I'm doing @redteams-blog-with-chris 's oc theory today since it seems we barley know anything about him.
Chris or gunslinger is gay its a known fact, but what if he's from the north of Texas, since engineer is from the south [I'm pretty sure based on his accent] than we can understand why he has no morals. Gunslinger apparently has a [currently unknown] middle name we just have to make guesses on Gunslingers middle name. Now a questions for the creator of this oc:
dose he have any siblings or parents? I whould really like to know, and what is his relationships with the mercs?
One personal question as well:
What can we call you other than Chris?

The model looks about the same as the last time, but I did a lot of work to make it parametric instead of dimensioned to whatever I thought was about right. This way I can configure the length between each joint (instead of every individual distance), and the model should update accordingly.
With this 'refining' of the model, I can set configurations for each finger with different lengths and widths. Each joint is the same size for each finger, so I can delete the middle segment and join a first and last segment to create the thumb.
Also, this will likely be the color I'll use for the main gunslinger finger parts. (Not including the other 'fun' variants I'll likely make).

TF2 Backstab Models and What They Mean for the Mercs
Tumblr media
In my travels in the TF2 meta, I've noticed that when using an Australium or ice themed weapon, such as the Spy-cicle, each Merc has a few different models for their "frozen backstab" pose. I thought this was interesting and decided to take it upon myself to document the different models and extrapolate what that might mean for each merc as a character. Keep in mind the "canon" of TF2 and the characterization of the mercs is very much up to interpretation but I think this can give us some insight at least into what Valve thinks of each character and how they react to injury, particularly the backstab.
Let's get into it.
SCOUT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scout with his quicker speed assumedly has a faster reaction time compared to a lot of the other mercs, so it tracks that in many of his poses he is almost completely turned around/facing back. I don't think he necessarily expects to be back stabbed but his fast reflexes makes it so that he is one of the mercs who is closer to actually catching the Spy before the stab. Clearly he isn't always fast enough if he gets stabbed though. On a side note I personally find his poses to be some of the most unnerving ones.
SOLDIER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clearly Soldier's slow speed catches up with him when it comes to backstabs. Being one of the slower classes in the game, and one of the more burly/stocky characters, it makes sense that he would have trouble catching a Spy before a stab. In a few poses you can see that he reaches behind himself, but you never see him trying to turn his torso or head around to catch his attacker. It's also interesting to note how he reaches to his lower back, either because of how he holds his rocket launcher on his shoulder, or because of his lack of physical flexibility,
PYRO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pyro's poses are all rather similar, so I don't find that I have much to say about them. Given what little we do know of Pyro, it's reasonable to assume that they probably don't notice Spy's through their pyro-vision very well, so it would make sense that they wouldn't be prepared for a backstab. They also don't need a particularly fast reaction time for their weapon/attack style so they don't show the same reflexes as Scout or Demo. Pyro just be silly with their pose.
DEMOMAN
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demo is very dramatic to say the least. I find it very interesting how he seems to be very close to actually grabbing the knife/Spy relative to some of the other mercs like Solly, Medic, or Pyro. This supports my personal theory that Demo plays up his drunkenness on the battle field/in general. He clearly has a good degree of flexibility as well looking at the curve of his spine, and a reasonable amount of balance shown by his repeated "one toe on the ground" style stance.
HEAVY
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get many screencaps of Heavy, but all his poses are essentially this with little variance. He is probably one of the least flexible out of all the mercs, which makes sense given his body type and how built up his shoulder/back muscles must be from carrying a 300 lbs gun around all the time every day. You can see that he probably doesn't expect a backstab and has a slower reaction time than others, which is in line with his in game movement speed.
ENGINEER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This man really just always be on his knees. I would assume that this is due to the fact that most of the time you would see an Engie crouching behind a sentry or dispenser, in game and in the character sense. It also reinforces Valve's mocking of his VERY NORMAL AND AVERAGE height. I also like to think Spy kicks his knees out from behind as he stabs. The models also tend to have effed up hands for Engie for some reason which I find very funny. Arguably his right hand tends to be the more messed up one, which is also his mechanical hand/Gunslinger. Food for thought, perhaps a mechanical malfunction/short when he dies?
