You wondered how capitano saw it.
—What an interesting tale, I have never heard one where the listeners views shaped the ending.
He had seen it for what it truly was. You had to give it to him, the man was smart. You wondered if you had made a mistake by telling him this story, maybe he felt that you insulted his intelligence? Or perhaps he was unhappy with the story you had told him?
—Stories are not only meant to entertain, but also to inspire people, to challenger their ideals and morals—he explained, you regrettably found solace in those words—you posses two very important qualities, I have made a fine choice in hiring you.
—And I thank you for the opportunity, sir—you said out of obligation.
Suddenly the dense forest was cut off by tall walls, you peeked outside the window and saw first a garden and later, still far away, a mansion.
—We have arrived to my residence, I hope it suits your taste.
It didn't matter whether it did or not, you would be out of here as soon as possible, first things first, you needed your things. When the carriage stoped you got out of it immediately and walked to your belongings, hastily looking for a specific item, but no matter how much you searched for it you couldn't find it. Your breathing started to become irregular, panic mixed with your sweat as you forced a gulp, you clenched your fists hard and felt the familiar blood rush that made your veins turn bright red, luckily though, you were wearing globes.
—I took the liberty of keeping this safe as it seemed to be very important for you—you turned to him almost as if being pulled by strings, he had the dairy in his hand and held it like it was nothing—we have to leave for a mission immediately, if I find your performance to be up to my standards you will have it back, think of it as a security deposit.
Great. Amazing. Now you had to stay with all of these humans for the whole ride and for someone who has experiences so much hardship in their life time you sure found that calming yourself was one of the hardest things you could do. Still you followed him as he explained the mission, you barely even heard what he said if you were honest, the architecture of his home stunning you so much that it had you looking all around you with your mouth hanging slightly open, Capitano noted your expression and instead of questioning whether you were listening to him or not he just stoped talking, it wasn't like it was that important for you to know the contents of the mission anyway, all you had to do was help the injured and keep his troops morale up with your stories, for having such an easy job your salary sure didn't reflect that, not that he complained anyway, after all it was him who suggested the amount and if it was completely up to him everything that he owned would be yours, including himself.
Everyone had two hours to prepare for departure and when the time came a dozen horses were waiting outside, Capitano had showed you yours, which you were supposed to ride next to him all the time, "for security reasons" he said, you didn't believe him. Capitano even tried to help you get on it but you didn't even want to have him close, much less touch you, and after all a simple jump was all you needed since you had rode more horses than the years he's been alive for. Another hour later you finally left his residency, it would take a full two days to get to the location, in all of this time you learned more about his soldiers, you helped them hunt for food and taught them how to cook it, it took just two days for you to develop a soft spot for them; too bad it was soon emptied out.
The battle had already started when you got there, which meant there were already people that needed your help but the healers they had brought were completely useless at their job and what was worse their egos got the better of them.
—If you are going to help then do it right, I don't care who you are but if anyone dies their blood will be in your hands, do you really want to go to tell their families they are dead because of your incompetence?
A small earful and an attitude was all you needed for you to command them, at first there were only a couple of stretchers with badly hurt soldiers, but more and more started coming until some had to be treated on the floor. Those who were in command needed to know the situation so you hastily left after taking of your bloodied gown and ran to Capitano, who was in the middle of the fight, swinging around the biggest claymore you had seen like it was nothing, with that and what you guesses were his instinct he dodged every bullet and skill shot directed at him, expect one, and you didn't need a patient like him in the medical tent. You grabbed a pebble of the floor and threw it in his direction, impacting against the bullet before it could get to him and warranting his attention.
—Tell your troops to be more careful or I'll start amputating limbs!—you yelled before returning to the tent.
After that you had no idea how long it had taken for the battle to be won and for everyone to be patched off and be left for recovery, all you knew is that it was dark and you were tired.
—The Lord Harbinger needs you—said a recruit outside the medical tent.
You gave a big sigh and started walking to Capitano's tent, how did you know which one it was? Good question, you just had to look for the biggest one and low and behold there he was, full of scrapes and slashes but unless he somehow got an infection he would be alright. You started treating him right away, neither of you spoke and while you tried to keep all of your attention on his injuries it was a difficult thing to do considering how hard he was staring at you.
—You are really lucky, healer—you would argue otherwise—if anyone else had threatened me the way you did their head would be decorating the top is a stick.
