-> An Iwaizumi Hajime fan fiction inspired by Ben&Ben's song.

• Pagtingin is a song included in Ben&Ben's 'Limasawa Street' Album that according to Direct Jorel Lising, "[The song] is about the feelings of frustration and anxiety we feel when we're really into someone, especially when we're young, know very little about ourselves & others, and we're too shy to go for it.". The main theme of the story is about the singer's POV of unrequited feelings.

-> warning. highschool aoba josai setup and the application of the Japanese culture of asking a highschool graduate's uniform buttons.

The buttons in a person's uniform can mean different things: The first button represents oneself, the second represents one's most beloved person, the third one represents best friend so on and so forth. Therefore, giving your crush the second button conveys the message that you think of them as the most precious person to you.

a/n. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GOOD FEEDBACK WITH KITA'S STORY 😭 honestly, I feel so fulfilled because these are actual stories that I've always wanted to write and I finally found a good excuse to write them (the one and only, Ben&Ben ofc <333)

I feel like the tone in Kita's story was very melancholic, calming, and content so I wanted to change the mood in Iwaizumi's by making it very youthful and hmmmm, playful? Yeah. :D

Matsukawa and Hanamaki laughed as they watch Oikawa whine about how the buttons of his uniforms disappeared in a flash after the graduation ceremony ended, emphasizing that he wanted to keep those for his friends.

Iwaizumi couldn't ride along with his friends' laughter, as his mind was preoccupied with something else. As if circumstances wanted to trouble Iwaizumi more, he sees you at the exit of the building.

"Y/N-chan!" Oikawa dramatically called your name as he ran towards you. You were too slow to dodge his incoming attack, the reason why you are now squeezed between Oikawa's toned arms.

"Tōhru, stop it!" You complained as you try to break free from him but he was stronger.

"Y/N-chan, I lost all my buttons!" Oikawa whined louder as he practically lift you off the ground now.

"Oi, cut it. You're embarrassing us," Hanamaki intervened as he pulled Oikawa's uniform.

"What's his deal?" You muttered as you stretched your arms.

"The juniors took all of his buttons," Matsukawa explained as he chuckled looking at Oikawa's jacket, now missing all of its buttons, "It's because you're too popular with the girls, dumbass," he teased.

"That's not fair, I wanted to give them to you four," Oikawa said which made Hanamaki and Matsukawa disgusted. In the end, they proceeded to walking, teasing Oikawa along.

Leaving Iwaizumi alone with you.

The remnants of your smile from Mattsun's words dissolve now that you see Iwaizumi in front of you.

"You lost all your buttons as well," you commented which made Iwaizumi glance at his uniform.

Iwaizumi gave a curt nod, "The juniors from the volleyball team asked for it..." He explained.

There are things I'd like to say, dear.

"Really? Who?"

"Kyoutani, Yahaba and Kindaichi."

"I see."

"And you?"

Iwaizumi glanced at your jacket, which was a gift in disguise because he knew if he stared at you longer, his composure would melt.

"Ah," you glance down at your jacket as well, your fingers running at the buttons, "I'm not as popular as you guys, you see. No one asked for my buttons."

But I'll keep them to myself for now.

Iwaizumi nodded while looking away, stopping himself from grinning. He better get his shit together. How could he possibly explain he's smiling because no one asked for your buttons?

I will just wait for the wind to carry all the words I have.

"Should we drop by at the ramen house before going home?" You suggested as you fixed the strap of your bag, "Let's bring Tōhru, Makki, and Mattsun along with us."

He nodded once more. This time, glancing at you. Which was a mistake as he felt heat running to his cheeks again.

Without waiting for his reply, you turned around, walking towards the exit. Iwaizumi's heart beat faster, afraid because of your sudden move. He wants to stop you by holding your hand or by poking your shoulders. But what Iwaizumi did was speak.

"Y/N."

If I reveal just how I feel, I hope you won't change how you look at me.

You turn around, brows raised at him, "Hmmm?" You hummed, expecting for what he's about to say.

Iwaizumi flinched. Words are scattered all over his mind and his tongue is glued tight. His eyes wander around the area, hoping there is something or someone that can save him. If he takes longer to speak, you might turn your back again, which will be a total loss for him as he'd lose his opportunity to voice out what he wanted to say.

"Hey," Iwaizumi's internal panic miraculously dissolved with your voice, "What is it, Iwa-chan?"

Iwaizumi let out a small gasp as he stare at your questioning face. Specifically at your eyes that are now staring at him. This made him nervous again. He wonders if you can see through him? He wonders if you look at him the way he looks at you everytime...

All these wondering could all be answered in a snap if only he had the spine to tell you how much he likes you. Ever since you bumped into one another when you were both still juniors.

But looks like he can't...

In the end, Iwaizumi gave a defeated sigh. Damn, he cursed his self. When will he ever grow the courage to confess the feelings he has for you?

Iwaizumi made a small smile for his internal thoughts as his hand fish on his slacks' pocket. Touching the familiar object, he pulled out his hand and he offered his closed fist to you.

Feeling at the edge, with sweat trickling at the side of his forehead, he uncurled his fingers. And he revealed you something that he finds dear: his button.

He warily eyed you now looking down at his button, "Iwa-chan, is this your..."

"I kept the second button because I wanted to give it to you," he admitted, his eyes now at the floor because he knew for a fact that looking at you would make his feelings berserk for the nth time.

"We're now graduates and I'm sure all of us will part ways soon..." He slowly raised his eyes, giving you the most sincere look he could muster, hoping that his eyes alone would be able to reach what he feels for you.

"Y/N, I don't want you to forget me," he admitted.

Waiting for your response felt like forever. Was it a bad thing? Was he being obvious? Was he being stupid? But Iwaizumi recalled Oikawa being bolder than him and yet, girls still liked him. Perhaps you don't-

Maybe tomorrow you will be mine. I hope you won't change how you look at me.

"Thank you..." your voice pulled him from his thoughts, "Thank you, Iwa-chan."

A smile shows at your lips, making Iwazumi's heart drop. His legs in a dilemma; whether they wanted to collapse on the tiled floor or to stay glued on his specific spot.

Praying it will all be just fine, I hope you won't change how you look at me.

"Would like my second button, too?"

I hope you won't change how you look at me.

"Yes."

 Anon 7:   dhhdh i accidentally scrolled past a fic one day and so i only know the synopsis. i want to say that its completed (not sure) but it was long like probably >80k. i think it was jinsect!wwx but i might be thinking that bc i read othersect!wwx during that search. the description wwx to jin guangshan like “there are some treasures you cannot have” and the synopsis was formatted with lots of line breaks rather than one paragraph.

Yes I had a very nice time with my familly and friends. I went to do sledding with my brother on a mountain near my parent's house because it snowed just the day before my birthday and it was so fun. The landscape was breathtaking and everything was just perfect.

thanks a lot for asking me about yesterday's friendly bvb match against my local team <3333

yeah me and my family really had such a great time and enjoyment at that time....even though my hometown team was defeated 4-1 (tbf we had so much chances we could possibly score at least 2 istg)

and honestly speaking both of teams literally give so much intensity of the game it gives me chills tho
