I’m Ahmed Alanqar from Gaza, where we have lived our entire lives under siege, facing daily hardships and military actions. In October 2023, the conflict escalated catastrophically, destroying my newly built home, my neighborhood, my workplace, and robbing us of our sense of safety.

We are now homeless, desperately seeking a chance to build a new life away from the constant threat of bombings that have become our grim reality.

As we face this challenge, my children are always at the forefront of my mind: Zeina (8 years), Eileen (7 years), Yamen (5 years), and Ronza, who is just four months old and was born during the war.

Every time I look at Ronza, I see pure innocence in her eyes, unaware of the terror that surrounds us. She smiles and plays, oblivious to the danger and destruction around her. I can't help but wonder: How long will this innocence last? How long can we protect her and her siblings from this reality? I've been rereading this so much and it really captures what I feel like Lilia is 🥹🥹

ALSO YES his way of leaving was just uh,,, Meleanor would be enraged to say the least XD like Helloooo Lilia, arent you just escaping BAHSGJAGS thats why i reached the conclusion that maybe he just doesn't want Silver and Malleus to see him dead 😭😭😭

Also even if Lilia's death comes, wouldn't it be more painful to Malleus to have Lilia die in a far away place....

I assumed that he'll hear his supposed death through a letter or something but its actually revealed in Book 7 that faes can sense a fae's death through the loss of their magical presence...

So imagine how depressing for Malleus to lose the feeling of Lilia's magic, something that has always been constant to him.... 😭😭 So even intangible things like his presence will be lost as soon as Lilia leaves 🥲🥲🥲

I know its been said that Lilia likes acting cheerful despite his nearing death because he doesn't want to look weak. But, I think the undertone of his reasoning is he doesn't want to spend his last days in tragedy and sadness so he copes it with being happy as much as he can.😭

Isn't that a more obvious behavior especially now that we know that Lilia's life only has been happy for the last 2 decades, or less. I'm saying that because I feel like the years where Malleus grows up was depressing too because he was badly excluded and only recently, in NRC, did he finally have "a group of people to be a part of with freely"

I feel like this is more like an understandable reason why he wants to go away as "he can still smile and act happy" before his age deteriorates him up, and makes him "look lifeless" to his family.

Rather than making Silver and Malleus remember his death, I think his version of a happy ending was that party where they'll all have fun together. I think Lilia wants them to remember *his happiness* the most. Because Lilia's life has mostly been a tragedy, and I don't think he wishes even after his death, that he would still be a "tragic person".

I feel like his line about "not wanting Malleus to be a hero of a fairy tale" reflects that. Because he did experience being the "hero of a fairytale". He saved Malleus from being killed and dying. He is, in the story, the rightful hero of Briar Valley.

TWST has always told that heroes in this world are perfect individuals with perfect morals and life, but Lilia as a hero, added more depth towards the concept of heroes in TWST...

To be a hero, you need to be facing the story's conflicts, you have to sacrifice a lot, and be in pain for doing the right thing just for you to "have something to be victorious over."

And, I feel like that's a nice parallel to the theme that "villains are people that can be redeemed/grow up even if they're messed up". Its like saying everyone struggles even if you're a hero or a villain, like there's never a perfect role or a perfect world where there's no sadness.... 😭

also, I know Lilia mostly said that line about "heroes in fairytales" because he wants Malleus not to die forgotten like Meleanor and Levan, but its GETS ME knowing he said that as well because he doesn't want to see Malleus in any kind of pain😭

What are the questions you hate??

Okay so I don’t really HATE anything (so far) but how bout an FAQ? There are some asks I’m kind of tired of answering lol. Such as;

• “FEED ME” For one thing, it’s not even an ask 💀 So I don’t love this energy, it’s -2 charm for me. Whilst I’m grateful that folks really like the art I share (like SUPER GRATEFUL!!) I am not particularly enchanted by a demanding aura

• “when is ____ coming out”? The answer is always “I don’t know” because I draw for FUN and I draw in my FREE TIME and that varies. So for the foreseeable future, unless I EXPLICITLY state otherwise, you can expect my next post to appear on your screen whenever I post it 🥰😘

• “what programs do you use”? I don’t have a problem AT ALL with inquiring minds, I just get this ask a lot and I’ve already answered it a few times (for the inquisitive minds, please consider checking the tag ‘answers’ on this blog to find information. I’ll tag this ‘faq’) Anyway, I use pens, paper, my iPad, Apple Pencil, and Procreate. I often use brush packs made by Shiyoon Kim and Kyle Webster. I find brush packs on the creative market as well. wanna learn Clip Studio Paint, but haven’t gotten to it.

