I just reread your ace attorney fantasy au again and I am soooo <3<3<3 the worldbuilding is so good and lively, everything is very in line with canon but still different and new and interesting, and Phoenix!! His personality is SO well written, he's snarky and stubborn and determined and I LOVE your characterisation of him!! I know there's only two parts but each one ends and it immediately makes me want to read more because I'm so excited to see what you did with the world and what the characters will do,,, and also the nrmts <3 so <3<3<3 I love how Edgeworth is characterised too ofc, and mia and lana and maya.... <3!!! Also hope ur new job is going well <3

And I'm glad to see someone else enjoying the fantasy au - it's very much an indulgent series of mine and an excuse to write some worldbuilding and big plotlines seeing as I don't play/run as many ttrpgs as I used to.

Anyway have some worldbuilding bits from this au that i've only hinted at/haven't had a chance to explore yet:

Being a magic user turns your hair silver, which is why Edgeworth and Franziska look like they do. Maya also has some greys but doesn't use her magic as much. Mia dyes hers back to brown so that it's easier to blend in.

Mia is definitely running a spy network, but she mostly tries to keep Phoenix and Maya out of it, with varying levels of success.

Phoenix's first fiddle was the one that used to belong to Gregory Edgeworth. Eventually it broke (it wasn't very good quality) and he buried it and sat a vigil as a sign of respect.

Phoenix somehow has even less self preservation in this universe, because he knows he can shrug off most injuries. He's not sure if he sees the geas as a blessing or a curse, but he will take advantage of it.

I definitely do have plans to expand this universe, so keep an eye out for those. Right now I'm just too busy to write anything much (my new job is great but really tiring), but hopefully in the next few months things will calm down again and we will get to the next installment - meeting Trucy, the most precocious magical princess in all the land.

Quick side note: I ran a poll a couple weeks ago and was so surprised(and delighted) by the interest in Daydreams and Dandelions!

This is a story I actually have fully plotted… I just need to write it 👀

There is a bit of external conflict in chapter 3 and I’ve been avoiding it trying to work through it in my head.

My favorite silly little moment from chapter 3 below the cut:

There’s a bit where Gale tries to make Katniss jealous by telling her that he and Madge hooked up. He goes on to try and justify it by saying they were both using each other because they couldn’t be with who they really wanted: Gale alluding to his suspicion that Madge has a crush on Katniss (similar to how he thought Finnick was interested in Katniss in MJ)… but she misinterprets his meaning and thinks Madge wants to be with Peeta… in the end Gale gets the jealous reaction he was looking for, just aimed in the wrong direction.

Well now, this is a lucky one. Cyno had some reservations over allowing Magical Anons in here, and instead look at that. Clearly, a fairy out there is really worried about his well-being.

"I think I'll keep this one." He says with a pleased hum. "Should I get a new haircut to match, however?"

what's funny is for so long i defo thought people picked out the same things to kind of focus on in a photo because... we're looking at the same person doing the same thing etc you know? but over the last ten years i've defo learned that not everyone pays attention to like... their socks. lmaoooo which, ya know. fair. sometimes i don't even know why i've focused on their socks or whatever in the photos, but it just happens. lol so i'm glad that i'm not only amusing myself and hopefully making it easy to find specific photos i might need to find in the future, but i'm keeping others entertained as well haha!

OOOOOOO interesting question indeed, I've played quite a few of the more modern pokemon games, so lets see what I can come up with

Stan would almost definitely have a Torracat. He's a loyal type of guy who would keep his first starter pokemon and build an unbreakable bond with it. Torracat is also a cat that's pretty much a dog, and pretty much as essentially fiery as you can get. Just like Stan <3

Declan would think long and hard about what pokemon he could get that would complement him in his job as a bounty hunter while also being a good companion, not something that's exactly like him, so I think Skarmory would be a really good fit for him.

Vaughn would also want a pokemon to complement him , something very powerful that would be able to protect both him and itself, and for it to be a psychic type due to his special interest in psychology, emotions, and pain. I think he would love having a Guardevoir. Would a Guardevoir like him, though? Uhhh... Next question

Lana would want something pretty and exceptionally powerful, just like her. Ninetails would ultimately win out because of its importance in folklore, she can walk around with it, dress it up, and its also big and elegant, so great for intimidation.