—I apologize for my words, I never meant to offend you—you lied, screaming at him felt amazing—yet there were so many injured people coming every second that it would be impossible to help all of them.
He kept quiet for a while before speaking.
—I understand, I will order my soldiers to be more careful—you finished treating him and he wordlessly handed you the dairy—your performance was up to my standards, what's more, one of the other injured soldiers told me that the moment you came in you had tamed all of those prideful healers and started ordering them around.
—I just feared that their incompetence might do more harm.
You looked at the dairy in your hands, holding it like it was a hurt baby chick, you had endured all of that just to finally get what was yours back, your reason to keep going had barely any weight in your hands with how worn out the leather of the cover was from all of the years you had kept it. Suddenly you turned around at the sound of a crash and on the floor Capitano layed, his leg probably broken, how more perfect could this be? The Harbinger of the fatui was hurt, his soldiers were too weak to go after you and with the veil of the night and your dairy in hand your escape would be perfect, yet you didn't feel glad about it, in fact you felt sort of guilty, it did make sense though after all in these days you had traveled next to him, Capitano had also given you a soft spot and even if the time to run was now you couldn't, everything that your body could do was move to help him stand up, his weight barely even noticible as you helped him to a chair.
—Please inform me the next time you fracture anything—you pleaded to him as you once again started treating him—luckily it will not need surgery, but even after I treat you, you will still need to be careful.
He didn't answer with words but with actions. Slowly Capitano rolled off your bloodied gown, grabbed a wet rag before sliding it across your face, taking off the dirt and blood off of it and lastly he grabbed the coat that hanged at the side of the chair and covered you with it.

CHAPTER 7 - DAYBREAK
childe x reader, wc: 4.2k, masterlist, Ao3
cw: nsfw, violence, murder
Tumblr media
Childe left the apartment as soon as he left your room. He had a whole barrage of things to complete now that he had finally arrived in Liyue. Signoria had told him two things in exchange for helping her track down Barbatos. One. To seek a man who went by ‘Zhongli’. The second was that a Sigil of Permission was being held by Yangshang Teahouse. Despite Childe’s overall intolerance for La Signoria’s entire being, she was useful when she needed to be, but only when there was something in it for her.
He had to check in at Northland bank first but it seemed that the owners of Yangshang were yet to pay their debt to the Fatui, a perfect opportunity to take the Sigil and begin replicating it in order to summon Osial and force Rex Lapis’s hand.
He had organised to meet the consultant tomorrow at Liuli Pavilion for lunch. But now it was time to make people pay their debts, the sooner he can get the Sigil the sooner he can prove himself. He makes his way up the winding balcony and red-lacquered stairs of Liyue Harbour to Northland Bank.
As he approached the guard, if he recalled correctly her name was Nadya, she had been under his division for a while now. She stood to attention and saluted.
“Welcome Lord Tartaglia, Nothing to report'' she said sharply in Snezhnayan, Childe had to admit hearing and speaking in his mother tongue was a small comfort one he missed.
“Thank you Nadya” He responded in Snezhnayan
He brushes past her and strides into the bank. The bank teller looks up sharpy, clearly not expecting anyone past the bank closing. Much like Nadya she immediately stands to attention, despite the standard grey Fatui mask covering her eyes she was quite clearly shocked.
“Lord Harbinger, Please forgive me I was not expecting your arrival. I am Ekaterina, the receptionist at Northland Bank. Please allow me to show me to your office” She said softly, hand on her chest, not a strand of hair out of place.
“No need to worry Ekaterina. Please” Ekaterina stands and heads up the staircase concealed by the desks at the front and leads him to the second level. She stops at a door above the entrance to the bank, giving him a full view of the interior.
“Your office Lord Harbinger”
“Thank you, dismissed” Without another word Ekaterina dismisses herself and leaves Childe to work. Childe was impressed that he couldn't hear her footsteps as she left, she would be useful later.
Childe walks into the office, it looked like his apartment, decorated in the standard Liyuan style. He beelines towards the desk, already covered in stacks of paperwork to look for what he needed. After a few minutes he finds the file on Yangshang Teahouse and their debts to Northland as well as their assets, just as Signoria told him the Sigil was in their possession, as for how they got it in the first place was anyone's guess.
Immediately making his way back downstairs he tracked down the Pyro Agent responsible for debt collections that night.
“You, Javert is it?” he signalled to the Agent “Come with me, were headed to Yangshang Teahouse for a debt collection”
The agent appeared hesitant “Sir, need you see to such a routine matter?” His voice was augmented by the mask he wore, a handy invention of Capitano.
