Which characters have the highest smash-to-pass ratio so far? (In both direction, so the highest "yes" to smash and the highest "no" to smash) I'm curious, and also if you have any speculation on why that is or if you think any of the people in any of the polls got cheated / ppl are just WRONG abt a certain character's attractiveness / lack thereof

I've been holding off on this ask for awhile (because I'm lazy and I didn't want to have to remember a bunch of numbers lmaooooo) but upon combing through the blog, I have answers.

Highest smash rate is G1 Starscream, coming in with an 87.7%. Submissive and breedable king, so sayeth the transformers fandom.

Lowest smash rate would be TFA Sentinel Prime with only 30.3%, which does not really surprise me, but it is kind of funny given he's basically the Autobots' Starscream equivalent (Ultra Magnus has fallen! I, Sentinel, am now your leader!!)

In terms of characters that were robbed, I'd say tfa lockdown because he was majority pass. I genuinely, truly thought people were hornier for him. He's a spiky goth dirtbag with a hot voice that seduces good upstanding autobots to do naughty naughty things, like that's hot.

And, of course, we can't forget my BOY, SEASPRAY!!!! HE FUCKS HUMANS IN CANON, ONLY TO FACE REJECTION. FOR SHAME!! /J

Assorted g1 Beachcomber headcanons

Those roundish things on his headcrest are where his detectors (sonar, radar, infrared, and ultraviolet) are. They're very sensitive to touch, too.

Beachcomber can climb like a monkey, and often uses that to his advantage in fights.

Speaking of fights, one of his favorite tactics is getting an enemy to chase him, then run off to a place where they can't fit, or where there's unstable terrain. Or territorial organics. Beachcomber once lured Rumble and Frenzy into a river full of hippopotami, where they were quickly stomped.

He also prefers to disable opponents by breaking their limbs instead of killing them. Though it looks brutal to humans, this sort of damage is 100% repairable. You know when Seaspray dragged Thrust into the bush in Golden Lagoon? Beachcomber silenced Thrust by tearing out his voicebox.

He loves all animals, including humans, but his favorite ones are crabs.

Unlike his TFA incarnation, he doesn't often dabble in mind-altering substances. His favorite drug is fresh air, sunshine, and the wonders of nature.

Before the war, he wrote philosophical texts and poetry in addition to doing geology. (The former is canon in 2005 IDW). On earth, he enjoys beat poetry.

Hes friends with Hound and Cosmos. He bonds with the latter over shared loneliness.

Earthspark Alanna anon here:

IIIRC the episode she was in was about the Decepticons taking over a planet and forcing it's inhabitants to work for them and extracting energon from their bodies (I really don't know how that works). They had this magical pool that turned the people of their planet (and Transformers too, apparently) into other forms, mainly mermaids, but also Transformers, as Alanna got a pretty neat looking robot form in the episode.

This makes me think if Earthspark were to bring back Alanna and the planet, Tlalakan, then it's probably going to be featured as a planet that has been taken over by the Quintessons and Alanna is going to be featured as a Emberstone created Transformer, perhaps bringing in lore about Quintus seeding the galaxy with Transformer life beyond Cybertron. I think it would kind of work, if all of the Emberstone created Transformers are varying degrees of techno-organic (some being more organic, while some having more technological elements). Alanna and her people would be further along the organic side, being somewhat like mermaids. In addition, the AllSpark Almanac states that Tlalak/Tlalakan was a part of Quintesson territory, so it would be interesting if this was brought forward from TFA into Earthspark.

I see the opportunity here for the Malto kids (or at least the terrans) to have to go through a space adventure, and seeing/visiting said Quintesson reigned planets!

It'd be fucking cool if it's revealed that a while ago, when given the choice, Seaspray stayed with Alanna, which I'm not sure if that's what happened in the cartoon or not (probably not)

Welcome Earthlings to the Finals of the Robot Husband Poll! I’m Vector Prime and I’ll be your MC tonight.

Now as you all know Decepticons and Autobots have been at each other’s throats since the beginning of the franchise. Here in the metaverse, where all continuities coexist, we’ve decided to bring an end to the bloodshed. Through a poll.

