Basically this au (addition to any other au ) Jekylls parents play a role in the story.

Margaret and Ernest

^ My most recent art of Jekylls mom Margaret, she plays a bigger role in the story. (And btw this art is scanned thought an app bc lighting wasnt great.)

^ My first art of them both(was trying to figure out their designs) Margarets red dress ended up being her newer clothing and orange one is her in the past.

^My full body refs of them a bit later. I hid Ernests eyes because i couldn't decide which eye colour to give him, green, so that he kinda looks like hyde, or brown. Ended up choosing brown but that may change in the future.

^Mix with encanto i watched at the time (not the biggest fan of this drawing their head sizes are weird)

^ Andd art with her missing her past and regreting her actions (mm trauma ☺️)

^ In those 3 drawings you can see i wanted to give her a lot of old spots before the initial desing (first picture) but ended up making less of them.

So uhh yeah thats a lot, now to context:

Margaret

[she/her] [60 y.o] [a doctor]

Hers and Ernests marriage was against their will so they have only platonic attraction

She inherited a hospital as a bisness. She is both a boss but also sometimes performs surgeries.

her shortened story [tw mention of death, abuse and depression]:

she was born in arranged marriage family.

her mothers murder was planned and made by her father (who is a leader of a mafia) because family would mess with his (secret) bisness. He sent a infected by him with rabies werewolf

but Margaret survived so he decided to leave her alive, but he used her only for his needs and was abusive and manipulative

She also had later o an arranged marriage with a man (Ernest) she knew from childhoid, but they only ever had platonic feelings for each other

Because of her father threatening her with leaving her with nothing to inherit from her family in his will, which would literally leave her on the streets, if she wouldn't have a child with her husband. At age 25 she had Jekyll.

Margaret grew with prejudice towards magical creatures and mad scientists (because of her mothers murder and the society's influence).

So when she found out her husband helps magical creatures and scientists (hid them from police in a little house in the woods) she on emotions went to the police.

Ernest was imprisoned. Where he died

so it become just her and her son now

for her son it was a hard hit, he loved his father very much

So resentment stayed with him

And Margaret also wasn't able to forgive herself ever since

She also was hyper-protective to her son and often manipulated him out of what she thought will be best for him

So one day they had a big fight because her son, Henry, wanted to create a place where the "mad" scientist who are in bad situation can have a chance to improve and not fear police anymore. She have done an ultimatum, that if he does that, he could never come back. (Or alternatively, when he changes his mind)

So he left, she was now alone, but instead of trying to fix what she had done, her pride didnt let her. Each passing year she convinced herself he will come back. For about 10 years.

she regretted her choices, her actions was haunting her which dived her into depression

But after a hard path, she will come to terms with herself.

That will happen after she will come to society to support it financially. And reunites with her son after them making peace with each other. Which dosent mean forgiveness from Jekylls side.

Alsoo there may be a sub plot about her and Frankenstein becoming "roomates".

Ernest

Well, he was a very positive and caring person. Despite that not that mature or responsible, Margaret was the responsible one. And face of the family.

While he was a househusband, and spent time with Jekyll. Thay got in trouble because Ernest didnt really twice while even little Jekyll sometimes was like "welp thats not a very good idea".

Also considering Ernest maybe inspiring Jekyll to be an alchemist. But himself he most likely had completely other interest. But still supported his son, unlike Margaret.

Mad scientists and creatures he cared for was caught with him, but they managed to escape.

His parents were mostly ignorant of his existence, exept for when that would make them a profit (like with the arranged marriage) . So he promised himself he would always care for Jekyll (🥲)

As to him and Margaret, they were pals, he always was with her when she finally was finally opening up to him. But hid his own feelings under a happy mask.

Was the same age as Margaret. Died when he was 36 (went to jail when he was 35) no one really knows what happened.

(i actually most of the time before were considering him to be alive and Margaret lying that he died, but i changed that for storys sake, i didnt felt like he had much of a purpose in the current status when jekyll is 35. BUT THAT MAY ALSO CHANGE IN THE FUTURE)

So in where hes alive version

I remember vividly daydreaming about jekyll/hyde being exited to see his/their dad after so many years, cleaning society etc while lodgers are confused. Him coming and jekyll being very exited and emotional but not knowing how to tell lodgers. Later on Margaret will come as she recieved an invitation by jekyll, which was actually written by Ernest to reunite their family. (Kinda sugar sweet compared to ver. where he died)

So uhh yeah this au was one of the most thinked about by me. Now not that much but its not forgotten ‼️

Also red eyed hyde - green eyed jekyll au name is uninspired, but it isnt as simple as it sounds.

