Owari no Seraph - Chapter 143 Thoughts

Well, the official english chapter came out! Gotta say it was pretty good. Of course, such opinion might change depending on context and interpretation.

6 days ago, I shared an analysis about the chapter and since I've seen two special people sharing an update, why not join the fun?

If you want to check the analysis, go take a look. But let's focus on the english version, shall we?

P.S: As usual, thoughts, theories and analysis always remain neutral. Ships are excluded.

1. Ky Luc

The first question that pops thanks to the chapter is why Ky Luc's fingers remained. This is actually easy following the logic on how vampires become demons or are bound to cursed gears.

In contrast to other vampires who usually wield swords to attack and make their attacks stronger; let's recall that there are exceptions to this rule. Those being Queen Krul Tepes whose sword was Arukanu

And Ky Luc, being the 5th progenitor. What do I mean?

Let's recall how Ky Luc made his sword, shall we?

Back in chapter 55 when Ky Luc's powers were displayed, he relied on his ring to draw blood. But in contrast to what could be believed, the sword he used was all formed thanks to his own blood instead of other vampire weapons that heavily rely on physical swords. Ky Luc's attacks always were directed on his own blood. Such fact is visible in the cover.

Therefore, as it may sound grim, that's the simple reason as to why there were two fingers left to become cursed gears. (How exactly will they work, mayhaps they'll be fused with Mitsuba's current weapon, I'll detail that later).

2. Reincarnation or Memory Mix

Another detail that cannot go dismissed is how the squad appeared during a flashback...or was it really a flashback?

What do I mean?

First of all, let's retake one thing Shinoa states as Ky Luc's flashback starts. She states she's absorbing his memories, which means said memories are becoming part of her. As she keeps devouring those memories, Ky Luc's most prominent memory is when he discusses with Urd about Urd's dream, then several kids that resemble the squad pass by.

But, are they the previous lives of the squad or substitutes as Shinoa keeps learning about Ky and Urd?

For this, let's remember one special detail. Yuu couldn't be there given that he was made through the homunculi Shikama kept. The last time we saw about Shikama, the third progenitors as demons, the corpse of Mikaela and Yuu was back in chapter 105.

And considering that the events of the flashbacks between Urd and Ky take place in Europe at an unknown time like the moments of the First with his demons, are at an unknown time. A former Yuu can't be the one running there, meaning that the kids running are images or NPC taking the aspects of the squad given that Ky Luc's memories are becoming part of Shinoa.

3. Humans and Vampires

As @nono-uwu and @distinguished-slacker mentioned on their respective posts (make sure to read their post!); let's not forget the difference between humans and vampires. During the beginning of the current story (after the LNs and very first arcs of OnS) there was a heavy grudge between humans and vampires, it was seen how vampires would kill humans out of fun or for drinking them way before they were caught and taken to the Vampire Capital.

Thus, it's not that Shinoa is being just evil or that she's a sadist; but it's a fact. Vampires and humans were in a constant war until the Vampire Progenitors managed to take control of Shibuya, beating Kureto Hiragi and Shinya easily until they managed to escape.

It was well known that one would be the last day for a soldier, other, the day a vampire would meet its end.

Furthermore, let's remember something else, what could it be?

Humans given their grude, the way then perceive vampires is one sided, which means, they are prone to believe vampires chose such path out of joy when it's the latter. How can I say this?

Easy, this lies the very moment Shinoa cries after keeping with Ky's turning.

Given that Shinoa is constantly letting her human emotions flow, she's experiencing more, she's experiencing that the Vampire Progenitors that were their enemies in such an endless war; they too, when they were humans suffered and endured a lot of pain. Hence why when she cries, she sees that Ky's human side is filled with too much grief. Hence why not just her but her teammates are learning that even their enemies were once humans that carried their battles.

5. Mitsuba

One of the things that wasn't expected was that Mitsuba's cursed gear would be upgraded to a Black Demon. Plot wise it may seem weak and of course, I can't justify the author given that there were many opportunities that were sadly dismissed. Nevertheless, the very fact that Mitsuba will receive her own black demons leads to a possibility, what do I mean?

Do you remember the requirements for Black Demons?

Correct. Only the candidates to wield black cursed gear, must have gone through special experiments.

This opens the possibility for Mitsuba to have actually been another test subject for unknown experiments.