“Relax, I have… other matters to attend to”
“If you command Lord Harbinger” He gave a short bow and waited for his next order
Without another word the two made their way to the infamous teahouse. Sneaking in the backdoor Childe heard the tail end of a conversation between the owner and a woman
“…We can make it far away with this” The owner said, pushing up his glasses and crossing his arms, he seemed too sure of himself for Childes liking, it would be satisfying taking him down a peg. He seated himself down in a chair in the shadows, agent standing behind him.
“But Master” the woman hesitated, the jewels of her expensive-looking hairpin swung with the movement of her head, her voice lowered to a whisper “What about the debt?”
Childe decided it was his time to interject he tapped a finger against his knee “Oh yes, I’ll be here to collect that” he said, his voice having a hint of amusement weaved in with the sinister tone
“What? Who's there!” the owner yelled, looking around furiously before spotting him sitting in the shadows.
The woman broke out into a panic “Guards! Protect the Master!” She ran behind a table, hands white-knuckling the edge. Two burly guards closed in behind the so-called master, wielding nothing but wooden bats. At first sight Childe could see that he would beat them with no effort, they were slow and uncoordinated. For a place so elusive they couldn’t even hire competent guards
“No matter what you owe, you cannot run from your debt. Is that not the Law of the God of Contracts in Liyue?” Childe rested a hand on his head and finally made eye contact with the owner. An indigent expression was painted across his face. He raised a shaking finger accusingly at Childe.
“F-Fatui! How dare you barge into a private residence!” He whipped his head “Guards! Show them how we treat unwanted guests at Yangshang Teahouse!”
Childe stood instinctively drawing his hydro blades holding them back handed.
“Hah, not much for adversaries” he said, his cool demeanour contrasting the heated situation. Childe instantly jumped in.
He slid behind the guards and hit one on the back of the neck, the sickening crunch of bone rang through the room. The guard fell to the floor with a loud thump, with his body unable to move his eyes darted to Childe. He moved onto the next, the guard swung his bat and Childe ducked under the blow. He aimed his blade so it laid flat and stabbed it into the man's rib cage directly into his beating heart. Childe lodged his other blade in the first guard's back, he took in one last shaking breath as the light in his eyes died.
Childe stalked up to the owner, new dual blades forming to replace the old ones.
“Now, time to pay your debts comrade”
“I-I have no money as of now but give me a few more weeks the debt and interest will be paid in full! Please!”
“It's been months of us knocking at your door, you say the same thing every time don't you?” He drew closer to the owner, blade pressed against his throat “Begging is rather unbecoming for a man of your status isn’t it?”
“If you don’t have the mora then give us material goods and then your debt would be considered cleared”
“I would rather die than give up my life's work to the likes of the Fatui!” he shouted, back pressed against the wall. Even with his life under threat he still believed himself to be invincible.
“Very well” without a second thought he banged the man's head forcefully against the wall knocking him unconscious. The woman still behind the table screamed. The Pyro Agent who had been standing in the corner moved to quickly cover her mouth. Childe turned towards her.
“I’m feeling merciful today, I’ll let you go. Tell a soul about what happened here and you’ll meet the same fate as your owner” He decided to not tell her that he didn't actually kill him yet. The woman nodded vigorously and Childe nodded to the agent. He unhanded her and stood back against the wall. The woman collapsed to the floor panting, clutching her chest.
“Now, tell me where your goods are and we’ll leave you be” The woman pointed to a painting that hung on the wall.
“B-Behind there, the key is on the owners neck” Childe crouched down and found a worn piece of string tied around his neck, a key tied to the end of it. With a harsh tug it snapped off. He carefully took the painting off the wall and opened the hidden compartment. Even his security wasn’t well thought out. He mused to himself.
Taking stock of what was in there he grabbed an ornate box and flicked it open. Inside was exactly what he was looking for. The golden sigil floated upright in his palm. The Pyro Agent stepped forward a little.
“I never would have thought that an ordinary person had a Sigil of Permission in their possession. Its been years since anyone has seen one of these” he said in awe
“Your job is debt collection, and yet you failed to check what treasures he might possess that you might collect?” Childe snarked back
“Apologies, a dereliction of my duties”
“Enough, lets go”
“Yes sir”
Childe and the agent stopped out the same way they came in. On the way back to the bank he gave one final order to the agent .
