Scrotus headcanons incoming under the cut!

(A lot of these were already posted and discussed in the Mad Max server, but @kamakrazeeee inspired me to flesh them out and add some more that’d been rattling around in my brain, so now you all get to see them too)

• He’s the middle child, born not long after Corpus, and only two or so years prior to Rictus. Definitely feels like he suffers from Middle Child Syndrome™️ and tries to make up for it with his ruthlessness and desire to prove himself as just as capable as his father.

• Has a love-hate relationship with Rictus, usually bordering on hate. He sees him as an incompetent obstacle, too often bumbling things up in a way that gets under Scrotus’ skin, and that alongside his constant childish disobedience of their father, and the things Scrotus knows he gets up to in the Vault when he thinks no one is looking, but refuses to outwardly acknowledge, drive him up a wall and thin his barely there patience to NOTHING. But despite how often he messes with him, he is the *only* one allowed to. Anyone else messes with his little brother, and he’ll have them dangling from a crane by dinner.

• He gets along much better with Corpus, and they often join together to help brainstorm tactical and political solutions to problems that arise in their father’s empire. He also vents to Corpus over any perceived grief, often. Corpus is the only one that will listen. Mostly because he usually doesn’t have a choice (He’ll roll his eyes when Scrotus isn’t paying attention, though.)

• Very fidgety, always moving or pacing or cracking his knuckles. He’s too full of energy at all times and has trouble staying still.

• WILL bite.

• He is THE daddiest boy, but is not afraid to go up against his father if he feels the path he’s chosen is the wrong one, which is often, and made worse by the feeling that Joe never seems to take his suggestions seriously.

• Violence is always the solution. Do not try to negotiate. He’ll just cut your arms off and do what he wants anyway.

• He suffers from severe, chronic eczema, which is constantly covering him in itchy, splotchy rashes and scabs- he only makes it worse by refusing to heed the Organic Mechanic’s advice and scratches at it like a dog with fleas until it bleeds, marking him all over with scars.

• He’s moved out of the Citadel and tasked with leading Gastown once Dementus is killed at the end of the 40 Day War, and does so for several hundred days until he himself is killed in a battle with an unknown road warrior. The position is then taken up by The People Eater to fill the power vacuum he had left

• Much (though definitely not all. Look at him. This man is a diva) of his bravado is posturing to make up for how unworthy he feels, how the fear of being a failure seeps into his bloodstream, knowing that he was born and conceived for one purpose and one purpose only, only to have his father deem him unfit and rip his fate from his grasp. That, alongside his father’s cold shoulder and constant brushing off of him, has led to deep set wounds and trauma that he strives to convince others- and most especially himself- aren’t actually there. This has greatly affected his self image, and makes him all the more desperate to please his father despite knowing he can’t

• He hates feeling in the dark about things, or not knowing what’s going on, which makes him VERY nosy. He always tries to get as much information or be as involved in things as he can, and often uses it as leverage however he sees fit

• He’s perpetually angry. For one reason or another rage is ALWAYS simmering under his skin, has been since he was born. That, and his affinity for sudden and brutal acts of violence, make for a bad combination

• Scrotus was around 24 when Furiosa was first brought to the Citadel, which puts him at around 39 during the 40 Day War and 42 during the events of Fury Road (had he lived that long)

• He’s often found doing menial tasks around the Citadel, usually of his own dictation, save for the times when Joe himself asks for Scrotus to lead the charge on a project personally (Like the War Rig in Furiosa, something big and important enough for one of the Immorta to watch over, but not urgent enough for The Immortan himself.). Half of it is out of a desire to show himself worthy to his father even in the smaller ways, that he can lead and direct the Citadel and its citizens just as Joe does. The rest is just to give himself things to do in the downtimes, when his blood runs too hot for him to sit still and do nothing.

