25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Didn't think much of him at first, mostly since I played MW2 first and he's barely in it, but then I played MW19 and I immediately liked his vibe and his dynamic with Price. I saw the NikPrice fanarts and knew I would end up loving this ship some day. I like morally ambiguous characters, so a shady mobster looking guy who turns out is a good old friend to captain Price? Come on, he was made for me.

Now, well, the Nikolai brainrot is real BRRRRR. I just think he's a very interesting character and that even though we don't get a lot of content with him in canon, we still have enough to deduce a lot of things about him. He clearly is my muse at the moment too, I just love drawing him <3

You looked at your boyfriend with all the love and admiration you could give him as he answered the interviewers questions. You observed him, he knew what he was talking about, he talked with his hands, he made eye contact, and the bright smile you loved so much was on his face.

You often found yourself paying more attention to your boyfriend than anything else, which was an issue in most cases. But not this one since he was currently the center of attention. With all his new movies on the way he was getting asked a ton of questions but you didn’t mind! Your favorite thing to do was listen to him talk, especially when it was stuff he was passionate about.

“But mostly y/n, she helped me with a lot of stuff like practicing lines and traveling with me. She just yeah, she’s been amazing.”

He turned and smiled at you and you smiled back. He was just so cute you couldn’t help but subtly grab his hand and put it in yours. The interviewer asked you questions about your character to which you happily answered. In all honesty you wanted this interview to be over already. You wanted to jump on your boyfriend and kiss him.

Just the thought of it made you smile so you tried to answer the questions as quickly as possible. Jack answered them calmly and sweetly. He was just so sweet and so caring and you found yourself kicking your feet, that we’re hanging off the chair, just a bit. You still swooned for him to this day even if you had been together for a year now. He made you so giddy and happy, even just by being next to you.

“Okay, I have one last question for you.”

Jack hummed and payed close attention to the interviewer to hear their question.

“What’s something you’re both going to take away from this experience?”

“That family is important!” You blurted out causing Jack to laugh. “I agree! That family is important and that you always need to stick by them and support them, and yeah just love them.” You both smiled and the interviewer nodded, “Great! Thank you all for being here and thank you for giving us a great movie!”

“Thank you for having us!”

“Alright, cut! That was good!”

The crew thanked you guys and smiled before the interviewer left the scene and that’s when you made your move. “Hey, do you want to get some-”

You cut Jack off by jumping at his side, which was easy since your seats were close together, you put your arms around his neck and kissed him. You pulled back with an exaggerated mwah! sound. “What was that for?” Jack giggled while you covered his face in kisses. “You’re just so cute and I love you so much,” you kissed his lips again before you snuggled your face into his neck.

“Y/nnn, we should get going,” he said quietly.

“Okay okay, just one more!”

“One more kiss.”

You mumbled something he couldn’t hear before you grabbed the sides of his face and kissed all over his face again. His nose, under his eyes, his cheeks, his cupids bow, his forehead. “You’re so adorable, you know that? I love how cute and awkward you are during interviews and you answer questions so well,” you giggled. His face turned red and his smile was big.

You stopped to admire him and wiped some lipstick that had gotten on him off his face. “Perfect,” you muttered. “You’re perfect,” he said back with a proud smile as you rolled your eyes playfully.

“I love you.”

“I love you more.”

You hit his arm playfully and kissed his lips, once, than twice, than a third time for good measure. “Okay, now we can go!” You exclaimed as you smiled at him cheekily and then he kissed your cheek this time. “Lets go, angel.”

Favourite dynamics? Ooh, you know I'm gonna ramble! I might end up talking about all my favourite ships and friendships!

First up, gotta talk about the friendship between Lukas and Radar, like oh my god. It's so cute and supportive. Like, nervous wreck and one who keeps him calm and rational? Yes, love it. Also, that scene in the background where he is teaching Radar how to fight is so adorable! Such a wholesome friendship, I'm dying.

Now, one of my favourite ships that I don't really see much of unfortunately, Admin Shipping (Fred x Romeo x Xara). Like, in the best circumstances, it is so cute! I kinda see it as Caregiver/Soft x Gremlin x Serious Girlboss. Though Xara and Romeo are bit mentally fucked up, especially with the backstories I give them which I have wrote an AO3 fic about, and the two bounce off each others moods, both positive and negative which can lead to arguments between them, Fred is always there to calm them down. I feel like Xara and Romeo are really bad with saying "I'm sorry", while on the other hand Fred apologises too much, Romeo and Xara found a different way to show apology: cuddling! When the two are in a bad mood, they don't really wanna be touched so cuddling each other after an argument is their way of saying "I'm sorry, we're good now." Ogh, I could talk about them all day but I need to move on to the next dynamic before I get too silly and write a whole essay on them.

Right, ok. Another friendship I like is Xara and Jesse. It might sound a bit weird but hear me out, think of it as like doing all the best interactions with her. Jesse helps her to trust again, after being betrayed by one of the people she loved and I love that. Especially with how they would take care of her. Xara would probably try and help Jesse and their friends when the spiders show up but Jesse would just give her the bed and tell her "Go to bed right now. You've done enough, ok?" I feel like this would catch her off guard because she's not used to people caring for her. Though it also would work vise versa, with Xara protecting Jesse from monsters throughout their time together. I could also see Jesse helping her rebuild the Oasis post season two!

Ooh, I also like the dynamic between Petra and Jack! In my head, it screams Father Daughter relationship! The way Petra looks up to Jack is so adorable, like just seeing hop around in excitement upon meeting him, ogh my heart! And the way Jack takes care of her too, alongside not wanting to disappoint her when he felt scared being in the place that killed his other friends.

