TGCF GOTCHA FOR CONGO IS HAPPENING!

This incredible event is happening again, where amazing artists, writers and moderators come together to gather money to those in need, and I have the pleasure to be participating in its 2nd edition as an artist! The art above was done for one of our lovely donators back in march/april when we gathered money for Gaza.

This time the project is focusing on helping people from Congo, who are currently struggling with their own genocide along with colonization and ore mineration.

The main event is taking part mainly on twitter, I'll leave the link below and there you can find their carrd, their submission form and lovely artwork:

Consider donating for a great cause, there are a huge range of characters, ships, rarepais and others for you to choose, both sfw and nsfw, the campaign has been extended until October 2nd at 11:59PM EST, be sure to donate and request before this date!

Can someone please create a gotcha fundraiser but instead of creating fanworks, people comment on fanworks? Please? I'd love to participate.

Following the gotcha format you could have people donate and get a set number of comments on a piece for $5 or $8.

Volunteers could then comment on the linked pieces with some basic requirements. Maybe something like a word count minimum. And probably a brief tip guide for giving a comment.

So maybe something like 75 word count minium for the comment, and you say things you liked about the piece. Presumably people would only fulfill comments on things they liked and can engage with. And the tip guide would help people who aren't used to commenting.

This would help with some of the creator burnout that goes around. And it gives noncreators a chance to volunteer. As a bonus it encourages people to practice commenting and they might find it easier to do more often in the future.

Anyway, it would be great if people would do fundraisers along those lines. I'd love to participate (but can't run something like that any time soon) and I'm sure others would too! So anyone now or in the future, if you're interested in using this idea in some way, please do!
