every time i'm like "wow that person seemed REALLY surprised when i implied i might have autism. am i making this up? is this all in my head, do i not have autism?" i JUST need to retake the CAT-Q. I score almost as high as you fucking can on the CAT-Q.

Hey just thought I’d let you know there’s this site called Embrace Autism that really helped me when I was thinking about doing a screening. It’s got quite a few tests you can do, with little notes on what other autistic people thought of them. The one I found really helpful was the CAT-Q test which is helpful if you unconsciously mask a lot, and hence get lower scores on other tests 👍

Hi! Hope you're well! You may have already like thought about this and this may be moot-- anyway The Venn diagram of ADHD and Autism is neat-- I agree!-- but the RAADs test is Specifically Looking For Autism Traits So yeah if you're scoring high on it (as you did) here's a place you can take more tests https://embrace-autism.com/autism-tests/
You are not obligated to take them but just in case!
This is one of the things I like think about a lot-- because there are so many people who get overlooked for autism AND for ADHD but like if you have one people sometimes think that you have to be only one when really there is a lot of evidence that people have both a lot of the time-- so I may be overstepping and I apologize if this makes you upset and you can delete the ask and I get it
This got long-- I'm gonna stop talking now, thanks!
hi random tumvlr person! i love you but those are not my tags !! different person !! wrong person !!
Interesting ask though

To the online autistic community,
On the off chance that you see this, I want to thank you all. Thank you for being brave enough and dedicated enough to share your experiences with complete strangers. Thank you for putting into plain, easy-to-understand terms how the terminology applies to real world situations; how stimming can be anything from tapping, playing the same song on repeat, any repetitive thing to release that pent-up energy, how sensory issues aren't the result of being melodramatic and fussy (just a couple of examples).
Thank you for helping so many others - including me - see that we aren't defective humans, that "normal" is not equivalent to being whole.
Thank you for being accepting of those of us who are yet undiagnosed (and who may stay that way for a while because the sources are often out of reach), helping us to feel like we belong.
Thank you for setting such wonderful examples of grace and love.
-All my love and gratitude, Rose Anderson