I have been having Emma x Jekyll brainrot the entire morning and now all I can imagine is Ghost!Jekyll and Lanyon going to a masquerade and Henry dances with Emma, and Emma just feels such a nostalgic feeling dancing with this mysterious stranger that seems so familiar. Perhaps she would realise she is dancing with Jekyll’s ghost when they go outside to have a private moment in the garden, and Emma takes off her mask and Henry’s too, so tenderly and secretly affectionately. She doesn’t even get a chance to react to seeing Jekyll’s face (knowing that he is dead, of course) before someone else enters the garden and calls for her, and when she turns back Henry is gone <3 Maybe when she goes back inside she sees Henry again by Robert, yet she can’t believe what she just saw <3<3<3<3 Maybe she would try to visit the Society to see him again but the Lodgers don’t want some random aristocrat in their building so they try to shoo her away, except that’s when Henry starts melancholy play on the piano and everyone realise that’s the ghost no matter if the Lodgers know that it’s Henry or not <3<3<3<3<3<3

Some Tg British hcs

1) So instead of Tokyo, the obvious choice would be London, which I would guess would also have the similar systems of different wards and such. The first and most secure wards would be around Kensington and Westminster (proper high class) and the worst area and ward would be the east end of London where all the ghoul gangs terrorise the neighbourhood. But the crowded streets, countless homeless and constantly visiting tourists make for some great hunting ground between the ghouls.

2) Anteiku would be a pub instead of a cafe, somewhere in North London like sutton (nothing too big or small) where all the local ghouls visit. Since Tracey (touka) would be underage to handle alcohol, she just helps out around the place like cleaning whilst Kai (kaneki) is hired to become a bartender. Like in canon, Tracey trains Kai in combat to fend off the gangs of tracksuit clad chavs that would often target him at night and teaching him the ways around the area (social wise, that is) whilst Kai helps in Tracey's studies in college to one day, hopefully, give her a chance to enter the University of London, which Kai attends himself.

3) Tracey and Kai decided to take their foster sister, Hannah (hinami), to the all the iconic museums (which if you didn't know are in some of the posher areas in London) and once they returned, they were followed by a particular high class ghoul by the name of Shaun Toshington (shuu Tsukiyama) who's very much intrigued by Kai's unusual scent. Of course, considering the area he's in, no one likes him, judging by how snobbish he is about every little thing and being a prick whenever and wherever he could.

4) Just re imagine the scene kaneki asks touka for cake and then imagine the same thing except replace cake with tea. VIOLA British version.

5) Aogiri is now the biggest underground drug dealers in London, owning most gang territories whilst killing off any and every human that gets in the way. Think as Emma (eto) as the jk Rowling of this au whilst owning half of London in her hand

AU Hyde friends with Emma Carew

In this au, or more like an addition i can add to one of my aus – in one of Hydes outings, while jumping on the roofs he noticed Emma crying on balcony to her room. Even though he would usually leave (and Jekyll dosent want to get in trouble hence Hyde is still a searched criminal) he decided to come closer, Emma noticed him and was confused on why tf theres a man on the roof above her balcony (i would shit my pants) But Hyde reassured her he isnt a threat, and was just coming by (on the roofs 🤨). And asked her whats wrong.

Surprisingly she wasnt afraid, she already had a breakdown so she couldn't really think straight.

She told him she is supposed to have an arranged marriage with Simon Stride, in her families will. But she doesn't love him nor she ever had romantic or sexual attraction to anyone ever (shes aroace but that term didnt exist back then ). Plus, hes a jerk towards her.

Hyde shows his opposition to it, he thinks all those traditions and aristocrat things are absolutely stupid (sorry for my lack of smart language 😂) . He tells her he knows one person who was also married against their will, and that ruined their relationship with their lover (as hyde says this jekylls jaw drops to the floor XD). So he understands how harmful it can be. He jokes to lift Emmas mood.