Furthermore, given that Mitsuba and Ky Luc have one thing in common, what could it be? Correct. They haven't found a reason to live yet. But in contrast to the vampire progenitor, Mitsuba will likely find one for her own.

Notes: Ooooooohhhh I loved this request! And thank you so much for reading my fics I’m so so glad you enjoyed them! I really hope this meets your expectations, I had fun writing this hehe. I almost made it angst but I thought yknow Zhongli needs some love. you need some love. we all need love. 🫶

You can no longer feel the wind on your face. The ever-changing skies look all the same to you, and days are a blur. As one of the sole remnants of Khaenri’ah, you are cursed with immortality. You feel more like a shadow than a person, as you drift from place to place, always going in circles. No home, no place to welcome you, no one to welcome you. It truly is a curse.

Or so you used to think.

The water softly lapped at the Liyue docks, shimmering with the glow from laterns. It was a warm evening, and the city was still very much awake. Storytellers could be heard, along with chatter and din from restaurants and merchant stands. Morax couldn’t help the smile forming. Even after all the years he’s lived, he still finds joy in seeing his nation prosper, even if it isn’t really his nation anymore. The peace and life that he fought so hard for now being enjoyed by countless people, tourists and locals alike. And he has all eternity, lest erosion take him, to revel in its tranquility.

As a god, and as a man, he enjoys the simple things in life. Things that make him look forward to each day, like mundane conversations with interesting wanderers, or a new blend of tea. Or, in this particular moment, both.

“Do you travel often, Mr. Zhongli?” You blow on the hot tea, pausing another moment for good measure, before carefully sipping.

“I’m afraid not. This land is… sentimental to me. From the harbour to the jagged mountains, I could not bear to be separated with Liyue for long.” He replies, taking a sip of his own tea. It’s a delightful blend, the light jasmine subtle, but just floral enough to give an exquisite aftertaste, and bittersweet enough to go for another sip.

“I understand, it’s hard to be away from home.”

“Do feel homesick often?”

“I do. Or I used to.” In truth, you don’t even remember what you’re homesick for. Or why you should miss it. It feels so long, that nowhere is your home, that you don’t even know how to miss home.

“You’re very interesting. I enjoy talking with you. You have an undeniable sense of knowledge and wisdom, and I would love to speak more with you.”

And so you did. Evening walks became frequent, then a habit. And soon your days were spent with him too. Part of you wanted to move on, it felt wrong to linger, like you were breaking some unspoken rule. You needed to wander, to drift in the shadows. But you didn’t want to, you didn’t need to. The though of parting with Zhongli felt even worse than staying, like you could not bear to separate with him. Like he was home.

And despite the rumours about Zhongli, and despite his sometimes too specific questions, neither of you have disclosed your identities. But time passes, and neither of you age. You are the same as the day he met you, though he swears more spirited and radiant than ever. He is the same as the day you met him, his eyes still glow, but burn even brighter.

“It’s time I discuss something with you.” He declares as he brings the fresh pot of tea to the coffee table in front of you. Fear washes over you, and you momentarily feel the urge to wander, to be a shadow, to run away. But you are not a ghost anymore, you’ve learned how to love and be loved, how to be real. So you force your eyes to meet his. And you see your fear reflected.

“I am sorry to have kept this from you so long my dear, but I had doubts and fears that you have since washed away. I am, or was, the Geo Archon, Rex Lapis, or Morax if you prefer. But I am at the same time Zhongli, just as I always have been.” Your breath was held, and it still held until you manage to process his words. His calm face betrays the gnarling sensation in his gut. Suddenly he is at war again, but he is not confident in victory. And even worse, he is afraid to lose.

He desperately tries to find any sign of hope as he looks at you, only to be let down. His heart shatters, falling apart piece by piece. Like a stone crumbled beneath the piercing of his spear. But your face softens as you think over what he says, as you understand, as you realize.

“I know that you are mortal, and that one day-“ He begins, voice strained.

“You couldn’t have made me happier, than with the words you just said.” You reply, so consumed with joy that his anxious rambling flies over your head. “I have a secret too. Not anything proud like yours, but in this moment that doesn’t matter. I am immortal too, one of the cursed remnants from Khaenri’ah. But despite your godhood, and despite my past, it feelings like a blessing.” Your voice is light, your body is light. You feel like you’re floating, though your eyes water and your heart wrenches, a bliss spreads through you.