MEDIC
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Medic's poses are all very similar as well unfortunately. What stands out to me the most is how INCREDIBLY TALL Medic is compared to all the other mercs. You can see that he also doesn't work to turn around or even reach behind him to any large degree, which I think shows how unexpected a backstab is for Medic. He's usually busy chasing some screaming Scout or hiding behind a corner to pocket a Heavy so it would make sense he wouldn't expect a backstab as he usually has some power class with him to protect him. We stand with our Medic's though, no hate only love. Stay strong Medic army.
SNIPER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sniper is the most interesting to examine for me, as he and Spy tend to have a rivalry in every sense, from the Spy v. Sniper update/event released by Valve way back when, to in game play, to in the comics/canon media we have of the mercs. It's clear he is the most prepared for a back stab most of the time, and arguably the closest to actually stopping Spy. I think he generally has an average reaction time if the in game movement speed is anything to go off of, but the fact he is so close to stopping the attack just shows how used to the backstab he is. He also has a higher degree of flexibility on par with Scout and Demo.
SPY
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally, we come to the man of the hour. The tl;dr is he's a drama queen who's holier than thou attitude and cockiness causes him to not expect or prepare for another Spy's backstab, which ends up being his ultimate downfall. The long version of it is that he is a drama queen who's holier than thou attitude and cockiness causes him to not expect or prepare for another Spy's backstab, which makes him a little bitch boy who's pride gets hurt more than the actual pain of the stab. All of his poses are pretty similar, showing he has a good amount of flexibility but a piss poor reaction speed if he's able to get beat at his own game.
ANYWAY, if you've made it this far in the post thank you very much for reading it all and indulging my TF2 brain rot. I have no idea if any of this deeper reading was intended by the devs or Valve, but I think it's interesting to explore what little we get in regards to any hints about the mercs as characters and what they might be like on and off the battle field in a story sense. Would love to have more discussion in the comments and if anyone has any other niche requests for me to overanalyze TF2 game play/lore please let me know and I'm sure I will find more than expected to talk about.
Stay strong TF2 fans.

Tumblr media
Have you ever wanted to make the TF2 guys drown in a pool? Or perhaps... kiss? Well, now you can! Here's a list of my TF2 Sims 4 custom content. Playtested, all LODs, all base game compatible. If you come across any problems let me know, but I don't think you should.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I made 3 items for Scout: his cap with headset, shirt with rolled up sleeves (comes in RED and BLU), and a necklace with 2 dogtags.
For Sniper I converted his hat, made a pair of sunglasses with a yellow tint, and added his facial scars. The scars can be found in skin detail, freckles. Also for Sniper I took a vanilla hairstyle and drew on his funky hairline.
Shown with Makesims' Hand Wraps
Tumblr media
Here are 3 vests I made by combining and changing some vanilla vests. The one on the left is intended for Heavy, as it has t-shirt sleeves. The two on the right can work for either Demo or Sniper, as both have sleeves rolled up to their elbows. Both contain swatches with and without Demo's long undershirt sleeves. All vests come in BLU and RED.
Also shown here, on Demo and Heavy, are a pair of pants I converted from Strangerville's army career. See, normally when Sims 4 pants tuck into boots, the lower sections of the pants just disappear. But with these, because they include the shoes, the pants puff up over the top of the boots. There are 5 swatches: brown/grey, RED, BLU, and RED/BLU with gradient.
On Heavy and Sniper are black fingerless gloves. There is a swatch with gloves on both hands and a swatch with one glove (for Sniper).
Shown with Pralinesims' eye patch. Also, for Demo I used a white left eye from my Bad Batch CC for when he takes it off.
Tumblr media
For Soldier and Engie I made these hats from scratch. Soldier's has two swatches to match his RED and BLU outfits. Engie also gets a pair of goggles.
Tumblr media
I made Spy's mask by editing the ninja mask from the Spooky stuff pack and Pyro's by recoloring the inaccurate scuba mask from Island Living. It's not exactly a gas mask, but I really did not feel like making one from scratch and I'm not satisfied with any gas mask CC that already exists.
Tumblr media
Pyro's mask also has a version with cat ears. For pary time, of course. Their shirt, while not exactly like Pyro's in-game shirt, has a similar silhouette which is why I chose it. There are white, RED, and BLU versions with and without the balloonicorn graphic.
I also made Pyro's gloves. The second swatch adds a black covering on the neck so that Pyro can wear many shirts without showing skin.
Tumblr media
Here are the outfits for the rest of the characters.