Emma already calmed down thanks him, and also tells abot how in general its annoying. Her fathers friends were making jokes about her marrying jekyll right after their dance. Her father dosent take her seriously as he thinks shes still kid (like in musical, same with her mothers death) and he dosent think that marriage is harmful as family of simon conviced him otherwise. She dosent blames him but still holds a grudge for not helping her but instead adding fuel to the fire.

Hyde dosent knows what to say so he suggests her to jump on roofs with him to unwind, jekyll as a shadow is completely apposed. She is unsure but decides to accept the offer. Jekyll tries his hardest but hyde has an idea to make it a little safer.

Since shes in a party dress she takes some time to change into more for jumping clothes. Hyde asks her to hold his hand so she dosent fall while jumping

Later on i imagine her cutting her hair as a sign of new life (so she'll have something like a pixie cut)

She would write her father a letter that she has left due to her own will

Andd Hyde helps her escape to become of Lucy girls ^^ they still meet even after that.

Thinking abt that, most likely in this scenario her father would still search for her. Just wondering if suspecting Hyde should be a part of it (maybe someone has seen them or something like that)

What animals would they be?

Mf the first thing I did after I read J&H in the beginning of the year was to make everyone a fursona, specifically started bc I wanted to draw Utterson as an otter (bc utter is otter in swedish and yadeyade yada), and then it spiraled into Henry as a jackal bc of Jekyll, Lambyon... Enfield(mouse). It spiraled and I am Ashamed of that but I'm going to take this as an excuse to get out my furriness before I explode and start obsessing with werewolves again <3

Jekyll: Scottish deerhound; specifically bc it's a sweet dog breed that looks a bit rough-around-the-edges compared to stereotypical show dogs, like I imagine most aristocrats to be.

Hyde: mix-breed cat or fox, very small and very uncanny no matter which. Probably hard to pinpoint what kind of animal he is so people speculate.

Lanyon: stag.

Rachel: Calico/tortoiseshell cat, I believe Darlene came up with that one first but I can't let go of it lol.

Jasper: obvious would be wolf, otherwise a... Hmm, no, wolf seems right.

Lucy: Panther (I believe that one was also bc of Darlene but eh <3)

Elise: Swan.

Patrin: Also wolf or smaller big-cat.

Frankenstein: Some kind of bird, like an eagle maybe?

Creature: Several different animals combined into one since they are furries and not strictly animal lol. Mainly some ungodly mix between canines and felines.

Griffin: albino short-haired cat.

Maijabi: bear. Specifically so I can say that he is a mommy-bear to Henry.

Helsby: Goose. Peace was never an option.

Emma: doe.

Mosley: is it too obvious to say mole?

Archer: definitely a canine, although a catlike canine. Fox seems a bit off, perhaps a border collie raised by cats?

Bird: ...Cat. One that probably looks a lot like Garfield and I'm saying that in the nicest way possible.

Chabra: A cobra, but one that is v nice and only will bite you if you step on her.

Those are the ones I can think of rn, also now I am very tempted but I absolutely refuse to make af ucking furry au <3

1) THEORETICALLY YES... But I know that if I take a hiatus I will never finish it, and I know how guilty I would feel for not continuing it... Plus, most of my complaining is just dramatic but I'm not used to make chaptered fics and never will ever again. 6) Oh man. I love Wulvers. I know jack shit about them but I had planned to have Henry meet a wulver in the Irrbloos Au at some point, since they were benevolent and helpful I had planned to have a wulver lead him back and get him back to the real world at some point but I never got so far into that plotline. But honestly... All pictures of werewolves of all kinds look like furries. Did you know that they have werehyenas in africa, which is basically just reverse werewolves (i.e a hyena that turns into a human instead of the other way around)?

7) I'm going to start off by saying that Cederic definitely would be some kind of nymph-like creature like an incubus of some kind or just a straight up male nymph/siren, something very pretty and very seductive because, I don't know if anyone read his part of the updated OC masterlist post, he was originally a prostitute and very much uses that to his advantage to get what he wants. Something cat-like would also make sense, as his mother (in the actual DND campaign) is the egyptian cat goddess Bastet, but regardless, he still has his cat so it would fit no matter.

Frankenstein - Dwarf, or Baba Yaga.

Emma - A Huldra, maybe? A benevolent nymph? A banshee? I just love her and I wanted to add her to the list somehow.

Maijabi - a ghost who is totally chill with being dead. Maybe one of those spirits who like to fuck with humans (metaphorically speaking) by hailing cabs and then ditching them in the middle of the ride.