• “advice on improving in drawing”? This is a beautiful question, and I’m happy there are people who want to improve their drawing skills! I am one of you. I frequently use “YouTube university” where I will find drawing focused channels that teach you this very thing. Andrew Loomis books on drawing are like textbooks that break down the fundamentals really effectively. Like any skill, you have to research, study, and practice. The more you do of each, the better you will get. I’m trying my best to improve and master the craft eventually. (A fool’s errand haha) anyway, have fun!

• “can I fandub this”? The answer is yes!! And I hope you have a lot of fun!!! Please credit me and no monetizing. 🥰 Also, please no posting on twitter (X) or meta (instagram, facebook), as I feel uncomfortable with the Gen AI social media platforms.

This isn’t long enough to do the lovely prompt justice so I might expand on how the relationship actually develops before we get to the HEA, would very much like to, plus there’s tons of scope left for other fic versions!

Steve didn’t usually notice anything new on Hawkins Main Street, even when he’d been away.

He spotted the new pastry store—Munson’s Munchies!—and his heart gave one of those flutters he’d forgotten existed. These days, any fizzle of excitement was usually shadowed with a resounding, Meh!

That’s what all his relationships came to, right?

Now, Steve’s heart pattered so madly it leaped into his throat. He plucked the courage to enter.

A bell tinkled sweetly above loud hardcore metal. Steve breathed deep of honeycomb, choc-pastries, syrupy brioche and fresh coffee. There were lil’ round tables with chequered pink and neon-slime-green cloth, cute china cups, then…

…he shimmied through some beaded curtains.

Eddie Munson.

The secret crush that’d consumed Steve’s soul, which he’d never acted on. Never got close enough to Eddie to flirt, even. Eddie had epitomised cutting-edge geekery crossed with bad-boy cool. Steve hadn’t had a clue how to approach him, other than being a douche.

Now, Eddie wore a lurid-pink Munson’s Munchies apron. He’d gotten his hair piled in a messy bun, loose strands framing his face, kissing those dimples.

Eddie was perfect.

As recognition hit, the placid customer-services half-smile on that lush mouth segued into a devilish grin.

“Harrington?”

“Hey.” Steve offered a dumb little wave, blushing like a cupcake cherry. It’s not like he’d returned to Hawkins to hook up with Eddie, though he still fantasized about what might’ve been, and…

…why the hell did he come back?  After two aimless years of city-hopping, dead-end jobs, and meaningless sex? Unless…

Steve sucked his lip.

“You want cake?” asked Eddie, “Otherwise, loving the conversation, dude. Could chitchat like this all night.”

Didn’t come for cake. Came in for YOU.

Steve literally facepalmed. “Sorry, spotted your name and… Wow! This place is cool. Yeah, I’ll have cake. What do you recommend?”

Eddie’s grin reached his eyes, sparkled, and sent tingles down Steve’s spine. “My nutty brownies are the real deal.”

“Uh… can I pass? Literally anything else. I had a really bad experience with brownies at High School, and…” Eddie’s turn to facepalm. “What?”

Steve selected a choc-mint-cupcake. Eddie poured afternoon-tea-for-two at a table with shiny-metallic doilies and ’fessed up. He discovered his love of creating pastries while dealing, baking weed into brownies: “I made a bogus batch for Tommy H once. He’d been picking on Gareth and—”

“—don’t sweat it. It might not have been the same ones, but I reckon he paid the revenge on. Tommy and I were on the ‘outs,’ and… Uuuuurgh, the headache! Never barfed so much, ever.”

“Man, I’m sorry.” Eddie winced, sipping tea delicately, pinkie finger raised.

“I’d honestly forgive you anything,” whispered Steve.

Shit. WHISPERED THAT TOO LOUD.

One afternoon, while they baked together, Steve discovered he actually craved brownies again. Eddie fed them to him, smearing crumbs on Steve’s lips, till Steve sucked those delicious fingers deep, kissed them messily then kissed Eddie ravenously. After that, he always swallowed brownies waaaaay too fast—salty-chocolate was his second-fave flavor.

Only Eddie knew his top favorite.

The house felt colder, was it because it was December or because you were alone? You didn’t know, it was just you and yourself on the apartment.

Maybe it was the loneliness, or the fact that you were trying to convince yourself that your boyfriend was enjoying his vacations, he had told you that he needed some time for himself and you understood, the last few years had been a frenzy, that’s why you didn’t tag along. But you had expected him to be back by the holidays. But no.

You had spent Christmas with your friends, tried to fit in without your boyfriend wa shard, specially since you had celebrated Christmas with him for the last couple of years.

But to your surprise, before New Year’s Eve, the pictures were released. Pictures of Austin and the nepobaby, Kaia Gerber, getting all hot and messy on a pool in Los Cabos.

A part of you wanted to believe that it wasn’t your Austin, maybe it was a random man. There’s a ton of blond men in the world. But you knew his face like you knew your morning routine. “So, a getaway, huh?” You said as you ate dinner the day he returned.