“Javert” The agent stood to attention “Return to the bank with another agent, clean up the mess there and possess any treasures you find, ensure that the woman doesn't say a word. I’ll handle the owner” With a way of his hand he dismissed him.
He immediately made his way back to Northland bank. On the way back he overheard two people talking, a snippet of their conversation caught his attention.
“...strange blond traveller, couldn't be older than seventeen and a small fairy. Apparently he’s causing quite the stir in Mondstadt. Something about single handedly fending off the city from a dragon”
"I heard he doesn't even have a Vison but he was still able to harness Anemo"
Childe decided to put a pin that for later, he had only just left Mondstadt. For someone to obtain such notoriety in a short amount of time, and for it to reach Liyue so quickly. It would be useful to know more.
Opening the heavy doors he saw Ekaterina still sitting at the desk he was surprised to see her hanging back so late.
“Ekaterina, what are you still doing here?” he asked jovially
“I had a feeling you would need me to be around Lord Harbinger”
“Rather insightful aren't you comrade? As a matter of fact I do have something I need you to do. Come with me to my office”
Childe and Ekaterina quickly go up the stairs and enter his office, after rifling through a few papers he finds the ones he's looking for. The ones detailing the fraud of Yangshang Teahouse’s owner. Pulling out another copy of the paper he hands them to Ekaterina.
“Give one to the printing press, ensure they have it printed by morning. Give the other one to the Millelith. It's vital that nobody knows it was the Fatui who leaked this information so please be discrete”
“Yes Sir”
“Perfect, Dismissed”
Without another word Ekaterina left the office. Childe pulled out the Sigil of Permission, the golden talisman emitting a soft golden glow. Now that he had finally gotten his hands on a real one the Fatui research division under him should make exponentially more progress. Enough to hopefully summon Osial before the Rite, his mission had a time limit after all.
Placing it back in its box went to find an underling to transport it safely to the facility, it would be far too suspicious for him to leave the city, as the old saying goes In Liyue even the walls have ears. After a few minutes of looking he found an inconspicuous ground soldier to get the package to the factory as fast as possible.
With his work done for the night he walked the short distance across the raised walkways to his apartment. He opened the door and walked inside, instinctively checking to see if anyone was there. He caught sight of a figure curled up on the couch, book open. Within an instant he drew the dagger that lay strapped to his thigh. He stalked further into the apartment.
“I thought we agreed not to kill me?” The voice rang out, you snapped your book shut and gave him a lazy smirk.
“Can’t be too cautious” he retorted, re-sheathing his dagger. “I thought you would be asleep by now”
You sighed and rested a hand on your chin “I couldn’t sleep, I don't know where you went off to and considering your supposed track record I couldn’t risk it” Childe sits down next to you, long legs perching on the table in front of the couch.
“Aw, so you care about me? It’s not like anyone I killed tonight had a chance against me anyways” He said nonchalantly. He didn't miss your eyebrows furrow for a second.
“Just doing my job Harbinger” you tucked a strand of hair behind you ear “You still haven’t told me where you went”
“Just some debt collection, nothing for you to worry about” He leaned back against the couch, and you leaned in over him a little, placing a hand on the couch behind him to support yourself. You looked suspiciously at him.
“I thought you said that was just a cover for what you were actually doing”
He titled his head up to meet your gaze “Ask the staff at Northland if you wish, If I was scheming I would be out far later wouldn’t I?”
“You’re a terrible liar you know that” you flicked his earring, he recoiled at that and gave you a sharp glare.
“People would say otherwise Y/N, but maybe my мама might be able to still tell ” He laughed, recalling his mothers smile, how her hugs seemed to fix everything.
“Мама?” You question, accent slightly butchering the foreign word.
“ Мама” he annunciates it better this time “ Mutter, Mother” he repeated in Mondstadtan and Common Tongue.
He sees something flicker in your eyes, what looks like sadness. It was gone when you looked at him again.
“You’re not going to tell me what you were actually doing were you?” You huff. Childe picks up a strand of your hair and plays with it, twisting it between his fingers admiring the way the yellow lamplight glows off of it.
“Like I said debt collection, they had something I needed”
“The Sigil of Permission?” you breathe
“Perhaps” he smirks, dropping the strand of hair “You would make a good spy you know”
“And I already told you I’m not. Maybe in another life, If I was born a man and given to The Knights, or maybe if I was born in Snezhnaya and been conscripted to the Fatui”
“You would be a useful tool to the Tsaritsa”
“What makes you think I would serve her?”