God, I love the block characters!

okay so like as i said im very new to hockey, i never thought i would end up here but i couldn't hold back eventually 😭 there's just something abt jack... he isn't even my usual type but ?? he's got me under some kind of spell?? not fair... and well super recently ive started to also maybe really like quinn too so i may have spent all morning reading all your quinn works 👉👈

when im reading (and writing tbh) i much much much prefer like sweeter, softer smut? and god you write that so so well. something about the way you intertwine the dialogue with the actions, the way the characters you write fit so well into my own thoughts abt them.....

but yeah again, esp the first frat fic you did for jack in the 1k celly. maybe it's because i live across the globe in europe, but the whole frat system has always intrigued me, and frat!aus are so lovely – but yours was even more amazing than usual? i can't really put my finger on it.... but i have to say that you describe everything in such good detail yet not too much, like it doesn't feel like your intention is to be overly descriptive but your writing still makes me feel every little thing the characters are feeling in some way? does that make sense or am i over analyzing?? like this: "It’s hard to place at first, mostly because you’ve never seen Jack look at you this way. He always oozes confidence. He always watches your expression when he’s fucking you because he knows how good he’s making you feel, and he wants to see you fall apart. He’s never looked at you like he needs more, but today he needs more. // You search his face for any other hint about what he means, placing a hand over his heart and finding that it’s racing. Jack is breathing evenly, but his eyebrows are turned down and the corners of his lips sag."  IDK just in such few words you make me feel so much. (also just loved seeing that softer side to him aaaaaaaaa)

1. Beatles songs fill me with such warmth. Hugs. My sister loved them sm and anything my sister loved, I loved. She was ten years older than me. I was raised on the Beatles. Plus they remind me of my beloved emma ( @love-songs-for-maria ) and her family/her mom. My second family being a Beatles household is so nice c: I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends :')

2. There was a time period where i could Not stop listening to this song. I started making art about it back then; this is absolutely reminding me to finish it omg. Also, this song actually /sampled/ beebadoobee's song "coffee," it's not just like a song they made together. So check out "coffee" for a song about healing that makes me CRY and also feel like I'm being HUGGED. Love u beebadoobee

3. Wow. What a classic. How To Never Stop Being Sad was my ULTIMATE cry song when I was like 13. I still think about some of lines (it reads more like spoken word/poetry with backdrop) more as How To *Stop* Being Sad, yknow? Motivational. Like "Become a background character to your own motion picture" -> Be the main character in your life. Take up space. EXIST. ♡

4. The album this comes from, "In Between Dreams," sounds like childhood. Like sitting on the lil fold down square seats in the back of my dad's old lil red pickup truck as we drive to other side of the island to go dirtbike riding with my mom and brother. It's also become something I dont /have/ to associate with that. I got a vinyl record of it when I was about 15/16 and used to play it while dancing around the front room and making breakfast (various friends and partners over the years there or not). It's also mine. My solo drive peaceful music. Sittin, Waitin, Wishin :)

5. This is the sound of the Spongebob Squarepants Movie ending. That's it. That's what it is. First credits song. One of the rare movie endings where the credits actually go SO HARD and I actually prefer letting them play out. I watched this movie a billion times since it came out when I was a kid. The end credits when this plays show waves crashing and it looks like you're surfing and reminds me of Hawai'i, which is where I was still living when it first came out and I'd watch the DVD endlessly!! Yeah, this whole thing has been pretty frustrating to be honest. In a way it's even worse than actual terfs, because these are people who are philosophically not that different than I am, and if we met in real life we probably wouldn't even know that we disagree. I mean, I do talk sometimes about label anarchy with some of my friends, but we have to be close and you have to get me in a philosophical mood. It's really frustrating to be openly disrespected as a person for one opinion that, though it does happen to be really important to me, doesn't come up in my everyday life (or, likely, theirs either).

The whole pronoun thing really got to me too. I KNOW they were just strawmanning, and I KNOW it wasn't really a valid critique of anything I said, but the suggestion that I would even consider purposely using the wrong pronouns for someone is upsetting. I don't think he even noticed before an anon pointed it out as a way to invalidate my argument. I don't think it upset him (or the anon) as much as the anon said it did. I still apologized though because I'm not going to not apologize for using the wrong pronouns.

Also I know jack shit about history because it doesn't stay in my break but yeah actually I do remember reading about that! That's crazy, I can't believe they called me a liar when they don't know their history. I mean, I don't either, but at least I'm honest about it.

i'm sorry you're feeling so stressed out! and i hope you're workload gets easier for you soon, school can suck sometimes but it's SO cool you're doing engineering - it takes a lot of drive, commitment and discipline to get into something like that at all so you should be super proud of yourself!!! <3

and YES 'now you see me' just blew me away! the plot was incredible and i did NOT anticipate the plot twist at the end of the first film with Dylan being the fifth horseman (was convinced it was the french interpol lady). also the cast was just filled with actors i love so it was SO nice to see them all share the screen (Woody Harrelson! Mark Ruffalo! Jesse Eissenberg! Isla Fisher! Morgan Freeman!!!)

I really did love Henley so it was a little disappointing to not see her in the second film, but Lizzy Caplan as Lula ATE. She was so funny and literally so me (she's flirting with Jack 24/7 and I'm just like 'yeah I get her'). Lula was such a girlboss and verrrrry quickly became my favourite character. Just in general, the plot of this franchise is so well thought out imo? Like having to come up with all these twists and the magic tricks and big reveals and "always being one step ahead", i was here tryna figure it out before it got explained and I just never could! Just truly phenomenal.
