AU AERIALBOTS

yo soooo a random question I want to place before you...

which of the aerialbots do you think would be most likely to hire a bounty hunter/hitman to take out a decepticon AFTER the war?

FOr the sake of argument we'll say they wronged them in some way by killing someone close to them (maybe even another member of the aerial bots) or maybe they just have a regular old grudge. (example: maybe one of the stunticons or something) Reason they dont just go after them themselves is that its after the war, theyre in an area out of their jurisdiction, etc etc.

I cant really decide on my own so I wanted to get some feedback from you, the fandom.

For the sake of simplicity I'm limiting it to just hte original 5 Aerialbots. Heres a poll for an easy to see visual consensus, though I totally encourage you all to discuss the subject.

I like to think that at the beginning, there was at least a few good times for the trio when it came to flying. They probably would have had to put in a lot of practice with formations, maneuvers and proximity, especially account for Skywarp's teleportation. I referenced the pose off a trio of skydivers doing formation diving.

might be a random question but do you have any neurodivergent headcanons for the aerialbots?

im not immune to hcing all of my faves as autistic....

ok but like in every superion bio theres mention of him tamping down/blocking out his components to become the cold, focused combiner that he is, and i feel like "supressing yourself so you can actually function" is just sooooo on the nose, yknow?

skydive obviously has a special interest in history and war strategy. helpful, when you're the strategist of the team. hes like, a genuine savant when it comes to flying, but he can easily get caught up infodumping abt the pilot who created the technique theyre trying to practice, instead of actually practicing. hes the kinda guy who has to make Everything about his special interest, but stays pretty quiet if he cant.

slingshot is SO classic Cant Regulate Emotions At All. he makes up for it by being a showoff and a compulsive liar. neither of these things make anyone like him much. he tends to have meltdowns with some frequency, which hasnt done much for his reputation either. his meltdowns are usually overwhelming for the other aerialbots too, so they end up scattering and leaving silverbolt to fix the situation.

many many feelings about fireflight autism bc he gets woobified a lot (i remember poking around the tf plotbunny lj a year or so ago and seeing a bunny from like 2008 abt him "suffering from autism" so hes at least always had That Vibe). hes just very observant. doesnt really have a lot to say! but not really a good listener either because he WILL start thinking abt that interesting rock poking out of the wall or that bird he saw while he was out earlier, and just completely misses whats being said to him. he and skydive are a good mix bc skydive can just talk and talk abt his jet fighter blorbos and fireflight can do fireflight things and theyre both fine with this. also think abt this ⬇️ kind of scenario a lot

hes also most likely to collect Weird Stuff. his whole personal shelf is full of bins of strange twigs or scrap metal or basically anything that catches his interest. hes a bit of a corvid tbh

if fireflight is the guy that everyone assumes is autistic, then air raid is absolutely the guy everyone assumes has adhd. his attention span doesnt exist, unless hes doing something he wants to do. hes the closest thing to an adrenaline junkie the team has. raid doesnt go off on his own the way fireflight does, but the odds of him actually following through on orders and plans are slim. he tends to run into walls and corners and doorways a lot (he and flighty both have spacial awareness issues, but fireflights are more obvious in alt mode, and air raids in bot mode).

silverbolt. has to manage all of them and himself. and its incredibly overwhelming. from the outside hes got the vibe that hes one bad incident away from shutting himself in a broom closet for the rest of the day to get away from it all. hes got a bad habit of getting stuck in his head, and his thoughts tend to doom spiral after awhile. but thats like half the reason the other aerialbots are so annoying at him, and he can uh. appreciate. their methods of getting him away from himself. most of the time. i like putting everyone in a planepile because i think bolt would like the feeling of the others weight on his wings. it makes him feel grounded

Garrison Work-boots:

Danner Reckonings Winter. (All things Bridgeport ACC, MCCC, WMLC, et cetera.) main garrison boots for North Carolina winters. These are also my to go to rucking boot paired with Fox River Socks and a thin dress sock liner.

Danner Reckonings hot weather. (RTAP/BRC/A&S/ITC/Rucking) these drainage hole covers rarely stay on with heavy use. 

Danner USMC Tropical Boot. 52121 R  (MCIWS-Course/CFT/O-Course/MAI/Jungle Warfare) I'm still not sure if these are better then my completely destroyed bates lites. These boots are sized differently then other Danner boots, also they tend to fall apart a lot quicker from hard use compared to the reckonings. Tropical boots are faux jungle boots, do not wear these for hiking rough mountainous terrain.

Water work:

Altama OTB shoes. (OTB/finning/VBSS/lifting/skydiving) simply a better version of the Converse Chuck Taylors high tops. Great for OTB & VBSS, decent for finning but not the best. Pretty flat so not great for running or rucking.

Poseidon One Shoe. this is a mix of the Converse Truck Taylors and the Aqua Lung dive boots. and are meant for fining.

