WIP MEME ( Accepting ! )

↳ for every “🌹” received in my inbox i’ll post one random sentence of a random WIP i’m currently writing

Firstly , thank you so much for taking the time to send in not just one rose , but three !! I am not certain if this means three paragraphs sentences for one WIP or one paragraph sentence from three different WIPs , so I’ll just do the one WIP , but I went back a bit in my WIP list to find one that has Nyx & Noct in it because I know you like those two characters !

But please know this isn't currently an active wip & I am not certain when I will finish it , but some of it should see the light of a day I guess ?? & it's of characters you like so that's why I chose this one , so here is some paragraphs from it ! ^^

Milk. Sugar. Any discounted fruit.

The short shopping list was on repeat through Nyx’s head to ensure he kept to it as he perused the shelves of the local corner shop. It was just a few items he needed, but with shift in two hours and with the next three days on, he decided to stop by to get the bare essentials. The rest of his needed groceries could wait until he had time to go to the markets.

His basket already held a bag of rice and two Cup of Noodles. He just needed those last few items then he could run them home, change out of his civvies and into his uniform, then leave with enough time to walk to the Citadel.

Well, that had been the plan until he spotted an out-of-place yet very familiar figure down the aisle.

Despite the low sitting baseball cap that covered a majority of his dark hair, Nyx could easily identify Lucian’s Crown Prince. He stood with another figure who’d become a more frequent sight at his side in the recent months. A school friend of the Prince’s, something Argentum. Nyx, along with all of the posted guards, had received a notice about the boy’s approval to enter the Citadel as well as Prince Noctis’ flat without any trouble nor formal ID. Not something that’d been given to a civilian .

This was outlined to be a four part story with Nyx rescuing Noct & Prompto out of a bad situation ( i don't want to say just in case i do finish then ; i don't want to spoil a major plot point ^^’’ ) which then too doubles as Nyx getting to know Noct better since Nyx is Kingsglaive & not Crownguard thus in my own headcanons isn't around on a more personal level aside from formal events / training thus this story would have them coming to know each other on a more casual level ??? If that makes any sense …

For years I haven’t been able to participate much because I barely read any fics anymore, but Trigun has definitely changed that, so here it is! A rec list of every fic I’ve enjoyed so far! I have terrible memory and not enough brain power to leave a note about each one, but I put a ♡ next to every fic I particularly loved! Despite the blessing of eternally flaming feet, the subdued halls of the House of Hades often felt akin to a chill void to Prince Zagreus when the lingering presence of Death had been absent for too long. The cost of Lady Demeter's biting cold was coming due to the mortals of the surface and keeping Gentle Death busier than ever. Oh, how Zagreus longed to feel the embrace of his gentle Death once more.

Years must have passed since Than could even spare the time to visit him during one of his flights to the surface, let alone for them to be able to steal some meaningful time for themselves. Their longevity mattered not when there was precious little to distract him from missing his Than. Zagreus' heart ached, heavy and yearning, each time he emerged from the waters of the Styx and asked Hypnos if his twin had yet returned home, to be told each time the answer was no.

GUH-DONG!!

The bell that Zagreus had so desired to hear tolled from the west hall and the sound had the Prince tripping over himself in his efforts to get to the balcony with all haste, leaving a string of hasty apologies to the disturbed shades in his wake.

"Pardon me. Can I just squeeze—? Sorry. 'Scuse me, coming through."

Zagreus dashed into the hall as swift as his god-given feet could carry him only to be unable to take the corner with anything resembling grace. Skiding on the loose surface of the rug - currently displaying a cthonic design - he bounced off of the far wall, barely keeping upright as he stumbled onwards.

"Careful, lad." Achilles' voice rang across the open space, but Zagreus only had eyes for the god at the end of the hallway. He must reach his lover quickly before Thanatos had the chance to teleport away again. Silently he begged the Fates to hold the cutting of their threads for just a little longer so he could have a moment with his beloved.