Medic has a recolor of the Get to Work lab coat, RED and BLU, with and without gloves.
Spy has a recolor of the base game pinstripe suit in RED and BLU.
For Pyro, in addition to the shirt, I made another pair of pants with gradient, but this time they can go with taller boots. The boots do not come with my CC.
Engie has a recolor of the handyman overalls, in RED and BLU. I also made the gunslinger as a glove. There are two versions, with and without the bulky wrist part, so that it can still work with long sleeves and not clip.
Miss Pauling's dress has 3 swatches with different shades of purple. Please ignore the shading issues in this post's cover image; it has since been fixed but that pic was so hard to get I'm not retaking it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have added a few build/buy options. The 2Fort roofs (shown in the 2Fort images earlier) are a recolor of roofs from Werewolves. I also added the gym and meeting room walls from Expiration Date.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mercenary Career!! Branches for all classes, plus branches for the Administrator and Miss Pauling. Script mods must be turned on and the files for this cannot be more than 1 folder deep in your mods folder.
All items can be found here on Sims File Share.
Recommended: Serenity's 1960s CC and Simduction's Dixie Hair for Ma 💖
My build of 2Fort and my sims can be found on my gallery, username Dadverinee.

Saw Fortress II
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, is this what you've been waiting for?
So, as some of you may or may not know, Saw is getting a new movie, Saw X, in two days and I'm so excited for it to come out! I decided to pay tribute to this movie by making a crossover between Saw and, of course, Team Fortress 2. I've been getting interested and invested in the Saw franchise, from its story to the characters and especially the creative but deadly traps. Took me about 22 days to create as I had classes and needed to take breaks every once in a while, but I finally finished it and presented it to my brother as a birthday gift (as well as an official Fallout cookbook).
Now, for the fans of both Saw and TF2, I'll explain the reason why I chose the characters and their designated roles. It's time to play a game.
Character Comparison and Roles
Warning: Spoilers for the Saw franchise
RED Engineer: John Kramer aka Jigsaw - Well it's pretty much obvious why. They're both engineers. They both are talented in creating many different unique contraptions that are beneficial, but deadly and dangerous. Engie also has his morals, although it's way different from John's. Let's not forget that Engie can be somewhat a little sadistic and loves seeing his enemies go down, although John hates sadistic people despite the irony in his traps. Also, are we gonna ignore his Gunslinger taunt kill and his sinister, evil laugh? I'm not sure if Engie should have the Gunslinger with him, but I think it would be pretty cool to have it on him. Maybe in this version when he attempts to commit suicide and fails, but all he's left is a completely maimed hand, he cuts it off entirely and replaces it. It would be a pretty cool backstory as to why he has it and would make a really cool reveal to show to the audience. I wonder what Engie sounds like saying the iconic line "Game Over"?
BLU Medic: Dr. Lawrence Gordon - It's also pretty obvious why. He's a doctor. (Can you guess the reference?) Dr. Gordon is my favorite character in the series, and I love seeing the change and progress in his character from a doctor and trap victim in the first Saw film to John's favorable accomplice and in his words, "My greatest asset" in Saw 3D/Saw: The Final Chapter/ Saw VII (Yeah, I can't believe that movie has multiple names). In a way, it makes sense to have Medic as Dr. Gordon because just like how it was shown at the end of Saw VII that he and John worked great together, Medic and Engie are also seen working together in Expiration Date as lab partners. They both would work great as an amazing sadistic duo. Also, I think it's kind of cute to have Engie give Medic a prosthetic foot after he too cuts it off entirely. Not only would it make sense because Engie knows a thing or two about prosthetics, but it would show that Medic and Engie both have something in common: cut off what's unnecessary to help with your survival. Medic would also try to justify and reason Engie's actions. Also, I love Dr. Gordon's "Game Over" line, it's soooooo good!!! It's my personal favorite (Of course nothing beats John's iconic classic version). I could totally imagine how great Medic would sound saying that line!
BLU Spy: Detective Lieutenant Mark Hoffman - Ok, this is where things start to get a little interesting. Hoffman became John's accomplice after replicating his ideas and making his own traps that John never made himself. In a way, he's becoming Jigsaw. Just like how Spy can become and replicate any class, Hoffman also became more mysterious and secretive to his fellow colleagues and tried to frame Special Agent Peter Strahm as Jigsaw. In the end, when he gets caught, he goes against everyone and executes them, so the secret never comes out. Also, another reason why Spy is Hoffman and please tell me if I'm not the only one here who thought this when watching Saw: Did anyone else get Hoffman and Strahm mixed up because they almost look like the same person and it's always confusing when there's a scene that focuses on one of them but it's actually the other? I decided to have two Spies in the story with the BLU Spy as Hoffman and the RED Spy as Strahm since they look the same minus the color.