“I love you.” His arms hold you tightly, tight like a vow. His words calm you, and you relax in his touch. Through all the wars he fought, all the destruction he wrought, he wonders how it could have led to such a wonderful thing. How sins and a curse could be a blessing. But he merely smiles to himself as he thinks, it must be the power of love.

Jaded the two of you may be, but fools in love also. And you remember what it’s like to have a home. You remember what’s it’s like to live in the light, and to be seen. And it’s more wonderful than anything you’ve experienced. All the grief and despair you lived through, only now to have a promise of love for eternity. Just as there is always a sun to chase away the night, there is always joy and love to overcome hard times.

Meet You at the Blossom

Is this a good drama, objectively? No. Did I have a great time regardless? Hell yes!

Summary from Mydramalist: Jin Xiaobao, the son of the wealthiest man in the Jiangnan region, falls in love with icy, white-clothed beauty Huai’en due to an unexpected meeting. This young woman he sees as his future wife, however, seems to have aroused a lot of enmity. When he comes to the rescue of an injured Huai’en, who's tainted by an aphrodisiac, the true identity of this beauty is revealed.

Haphazard notes and thoughts, crossposted from my Dreamwidth:

This drama is actual BL, thanks to being produced in Thailand! By my standards, it’s very tame – there’s kisses and fade-to-black sex scenes (not in that order, lol) – but the fact that it’s explicitly gay is very refreshing for a Chinese drama.

The main couple: Bisexual King Jin Xiaobao is a delightfully air-headed and well-meaning person. He lives a pampered lifestyle with simple aspirations - his main goal in life seems to be spending time with various beauties, but he does have a sense of duty/chivalry. Not used to censoring himself, he’s very earnest and speaks his mind openly. Zongzheng Huai’en is Jin Xiaobao’s foil: Cunning and manipulative, he hides his thoughts and intentions and doesn’t mind underhanded tactics. He’s also an unhinged maniac. His actor has great control of his facial expressions (which is as good as the acting here gets). Initially, Huai’en uses Xiaobao to achieve his own ends, but we all know how these things go, hehe. He falls for Xiaobao entirely against his will, but he falls hard. Xiaobao is just immediately smitten. I kinda wish there was just a little more complexity to it from his side as well, but they’re cute. Xiaoboao does get a simple “growing up” personal arc, though.

The supporting characters are fun, too. Both of the mains have two retainers each, their personalities befitting their masters’. The grumpy miracle doctor gets to be a side pairing with one of them. Xiaobao’s parents are also important characters, and ended up more complex than I initially thought.

The show’s tone is light and goofy. It’s not quite a parody, but pokes fun at and plays with lots of tropes. The underlying story could have worked with a more serious execution as well (if you add some subtlety and polish), which is always a good sign. Xiaobao’s developing maturity arc has some genuinely good moments. Once he has grown, he cannot go back, and he knows this. He refuses to return to the person he used to be, even when it would be convenient and everyone wants him to. That he of all people is the one to strive ever forward would have been unthinkable at the beginning of his story.

I actually loved this drama. It was mindless, cheesy fun that doesn’t overstay its welcome at 12 episodes. The story is 100% predictable and kinda stupid. The budget was low. It’s very obvious the creators knew exactly what they were aiming for, and in my opinion they did deliver. No need to reinvent the wheel - in the first episode, we immediately set the mood via crossdressing and sex pollen, and it’s super trope-y in general. Thankfully I’m not sensitive to second-hand embarrassment, because Xiaobao really is dumb, and Huai’en is smart only in comparison to him.

One detail I appreciated was long hair actually (almost) getting in the way. The characters do little movements, like holding hair out of the way while sitting or lying down, that make it seems they’re used to the length.

