and alex isnt 100% sure what's happening but what he does know is that he doesnt want bee to be upset, so he starts trying to calm him down. he picks up on his childlike state and starts using methods that used to calm his kids down when they were smaller. he uses his softest voice, gives him a gentle pat on the knee (because he cant reach his shoulder, even when bee is trying to be small) and helps him take deep breaths. maybe he has a funny little routine he used to do to distract the kids from whatever was making them hurt, or a uniquely terrible dad joke that always made the kids snort and giggle through their tears.

once bee is a little more present, no longer crying, and somewhere in between big and little, alex asks him whats going on and bumblebee tries to explain but some of his big-kid words are still difficult so he starts and stops a couple times trying to find the words. he finally says "acting like a sparkling helps me. when im sad. please dont be mad. i dont do it around the kids."

he's worried that alex will think he's being irresponsible, or weird, or weird and irresponsible. but alex just listens to him ramble about why it helps and what he does when he's little. he slowly starts to use bigger and more "mature" words until he's finally out of littlespace entirely.

alex assures him that he doesnt have a problem with bumblebee doing this, and he's sure dottie wont either, and its actually a really creative way to deal with stress. and he says he doesnt have to hide out here in the barn, he can always hang out with alex while little. alex "what's one more kid, i already have seven" malto

Idea I came up with yesterday but

I love the idea of earthspark Ratchet (and possibly drift / deadlock with him) entering the picture and has absolute beef with Megatron.

Optimus might be working well with him and considers them close again, Megs is close with a human family and the terrans as well as having helped end the war. But I think they should hate each other because it would be either funny or angsty.

Extra points if Drift is actually on good terms with Megs again, it's just Ratchet v Megatron.

Changes to d12 Core incoming

Hey everyone,

As many suspected, d12Core is evolving into "The Flux Engine."  The polls in various online spaces helped me narrow down which direction to take, and "The Flux Engine" is the winner! 

When the change happens, I will keep the d12 Core Itch page open "As is" but disable new downloads from there. I will set up an entirely new page for The Flux Engine. I struggled a lot with this decision as people who already have d12Core will be disconnected from TFE. But I haven't found a way to switch the Itch page to a new name while keeping the old links all over the web active and working. So a new page it is. Lesson learned!

With the change, the latest Beta 1.14 will be released and bring some significant improvements:

Revamped character creation with Origins and Archetypes

More dynamic combat using the enhanced Zones system

Expanded rules for group challenges and conflicts

Refined Adrenaline and Bond mechanics for more dramatic moments

Based on your feedback, I've kept the core of what made d12Core fun while refining the system. The Flux Engine aims to be more flexible, inclusive and approachable, whether you're exploring ancient ruins, dodging asteroids or navigating futuristic cityscapes.

So many of you know my mistborn fic "Gold Doesn't Heal All"

If you don't know it, the premise is the end of Scadrial as Sazed finally snaps into Discord after his husband, Marsh, 's death. But there is a problem with this fic, it doesn't display the relationships between the characters before the end.

Especially Marsh and Kelsier, who became vaguely sibling like. I mean if you have talked with me for 5 mins, or read any of my Google docs, you would know that Marsh and Sazed are deeply in love. But kelsier is only used for chaos. So some sibling chaos is well due for

So i am writing a chaotic prequel filled with small oneshots just with Marsh and Kelsier being chaotic brothers to eachother. The whole story accommodates for Marsh progressively losing function due to age and lack of atium.

Probably my favorite of these chapters is one of the most chaotic. One of the early chapters so Marsh's body is mid 60's. Kelsier finds a relatively short hike and decides to make a day of it and bring his brother (and brother in law/saze)

Only a little bit in they make a wrong turn on the path, everything is actually fine and they have a solution. That is until Kelsier makes the unhinged comment declaring that cannibalism is their only hope. Because this is kelsier we are taking about (look at some of the weirder bits of tfe) Marsh just kinda stares at Kelsier, there's some banter and it's very cute

And pretty much every chapter after of this prequel involves at least one line of "at least I'm not suggesting fucking cannibalism"
