Sniper Headcanon

Based on my post about the 7th comic

Sniper has kleptomanic tendencies but is completely unaware of it

He picks up stuff and just doesn’t put it down again. It’s not a conscious decision

It’s mostly smaller items

When he finds them in his pockets or in the van he will be like ‘huh that’s weird’ and then just shrugs it off

This means he has a lot of cutlery in his van and they are all mismatched

Spy once opened the drawer in Sniper’s van and the amount of cutlery was just ridiculous (especially for a guy who appriciates solitude). When Spy asked why he has so many, Sniper was like ‘I don’t know. They just keep showing up!’

He also steals from the other mercs but when he finds their stuff in his van, he gives it back to them. He genuinely thinks they just forgot it.

Headcanon: Sniper wears sweaters when he’s not in uniform

HEADCANON RAMBLING UNDER THE CUT

One of my biggest headcanons for Sniper is that he has chronic back pain. Not only because he's slouched over for his work all the time, but because his backstab wounds don't exactly go away after respawn. The pain still lingers, and respawn leaves him with a brand new scar. Some scars are lighter than others, while others are much deeper than others. He has a lot of trouble bending because of this, and often needs assistance from someone if he needs to grab something on the ground.

However, something he risks his back pain for is bug collecting. He'll grab a lil bugger off the ground, let it crawl on his arm and compliment how it looks, then put it back down safely and suffer the consequences (trying to get up for 3 minutes)

I also like to think he has his ears pierced. He knows soldier will make fun of him for that and having his hair long, but he doesn't wanna let those things go. Sniper was very into the hippie culture, not with the bright colours n tie-dye n all that shindig but he still rocks the camper life, mullets and earrings.

I think some extra things are that he's got tons of scars from, well, mostly Spy and his counterpart. He also smells like a wet dog, musty wood, tobacco, sweetgrass, sage and cedar. It's not a strong smell (he's gotta practically smell like nothing for being a bushman) but oddly enough for someone who looks that musty, he smells quite pleasant.

Speeding bullet headcanons

In light of comic 7

The gaggle of children frolicking about? Target practice

Nerf wars in this home go HARD. The destruction of peace at the hands of a foam bullet

Scout wants to be as good a parent as his Ma. So, whenever something happens, he responds whoever he thinks his Ma would

They both love the children very deeply. Once Scout is living life as a single father and reconnects with Sniper, Sniper just kinda moves in and starts doing the kids hair in the morning

Small children love chaos and starting fires and climbing trees and these guys are not able to resist the temptation

Sniper channels his dad to discipline the kids (which causes him to look inwards at how his dad fucked him up) and Scout is surprisingly a natural at gentle parenting

This rambunctious, poor-decision making young man transform into a wonderful and present father. Kids have a school play? He’s there front row screaming. Kid misbehaving? He’s explaining their behavior and how to better respond next time

Scout takes all of them out individually to play ball and it heals something deep within him

Totally wrapped around each individual tiny finger tho LMAO Scout WILL buy it for them and Sniper WILL take them there

They go on family nature outings ❤️ Sniper teaches the kids survival skills and Scout carries them when they get tired from walking

Scout works out using the kids as weights

They build family forts and tree houses!!

AKA Sniper builds them and Scout sword fights the kids with branches

It’s a very sweet domestic bliss. Scout and Sniper both deal with PTSD from the gravel war and rely on each other to get through it

When Spy visits they give the children sugar first 😈

When the mercs visit the kids have a sit down talk after about why we can’t act like that