My humor is definitely not for everyone, it's mostly the humor of a 12 y/o kid which can be annoying to some people lmao (sometimes it's funny how people are annoyed by it) and some other things depending on how I feel. When it comes to annoyance I also like to annoy people <3 it's so fun! But I never want to make them really feel bad! Often I act like an asshole but this is just for jokes! (but sometimes I wanna be a real asshole lmao) Like I said I don't want them to actually feel bad, if I do, I will feel very guilty! When it comes to it I apologize A LOT, I apologize so much that it might too annoying but I always feel a sense of guilt inside of me. I'm also VERY sensitive and worry about everything. I LOVE LOVE horror and scary things, I can't imagine my life without it, its just a such interesting genre that makes me happy and intrigued! interestingly, idt jing yuan gets sick often, and i don't either. but i'd like to think that he still pesters over me because i used to get sick every year for basically the entire winter up until i was 11-12 yrs old, and he's worried my immune system will just... collapse.

so when i do get sick, i think he's really worried. but he def makes an effort to hide it because i get easily stressed out when i'm under the weather, and he doesn't want his worry to convert into negativity.

that being said, he doesn't really know how to help me get better. and that's fine, really, because at the end of the day, i just sleep and eat a lot lol

if it's my first time getting sick in front of him, i literally think he'd call bailu over and take the hours off as bailu checks on me. but more than likely, it's probs a smol cough or fever, so bailu will just tell him to get me congee and make ginger + brown sugar water.

on workdays, i wouldn't let him stay at home, unless he truly doesn't have a lot of work to attend to. otherwise, if i'm feeling ill over the weekend, we'd literally just stay in bed all day. maybe a lil stroll after lunch, just so i can get some movement in, but he'd be holding me by the elbow and waist to make sure i don't trip or fall or anything.

not much talking, in general. i'd like our relationship to be more... knowing in a sense? i think we value our own independence, and that kind of carries through even in times when we are together. but don't confuse silence with a lack of familiarity! i think jing yuan would be very attentive to my needs - he'd notice the slightest wince or any effort i make to try to hold back my coughs. he knows that we're both tired anyway, and it's these moments of tranquility that allow us to fully be ourselves. there's no need to put on airs or make up lies, it's just us, not judging and not needing and not expecting.

also a lot of reading. usually, it's me reading to him at night – something more whimsical and fantastical or even educational – as long as it has nothing to do with the luofu. but when i'm sick, he takes over. it's just me lying on his chest as he narrates, and i'm pretty sure i'd fall asleep to the steady beat of his heart and his gentle, soothing voice.

the only slight concern is that even when i'm sick, we're still physically touching in some way. so i'm always a little worried that he'll get sick, but alas, one should never underestimate the sturdiness of a war general.

it's especially comforting if i'm sick in the winter because i strongly believe he's perpetually running very, very hot. mm... the thought of jing yuan in the summer... wearing thin linens... aNYWAY!!

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character. God honestly for Richie i always wavered on his fashion choices. Like i don't see him as utterly incompetent, he's aware of fashion. He just enjoys to wear colorful, usually warm colored clothes. Marketing says it helps make his audience find him funnier when he wears bright "happy" colors. But i do think he enjoys them, but at home he's a t-shirt and sweats kinda guy. Its kind of depressing seeing him go from such a silly button up to simple tee's and pj pants with yoda slippers. He definitely enjoys patterns though, probably wishes he could break from the "warm color" aesthetic Steve is so consistent about, maybe throw in a little purple! God and he'd wear bowling shirts too, i hate this man.

presenting: ✨ jingfu vegas wedding ✨

there was a time i got back into asoiaf and jaime/brienne, and there's this subgenre of jb fics where they get quickly married on the quiet isle for one reason or another! and i just got obsessed with this type of wedding, and then i got to thinking about vegas weddings, and then i imagined jingfu drunk and giggly and happy and my gdocs stood NO chance

what's great about jingfu is, as i hope to never stop reminding my readers, is that they're chinese living in a chinese setting wifh chinese culture. so you can't just throw them into an actual vegas wedding situation—china has its own wedding ceremonies and the luofu must have its own technological advancements in that area too! so long story short i had a lot of fun brainstorming the wedding rituals and how it would mesh with the luofu, how people would even discover a wedding has taken place considering chinese weddings CAN technically be done without witnesses if you're feeling quirky enough (like maybe legally it's not allowed but ive seen cdramas where they do the same thing so like. me 🤝 cdramas; ignoring things for dramatic flair), and generally just trying to write their world vividly enough that it doesn't feel like Vague American Fantasy Spaceship #2432

i do think i kinda succeeded!! and even if i didn't, well, in my head i can clearly visualize it and in the end this is a fic for ME and not for yall, sorry but i come first when it comes to my fanfic :P

also i wrote my thoughts on the au while we were out with paternal relatives eating hotpot, so of course their drunken wedding feast is hotpot. i couldn't resist

In one of Fu Xuan’s many closets were the robes they’d worn to Qixi-jie—his a simple but elegant grey trimmed with white, and hers a dainty pink, complete with a round embroidered fan. Fu Xuan took Jing Yuan’s out, shoved it into his arms, and then shoved him out. He staggered out into the hallway, and then turned to blink at her, lost.

