Ppl in the comments would be like 'how have they never seen any of this before' and Jazz (runs the Autobot tiktok) would be like well they're new and ppl would be like 'ohh they just got here from Cybertron??' and he'd be like well yeah that too but no I mean they were just imbued with life and free will by vector sigma last week '........ yo soooo a random question I want to place before you...

which of the aerialbots do you think would be most likely to hire a bounty hunter/hitman to take out a decepticon AFTER the war?

FOr the sake of argument we'll say they wronged them in some way by killing someone close to them (maybe even another member of the aerial bots) or maybe they just have a regular old grudge. (example: maybe one of the stunticons or something) Reason they dont just go after them themselves is that its after the war, theyre in an area out of their jurisdiction, etc etc.

I cant really decide on my own so I wanted to get some feedback from you, the fandom.

For the sake of simplicity I'm limiting it to just hte original 5 Aerialbots. Heres a poll for an easy to see visual consensus, though I totally encourage you all to discuss the subject.

I like to think that at the beginning, there was at least a few good times for the trio when it came to flying. They probably would have had to put in a lot of practice with formations, maneuvers and proximity, especially account for Skywarp's teleportation. I referenced the pose off a trio of skydivers doing formation diving.

the tf boys are qualified skydivers and have their own company where they do tandem skydives. your friends booked it as a surprise for your bday and you have Major Concerns but you do it anyway.

Frankie would obviously be amazing at calming people down. And yeah, what if they had little microphones in helmets or something? and he hears her little gasp??

Smut would absolutely follow. I feel like I read a fic once where people got it on immediately after skydiving. 🤔 I wonder what fandom it was in. But like, you have a target landing area, right? so you aim, but maybe you end up in a field, and he rolls you over on your back... and then he lets them know on the radio you'll take your time walking back? (or something lmao)

or maybe he follows you home. 😏

when i got into transformers the first time around, my blorbo pipeline went skyfire > silverbolt > skydive

i still adore skyfire and silverbolt, but well. skydive's my ultimate fave <3

i like how he just has this vibe of him constantly being in some state of Anxiety

he's pretty special to me because him overcoming his fear is uh. very relatable (i used to get Very Stressed about dentist appointments and i only really got over the worst of my anxiety about them by mentally chanting "if silverbolt can then i can too" or something to that effect. i was like 15???)

another reason he's special to me is that his combiner wars fig was the very first tf toy i got for myself! with my own birthday money on my birthday, at that! to this day he's still my only aerialbot (though not for long. . . aotp aerials are on preorder. . .)

MY BELOVED LITTLE NOBODY!!!! guy who barely exists. im so obsessed with him. special interest character in my special interest team in my special interest media. doing this to him

ANYWAYS. notes:

1. i like making him weird. my ideal fireflight is like, a toned down jyushimatsu. hes an odd little engima to everyone but the other aerialbots. 2+3+9. cuteness aggression. i dont know. 4. hes extremely nobody. im never joking when i call him that. ive never actually sat down and counted but if hes said more than 15 lines across the entire 40 year history of this franchise ill be surprised. obviously i would like that to change. see aformentioned aerialbot sitcom one shot of my dreams 5. as far as like... attention inidividual aerialbots have received in fanon, hes one of the more popular ones? obviously thats still a very small amount of attention in the grand span of transformers fancontent. but WAY better than looking for skydive-focused stuff LMAO. but oh my god we have got to stop woobifying him. its really painful sometimes. like yeah hes childlike and easily distracted and fascinated by everything around him but like....... hes still a fighter. he'll still kick ass!!! 6. its genuinely embarrassing to me how much of THE CHARACTER he is. total kinnie bait for me specifically. i dont even want to talk about it im going to get all weird and way too autistic if i go on 7. speaking of autism. i was going to say stuff but then i remembered someone sent me an ask awhile ago so ill just link that. also for better or worse he is kinda The aerialbot to get hit w the autism beam. i remember seeing something on the tf plot bunny community a few years ago, and this post was from like 2008?? and it was total wooby bait but the bunny was abt him "suffering from autism" and it was like wow....... this specific thing sucks and its for the wrong reasons, but its still kinda nice to see that hes always had that vibe to people 8. i know who i was before. i was the inertia guy. but i think being the fireflight guy is better for me now. 10. changing this to be nobody but ME!!!! understands him. but not really its just that nobody else cares about him. tho i at least trust my beloved mutuals to not to *waves hands at aformentioned woobifying* all that to him

Garrison Work-boots:

Danner Reckonings Winter. (All things Bridgeport ACC, MCCC, WMLC, et cetera.) main garrison boots for North Carolina winters. These are also my to go to rucking boot paired with Fox River Socks and a thin dress sock liner.

Danner Reckonings hot weather. (RTAP/BRC/A&S/ITC/Rucking) these drainage hole covers rarely stay on with heavy use. 

Danner USMC Tropical Boot. 52121 R  (MCIWS-Course/CFT/O-Course/MAI/Jungle Warfare) I'm still not sure if these are better then my completely destroyed bates lites. These boots are sized differently then other Danner boots, also they tend to fall apart a lot quicker from hard use compared to the reckonings. Tropical boots are faux jungle boots, do not wear these for hiking rough mountainous terrain.

Water work:

Altama OTB shoes. (OTB/finning/VBSS/lifting/skydiving) simply a better version of the Converse Chuck Taylors high tops. Great for OTB & VBSS, decent for finning but not the best. Pretty flat so not great for running or rucking.

Poseidon One Shoe. this is a mix of the Converse Truck Taylors and the Aqua Lung dive boots. and are meant for fining.

Field work:

******Why I prefer non-Gore Tex? Moisture becomes trapped in Gore-Tex shoes, causing blisters and bacteria growth.*******

Oboz sawtooth II Low Non-Bdry version. (VBSS/climbing/very light rucking/CQB/patrolling/skydiving) these are great for gripping and hiking on rocky surfaces.

Lowa Zephyr Mid TF. Currently torture testing these. (VBSS/climbing/light rucking/CQB/patrolling/military freefall). these shoes offer ankle support that my oboz sawtooth II lows don’t have & are light.

Sneakers:

Hoka speedgoat 4. (trail running/asphalt/concrete)

Hoka bondi 6. (road running on asphalt & concrete)

Nike pegasus 38. (Road/track/PFT)

Regular wear:

Nike revolution 6. comfort shoe to deal with my near constant foot pain. these replaced my Adidas.

Reebok Nano. these were made for people with wide feet.  

Vans Sk8 Hi skate Notchback Pro shop. (For picking up San Clemente Milfs at Goodies) honestly wore these into the ground; via lifting at EOS & hard skydiving landings at Elsinore.
