“Behave, Mikey.” Draken shook his head, reaching to shake Yuna’s hand, and walking back to the kitchen with me, handing me the watermelon he brought with him.

We cut it together and moved the pizzas to the coffee table while Mikey and Mitsuya were trying to be normal around Yuna. Chifuyu seemed to be fending off Mikey’s overbearing closeness pretty well so Draken and I could bring all the drinks and cups to the gathering spot. 

I sat next to Yuna, sharing the couch with Chifuyu, while Draken was spread out on the other one, Mikey sitting on the floor with Mitsuya. I had plugged my phone into the big speaker under the TV and played some music as background noise to our conversations.

Yuna seemed to be enjoying the company, often being asked about her studies and hobbies. When she wasn’t talking I could hear her humming along to the music and tapping her fingers on my leg in the rhythm of whatever was on. I passed her some pizza and fruit to eat, which she accepted with a massive smile on her face.

Mikey ended up falling asleep curled up on the floor while Chifuyu was arguing with Draken about who bought pizza the last time we had a gathering like this one.

This was SO hard to choose because I can talk about Sam all day. Narrowing it down to six moments? Impossible! So top 3 Sam TFATWS scenes and top 3 underrated scenes!

1. Sam’s opening fight scene acting as a pararescue. I loved this scene. I remember ppl complained it was too long and that it could have been used to develop Sam’s backstory but I loved it because I thought it was a cool action sequence for Sam and it tells you a lot about Sam’s fighting style, strategy, and skill set. Sam was sent SOLO against a number of high lvl assailants- literally SHIELD sent a whole strike team with Nat and Steve on it after Batroc in CA:TWS. It tells you how respected Sam’s skill set is by the Air Force itself. There’s a reason Joaquin is set to fanboy. Sam is such a show off and he loves flying.

2. Seeing Sam in the Cap America suit for the first time. I screamed at my TV.

3. It’s so hard to choose just three ugh I love him. I’m going to go with Sam stopping an entire helicopter with his wings. JFC this man is fearless. That suit was completely untested!!!

Top 3 underrated Sam moments in TFATWS:

1. Sam wiping the blood from the shield is one of the most heartbreaking moments. This was absolutely not Sam’s fault but you can see the responsibility he feels. It’s why Bucky later telling Sam it wasn’t his fault is so needed. The symbolism of Sam being the one to wipe the blood from the Stars and Stripes says so much. It’s the culmination of 500 years of history and Sam’s role as a cycle breaker. Sam as the hope for change but the weight that places upon him. The hero rarely asks for the burdens they face but this is so much more. You can’t separate Sam the individual hero from Sam the descendant of people held in bondage. Sam’s legacy is not just carrying on the shield, he is the dream that carried his ancestors through unimaginable hardship. For Sam to take the shield is to reconcile that history with his future.

2. Sam’s pain at seeing Walker named the new Cap. His expression holds an ocean. You can see him flashing through a million thoughts. You can see him questioning his own decision. You can see him resigned to another betrayal and the thought that he should have seen it coming because of course, of course. You can feel his grief. It’s just such a powerful moment and AM crushed it.

3. oh boy it’s hard to choose just 3! I wanted to choose a light hearted one bc Sam has a goofy, playful side. I always love his little smile while he’s fucking with Bucky. He looks so pleased with himself. He likes this noodle despite himself.

favorite color: this is a hard question tbh. I tend to care more about color combos than individual colors. I really these colors, they tickle a part of my brain in a good way.

if we're talking wardrobe, I wear a lot of black, gray, and blue. favorite color combo is probably what I have for my mobile theme: black, light green, and blue. I do not really know the color names lol.

currently reading: nothing 😔 I've started a few books in the last year and I haven't continued or finished them lol. it's been too hard for me to focus, to sit still and do nothing except read.

what I'm working on: I guess I have a writing project that's been a WIP for years but I haven't actively worked on it in a while. I am also working on. being alive? idk. it's not easy lol. oh also trying to raise my puppy noodle

currently obsessed: I wish my brain could stop thinking about rhys darby but it cannot. ofmd too. it's unfortunate because I feel the hyperfixation slowing down and I HATE IT but I'll be stuck here forever regardless. it's implanted itself in my brain permanently lol. good omens is about to sink it's claws back into me too I can feel it