Miss Pauling: Amanda Young - You're probably thinking, "Why her? Is it because she just so happens to be female and I just filled her in that role?" Well yes, but actually no. It's because Amanda was very loyal to John, looking up to him, defending him constantly, and was very close to him. Miss Pauling fits that role when it comes to the Administrator, but here she's loyal to Engie. I feel like she likes Engie the most out of any other class, so she would definitely help him out as well as get advice from him. She also can get shit done when being asked to accomplish a task. Sadly, we know what's to come for Amanda. Just like how in the comics Miss Pauling fails to bring the Australium, Amanda fails in John's tasks as he reveals to her that she's part of another game. I do feel like Miss Pauling was stuck playing around in the Administrator's game and it was also implied that every year the Administrator sends people to assassinate her to see if she succeeds as if it's an employee review. So, yeah, Miss Pauling and Amanda both are stuck in pretty tight situations.
RED Pyro: Billy the Puppet - Ah, yes, who could we ever forget? The main icon of the series. Both Pyro and Billy have terrifying appearances that'll leave you quivering on sleepless nights. I used to fear Billy as a kid, but now I see him as endearing and strangely, but freakishly, adorable. Pyro is freaky-looking, but he's such an adorable bundle of flames. I could definitely imagine seeing Pyro riding on Billy's iconic tricycle. That would be so funny, cute, and scary. As for Pyro's voice, since Billy is voiced by John (and Hoffman, I think? Idk), I'm not sure if Engie (or Spy) should voice Pyro since Pyro speaks in muffles. Maybe they should, idk. I also don't know if Pyro should speak in mumbles from time to time or whether he should have the ability to move and just walk around or just remain seated. And, of course, I don't know if Pyro should do his iconic laugh (maybe sometimes, idk). What I do know however is that Pyro should definitely have the iconic Billy laugh.
RED Balloonicorn/The Combustible Cutie Cosmetic (Yeah, I know it's pink, but it's the RED team's version which is why it's pink): Pighead Mask - Oink! Or in this case, Neigh! The mask that John and his accomplices dress up as with the iconic robe (though I'm not sure if this robe should remain red and black or pink and black, maybe the first option should be for Engie since he's the leader while the accomplices get the latter, or not, maybe they should match Engie, idk). At first, I chose Balloonicorn since it's related to Pyro and I know he'll love seeing everyone dress up as one, but then I remembered that there's a cosmetic for Pyro as a mask called "The Combustible Cutie" that resembles Balloonicorn, and boy does that mask look freaking scary!!! It's really fitting for both Saw and TF2 as a whole! It's pretty funny and scary to imagine getting kidnapped by a herd of pink unicorns all because you've been very naughty.
I hope fans of Saw and Team Fortress 2 enjoy this lovely piece of fanart as this has become one of my all-time favorites to create. I was also listening to the Saw soundtrack specifically the Zepp/Main Saw Themes. My favorite being, of course, "Hello Zepp". It fits Engie and John's character theme even though it's Zepp's (although you can argue that it IS John's since it's his perspective since he's saying hello, which I agree). But my actual favorite is "Zepp Overture" because to me it sounds like a holy church. I especially like the way the string instruments sound. Yeah, I know you can argue that Dr. Gordon has a theme at the end of Saw VII called "Dr. Gordon Montage" and "The Final Zepp" but to me, I think this theme fits Medic the best because, y'know, he replicates that sound by playing an actual saw when you taunt which is both funny and adorable. And it really fits his character to be seen as a holier-than-thou and especially a God. This might also fit Spy, but idk. I'm not sure which themes work for Spy and Miss Pauling or even Pyro (if you want Pyro and Engie to share the same theme, then that's fine by me). I might need to go back and listen to all of them depending on the movies that Hoffman and Amanda appear in. Maybe some of you can suggest one. But anyway, please go listen to the Saw soundtrack, especially the Zepp/Main Saw Themes, it's soooooo good!!! I might as well argue that it's one of, if not, THE best horror themes out there!!!
