I didn't forget you Ingata! <3 <3 Just spacing these posts out so it's not a wall of my fic yapping.

10) What work was the quickest to write?

I feel like Making It Up took me barely a weekend, which kills me right now when I’m in there “there, I wrote one whole good sentence today” doldrums.

11) What work took you the longest to write?

Rabbit Heart was supposed to be my “tropey bullshit to write on a snowday” fic - then it didn’t snow all winter and I was stuck trying to write Sifo-Dyas recovering from hypothermia when it’s 101 F and a billion percent humidity. STOP WHINING SIFO YOU’RE FINE

30 Biggest surprise while writing this year?

I barely wrote any of my absolute favorite thing to write: a big fuck-off lightsaber fight scene. I think this is an unpopular opinion, but I love writing combat, and I love writing particularly Dooku in combat because it’s one of the only times I get to write that man purely euphoric. I was really expecting to give him one of those during the summit rescue scene in Rabbit Heart, but he just wouldn’t get it up for me. That needed to be a “crying in the mud while beating someone to death with his fists” scene, not a Makashi dual-wielding loveliness scene.

29 Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

Oh absolutely Sifo-Dyas and Dooku having the most supremely awkward “sharing a bed” trope moment in Rabbit Heart is a particular favorite of mine:

“Stay here, I mean.” Sifo-Dyas touched the bed. “Here.”

Oh. As in… here-here. Dooku tried to control his expression.

They had shared a bed before, dozens of times as young Padawans. Sleeping over at each other’s quarters, sharing the spare mattress on the Truthseeker, or falling asleep sitting up, their heads bumped together, in the Healers after whatever latest stupid calamity. But that had been a very long time ago. They were grown men and Jedi Knights now.

“If…that is what you want?”

Sifo-Dyas’s face was mixed, both nervous and decided. “It is.”

They both looked at each other for a beat of awkward silence.

“...Now?” Dooku asked. He did not want to invade his space prematurely.

“Now is when I was planning to sleep, yes.”

“Right.” Dooku pulled off his shirt. He slid his feet out of his boots and unpeeled his damp socks, taking too much time arranging them by the bed in case Sifo-Dyas wanted to change his mind.

Sifo-Dyas shifted over for him, and Dooku stretched out on the narrow bed. He settled onto his back, trying not to crowd him. It was …not particularly comfortable. He had too much leg for this bunk. It was difficult to imagine actually falling asleep like this. “Do you…ah, have enough space?”

“Plenty.” Sifo-Dyas was frowning, studying their positions. “Hmm.”

“What is it now?” Dooku asked a little desperately.

“That’s not quite right.”

“Not right? How?” Dooku was unable to keep the frustration out of his tone. He would do anything to make Sifo-Dyas happy and comfortable, if he would just tell him what he–

“Like this.” Sifo-Dyas slid over. Dooku held very still, letting him curl his wounded body around his own. He took Dooku’s hand and adjusted the position of his arm so that it lay around him. The top of his head was just under his chin. Dooku could still smell the smoke in his hair, strands stirring with each of his breaths.

“Just… ” Sifo-Dyas shivered, then seemed to go completely boneless all at once. “Just pretend for me."

#I loved writing the trope moments in Rabbit Heart because Dooku doesn't even realize he's in a trope until it's too late #nice clueless Dooku pining Sifo dynamic #Sifo-Dyas determined to teach this man to spoon if it's the last thing he does #THANK YOU FOR ASKING <3 <3 <3

5. What part was hardest to write?

Coming down to an on a good way to end it was probably the toughest part! I find that to be the case for a lot of lighthearted one-shots...just a proper, eloquent way to wrap things up.

6. What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?

It was fun to figure out a good smut dynamic for these two!!! I hope that fun came through in the writing of it!

7. Where did the title come from?

it came from me bashing my head against my desk and desperately shuffling spotify until Troye Sivan's "My My My!" came up, and I said, "good enough." because all of the actual ~mood~ songs did not have adequate title lyrics.

7) Least favorite character(s)? marley, ryder, shelby corcoran ( i love some of the songs featuring idina, but she's just so manipulative towards both quinn and rachel, and she should have had the sense to not sleep with puck), lauren zizes honestly kind of annoys me, joe (christianity avatar) doesn't add much for me, and i am demi lovato dani's number one hater. i don't care for the season 6 gay football player really. as for the core group, though, i pretty much can find one point or another where i am charmed by each of them. luckily watching the show ten million times gives a person beef with some true randomistas

10) Character you used to dislike but now like? tina! i think when i watched the show originally i fell into the trap of finding her incredibly irritating from late season 3 onward, and she is! but i now realize that that's a feature, not a bug.

17) Favorite canon couple? brittana!! my babygirls!! kinda the greatest friends to lovers story of all time. it's got trepidation, it's got secrecy, it's got jealousy. they break up and find their way back to each other! crucially, it has a happy ending. i also love the way santana is softened by brittany and the way brittany is more confident with santana. they just balance each other out so perfectly, and they're so cute and affectionate. girls of all time, truly.
