Haven’t collabed with @renconner in a long while for a mini comic (minus our big one, Instinct). We were talking about one of Stan’s lowest moments involving being outside with that damn sign, so we decided to make a comic with Stan remembering it. I’ve also kinda of assumed Filbrick would lie to Ford about what’s going on with Stan (Stan probably did too to some extent).

Oh look, it seems like there's a Republican-led movement to purge voter rolls in the lead-up to the election! It's almost as if your vote matters and they don't want you to vote! Anyway, I whipped up a quick map (based on this) that shows when the voter registration deadline is in each state. There are a few deadlines coming up in the next week or so.

If you live in a state that regularly purges voter rolls for infrequent voters (the orange ones in the first map), or if you moved recently, it's good to check if you're still registered to vote.

Vote.org makes it super easy to check your registration: https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/

Just put in your address and DOB and they'll tell you whether you're registered. (And they give you a quick link to register online if it turns out that you're not! Only the 9 states in white on my map don't have online registration, and for those they provide instructions on how to do it via mail or in person.) If you want an extra verification, find your state's election website and double-check there.

So yeah, give yourself peace of mind -- do a quick check. :)

Throughout all your years as an artist now working at DisneyTVA, have you ever felt pressured to keep your work and image "family friendly"? Like, have you ever had an idea, whether for a project or your Hanamusa comics, you scraped at the last moment in order to keep a "professional image"? As a small content creator, I sometimes think about it to the point I avoid things like cursing lol.

Not particularly! I feel like most employers and most other people in animation don't care what you do in your free time and what you post (save for being like,,, an actual bigot and being vocal about it)

I feel like the only time I really cared was really early on when I was just trying to break in. But I quickly learned no one else cared and just being yourself and allowing yourself that freedom showed employers who I genuinely was and I think people can feel that authenticity.

I've drawn nsfw, I've cussed, I post all my gay shit, etc. I think the only people that might care are the "very online" crowd. I'm usually not on the receiving end of that since I generally have a pretty "clean" presence online but the only time I've felt any sort of pressure to keep appearances up was on here or twitter from random users.

I will say, I do have stuff that I only post my locked private/nsfw accounts, not because of pressure, but my own personal values. And also not everyone needs to know exactly what's going on in my brain all the time haha. That's for my close friends and people I trust.