Here's a link to listen to it while you look at the art or whether you are interested in the Saw series and its music:
youtube
Welp, like I said before, I hope you fans enjoy it!!! I just can't' wait for Saw X to come out soon on September 29!!! I just hope and pray the movie is good though. Well, let's just wait and see. But until then,
GAME OVER!

Back to thinking about the TF2 squad, but in a DnD setting.
I don't remember who posted this or where it was posted (and I wished I remembered it so much orz), but Sniper being a Firbolg is amazing and I love it so much and I want to give a big smooch to whoever thought about it first. Also, I can't imagine him having any other class other than Ranger. Have no clue what subclass to give him tho' o(-(
Soldier being a Fighter with the Gunslinger subclass would be fun. But the Battle Master subclass would also fit him. As for what race he would be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe Bugbear?
Idk why, but Demoman as a Blood Hunter (with his subclass maybe being the Order of the Ghostslayer) makes my brain go haywire. Not sure whether to have him be a Minotaur, an Elf, or a half-Elf tho'. Leaning maybe towards one of the latter two. Maybe.
Spy being a Changeling Rogue (unsure what subclass to give him smh) is pretty fitting imo. Don't really have much else to add here lol
Scout would then be half-Human half-... Changeling? Fey? Elf? I have honestly no clue how that exactly works lol. As for his class... I have no clue as well. A part of me is leaning towards Monk, while another part of me is leaning towards Bard. *shrug*
I think it would be fun if Pyro is the only one in the group that's just straight up Human, with maybe some dragon ancestry waayyy back in their family tree, which let's them use Sorcerer spells. That, or let them go nuts with Wild Magic that they got from meeting a Unicorn.
Engineer being a Dwarf Artificer with the Battle Smith subclass that let's him have his own lil' robot turret puppy following him around :)
Heavy would be a Barbarian, but I'm unsure what subclass tho'. I'm leaning towards the Path of the Totem Warrior since one of the animals that can be chosen is the bear, which got quite some perks that fits him. Also unsure whether to have him be a Half-Orc, or a Goliath, or something else.
I just really like the idea of Medic being Tiefling and a Cleric for a God in the Trickery domain (*cough* Satan being the God of Trade or Deals or something *cough*), which let's him have access to the spell Disguise Self, which he uses to look like an Elf most of the time. Just yes :]

throwback to that time I made different stages of players for each TF2 class (all direct quotes from what I wrote):
Spy:
Sphee: the newest of the new. A literal baby who has no idea how to play. Embodiment of an f2p and honestly very adorable to see in the wild. Adorableness scale: infinity/10
Spo: more experience than a Sphee, still rather new though an still pretty inexperienced. Adorableness scale: 9/10
Spu: a decent Spy that needs more training. Adorableness scale: 7/10
Spi: good Spy but lacks in skill. Adorableness scale: 6/10
Spa: very good at Spy though needs to get more convincing when disguised. Adorableness scale: 4/10
Spy: THE Spy, an absolutely great player, bested by only one other. Adorableness scale: 2/10
S: The ultimate lifeform, unbeatable. Gets ubered, might have pocket Medic. Adorableness scale: 1/10
Spycrab: hon hon hon funny french crab!!!! Adorableness scale: 100/10
Sniper:
Shiper: Totally new at Sniper, most likely only has the confidence to go for fully charged body shots. Adorableness scale: 8/10
Spipper: A tad bit more experience, but still not too good. Still most likely mainly body shots. Adorableness scale: 7/10
Snip: Getting more confident, probably using a different rifle now. Misses a lot though. Adorableness scale: 6/10
Skyler: Wowie, this guy's good! 99% chance this one uses bazarr bargain. Adorableness scale: 5/10
Sniper: The Sniper. Awesome at headshotting. Beware of them though. Adorableness scale: 3/10
Spisser: jarate. EVERYWHERE. TOO good. Adorableness scale: 1/10
Huntsman: STOP THE ARROWS! GO PLAY MEDIEVAL MODE!! Adorableness scale: 0/10
Medic:
Meem: New to Medic. Either tries to constantly recreate the Über scene in Meet the Medic or pockets no one. Adorableness scale: 11/10
Meddy-Man: has now discovered the art of pocket Medic. Soldiers and Heavies will abuse this new player's innocence. Adorableness scale: 10/10