“Because you have ambition Y/N, don't let them rot at your feet”
“I think I just proved that I’m more than willing to do whatever I can to reach my goal Tartaglia” You draw closer to him, almost nose to nose. Your breath ghosted his face
“You said it yourself, you have further to go” his hand grasped your waist, the silk fabric of your nightdress bunching.
“I also recall saying I wanted my freedom, I don't want to serve any god, no matter how glorious you say they might be”
Childe had to bite his tongue to keep himself from saying what he truly wanted to say. That he would bring the heavens down for the Tsaritsa. That her plan was to let man rule over Teyvat for themselves.
He leans into whisper in your ear “Don’t let another Fatuus hear you say that, you might get yourself killed” A hand moves up your thigh to skim the rapidly healing wound
“And I thought you agreed to protect me, don't want to break a contract under Morax’s watchful eye do you?” your voice was barely above a whisper, hand grasping onto his shoulder. He draws a gloved finger across your jawline.
“Goodnight Y/N”
With that he stands and heads to his room without a second thought, leaving you to fall back onto the couch.
Liyue was much harder to navigate than Mondstadt, you thought to yourself as you strolled across the intersecting walkways flanked by well kept ponds. Green lily pads floated upon the clear water’s surface, so clear you could easily see the koi slowly swimming below.
Looking up the honestly ridiculous amount of stairs to see Bubu Pharmacy at the top. You began your ascent. The cold morning air got worse as you got higher. Finally cresting the top you made your way to the counter at the front of the pharmacy. You took a moment to take in the sheer luxury of the place, endless draws edged with gold and heavy green curtains pulled back. The strong smell of incense permeated the place.
Looking around for someone you wondered if the pharmacy was closed. That was when you heard a quiet monotone voice from behind the counter.
“How can I help you today” You whipped around and peered over the counter. There stood a small girl barely peeking over the edge. A large talisman was attached to the hat perched atop of her lilac hair. She looked up at you, there was no emotion in those large magenta eyes.
“I’m here about the apprenticeship to study under Dr. Baizhu”
“…One moment please. Qiqi will get Dr. Baizhu” The girl ambled off into one of the back rooms of the pharmacy. A moment later she returned with a tall man, a white snake wrapped around his neck.
“Thank you Qiqi” He said to the girl, she merely nodded and returned to the counter and pulled out a battered notebook. Baizhu turns to you, you could have sworn you saw the snake giving you a once-over.
“And you would be here for the apprenticeship?” He questioned, long green hair swaying with the moment of his head.
“Yes, I’m Y/N of Mondstadt, I was trained as a healer using my Hydro Vision. I’m very well versed in anything in the realm of physical trauma”
“Interesting” You started a bit as a feminine voice came from the snake. “What? Are you truly surprised I can talk? Teyvat has stranger things wandering around”
“M-my apologies, I was not expecting it” You let out a small laugh trying to ease the nervousness.
“Now, Changsheng” Baizhu scolded her in a light tone. “I’m interested to hear why you would be applying for this apprenticeship in Liyue”
“I believe I have a lot to learn from Liyuean healing techniques, especially herbalism and spiritualism. Monstadt focuses more on the physical aspects of the patient and tends to disregard the spiritual and emotional aspects of healing”
“How long have you been a healer?” Changsheng hisses
“Five years, I started my training when I was fourteen”
“And you were trained by The Church?”
“Not quite, I was born in Springvale, a small village in the woods. I was trained by some of The Sisters but I was never formally a part of The Church” You hoped they wouldn’t question the lie, wouldn’t press further into your past.
“A healer with a Hydro Vision could be very advantageous for us, they can heal physical wounds a lot faster than our current treatments” Changsheng said to Baizhu, cocking her head.
“A good point Changsheng” He looks to you “Come, show me your skills and then I’ll decide on this apprenticeship”
He leads you up the set of stairs around the back to a cosy infirmary, sunlight pouring in through the open windows, vases full of various plants were spotted around the room.
“First, how would you heal a cut?”
“I would first ask if the patient needed any milk of the poppy. I would clean the wound with water and then fire water. Appy my Hydro Vision to partially heal the wound by easing the inflammation and speeding up the process a bit. I would apply an appropriate herbal salve and then wrap the wound” You said, listing off the steps on your fingers.
He gives you a short nod and pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose. “Very well”
He walks up to a woman lying in bed. Instantly you notice a few small cuts on her arm, as if she had been caught in a particularly nasty thorn bush. Medical supplies already laid out on a small cart next to the bed.