Fu Xuan rolled her eyes. “Well? What are you waiting for?”

“Oh,” Jing Yuan said. The light came back into his eyes. “Oh! Yes.”

Stupid, she thought, and closed the door. But apparently she’d said it out loud, because he yelled, muffled, “You’re the one marrying me!”

“I won’t if you don’t shut up!” Fu Xuan yelled back.

i dont consider myself a very skilled artist yet, and im also not an art student, but im willing to give some (personal) tips i learned along the journey i went through in making art!

(assuming anon means art in general not comics)

1. (this is obvious but some actually dont do this, ok tbh even i dont because im lazy lol) watch tutorials from the internet, like youtube. there are a lot of videos available there from pro artists!

2. practice anatomy first, or linearting. you can start learning more about rendering later. if you want to focus more on making pretty but simple art, then you should study how to draw anatomy decently first, then you can just use some flat colors if youre not confident yet or still practicing your rendering! because from what i observed from my past artworks, detailed rendering doesnt do much if the anatomy and lineart aren't done well TT (anatomy doesnt have to be accurate by the way, as long as it looks aesthetically pleasing to the eyes youre good! imo at least)

3. steal some processes from other artists, then mix it with your own. it helps in experimenting and building your own style that you find comfortable to do! but you dont really have to find a specific style, you can draw inconsistently, if that's what makes you enjoy art! dont pressure yourself in finding a style, take your time! it even took me almost a decade to find mine (yes i just found a style im satisfied with recently that i can actually make consistently TT)

4. for rendering, im not confident in giving tips regarding it yet, because im still struggling with lighting and such. but im willing to share my process next time with images! just ask again if youre interested ^^

5. the most important part, have fun with the process! this sounds cliche, but to me this is what my goal is currently. i used to enjoy making them so much when i started, so im doing my best to feel happy with the process again, not only focusing on the result! also i believe in [happy process = good result] hehe

4 = Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?

This is a tricky one. Usually I would think of a genre or style, which I probably had just consumed media from, and the idea appears with whatever characters or OCs I was working with. Other times, I'd take a small piece or theme – like a magic 'moral' compass or the phrase 'snake charmer' – and then expand on it. That's how I managed to think of this HUGE two-part fantasy series I've been working on for years (which contains that magical moral compass) and the Sanders Sides one-shot the Prince and the Snake Charmer I wrote a few years ago. It's really crazy. Either way, it's always been intentional. In my opinion, inspiration hardly ever happens in the subconscious or by accident.

16 = How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

Oh-ho. Oh boy. Not counting many, many, short stories, around 4 or so. Including one-shots in that would only result in casualties (me). Uh, but, one of the multi-chapter fics is a two-part Sanders Sides fantasy/magic AU, abbreviated 'KFAM', that I've taken way too far and way too seriously. Not gonna lie, I've been writing it for LITERALLY FOUR YEARS. Never posted. Only wrote. And edited. It's driving me crazy. Maybe one day I will put it on Ao3 for a few kudos but for now it's never going to see the light of day

18 = Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

Usually during. For me the title represents the thematic content of the fic and not just my initial idea/prompt. As for how, unless the title is something simple on purpose (like 'The Prince and the Snake Charmer'), I actually do take a lot of time naming e v e r y t h i n g. My fic/chapter titles tend to be symbolic of what happens, foreshadow something, or make a pun. I do a lot of research. It's like a puzzle!

One of my favorite chapter titles (for KFAM) is 'The Inevitable': In chapter A, a character who lives on a certain island describes the weather, and says 'thunder booms overhead, foreshadowing the inevitable', referring to yet another oncoming storm. A few chapters later, there's a chapter literally called 'The Inevitable' where the characters out a sea get wrecked on that same island because of that same storm. Hehe.

