I believe Kuai's experience in the Lin Kuei as a woman would be very similar to Lisa's, which means, it was TOUGH!

I write Lisa as being much more aggressive and emotion driven than Kuai, she's tough and quarrelsome, and much of that is due to growing up surrounded by men. She couldn't afford to be soft, or she would be deemed as weak and would most definitely be casted aside, bossed around, underestimated, you know... the regular.

So Lisa toughened herself up in order to stand her ground and assure her place among her fellow clansmen.

If anyone dared to deem her as inferior, she wouldn't hesitate in show just how strong and powerful she is!

As result, outside the Lin Kuei, she would be seen as short-tempered, unpredictable and overprotective. And it would take time and effort for getting her to let her walls down and make her trust people enough to let them see the caring and adventurous woman she is underneath it all!

It wouldn't be that different with Kuai, which means the calm and reasonable Kuai we all know and love would be buried under this tough exterior she would've to build around herself.

Regarding Hanzo...

My Scorpion!Harumi AU is highly inspired by the Legends movies, but unlike the movie, Harumi was not around when the massacre happened, I like to imagine Quan Chi actually took her back home and let her see the bodies. Imagine a LOT of screaming and crying and Harumi holding Satoshi's body onto dear life, hoping her embrace alone would be enough to bring him back to life. Imagine her crying of anguish slowly turning into a battle cry. She would demand Quan Chi to stick around long enough so she could bury their bodies and then, and only then, they would talk business...

Now think of Scorpion's Revenge. Remember when Hanzo found Harumi's body and went on a rampage in order to avenge her? See, here he did one thing a mother (and therefore his female self) would NEVER do: He left Satoshi alone. Which was precisely what caused him to be taken by Quan Chi!

See, if either Harumi or Fem!Hanzo were in this situation, they would've never left Satoshi's side!

As soon as she found her husband's body Harumi/Hanzo first move would be to either hide Satoshi or keep him close. Either way, she wouldn't let him leave her sight.

Which would highly affect the way she fights, she would be cornered easily and wouldn't be taken over by her anger as Hanzo allows himself to be, he focus would keep shifting between the fight and Satoshi and she would most likely end up more injured than Hanzo canonically was.

I believe Quan Chi would only be able to get Satoshi once Harumi/Hanzo would be dealt with, on the brink of death and unable to even stand!

Well, damn, that was dark...

Regarding Kuai and Hanzo's relationship with each other:

I believe it depends on Hanzo entirely!

If she already knows about Quan Chi (like in the Legends movies) then their relationship would go pretty much as it went in BOTR (and similarly enough as Lisa and Harumi's relationship goes)

Now, if she doesn't know and learns through Kuai (like in MKX) then their relationship would be much more difficult! Cause remember, Kuai is a hothead and wouldn't take Hanzo's attitude lightly!

Which means the whole tea scene in MKX would go faaaaaar less friendly, you bet Kuai would say stuff like "I don't like this more than you" and would need to gather all her strength to not straight up strangle Hanzo the moment she starts to badmouth Bi-Han and the Lin Kuei, bit not without letting slip a "for once in your life, shut the hell up and listen!"

One additional thing!

In MK9, Raiden makes that proposition to Hanzo where he would plead the Elder Gods to resurrect the Shirai Ryu if Hanzo spared Bi-Han’s life. Hanzo failed.

But Harumi/Fem!Hanzo wouldn't. I believe a mother would do everything to assure her child's safety, that includes look in the eyes of the man who destroyed her entire life and let him live. That would sting, that would eat her up alive, that would make her feel anger, regret, sorrow and guilt all at once, she would hear Quan Chi mock her endlessly for her "weakness" but that would mean nothing, as long as she got to see her baby boy once again...

This can unfold in SO many different ways!!

How would lesbian subscrop genderbend mk timeline work according to you since it is actually a canon timeline though the only person we know from it is Janet cage and she is awesome. Like would being women make their tragedies worse like being a child soldier is bad but being a girl and child soldier is definitely worse and losing a child is bad for both parents but would the grief be even worse for Hanzo if Hanzo was the one to carry to the child for 9 months. Also how would that affect their individual dynamic. @laismoura-art has a similar concept with their cryomancer Lian and Scorpion Harumi ship but how would genderbend subcorp dynamic work. Sorry if it's a bit weird I am just a sucker for lesbians

When I play with subscorp gender dynamics I'll usually make either one or both transmasc bc I am transmasc and its just more fun for me to project that onto them, yknow?

But genuinely, if you want lesbian subscorp Laismoura has you covered, cannot recommend that au highly enough
