TGCF GOTCHA FOR CONGO IS HAPPENING!

This incredible event is happening again, where amazing artists, writers and moderators come together to gather money to those in need, and I have the pleasure to be participating in its 2nd edition as an artist! The art above was done for one of our lovely donators back in march/april when we gathered money for Gaza.

This time the project is focusing on helping people from Congo, who are currently struggling with their own genocide along with colonization and ore mineration.

When You Are Engulfed By Flames ║ a nsfw hualian fic written for the TGCF Gotcha for Congo event, for a prompt submitted by @mrcformoso.

Xie Lian's hands were already trembling with nerves when he heard the telltale chiming of silver chains behind him in the temple of Thousand Lights.

“So this is where you've run off to so early in the morning,” Hua Cheng said, his voice deep and amused. “And here I thought gege was busy with—” He trailed off when Xie Lian didn't turn around and came to a stop behind him.

“Gege?” he asked, sounding confused and a little concerned.

That wasn't what Xie Lian wanted, so he forced himself to turn around.

“Ah, um, it's nothing bad! I promise,” he reassured his beloved. “It's just that. Um.”

They had been together for a while now, why was this still so hard to say?!

A cold, gentle hand cupped Xie Lian's cheek and nudged his chin up. “Gege, can you look at me?”

His cheeks already blazing hot, Xie Lian leaned his head back and raised his eyes to meet Hua Cheng's single one. “San Lang, I've told you about that night and how much I really didn't mind what happened, right?” he blurted out before his nerves could get the better of him again. “Like really, really didn't mind. But I know you don't remember much of it, so I thought we could, um. Recreate it?”

Can someone please create a gotcha fundraiser but instead of creating fanworks, people comment on fanworks? Please? I'd love to participate.

Following the gotcha format you could have people donate and get a set number of comments on a piece for $5 or $8.

Volunteers could then comment on the linked pieces with some basic requirements. Maybe something like a word count minimum. And probably a brief tip guide for giving a comment.

So maybe something like 75 word count minium for the comment, and you say things you liked about the piece. Presumably people would only fulfill comments on things they liked and can engage with. And the tip guide would help people who aren't used to commenting.

This would help with some of the creator burnout that goes around. And it gives noncreators a chance to volunteer. As a bonus it encourages people to practice commenting and they might find it easier to do more often in the future.

Anyway, it would be great if people would do fundraisers along those lines. I'd love to participate (but can't run something like that any time soon) and I'm sure others would too! So anyone now or in the future, if you're interested in using this idea in some way, please do!