Meedick: despises teammates. Innocence ruined. Adorableness scale: 4/10
Med: doesn't hate team as much. Nicer, more willing to heal. Adorableness scale: 5/10
Madic: HATES Scouts. Also might have become a woman by now. Adorableness scale: 5/10
Medic: Heals everyone equally. Pretty nice. Adorableness scale: 6/10
Pocketee: Pocket Medic. Turned to dark side. Adorableness scale: 1/10
Battle Medic: DEAR GOD STOP I BEG KF YOU!! Adorableness scale: -2/10
Engineer:
Egg: Sets up sentry nests in strange places. Doesn't build teleporters. Uses mainly the pistol. Adorableness scale: 14/10
Egoneer: Too confident, not much skill. Might get a Pity-Pybro. Adorableness scale: 7/10
Fearfulneer: started using teleporters. Spies will target these guys because while they're easy to kill, they still provide a small challenge. Adorableness scale: 10/10
Smartgineer: getting smarter. Better sentry nests and better at detecting Spies. Adorableness scale: 8/10
Enginear: Outside your spawn. Adorableness scale: 4/10
Engineer: Pro Engie. HATES Spies, Demomen, and direct hit Soldiers. Adorableness scale: 6/10
Engineer Gaming: Help he's IN my spawn. Adorableness scale: 3/10
Battle Engineer: Gunslinger, frontier justice, and perhaps wrangler? Satan fears him. Adorableness scale: 1/10
Heavy:
Heevee: Stop spraying bullets at EVERYTHING! Okay, but they are sweet. Adorableness scale: 10/10
Hoovy- Has discovered the art of friendly, will be in this stage for a while. Adorableness scale: 10/10
Hefty: uh oh he's found out about pocket Medics. Adorableness scale: 6/10
Weight: oh no he's sedist and homophobic now. Some Heavies may skip this stage, thankfully. Adorableness scale: -100/10

Pyro:
Photo: Picked by f20 because promise of fire is quite appealing. My first main. Adorableness scale: 10/10
Pierow: this guy rarely uses airblast. Very much w+M1 but that's fine because that's literally how they use their fire and move. Adorableness scale: 10/10
Pyruse: Uses airblast a lot! Spychecks CONSTANTLY. Or: Phlog user. Two options. Adorableness scale: 8/10 or 3/10

Pyrbro: loves helping Engineers. Adorableness scale: 10/10
Pyro Shark: not even the water is safe anymore. Adorableness scale: 7/10
Soldier:
Slurdur: desperately trying to rocket jump. Fires rockets at anything that moves. Adorableness scale: infinity/10

Its Official
Tumblr media
I'm finally finished with my tf2 oc this is his Official tf2 uniform.
Info about face scar, scarf, friendly and not friendly and romantic too, etc down there 👇
Chris or known as the gunslinger found his iconic scarf by a dead enemy of his that he killed using a sniper rifle.
His choice of weapons are two revolvers (because he's the only one in the team that can duel wield), a shotgun for secondary and lastly spikes for melee.
Chris is mostly friendly to:
blue Scout, red and blue Demo, red and blue Heavy, Miss Pauling, red Pyro, red medic, red and blue soldier (solly).
Chris is more romantic to:
red Sniper, red and blue Engineer, blue Pyro.
Chris hates these guys:
red Scout, red and blue Spy, blue Sniper, blue medic.
Chris's face scar:
Chris or gunslinger (if you want to call him by his name) got his face scar during a melee fight between him, blue spy and a blue Sniper somehow Chris got nicked by blue Sniper's blade a bit than blue spy made the ingery bigger after Chris took care of blue Sniper.
Chris after a few years he quit his first job at the base as spare janitor and started living on his own after a few weeks he found a roommate that was marasmus the wizard but after a few weeks of being around eachother things quickly got heated and they started yelling at eachother eventually...Chris got sent to red base once again and they need one more member of the team so 6'6" Chris was added to the team as gunslinger, that's how he was added to the team.

Silly Game Time: Who are some of your favorite fighter characters? And what do you like about them?
They can weild any weapon (swords, spears, axes, clubs, knives, bare hands, etc.); they can be of any class or variety of combatant (ones who rely on strength like brawlers or berserkers, ones who use finesse like martial artists or technique masters, ones who balance defensive and offensive equipment like knghts or samurai, etc.); they can be of any race or species (from fantasy or sci-fi); they can even have access to special powers to improve their combat skills (magical, psychic, technological, superpowers, etc.).