•Corpus, Scrotus and Rictus were all born of the same woman- the first of Joe’s eventual harem of breeders, and the originator of the ‘Three strikes, you’re out’ rule, having birthed three sons that were all deemed at one time or another unsatisfactory to carry on Joe’s legacy. None of them ever got to know her- they were all plucked out of the vault as soon after birth as would have been healthily allowed and handed to Joe himself. I imagine for the first few years of his life, Scrotus appeared outwardly as close to a full life as one could imagine. He had rashes and patches of flaky skin here and there, but his skin disease didn’t start truly showing up until he made it to his pre-teens and hit puberty, and it didn’t get bad enough to require his fish skin tunic or reach the severity that we see in furiosa until his late teens, and only gets worse from then on. Otherwise, he’d been a perfect specimen, and for the first decade or so of his life Joe had a very personal hand in raising him up in his image to be the next Immortan, molding the red hot flame that burned bright inside into something that could hopefully sustain the Citadel long after he himself was gone. But the older Scrotus got, the more his ‘deficiencies’ were brought to light- Joe sees them, both physical and mental, as a projection of all of his own impurities, on top of the disappointment of something having been so promising, years of work and teaching, now reduced to nothing. And once he deems Scrotus too unstable and imperfect for his vision, he casts him down from the pedestal of Immortan and passes him off instead to Miss Giddy for the rest of his teen years to continue his basic teachings, and to the Imperators to help him hone the supercharged emotion that swirls within him into something violent and brutal. A perfect warrior, since he’s proved himself to be less than a perfect son. Scrotus spends the rest of his life in one way or another trying to win back the assurity in him his father had once shown.

•He’s been extremely skilled in fighting from a young age, and used to make it a game as he grew to see how many Imperators he could beat and slaughter during training sessions to prove his prowess. The answer is WAAAAY too many.

•He’s a lot smarter than most people take him for, and very well learned and well read thanks to Miss Giddy. Unfortunately, his anger and impulsivity is quick to cloud his rational judgment, especially when he’s lost in an inner storm of heightened emotion, which gets him making reckless split second decisions and leading him more often than not to want to charge headfirst at an enemy than think through a solid plan. It also seeps in a lot into his actual fighting style- as skilled and gifted in the art of war as he is, he too easily loses himself to his emotions and drops his learned attacks for something much more feral and animalistic, which serves him well against those lesser trained, but causes problems for him if he loses his head going up against an opponent that’s just as skilled as he is. It’s what causes his downfall in the end.

•He collects a tooth from each of his slain enemies and uses them to decorate the interior of the Cranky Black.

Alastor x Ballerina fem!Reader

yes this ones back, I reread part two and was surprised that I was the one that wrote that so she's getting an upload (also might post more cus I'm getting inspo)

Warnings; Use of y/n, swearing, Alastor is his own warning, bullying?.

After about a month you'd gotten quite used to the hotel and it's people. Angel had properly introduced you to all the residences.

Husk had started to dislike you less as you slowly let your overlord performance down. He found he liked you better then any overlord he'd ever met, even when you made a sadistic joke.

Nifty enjoyed how clean and graceful you were, and that you'd always complimented her killing skills which made the small demon beam.

Vaggie and you had a shared dislike for Alastor. You'd made a small bond over said thing.

Speaking of Alastor, he apparently liked testing just how aware of your surroundings you were. At first it was him trying to sneak up on you, then it was him 'accidentally' chucking things at you when you were distracted. You would of course catch said thing with your hand or a hover spell.

He would also poke fun at your newly found overlord status. Things that hinted at you being a weaker overlord.

"Do tell me dear! what is your main medium of power?"

"Well, I don't exactly have a medi-"

"I don't think you have any territory either do you?"

"Actu-"

"Thank goodness you're here now! Who knows what could have happened if you'd been left on the streets!"

During this conversation Husk had to pull you away so you didn't murder him on the spot.

Carmilla was holding an overlord meeting today, and of course you and Alastor had to be attending.

(Yes ik the overlord meeting was supposed to be for 'controlling' or most powerful overlords but lets forget about that)

The walk there had been utterly hilarious, the egg boys constantly bugging Alastor, You could see the irritation on his face as the eggs kept pestering him.

"Hark, Y/n and Alastor. How fare thee this day?" Zestial smiled at his fellow overlords.

(I don't know the full Zestial and Al dialogue so imma just skip it a bit.)

"There hath been rumor of thy involvement with the princess and her recent flight of fancy."

"Didn't think you were one to believe in rumors Zestial." You smirked, eyes narrowed.

"Please Do tell, How does thou fall in such folly?"

You went to speak but was cut off by Alastor.

"That is for us to know, but please do guess! I'd love to know the theories."

You kept rolled your eyes but copied his movements to continue walking.

"It would be a grand folly by far to assume the workings of your mind, Alastor." He paused "Or even Dear Y/n."

Your grin widened, "You flatter me Zestial, though don't know if I love being held in the same account as The Radio Demon." You smirked

Alastor turned his head towards you, his composer being chipped at. "Pardon?"

Zestial chuckled, "Thou is not wrong Alastor, Thou Hath not but an enigma since they manifested in this realm."

Alastor's smile perked up again, "Coming from someone as ancient as you, I'll take it as a compliment."

You three walked into the elevators that lead up to the meeting room.