What, you thought this was just for fun? No! The winner of the poll will be crowned King of Cybertron. After all, if he makes such a fine husband, he ought to make a good ruler.

Anyway, we’ve had some tough competition! Let’s interview the mechs for some of our closest competitions.

In Round One we saw the humble Ten barely take out Tarn, leader of the DJD. Ten, how did you do it?

Ten: Ten!

Well said.

Now Tarn, how does it feel to be defeated along with all your teammates in round one? I thought you were supposed to be tough! But then again, you drove away even Nickel.

Tarn: It matters not. Megatron will lead us to victory!

Moving on! Chromedome defeated the self-proclaimed handsomest Autobot, Sunstreaker, 54/46. Rewind was very proud of his Conjunx and Sideswipe consoled his twin that it was admirable to lose to an actually married mech. Bob informed us that he voted for Sunstreaker.

Tarantulas defeated Trailbreaker, 55/45. IDW Megatron was not pleased and IDW Prowl looked a bit pale.

Wing fell to Mixmaster, 52/48. The Constructicons were of course thrilled and almost everyone else was shocked. Drift still hasn’t gotten over it.

In Round Two, God faced the dragon and tamed the mighty beast. Rung beat Predaking 55/45.

Predaking: I should have won! I am King of the Predacons.

And he’s Primus. Moving on!

Mixmaster once again proved victorious, this time against Impactor. First Aid lost to Perceptor. And Blurr lost to Misfire!

Blurr, how does it feel to lose?

TFA Blurr: TobehonestI’veneverexperienceditbefore.

IDW Blurr: It’s a first for us, but he seems like a nice mech.

Most shocking of all was the battle between Swerve and Prowl. There are no words to describe it.

TFA Prowl: How did we lose? There’s three of us and one of him.

Swerve: I’m just here for the poll. Love a good poll. Haven’t been on a poll since Twitter.

Completely forgotten by the fans, Metroplex and Sideswipe were 50/50. Sideswipe pulled ahead by a few pixels. It was truly a riveting race. Too bad only Windblade and Sunstreaker were there to see it.

Round Three saw Jazz demolish Swerve. It also saw Tarantulas still alive and kicking, though just barely squeaking it out over Seaspray. Mixmaster finally fell to Thundercracker. Starscream saw victory as well, taking down Ultra Magnus 55/45. In this round Megatron fell to Cyclonus.

Stasrceam: Megatron has fallen! I, Starscream, am now leader of the Decepticons! And a sexy husband to boot.

Skids and Amublon had some friendly competition. I think “Legsweep” and other puns will haunt me until the day I die. Skids won, 54/46, and Nautica was very proud.

Even more riveting was Whirl vs God. Whirl did defeat Rung 51/49.

Rung: As Whirl’s therapist, I’m very proud of the progress he’s made. I’m glad the people of Earth see such potential in him and I hope he lives up to it.

Whirl: I BEAT GOD!

Heatwave, sole remaining representative of the Rescue Bots, defeated Smokescreen 53/47. He could care less, but the Burns and other Bots were psyched.

Round Four saw some interesting matchups.

Cyclonus utterly destroyed Whirl, and Knockout beat Heatwave in similar fashion. The only bot big enough for the job, Skyfire finally squished Tarantulas. Skids put up a brave fight, but the evil scientist Shockwave beat him 54/46.

To our shock, Breakdown defeated Drift. I am told lobsters were involved.

Drift: What can I say? Breakdown is a great mech. Besides, there is still one greater than me in the running.

Soundwave finally got fed up with Starscream’s leadership and thoroughly trounced him, 66/34.

Starscream: Soundwave, how could you? I should be crowned ki- best husband!

Soundwave: Soundwave superior.

Round Five pit Knockout and Breakdown against each other. Breakdown barely pulled ahead and I am assured there are no hard feelings between the two. Thundercracker toppled Skfire, 52/48, and Ratchet beat Cyclonus 54/46.

Semifinals weren’t even close which brings us to the final fight: Ratchet vs Soundwave.

Will good prevail? Or will it be proven Earthlings prefer the bad boy? Who knows? May the best husband win. The fate of metaverse Cybertron hangs in the balance!