What matters is that one of their primary skills, roles in the story, and traits as a character is physical fighting.
So, there are a LOT, and I mean a LOT of possible entries here. Flying Punching Juan, my OC superpowered greaser? Chaz Ashley, from Phantasy Star IV? Cranston Snord, from Battletech?
I think I'm going to pick three.
First off, my manga/anime pick, Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z. Yeah, the grumpy-ass one. Why? Because A) he's the only one smart enough to realize when he's been placed up against a gag manga character, B) he and Bulma are weirdly adorable together, and C) oh my god he has SO MUCH FANFIC POTENTIAL. SO MUCH. With DBZ the fic is better than the core material often, and Vegeta-centered fics are often some of my faves.
Second, from a Pathfinder/D&D campaign, Jenkins. Now, Jenkins wasn't a PC, he was a hireling, a follower from the Leadership feat. His leader/PC was a gunslinger, so he was a long-gun specialist. Quiet. Professional. Basically a more British version of the Sniper from TF2, always ready with a high-caliber shot from a great distance when needed. His master was the swashbuckling badass, Jenkins was the bulwark of stoic coolness that didn't NEED to swashbuckle. Over the course of the campaign the PCs got involved in a plot to overthrow Demogorgon as lord of hell. Long story there, but they succeeded (Jenkins personally landing a finishing blow on no less than three other major targets, including DAGON), and then everyone lunged for the crown at once. Including their allies, the other lords of hell.
Jenkins was in the right place at the right time. He nabbed it. Put it on. Cowed all of hell... and then muttered "well, that's a helluva thing for the CV." And then he tossed the crown on the party witch's head... and walked out of hell.
Jenkins STILL exists in my campaigns, operating at an epic level, usually only heard of in myth.
Lastly, my pro wrestler pick. ORANGE CASSIDY. The king of Sloth Style. The laziest pro wrestler of all time. And arguably one of the best. Orange can actually GO when he's pushed, and he's the master of the Orange Punch. He USED to be a heel, known for spraying OJ in his opponents' eyes. Evidently that was too much effort.

some TF2 team-class headcanons I have: -RED pyro suffers from heat-induced delirium rather than any kind of medical condition whilst BLU pyro is delusional normal -RED demo is a jolly drunk who's just not lucid enough to realize killing people is bad whilst BLU demo went into mercenary work to monetize his drunken rampages and is also the demoknight -RED soldier's from Ohio and BLU soldier's from Virginia -RED scout is a weeb and BLU scout is a furry and also from Brooklyn -RED heavy is tsarist and BLU heavy is communist -the second opinion lives in BLU medic’s head -BLU spy has, of course, got his head either blown off by soldier or severed by medic (take your pick) and so now his body is being control by a robot head trained on hours of james bond films and CCTV footage made by BLU engi -speaking of engie, RED engineer wants to go into military tech and joined to field test his machines and invented the widowmaker, ranger, wrangler, and gunslinger whilst BLU engineer (who’s cajun) is more into medical devices and joined to fund his upcoming business and invented the short circuit, vaccinator, ubersaw, and mini-dispenser (which is real to me). -BLU sniper is half aboriginal and crafted the razorback, Darwin's danger shield, and tribalman’s shiv himself.

TF2 Summer 2023 Map Tier List*
*Not including the VSH maps because I've only gotten to try a couple of them on community servers, since it still doesn't work in Casual
S Tier-
Phoenix
Taking the top of the list, it should be no surprise to see Phoenix here. The map is GORGEOUS and incredibly unique in its art style while fitting perfectly into TF2, and it plays incredibly smoothly. Every point offers something slightly different, and overall the map always plays incredibly well. This is one of the best maps I've ever had the pleasure of playing.
Sulfur
Do you have any idea how long I've waited for another map that plays like cp_steel? Sulfur was a map I'd been very much hoping to see in this update, and here it is! It's aesthetics are beautiful and expand upon the same visual style we see in Suijin, and though its layout and unique objective takes a minute to figure out, it's incredibly fun and feels overall quite balanced.