Heart pounding with love and adrenaline, Zagreus rushed forward with far less finesse than he displayed while cutting his way through the denizens of his father's domain. His voice was tinged with desperation as he cried out, "Than!"

The typically somber counternance of Death broke into a dazzling smile as he turned to see the one who called for him. Thanatos' toes had barely touched down onto the thick pile of the rug commisioned especially for him by the Prince before Life, full of joy and giddy laughter, was in his arms and kissing him. Yes, this was just as things should be.

Warm, eager lips pressed against cool, tender ones, opening up and welcoming in as strong, calloused fingers slid into silk-soft silvery strands. The seconds drifted by as Life and Death indulged in one another, oblivious to all around them until the giggling from nearby shades caused them to part, but remaining close enough to rest their foreheads together.

"Welcome home, Than. I've missed you." Adoring looks were exchanged between golden and mis-matched eyes.

"Glad as I am to be greeted by you, Zag, your display makes it seem as if you were a mortal who feared his spouse gone forever."

"It's been years—"

Thanatos tutted and rolled his eyes. "There is no need to be so dramatic. Barely three months have passed on the surface since I was last here."

"It felt like forever to me." Zagreus proceeded to bestow gentle kisses along the line of his lover's jaw and gave a soft tug to the beautiful hair still wound around his fingers, pulling a groan of want from Than's throat and threatening to drag them both into a scene not fit for accidently prying eyes or ears. "How long do you have?"

"Evidently not enough to satisfy you," Thanatos smiled fondly.

"Then I suppose we better make the most of it." Zagreus' coy grin earned him a chuckle and in a flash of green light the pair were gone, leaving only the impression of wings behind to fade in the air.

How had he come to the point where his healthy respect for King Regis had twisted and shriveled down to nothing put pure, abject terror upon hearing the cold, callous sentence he’d been dreading for months? “How long have you been sleeping with my son?”

2nd Most Kudos: heaven's grief brings hell's rain, Vashwood, Hurt/Comfort - I'm actually quite surprised, given that this fic is not even six months old yet, that it's second in kudos only to Invited to Die, which took the entirety of it's seven year life to accumulate so many kudos... like what??

Vash wishes he couldn’t see so well in the dark, because he doesn’t want to see Wolfwood’s eyes now. He doesn’t want to see the whites of them shining in the dim embers of his cigarette. Wolfwood’s gaze fires rapidly between Vash’s broken wrist, his shaking legs, his caved-in shoulders trying to make himself small, and whatever Vash can’t hide on his face behind a faltering smile. Wolfwood stares, cigarette hanging from his lip, and slowly his fingers clench into fists, as if he could possibly know. - Vash escapes a harrowing ordeal. The wound it leaves upon him is not physical, but it hurts just as badly. Touch has always been a monster to him. Wolfwood desperately wants to prove it doesn't have to be.