“Yes. Uh, I needed to clear my head, and it worked!” He said with a smile, reaching for your hand. “But I missed you, so fucking much.”

“Really?” You said, scoffing. He could be so cynical. As you scoffed, he raised his eyebrow.

“Yes? Why wouldn’t I miss you, doll?” Austin asked, still pretending. Well, he had missed you, but only after he slept with Kaia.

“You didn’t seem to miss me, I mean, you didn’t even call me the three weeks you were gone.” You said. Appearing to be nonchalant as you checked your nails.

“I went no-contact, doll. You know me…” he said, Austin smiled at you again. This would’ve worked on you if there were no pictures involved, because he barely used his phone anyways.

“You were too busy with that model.” You said out loud, he stared at you. His face twisted in confusion. He was playing dumb.

“What are you talking about?” Austin scoffed, those were horrible accusations. Although he knew they were true. “I was just enjoying alone time, needed to unwind. Jesus, doll.”

“Do you think I’m stupid?” You asked, he was playing mind games with you.

“I mean, you’re saying it…” he trailed off, okay, now he was calling you stupid. “This is ridiculous. I love you, and look! I’m already back home, here, with you.”

He pointed at you and then poked your shoulder with that finger. Almost saying: “you should be grateful I even came back to you”.

“I saw the photos. You were all over her. Kissing her and…”

He held up his hand, interrupting you.

“Listen, doll. You’re imagining things that never happened. How do you even know that was me?” Austin said, his tone serious, serious that it sounded believable.

“Austin, come on. I know you, I know you like the palm of my hand.” You defended your side, you knew him better than anyone else.

“Doesn’t seem like it. With those, horrible accusations you’re freely throwing around.” Austin said, looking away, like a hurt puppy.

He told you not to worry, but why did it still hurt so much? Were you actually just crazy? You didn’t know what was happening to you. Or to your relationship.

“Austin, come on. The proof is there.” You tried to explain yourself, tried to make him listen to you.

“And you believe that? You really believe Hollywood, the paparazzi, and the internet, over me?” He asked, incriminating you, of course. “Wow. I mean, wow. I thought we were good, doll. I guess we aren’t.”

Now you felt bad. God, why did you always ruin the good moments. He had just gotten back to you, excited to see you again and you just had to ruin it by being jealous.

Why were you so jealous if he was yours?

Why were you so fucking insecure?

“You’re so paranoid. I don’t know what’s gotten into you lately. There’s a thousand blond men in the world, in Hollywood. Hell, there might be ones that look like me.” He scoffed, now appearing to be annoyed.

But a part of you still knew that this could be true. You weren’t crazy if what you saw was true. But then again. What he said was true. You should believe him over Hollywood or the internet, he was your boyfriend.

The look in his eyes, you thought it was sadness and hurt but in reality it was guilt. Because he was guilty of what you accused him of but you didn’t see it. You thought you had hurt him.

“Baby, I’m… I’m sorry. Alright? I know I shouldn’t even be that jealous.” You walked closer to him, hugging him.

But he didn’t hug you back. There it was again, him denying your comfort. That made you feel even more guilty.

“I’m sorry.” You muttered again.

“It’s one trip I take for myself and you just accuse me of that. I would never want to hurt you. Never.” He said, looking away from you. The so-called hurt expression still in his eyes.

“Baby, I just— I’m sorry. I think it was just because I was mad and alone. I didn’t want to make you feel bad.” You hugged him tighter. You hated making him feel bad and you had done it.

“Just, I need time to think about this. I just can’t believe you would accuse me of that.” Austin said, pulling away from you and walking into your shared bedroom, slamming the door.

He would ignore your for as long as he saw fit. A few hours, few days, few weeks maybe. But it was a regular occurrence. It depended on what you did, if it was something minor, you would get maybe an hour, but something like this, you didn’t know and you didn’t want to know.

You felt like crying again. Why did you ruin everything when it was going well?

But deep down, you, him and everyone knew the truth. You were just too blinded to see it.

But really, one look into those blue eyes of his and it was over. As simple as that. And you would never do anything to see those eyes sad or filled with tears.

Even if that meant hurting yourself in the process.

That's right everyone! As you may have deduced from my reblog of the FAQ post, we're bringin' back F/ovember this year! Get ready for another month of f/o takeovers!

For the month of November, your f/os have free reign of your blog, and people are welcome to come ask them questions! You're also encouraged to go to others participating in the event and send questions for their f/os as well. You can even have your f/o be the one sending asks to others!

Don't worry though, you don't have to keep up the takeover for the entire month. You can drop in and out whenever you like! Whether you do it for a day, a week, or the whole month, you'll still be a part of the event!

If you decide to join in, you can even make a promo stating which f/os will be taking over your blog, which I absolutely encourage you to tag me in so I can give it a reblog. And be sure to tag any related posts and answers with the tag "f/ovember" as well!
