Okay full disclaimer I haven't watched a whole lot of Sherlock movies, I've seen the RDJ ones (Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes: a game of shadows), I've seen The Hound of Baskervilles (Rathbone) and I've seen Sherlock Gnomes

Personally my fave of the lot are the RDJ ones (I like the 2nd one most), Robert Downey Jr. does a great job playing Sherlock (although he does say the m slur. Yeah :( ) and they're very hectic in a fun way! I also love love LOVE how they portray Mycroft, him and Sherlock are close, and Mycroft is UNHINGED. He does NOT know how to read people. I fucking ADORE it. BY god!!!

The 2nd one is my fave specifically bc it centers Moriarty (I know he's overdone but I love him 😔 he's so incredibly cool to me) and. AND. Let me just say there's a chess game. And it mirrors the plot so well. I just wish there was more movie :(

I don't want to go too much into Sherlock Gnomes but. Oh my god it actually has a pretty fucking good moral. And it's also the closest I've gotten to canon Johnlock. And Sherlock is an asshole but we love him for it!! I know Gnomeo and Juliet got a LOT of critique and ik Sherlock Gnomes seems silly but it's good. Irene's straight in it though. Which. [loud incorrect buzzer]

The Hound of Baskervilles is good too!! But it's from 1939 so it's in black and white, the audio's crunchy, and the pacing isn't quite what this generation is used to lol. I'll be honest I. Barely caught shit from the movie. But what I DID catch was good 👍🏻👍🏻

My reccomendations, in order, RDJ Sherlock on top, Sherlock Gnomes 2nd, and Rathbone 3rd.

Not a hater but i think people are right when they say Will or even Mike wont be that important as we wish to be. I have never once consumed a media sidelining its main or focal point characters in the penultimate, and then the finale season rolls and its revealed that they play a huge role? That just simply souns like bad writing. I dont think the Arya comparison is 1-1 but it still kinda has a point. Will playing a huge role in defeating Vecna would feel very weird.

I kind of agree and disagree. The way that the writers went about it is definitely questionable to say the least. I didn't enjoy watching Will take a backseat in season 3, and then having those really disjointed storylines in season 4 where the Cali crew was almost completely removed from the supernatural plot in Hawkins. There was probably a better way to structure it for sure.

However, I don't think that claims of Will playing a huge role in defeating Vecna are completely unfounded, and that’s not just referring to outside cast and crew comments.

For starters, there is the very heavy connection that Will has to the supernatural in s1 and s2. Obviously El has a deep connection to the supernatural given her powers, but I would say that Will is the most entrenched in the Upside Down plot over anyone else, maybe aside from Vecna. El is connected to the Upside Down because she’s the one who opens gates, but I would say that Will has much more of a personal connection than her.

If it was just season 1 and 2 I would write it off, but it’s the fact that Will maintains a connection to the UD and Vecna, and the show wants you to know that he has kept this connection, that makes believe that Will has a much bigger role to play than they are letting on. If the show made this connection completely irrelevant, decided to make El the sole hero who has to fix everything yet again, that would feel like bad writing to me.

But you know, wishing for writing to be Not Bad doesn’t equate to Thing Happening, but given the points that I listed earlier does make me inclined to believe that Thing Will Happen. But to each their own, anon. We shall see in time how everything plays out.

I talked everywhere but here 😂 Back from Japan yesterday, ended my wonderful trip 😭

Meet them all in person and watch Hetamyu with my own eyes were the best experience of my life. If anyone have watch the stream, they will know what is the gift that Hetamyu gave fans. Sitting there and witnessed it was a speechless moment. I remembered how much I laughed and cried, feel the cast effort and love to us. We've been together for such a long time, and they always work hard to bring fans the best work.

The grandeur of this play is the flowers that have bloomed since 5 years ago and I'm happy for what everyone has given us.. Thank you Hetamyu for coming back, and I love you all so much. This is the best and most fulfilling work of all the Hetamyu series, the most fantastic show!
