still thinking about aku and gin joining the sheep au. where chuuya and aku both end up in the mafia after the events of fifteen but gin is left behind. aku thinks gin was killed and gin believes aku freely chose to leave them despite promising to come back. gin ends up with the ada. they're offered a position working as a clerk and ranpo is like no.. they should be a detective. even though they don't have an ability. but everyone trusts ranpo's judgment, so gin gets to be a detective. they rarely speak and don't say much about their past beyond the fact that they're an orphan and grew up in the slums but they're a very diligent worker

and then a year or so into their employment, dazai shows up. the same dazai who took gin's brother away from them. his past is a mystery to everyone else and there's seemingly no record of him previously existing but gin knows who he is. how could they ever forget