(I don't wanna write a whole play by play of the episode so imma write my own thing)

Rosie greeted you kindly, but was quickly deterred away by Alastor. "Oh my Satan! Alastor! How've ya been? Oh I've missed you, old friend." She smiled, showing her sharp teeth.

"I've been well Rosie." He smiled back, liking the attention.

Rosie smiled brightly before turning to you. "And of course you've met! Y/n, you always reminded me of Al." She draped an arm over your shoulders and squeezed lovingly.

The smile that you'd been wearing now tightened. "Please Rosie! Don't insult me!" You laughed, patting her arm.

Alastor glared at you, his own smile turning snarl-like. You quite liked having him under your foot, you should come with him to Rosie's sometime. Have some real fun.

As you walked in your smile turned to a neutral or relaxed constant. As Alastor recounted his return to his fellow overlords, which Carmilla skated right over made you wheeze in laughter to yourself.

(Respect less and that whole thing, I don't really wanna write that but if anyone would like me to write Y/n and Alastors internal thoughts during this scene comment it!)

"Argh, Velvette has no self control. None of the Vees do." You fixed your outfit as you walked back towards the elevator.

You had really been talking to Rosie, but Alastor had taken the liberty to answered you.

"I agree, these," he paused thinking, "overly extravagant Overlords wish to gain more control and respect then is due." His smile was strained as he thought of the flat-faced bastard, the childish Doll demon, and that disgusting Moth.

You raised a brow at him. He'd never agreed with you on anything, why now?

You decided not to question it too much as you answered.

"That asshole, Vox, He's the only reason I'm not as powerful as I should be." Your wings fluttered angrily on your back.

Alastors smile closed to a small grin. "Do tell! What exactly did that Bastard do?"

As you began retelling how Vox had offered you a job as Val choreographer, then as a dancer social media star, all of which you'd cast aside,

Rosie was watching as her two very good friends were bonding over their shared hatred for the excitable Vees.

She knew that maybe, just maybe, her oldest friend would finally find someone.

Yes, yess, shame on me for taking forever to update but here part 3. yes this will be a slow burn, no you and Al aren't friends now just- acquaintances. (also sorry its short)

sorry for being so random, but i rly wanted to say it: i love how much u incorporate textures into your art?? esp the fact u use different textures depending on the area!! they already make the colored lineart pop out n its so fascinating to look at :o its honest inspo at this point (plus how positive kind u are in general!!)

If you ever want to play around with textures like I do, I actually use a specific pack from an app for a lot of them! Every piece of art I have posted so far has been created in ibisPaintX from my phone since I don't have a reliable computer, and I honestly can't recommend it enough! So on first impressions – the aesthetic is good. Personally I’m not a big fan of container themes, especially such small ones, for rpgs, but that’s irrelevant because it doesn’t take anything away from potential members so there’s nothing critical about it! The background image and the muted colouring match really well with the rest of the group and I like the overall theme it presents; giving me the impression that maybe there’s a dark secret lurking between this group of people? The concept idea itself: very nice!! I like it a lot, haven’t seen anything like it in my perusing the tags. I like the small-group / limited-membership concept a lot and it definitely works well for a setting like this. One more thing: I don’t know if you can change the title font on the sidebar, but I definitely thought that “2013” was a “2017” until I remembered the title of your rpg.

One thing: your ask page might be a bit off? You might have to take the F.A.Q. off of it because I can’t scroll down enough to get to the “send” part on the askbox. Picture included below:

Your plot is excellently written; to-the-point and concise, and still leaves me wondering about the skeletons and the characters within the group outside of what I’m given in the plot page. I also think what you put after, the “About the RP” section, is smart and nifty for a group like this, rather than having a separate page about it. (After all, people are already on your plot page aren’t they?) My one recommendation: you put “this group aims to be a small, inclusive, tight-knit community[…]” I would suggest you remove the “tight-knit” part. The point is made already, plus something about the word choice feels slightly exclusionary in my opinion? People will find out how tight-knit of a community you will become when they join. Simply a word choice recommendation.

Your rules are standard for an rpg of this size and type so there isn’t much to say, but might I suggest adding a banned fc list and tagged triggers list somewhere? Maybe not on your rules page but if you make an extended &/or mobile nav that could help. The reason I say the tagged triggers list is because under your “Characters” section in the rules, I was a little uneasy by the phrasing of your warning for potentially triggering subjects regarding transphobia. I also want to include this for the record: please be open to potential applicants wanting to gloss over that facet of the character or any other characters. While I applaud your endeavour for realism, for trans people like myself and others rp is their escape from that sort of topic.
