#i........... i really should start this show YES. You should 1000% watch Succession. So much television nowadays looks gorgeous and well polished, but it covers (increasingly poorly) for bad writing, and even the best actors can only do so much to sell it. I've become really tired of this. The last tv show that met this bar for me was The Terror, and that was only 1 season, so it didn't require the heavy lifting of a multi-season show.

Succession is, in my opinion, one of the best written shows in the modern television era. It's truly a masterclass on how to craft an intertwined ensemble piece, each with their own show-don't-tell backstory, and deliver on subtle yet powerful story arcs every single season, each one building on the previous.

Also ... I will be obsessively watching the fourth (and last) season when it comes out, so you might want to mute my posts starting March 26th ^_^

Okay, so to confess the truth, I did start Succession once, but like the first 8 minutes (there was some team meeting and both Ken and Roman were bringing their A-game) were soooo second-embarrassment heavy for me at that moment that I couldn't go on. (I know some stuff thanks to Tumblr osmosis, and I think I would like it - I do really wanna see Gerri in action, for a silly example.)

(I also wanted to start The Terror, but I'm very-very afraid of that, to tell the truth! I tried to Google it without spoiling everything, but even like that, I'm terrified that Terror'll fuck me up in bad way. 😄)

You present a very convincing argument, for real, I also thirst for layered and smart shows, with complex characters. So…. March 26th, the new season starts… So… Potentially, if I, say, binged all the three seasons - which I totally have the time for - I could get in on the new action 👀? Interesting.

This is the Irish Lullaby Blanket by Rebecca Stylings on etsy. I used 30 balls of Hue & Me yarn, 4110 yards, and it took me maybe four months of work altogether? I took a break over the summer because it was too hot to work on.

It was a lot of fun! I learned how to read crochet charts! It helped me troubleshoot another pattern I've been struggling with! I would like to do it again, but with a lighter weight for my own wrist health!
