I feel you. As much as I’m dreading it, I still can’t help but have a little hope. Like maybe the previews are just purposefully rage-baiting Jason fans in order to drum up conversation and excitement, and the actual story won’t be that bad?

I have a feeling it’s going to be a Cheer situation though. The art will be beautiful and the writing, though it will play into victim-blaming Jason and framing him as fundamentally unfit to be Robin, might still have some interesting and/or emotionally compelling ideas.

talked about jordan here but !!! another fave is sirris. she's so freaky... the way she's so intensely protective of syd while ALSO having a complete lack of healthy boundaries about sex and ALSO seeming to have an emotionally estranged relationship with syd... mwah. perfect. i also have a major soft spot for single mom characters, esp teen moms (which i hc sirris was)

also!! i subscribe to the idea that sirris kinda keeps her head down when it comes to bad shit happening around her unless it has to do with syd. doesn't strike me as the type to stick her neck out for her students, and her care for pc is very conditional on pc being syd's friend. is this what they're going for in canon? idk! but this is my headcanon and i'm clutching it with a death grip because. compels me <3

side note i don't like playing w m!sirris at all and i want him died </3 when mom sirris makes her daughter model lingerie with her gf to advertise her sex toy shop it's silly fun borderline incestuous flagrant disregard for boundaries. when dad sirris does it it makes my skin crawl so bad and not even in a fun way.

I answered an ask abt the wip here, but I guess I can elaborate a little bit more 🤔 it’s a fic abt the cincinnati bengals that starts pre-2020 (in 2017) and explores a little bit about tyler boyd being from Pittsburgh and ending up drafted by a team he grew up not liking (will this be in the actual posted fic? Who’s to say). Along the way joe mixon gets drafted to the bengals and they feel like they have some connection despite some initial friction and the rest of the story is trying to navigate emotions in the midst of investing in a fwb situation and also the team they play on is bad 🕊️ I don’t think I really formulated an ending… I guess they figure that they don’t want to be in limbo about their feelings and make that more clear? But yeah 😭 that’s what it’s about

Yes, lore reason!!! That actually probably won't come up in the comic, so I'll answer it here!!

Fidds was actually wearing it for a vampire "meeting"!! Yess, he has been a vampire for a while, and he doesn't particularly like it, but he has to participate in vampire culture 🙏 And y'know, you have to dress up for those things. Stan just caught him at a bad time, he usually doesn't wear stuff like that!!!

So when he said costume party, it wasn't that much of a lie, who would've figured!!

Answer to your first question under cut bec of subject matter

Corbeau grew up in a cult 😬 it was extreme like most tend to be in a small rural town run by them. Young Corbeau would shirk his duties so he could tend to the animals kept by the cult as their food source and for other cultish activities. He would often sleep in the barn with said animals as they brought him comfort and they didn’t mind sharing their space with him. He’d get regular beatings for irreligious behaviors by his parents. He never had love for his parents, his father least of all. But YEAH Corbeau was exposed to some really messed up things as a kid. Poor thing really was put through the ringer and forced to deal with things no kid should ever have to be exposed too 😭