“Miss Su Lin” Baizhu approached the patient, an elderly woman with grey hair, a few black strands remaining.
“I have a Healer from Mondstadt here, would you be alright if she attended to the cut on your arm”
Su Lin, looked at you standing a little behind Baizhu. You give her a smile. “Alright, so long as you stay with her”
You sat on the small stool next to her bed.
“Miss Su Lin, would it be alright if I looked at the cuts on your arm?” Su Lin raised her arm and placed it in your grasp, you gave them a look. You fell easily into the routine.
“How did you these may I ask?”
“Tried to feed the stray cat outside my house. She laughed, didn't appreciate me petting it.” You laughed a little at that
“Not at all by the looks of it, would you like any pain relief?” you ask
“I’ll be alright” she replied
With that you get to work cleaning the wound, satisfied you removed your gloves and dipped your hands in the steaming bowl of water and herbs on the cart to clean your hands.
“I don’t have enough power or skill to fully heal the wound using my Vision alone, but I can partially heal it” You explain to her. She gives you a nod, the go ahead.
You pressed your fingers on Su Lin’s skin and drew power from your vision. A faint glow comes from your hands, you see the redness going down and the wound gets smaller before your eyes. You removed your hands the moment you felt dizzy and took a deep breath in. Taking a second you don your leather gloves again and finish taking care of the wound.
Su Lin gives Baizhu a look and thanks you. You stand and clasp your hands in front of you.
“Please give us a moment” Baizhu guestres towards the door, you politely step out and close the door behind you. Muffled voices came from behind the dark wood. You pressed your ear to the door
“She has potential, but she needs more training with tapping into her elemental mastery” a voice that sounded like Changsheng said
“I concur, out of everyone that has trialed here she had done the best '' Su Lin said, you frowned. Was Su Lin a test patient? How did she get the cuts on her arms then?
“Although it seems she's not very well versed on Liyean customs and manners, perhaps it would benefit to teach her those” Su Lin continued
There was silence for a moment
“I believe the Mondstadt training was a good foundation but she really could learn from Liyuean technique” another pause “And it saves me from having to teach the basics” Baizhu hummed
“Then it's agreed” Changsheng hissed
“Very well”
You stood back from the door the moment you heard him approach.
“Y/N, I would be delighted to take you on as my apprentice here at Bubu Pharmacy”
You stepped back a little in shock, you hadn’t expected to actually get the apprenticeship. You bought a hand to your chest “T-Thank you Dr. Baizhu” you breathed out
“Return here tomorrow morning, we will discuss your contract and pay then. Until then have a lovely day”
“You too Dr. Baizhu” you look at the snake draped around his neck, tongue flicking out “And you Changsheng” You give her a nod. With that you leave Bubu Pharmacy and make your way down the stairs. There were significantly more people gathered around the store compared to when you got there, this time Qiqi was standing on a small step ladder so she was able to see over the counter.
You felt elated, luck was in your favour it seemed, now you just had to work with the Harbinger until he finished his mission. On your way down the stairs you heard people muttering about something called ‘The Rite of Descension’ wondering what predictions Rex Lapis would bring this year. You made a mental note to question Childe about that later. You had a lot to learn about Liyue it seemed.
The copy of ‘Teyvat Travel Guide II’ laid abandoned on the bookshelf after your conversation with Childe last night. You still couldn’t grasp how he joked about murdering a man so easily. Being around him was certainly interesting to say the least. The way he so casually touched you, the way he let you tease him. You didn’t know what you felt about him.
You tilted your face up to the sun, feeling its warmth in the height of summer. You decided to enjoy the rest of your day and deal with Childe and his scheming later. For now you had a new city to learn.
You wandered around the streets, enjoying the pure liveliness of the atmosphere. Even with the Milleleth stationed around you felt at ease, your every move wasn't being watched. A sense of paranoia still clung to you, every few minutes you would instinctively look around as subtly as you could.
Out of the corner of your eye you could have sworn you saw a flash of silver, you turned towards the alleyway and saw nothing. You dismissed it as nothing and continued on your way, content to blend in with the crowd of Liyue Harbour.

Note
"Thank you, yet again. I hope you have a nice day, Sir." She smiled again and began to walk in the direction she had been going in before her conversation with Capitano.
"I understand. Still, thank you for the offer to help me, but I have my own route that I plan to follow."