WIP Tag Game

I got tagged by @amiyade, thank you!! ✨💖 I’ve seen the rules going around somewhere and it's something like post a list of your current writing projects. Followers are free to ask for more info on any of them, like which characters feature, snippets, extra details, etc. Remember how I said I'm trying to take it easy on myself and not drown myself in WIPs since I'm getting back into actually being productive ahahahahaha yeaaaah *drowns self in WIPs* SO, not a complete list of WIPs, but some things I'm currently focusing on the most. I think I’ve mentioned like most of them anyway lol, BUT HERE WE ARE: 1. The Memory of You (FFXV) -- honestly, this is probably my favouritest fic of mine, which is dumb I know since you'd think I'd have finished it then lol. For those who don't know, Noct and Ardyn are physically de-aged into children (around 7 and 10 years old) by a daemon and are trapped on their own in Cleigne. They have to work together to travel across the country to Hammerhead, where Noct's friends are, but, of course, there are a few hiccups along the way. Enemies-to-friends, Ardyn!redemption, an adventure fic with some cute things, some angsty things and some scary things. MUCH FRIENDSHIP. It now has a playlist on spotify which just makes me feel things instead of write things lmao. I love this fic okay shhhhhhhhh. 2. [title redacted] (FFXV) -- a hurt!Noct body horror fic. After a daemon hunt goes wrong, and after having a strange sudden fever, Noctis begins to descend into “madness”. Nightmares, paranoia, hallucinations, the lot. His friends are majorly concerned about his mental state, but Noctis is convinced there's something more to it. If this fic had a soundtrack it’d be like all synthwave and shit, and yes of course that’s an important detail lmaooo 3. nemo (FFXV) -- daemonised-imperial-weapon!Noct. Pre-game, canon divergence and all that. Noctis has been transformed and brainwashed into killing for the empire, he's seen as a feral beast and a mindless killing machine, Ardyn is a little too obsessed with him, and there's a secret plot to rescue and bring Noctis back home. 4. Conceal (working title) (FFXV) -- a simple one-shot of bros taking care of Noctis, who has been poisoned and has a fever, basically because I wanted more warm and concerned Gladio lmao. Basically just a caretaking fic. 5. What the Shadows Hide (working title) (Merlin) -- an assassin is loose in Camelot and Arthur has been cursed to lose each of his senses one by one. Featuring a lot of angst on Arthur's part as he struggles to cope with becoming far too physically vulnerable for his liking, and awesome-servant!Merlin who tries his best to help. 6. untitled Merlin/Mordred (Merlin) -- listen Merthur is my otp, and this fic is just in the planning/daydreaming stages, but I am SO EMOTIONALLY INVESTED in this fic idea for some reason and I just need to acknowledge that it exists okay, basically S5 AU where Merlin decides to give Mordred a chance, tells Mordred about his fated role in Arthur's death, and then it's a long journey of becoming friends and then more, which Merlin struggles with because it feels like a betrayal to Arthur and Mordred is like STFU you’re dumb and we're both loyal to him. Anyway basically: good!Mordred, enemies-to friends-to lovers, secret relationship, two sneaky adorable sorcerers trying their best to protect their king and each other ANYWAY I think I'll stop there lol because we'll be here forever. I have a ton of Merlin ideas written down but I’m not actively working on them yet, there are a couple of new FFXV ideas that I've kept off this list because the subjects are heavy, and my Supernatural ideas are currently all variations of Sam recovering from Hell trauma (except the big Silent Hill inspired fic which consists of powerful psychic Sam AND hell trauma). ANYWAAAAAAAAAAAAY. I’m gonna gently tag @breakfastteatime @deducitetemporacarmen @kaelinaloveslomaris @every-lemon @glaivenoct @marmolita but no pressure. FFXV RARE PAIR ZINE: INFO AND DONATING

Good morning, everyone!

The FFXV Rare Pairs Zine will start sending out on October 29th, 2018! Remember, this is a PDF only zine, there are no physical copies. This is to assure 100% of all money made from this goes to the charities that we say they are. So, as I said in an earlier post, we are doing this a bit unconventional!

How can you get a zine?

All you have to do is to make a donation to that charity for $10.00 or more, and send us a copy of your receipt or screenshot of the completed donation! There are also charities for the EU fans who wish to support a charity that helps in Europe.

S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?

Hm, any type of romantic tropes, love at first sight, lost loves, reunions, etc… I’m a romantic at heart, so I love those types of things.

W: Do you like more general prompts or more specific ones?

I love any type of prompts, to be honest. I love when someone likes my writing enough that they want to prompt me and see what I do with it. That said, I do love prompts that give me a bit of freedom like single word or sentence prompts!  :)

F: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

Ok, I have gotten this type of question many times from other fic asks type questionnaires. Usually, I always post the same scene, but I will mix it up this time and pick something that a bit newer! 