54 = What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

When things start falling into place. ITS SO GOOD. I also really enjoy when all the planning I put in and the little clever bits I randomly thought of make the story really compelling and interesting, that's also the best.

Another fun thing that happened recently was seeing all my years of progress. I re-wrote a chapter that, a long time ago, I'd always considered one of my 'best' or 'most powerful' pieces of writing. I re-wrote it and it was a million times better and that was insane. It made me feel really accomplished. I highly recommend re-writing and comparing new to old work for fun! Very Satisfying, 10/10.

1. Your top 5 however many reads of 2023

This is really difficult to answer so I'll cheat just like you and ramble on a bit hehe

Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku by Hiro is the one I started the year with, finally, after watching the anime the year before. I love how it depicts the joy and beauty in everyday life, the art is stunning, the girls are super cute, and I'm here for the lesbian undertones that's become its own serious storyline by now!!!

I have a very soft spot for River's Edge by Kyoko Okazaki. This year I delved into josei manga for a good bit, and River's Edge is the first one I read (this year, purposefully). I love the sketchy art, the imperfect people, and the realness of the story. I don't know if I'll like it as much on a second read, but I was very impressed and inspired by my first time reading it. Other impactful josei works I read this year were Shibou to Iu Na no Fuku wo Kite and Bikachou Shinshi Kaikoroku by Moyoco Anno. I love reading about women and women's struggles :') Her art is gorgeous too! Oh and speaking of gorgeous art, a third josei highlight from this year was Kaoru Fujiwara. I did not consume her works, I let Sono Saki no Fuukei consume me. I love how it forces the reader to think and how it doesn't really open up until a second or third read-through. It was very dreamlike, and tragic with some uncomfortable themes, just the way I like it heh.

Out of all the yuri I read, Yume no Hashibashi by Yumi Sudou is the one that still lingers in my mind. I loved the construction of the story with each chapter going backwards in time, to finally reveal the tragic past of the sorrowful lives we've been following all along. The story is extra hurtful, because there are countless of stories like theirs in real life, of women who can't be with the women they love because of social, cultural and legislative reasons. I cried by the time I finished reading it!

Another manga that left a big impression on me was Hiraeth wa Tabiji no Hate by Yuhki Kamatani. The art and imagery were amazing, and I'm weak to stories about death and grief. The conclusion made me cry - to have such small and seemingly simple things in life be the reason you decide to keep on living!

Lastly, this has also been the year where I began reading Shuuzou Oshimi's manga. The first one I picked up was Okaeri Alice, and the latest I read was Chi no Wadachi, and they're both my favourites from his works. I love how deep they delve into the characters mindsets, I love the themes, and of course the art is pleasing to look at. I especially love how much of the stories are conveyed through images alone. They hit deeper when you have to read an expression rather than words.

6. Your favorite one-shot

I only read a couple of one-shots this year (that I've tracked anyway) so it's easy to give this one to Koufuku no Hato by Keiko Takemiya, a short sequel to Kaze to Ki no Uta (as if that series hasn't given me brain damage and it couldn't be my favorite otherwise).

7. The manga you reread the most

Probably Sono Saki no Fuukei, I read it, then I instantly read it again, and then I read it a third time the next day, just to experience the story again while trying to make more sense of it. I really, really loved that one!

Otherwise I haven't been rereading anything that much. Maybe Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu by Mokumokuren, since I read each chapter in Japanese, then a quick English translation and then a proper English translation later on. ...Now that I think about it, I have actually reread everything that's been published so far a few times last year, and I would've loved to reread it even more, but for some reason it takes suuuuuper long for the chapters/pages to load and I can't bother waiting half the time? It's a crime, honestly.

I've also reread the last few chapters of Double by Ayako Noda a few times, whenever I check if there are any new ones out. Same for Happy Shitty Life by Harada, although it's been so long I've gotten tired of them by now haha. Besides that, I have been rereading Harada a good amount, but it's usually bits and pieces here and there, not full works so it's difficult to estimate how much I've reread them.

12. A manga that made you look forward to every update

Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu is legitimately what keeps me going from one week to the next ;___; I love that manga so much!!!!

I also always make sure to savour each new chapter of Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku. I haven't figured out if that series has a release schedule, and if it does the releases are far and few, so it's always a treat to get one. And now with the aforementioned lesbian storyline I'm even more eager to see what the next chapter will bring!!!
