I'm here to find further interpretations of 13's era to say why we can like it.

actually you know what? i've just finished the 13 era rewatch and it's hitting me because i wasn't ready to let 13 go. again. the writing did her dirty on multiple occasions, no doubt, but i'm sorta glad it was done that way.

when we meet 13, it's a lot of gibberish and adventures and being a human version of a puppy, and that's fun and games but creates a sense of waiting for serious staff to begin. right? so then it does. and you see that little sunshine thingy grow darker and darker. enduring more and more trauma. more losses. you see her desperately trying to stay fun because what if people leave her otherwise. she can't bear being alone with herself. she can't bear sharing any of her worries or pain. tangled in her emotions, unable to really face her affections. and so it worsens until she has to relieve her worst nightmares with endless attacks on earth, total rewrite of her sense of personality, catastrophic events designed specifically to get rid of her and wouldn've happened otherwise, split consciousness, all the consequences and ramifications, until ultimately, her own murder too. she's got so much added trauma my boy 12 would break another fucking wall for her (as would i)

and all that time she kept smiling. forced smiles, fake-happy smiles, nervous smiles - yes. but also sincere smiles. bright like sunshine, warm like memories. after ALL THIS, she had the character to go with a smile. she's truly remarkable, 13. making up for every mistake, shattering herself over helping someone. accumulating grief enough for a hundred runs and leaving with acceptance, soaking up the beauty of the world.

was she everything people wanted? of course not, not a single incarnation is. but she's everything she needed to be.

she's everything 12 wished her to be. laughing hard, running fast, being kind - and letting go.

Made this edit earlier expecting it to make me feel happy......instead I sobbed like a baby.God I miss thirteen already just wished we'd have one more season with her with RTD as a writer.....I loved her Doctor and her era so much but I also feel like she deserved so much more. Even though I don't admit it or I've just don't realise it but I do genuinely think this Doctor has a special spot in my heart like the Eleventh she has left a mark on me so I do feel super sad that she's gone..

And I wanna go even further and say, she owns one too, and they regularly wear them together on set, getting side-eyed and made fun of by Dan for how patheticly in love they are.

I honestly thought this was already canon 😱 There’s a photo that shows Colt holding a box with a ribbon on it that presumably has the hat she gives him, so I’m guessing she had it custom-made for his own stunt company that he starts once the two of them become international stars ;)

And I love the thought of them wearing their matching hats on set 😭 Dan would absolutely make fun of them while proudly wearing his own Fall Guy Stunts hat (because you KNOW the two of them went into business together)!

Vasili: Note to self: Take the broom from Moore...after he knocks out Adler *smiling maliciously*

Vasili is just watching Charles beat Adler with a broom while he sips on his tea. Not Jodie, Aleks, Abby, Koa and Mila joining along with the tea, as well. They're having a blast.

Mila asks, "Does anyone want some extra sugar?"

Aleks and Vasili raised their hands. "Me."

"I'd like to have it spicy." Abby smiles. "It's fun to sip on it while Charles beats him with the broom. Oh what if he puts some hot oil on the wooden stick?"

"That's way too much." Aleks said, as everyone in the room slightly groaned. "Even if he's my husband, I enjoy this. A lot." She chuckles a bit.

"Me too. Charles is doing what we should have before." Jodie sips on her tea.

"A little harder in the back, Charles! It's more effective!" Koa cried out.

"Ah, so satisfying." Vasili closes his eyes, sips his tea and takes a breather as they watch the chaos between Charles and Adler together.
