“Rrrrribb-BUT. Papeeno thought A Snack At Best would may-bee like some snacks, and!! ET CETERA! Papeeno spent four yesterdays think-king about what snacks 2 give. lotsa good options, ribbit."

Well, that would explain the… interesting contents that The Banan’ (with a plan) had just unwrapped.

Let’s go through the list, shall we?

Papeeno’s gift to Banana, all jumbled together in one melted amalgamation, includes: handfuls of shredded mozzarella cheese, hard candies, dirt, gummy worms, Mystery Meat, potato chips, peanut butter, jelly, thyme, whole eggs, bacon strips, three different flavors of cotton candy (a helpful suggestion from Papeeno's big sister CC, from Italy!), and… it isn’t really clear what’s making up the rest. Really, the only thing different from this collection of 'snacks' and one of Pap’s notorious pizzas is the lack of a pizza crust.

Oh. And there’s also a separate toaster gift that'd been wrapped up, off to the side. Papeeno didn’t know why Omino had so many, but the Mii had insisted on the frog giving the extras away. (Seems said Mii forgot to mention who gave him those toasters in the first place... and hadn't realized who Pap would give one of them to.) But the snack ball is the star of the show, in Pap’s eyes.

DB can at least tell that one of the toasters had returned. Oh well. That's fine - it can always be joined with another set of toasters to give away as prizes.

But more importantly, it's the big ball of assorted 'snacks' on it that he was looking at. Okay, he can recognize the peanut butter, jelly, and the thyme, but everything else? What even is the Mystery Meat???

. ".....If Peppino hasn't gotten you one yet, I'm getting you an actual recipe book." Look, he's up for 'gross' foods, but even this seems like a tadpole much. The frog seems juuuust smart enough to at least be able to read and follow instructions when given to, so maybe a recipe book might 'guide' it to make something that actually resembles something edible next time.

...Not that he'll say that part out loud. Nor the fact that he's already thinking about how to get rid of that mystery ball once Papeeno's gone back to the pizzeria.