Lavender/Ito - those centaurs that are deer instead of horses I forgot the name sdsdfs

OK. Frankenstein would have a German shepherd (duh) or one of those monstrously large mix-breed dogs. Emma would have a tiny pomeranian or a poodle, especially a king/royal poodle. Henry would probably adopt any animal he could get his hands on; church grims, normal dogs, cats, lizards, any forest animal, bats, insects... He just wants to be loved so he will adopt a bunch of animals and show them love, he would probably turn into Jasper if left unrestrained. Miss Flowers would probably have a bunch of butterfly pets, Mrs. Cantilupe would probably have a bunch of birds like cockatoos, Lanyon would probably have a lot of show-dogs, or might as well have a bunch of exotic and majestic animals like peacocks. Rachel would have a bunch of cats. Sir. Lanyon and Sir. Carew would probably own a lot of hunting dogs (have you ever heard of the Swedish Lapphund??? They were bred to hunt and shepherd reindeer and my family used to dogsit one named Ozon, he was so sweet but also dumb as a brick <3). Lucy would probably be a mix between Henry and Robert and have a bunch of animals that vary in exoticness but probably would prefer normal cats and dogs. Maijabi would probably rescue random critters like city bats and mice (especially those neglected by Griffin) and would give them all individual names and let them sit on his hat or his shoulder while he works. I just think Maijabi with a lil bat bud would be neat (also why I love that part in your vampire au <3)

It's hard to choose, but I think it's either Morcant or Frankenstein. Morcant... I absolutely love her, okay? Like I adore her and I love Bleeding Heart and I love werewolves and I love the little we get to see about her and Henry's relationship and I wish we could see more of her and I wish there was more content for her because jfc do I love her more than absolutely anything. I have been simping for her already before I read bleeding heart and that hasn't stopped since. It's technically a hard tie between her and Emma because I love Emma too but we know... Jack shit about her, and we see her for like 3 pages total so :'3

Frankenstein might come as a surprise and especially because I absolutely think she is a piece of shit but she is a fun piece of shit. I love what Sabrina made with her character, including making her a woman and also a raging lesbian (bisexual? Because of Clerval??? Idk sdfsdf). Plus, I think her character is really fun, and she does remind me a lot of my best friend... Which does not mean to sound as much as an insult as it probably does but IN MY DEFENSE I thought that already before all of this fuckery in the latest chapter. I have her as my laptop wallpaper on my school laptop (definitely not because I had it during the spring and forgot to change it to this term lmao) and I also bought her keychain, so now she is hanging out on the zipper to my school laptop case together with the keyring braid that I made that unintentionally ended up looking like the german flag. Oh itd be a massive success!!! Tbh all the special effects may just be an exhibition on it's own. Hyde playing Hyde But With A Wig is having a great time and not even trying to run off or jeopardize anything. I don't think the London Aristocrats (or anyone) are much prepared to hear Jekyll screaming while melting all of his bones with "Special Effects" but it just draws more people into the play

Theater/Play au

The theater company that made that Fr*nkenstein play in chapter 3 or something I cant remember its 1 am give me a break. Decides to make a NEW Mad Scientist™ play. Because hey! They've been playing a bad adaptation of F*ankenstein for years and keep making a great profit! Imagine if they brought something completely new to the table!

However there hasn't exactly been any Mad Scientists™ living traumatic and dying dramatic recently so they decide to make up a character instead of just basing it on a real person. And to play their main scientist? Who other than the the MadRouge Scientist™ next door, Dr. Henry Jekyll

Now here's the fun part. The play is literally just the j&h m*sical. Maybe with a fun mix of the book. They literally cast Dr. Jekyll as their outlandish completely fantastical, Impossible To Be Real scientist who spilt his soul in half with a funky potion. Unaware that Jekyll did just that

Anyway Jekyll accepts. Because he gets to be in a play!! And more importantly he'll be given a large enough percentage that is the play goes well he might not have to worry too much of a failed exhibition. But also play!! About a mad scientist!! He gets to sing while having a breakdown on stage! He's a main character!! Crippling dept!

Lanyon is trying to convince Jekyll not to do this some inaccurate play that inspired Henry as a kid is completely different from this, especially with Henry, the face of the society, being the mad scientist. Frankenstein probably says something snarky and rude like J's "better fit for being an actor then a scientist"