As for why I am proud of it. It’s setting up this world within the present day that these other didn’t even know existed. They didn’t know anyone could speak to the gods, but the Oracle, they didn’t know about the holiday’s that Noctis celebrated. As he said earlier in the story this is from, their world has been tainted by lies. He is showing them truths. So, as odd as it is for Noctis to get used to their world, he can still blow their minds lol.  I love it. :)

Bowing his head, Noctis made his way to the altar of Titan as the other four remained a few feet behind him. They stood there quietly when suddenly one of the most lovely tenors Nyx had ever heard exited the man's lips and echoed through the chamber. It created a reverberation within the room that was one of the oddest sounds the man had heard in his life. Orange, yellow and brown gems within the walls pulsed with power. The room glowing bright and dim as Noctis continued the song that had no words, and yet seemed to speak volumes. Then the trembling came, it wasn’t a violent crash but a gentle rocking that seemed to sweep through the room then recede.

“Nu mañ vaju jachu fax chadañ!”

The deep voice seemed to come from everywhere, and yet there was no presence other than the five of them. Looking upon the altar, Noctis held the cup up with both hands. “It is I, Noctis Lucis Caelum. First son of Regis Lucis Caelum, the Third King of Lucis. Blessed of Shiva, Beholden to the Goddess Etro, who reigns over life and death.” A rumbling occurred once again as the four looked at one another, but the Prince didn’t falter in his words. “Chosen of the crystal to become the King of Kings, that our light may forever shine and see the scourge, and the accursed be abated!” His words were greeted with silence, dark eyes closing. “I have come seeking your blessing upon the fall equinox, as all of my blood have done since the rise of Solheim. Will you accept?”

It seemed as if they were holding their breath, the stones around them continuing to pulse with power. But it was the silence that reigned.

“Noctis.” Nyx went to move, an odd feeling filling him, telling him that he should be at the man's side. Seeing the prince shake his head, Nyx stayed where he was.

“I have done all you urged.” His words were a whisper, but the room amplified them. “I know I have failed once, and the Gods saw fit to take all I knew away!” Noct’s voice hitched, eyes squeezing closed. “I have nothing left but the prophecy that the Gods placed upon my shoulders as a child. I will fulfill my calling, but you must have faith in me!”

Once again there was silence, and then a rumbling. “Gud…”

Letting out a shaky sigh of relief, Noctis nodded and drank from the cup in his hands. The other four did as well. “God of Earth, Archaeon, mighty Landforger. I beseech you to recognize this offering for it is all I am and all I will ever be.” Setting the dirt on the altar, he opened up the cloth it had been wrapped in, then grabbed his knife. “The land that I preserve, the people that I have been sworn to safeguard.” Wrapping his hand around the blade, he pulled quickly as blood flowed from his closed fist onto the dirt. “The blood of my line, the name of Lucis Caelum that was granted to us by the crystal. This I give to thee, Titan Lord of the Lands.”

¡¡ potential spoiler warning !! this is from my latest wip revolving round the finale of star wars the bad batch because it had me so very devastated & thus i had to begin writing something for it. nothing too heavy here because i don't want to give too much away since this will be posted soon but here's the most recent but i wrote :

' When he next came to, there was a cacophony of noise around him. The exchange of blaster fire resounded throughout the corridors, the signature discharge sounds from the weapons as well as the pinging searing when they struck a bulkhead or one of the crates they were using as cover. The thud of plastoid covered bodies hitting the deck plating from the other side came at various intervals. As did the blossoming alarm of dispatched and armed droid poppers.

He was lent against the unyielding carbon-scored surface of someone's armour, sitting between their knelt legs whilst his upper body laid against the armour of their torso. They were crouched in a kneeling position to shield Crosshair with a bent knee and an arm wrapped around his side as their other hand held a decee that they periodically used to fire over the stacked line of crates they were using as cover. '