Sorry but I can't stop thinking about toxic! Megumi, I have to ask, does the reader decide to go after Yuuji just for being petty or was Yuuji always waiting for the right moment to jump on her?

Also did Megumi always knew that it was Yuuji who had been with her? Or he just had a feeling and needed to hear it from one of them? Did the dynamics of Megumi and Yuuji change after that? I ask because one of my favorite parts is when Megumi tells the reader that he can smell Yuuji on her, I think it's very hot and adds a lot of tension to the moment.

Honestly for the first part I think it was probably a bit of both. I think Yuuji probably had feelings in some way shape or form for the reader because he's always hanging around her and Megumi and they spend a lot of time together. And I also think Yuuji in this situation would have a broken hero complex, he knows Megumi treats her horribly and Yuuji also knows that he would treat her better so kind of wants to save her from that relationship. But he also knows Megumi is his best friend and he'd never want to betray him like that. When the reader has approached him after being upset because of Megumi's cheating though I can imagine it wasn't too hard for her to seduce him. He'd definitely feel terrible but he can only possess so much willpower, and when given the opportunity on a silver platter he couldn't refuse.

And ultimately, unlike Megumi, Yuuji is a really good guy. He's sweet, honest and so so kind. So I think he would have tried to avoid Megumi after he slept with the reader out of guilt, but he couldn't make excuses for long enough. And then Megumi knows how to read human expression better than anyone. He'd instantly pick up on his weirdness and how uncomfortable Yuuji is around him and he wouldn't drop the subject until Yuuji confessed. And Yuuji would admit it out of guilt because he knows it's the right thing to do. I think Megumi would be surprised and furious but he's sensible enough to know that the reader fucks other people for revenge when he cheats so of course she ended up falling into Yuuji's arms. And Megumi is just an insecure loser anyway so I think he's paranoid about every guy wanting to fuck or steal his girlfriend. But he'd use Yuuji's guilt against him and tell him not to say anything until he decides what to do, and of course we know he uses it against the reader in the fic!

I feel like there’s a certain subset that’s gonna hate Lestat no matter what. Tbh, I understand cause of episode 5 onward. The show has really put Lestat’s character to the test with all that. 😬 But I look at Lestat and Louis as a set. You can’t have one without the other. Lestat is my baby. No question lol. But it’s because I relate to him so much. His backstory and the reasons behind his unhinged behavior are so heartbreaking. I just understand him and feel so much for him because, like, I get it. I’ve been there. Having said that, my love for Lestat has zero impact on my love for Louis. Like I said, they are a set and I adore them both. Hopefully the audiences can see that nuance with Lestat and I think for the most part, they are since lots of outlets are putting Lestat/Sam on their “best of” lists for 2022.

Hey nonny! Probably, yes. Which is... their loss, I guess. I don't want to come across snide here, just *shrugs* But in regards to episode 5 etc: I think, even without visual backpedaling... the arcs of season 2 will twist the narrative quite a lot. The season was split in half we know that. The way they planned it originally we would have had the whole book by now. I don't think that can be dismissed in analysis tbh. And... the yearning for Lestat, and the realization that... some of what made them hate him might have been the wrong reasons... and the additional modern day backstory... that's ALL still coming up. Armand said it, and I (personally) believe it was (also) meant for the audience:

"You've only heard half the story. When you hear it, you'll be ashamed, ashamed of what you say to him now."

We're only at the beginning. Readers were supposed to hate Lestat in the first book, too. And then... But yes. I too am glad to see them on those lists. Because Sam, Jacob, Bailey, Assad and Eric rocked this thing right out the window. 😈

THAT ASK! if i had to choose literally 1 product (im gonna choose 2) it would be the CLIO kill lash superproof mascara! the long curling one ! to date, its the only mascara that holds the curl perfectly. it’s also not that hard to wash off if you double cleanse! the second is the nars soft matte complete concealer !! i was kind of bummed when i first saw it because it was so small. however. however. it has lasted me SO LONG. bc it’s one of those pot ones !! they last literally fooorever and the consistency is super easy to blend // it looks super nice !!!