A Tier-
Selbyen
LOOK AT THE SEAL GO LOOK AT THE SEAL IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN HIM! Cuteness aside, this is the first Player Destruction map that isn't season-locked that we've gotten since the mode was first added with pd_watergate, which is absurd because there's 7 total maps in the gamemode. It plays well enough, with shorter buildings that you can traverse atop, but the real draw of this map is the seals and how damn cute they are. In terms of gameplay, though, it can be a bit lacking. It feels very cramped at times with how small the map is, and this makes certain classes feel disproportionately powerful, especially Gunslinger Engie. Regardless, though, it's not a bad experience, and it remains at the top of A Tier. Mainly because of the seals.
Cashworks
This one's been around a while. Never heard of it by name, but I had heard of its unique winding second point before, which is interesting, though in my experience the real gameplay comes in the choke immediately afterward. In terms of looks, it's quite nice, though not the most distinctive of this update. In terms of gameplay, it's also quite nice, though it tends to get very chokey as Payload often does. This may just be everyone still needing to learn the map, though. Also there was that day-1 bug where RED could just walk right into BLU spawn, which was interesting.
Rotunda
I mainly like this map because you can ride the train, I'll be real. That's not to say it isn't a great map in other regards as well, I just really like the trains. But regardless, this map has a stunning visual aesthetic, and I'd be shocked if it weren't the map with the most trains in all of TF2, which is certainly a proud accomplishment. The dilapidated train depot turned doomsday device storage facility is visually striking, and hiding around the McGuffin on the center point to capture it is interesting gameplay-wise, though it tends to get very spammy and the walls around the point combined with Engineers being able to set up within them means some very nasty and annoying nests can be made. It's also a very inviting map for projectile spam onto the point, with plenty of space above and an open roof to facilitate this. Gameplay-wise it's a mixed bag, but it's so visually interesting it can't go any lower than this.
B Tier-
Sharkbay
Remember when we all knew this map was being added way beforehand because Valve slipped up? Yeah, good times. This map has some neat, unique stuff going for it. The control point is a fishing boat, it has shark tanks in spawn, there's the sharks, obviously, and there's even a new kill icon for them. Pretty neat. While I love how this map looks, it tends to go very one-sided in terms of how it plays. I have yet to have a solid back-and-forth on this map, and one team usually rolls the other, though admittedly it has just released, and it may get better with time.
Reckoner
It's a solid 5cp map. The aesthetics are fairly unique. Doesn't really have anything too interesting about it, though, at least in terms of gameplay. I don't have much to complain about with Reckoner, but there isn't much that stands out about it to me. Comes with all the rolls and stalemates of any 5cp map.
Hardwood
Rounding out the bottom of B Tier we have Hardwood. It's a pretty good map. It generally plays fine in my experience. Three full points to capture give it a decent bit of length without stretching on like multi-stage Attack/Defend maps do. Visually, it's quite nice, but it doesn't really strike me as anything too special. It's well-done, but it isn't the most unique. Not much to really complain about, of course, but I can't lump all the good maps into S and A Tier, so here it sits, the lowest of the maps that I actually really like.
C Tier-
Pelican Peak
For a Capture the Flag map, Pelican Peak is great. A tad small, but it has a nice visual aesthetic with the fog and the alpine setting and the bridge over the center. Unfortunately, it's Capture the Flag, and it really doesn't do anything to remedy the usual problems the gamemode has, especially with only a couple routes into a frankly rather small intel room with a briefcase you have to climb up a small structure to get to. If Capture the Flag were a good mode, this map would be much higher. Unfortunately, it isn't.
D Tier-
Venice
Aesthetically, this map is fine. It's unique, taking place in, of course, Venice, Italy. However, there's a lot that's just a bit off about this map and makes it easily the weakest of the entire update. For one, the texturing feels a bit weird. Maybe it's just me, but in a lot of spots the textures just look off, particularly on the corners of buildings. I'd love to be more descriptive, but I am running on very little sleep and this is hard to describe. Love to see if anyone else sees it the same way or if I'm just losing my marbles. Also the floating cart on the first point looks really really weird. It doesn't look like it should be buoyant, and it doesn't have a custom model that would suggest it is nor anything guiding it along a track, so it doesn't look like it's floating in the water as much as levitating in it. But visuals aside, this map is hell to play on. It's chokey, has absolutely ridiculous sightlines without much cover, and if BLU doesn't roll, they're probably not making it to the final point. Aside from Pelican Peak which is only not-great because it's Capture the Flag, this is the only map in the entire update that I find frankly disappointing.