Field work:

******Why I prefer non-Gore Tex? Moisture becomes trapped in Gore-Tex shoes, causing blisters and bacteria growth.*******

Oboz sawtooth II Low Non-Bdry version. (VBSS/climbing/very light rucking/CQB/patrolling/skydiving) these are great for gripping and hiking on rocky surfaces.

Lowa Zephyr Mid TF. Currently torture testing these. (VBSS/climbing/light rucking/CQB/patrolling/military freefall). these shoes offer ankle support that my oboz sawtooth II lows don’t have & are light.

Sneakers:

Hoka speedgoat 4. (trail running/asphalt/concrete)

Hoka bondi 6. (road running on asphalt & concrete)

Nike pegasus 38. (Road/track/PFT)

Regular wear:

Nike revolution 6. comfort shoe to deal with my near constant foot pain. these replaced my Adidas.

Reebok Nano. these were made for people with wide feet.  

Vans Sk8 Hi skate Notchback Pro shop. (For picking up San Clemente Milfs at Goodies) honestly wore these into the ground; via lifting at EOS & hard skydiving landings at Elsinore.

ok, i got down! there's a little pit stop island lol. hilariously when i skydive my brain still wants to use motion controls...i complained about them in ss but they feel natural sometimes

what i find so interesting about some of the evil leaving link's body when he gets an upgrade is that in other zelda games (namely oot/mm) link heals everyone else at the expense of himself...in this game, he's healing himself, bit by bit...

Could I skydive in chest binder?

sorry this is long they're eating me alive, and these are only like. a few from many

- Saxton often invites Bidwell to join him on a trip to hunt exotic animals, but most of the time Bidwell declines as he can't leave his work unattended. If Saxton insists on it, he will go with him. Pros are he could use a bit of time to relax a bit during the trip, though it mostly involved Saxton punching beasts and grilling steaks and camping in the wild, if geographical conditions are favourable he would able to enjoy laying on the grass with Saxton gazing at the starry night sky, a getaway from the hustle and bustle. Saxton told Bidwell he used to camp like this when he was alone training under Darling's coaching and another once with Mags.

- rare occasion of Bidwell skydiving with Saxton (ok I'm not sure how Bidwell would react in this scenario but it's cute and funny to think of, bonus if they jumped off from Jerry's plane)

- Secret messages are passed at work through sticky notes or memos, with furtive glances when among others.

- Saxton rarely has someone close enough to spend time with, especially since he broke up with Margaret. However, he would talk to Bidwell sometimes after work, having heart-to-heart conversations over a bottle of liquor. This was a rare moment when Saxton allowed himself to be vulnerable to someone. Bidwell always listened. He knew it would be unwise to deal with personal issues, but he couldn't help developing feelings for Saxton, unsure whether it was platonic attraction or romantically.

- In pre-relationship Saxton would become jealous if anyone appeared to have a good time with Bidwell. Once, he felt bitter when he saw Pauling and Bidwell chatting and laughing in a corridor.

-Bidwell assists Saxton with most of the important paperwork. When he leans closer to his armchair to give more explanation, he notices Saxton staring at him for a few moments. He pauses and asks if Saxton is listening, to which Saxton simply replies with a smiley face. Bidwell's reaction is not pleased.

- They both can cook, but Saxton is fastidious about meat dishes, while Bidwell made most of the hearty meals for two.

-They were attending TF Industries' annual banquet. In the middle of the event, Saxton found Bidwell alone on the rooftop deck because he was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. Later, they slow-danced to the song "The Way You Look Tonight," which was playing from a distance in the ballroom.

-Saxton often uses pet names for Bidwell, 'Darl', 'Biddy', 'Bid', 'Babe', even call it during work hours, which never fails to make Bidwell's ears redden. Bidwell tried to come out with pet names like' big guy', 'big boy', 'Sax' or the reuse of 'Mister Hale' with a teasing tone during the later stage of a relationship.

-Like many other assistants to overlords, Bidwell is aware and must defend himself from potential threats that occasionally arise. Saxton is unaware of the phenomenon until he discovers a man lying in Bidwell's office. The next thing he sees is Bid sitting in the corner, blood stains on his white shirt, while his suit jacket clung to his abdomen. Saxton immediately carried him to the nearest medic he could find.

-Saxton has more experience than Bidwell, he thinks. There were times he imagined Saxton would play it rough and aggressively with his partners. Surprisingly unlike his usual demeanour Saxton treats him gently like a fragile porcelain and almost too careful that makes him seems clumsy. Bidwell let out a snicker told him he doesn't mind a little roughousing.

-Bidwell lying in Saxton's arms, half awake while Bidwell's hand lazily fondles his Australia-shaped chest hair, mumbling to Saxton and asking where he was born, Saxton replied 'Isn't it obvious to you?', he realised Bidwell is talking about his chest, later Saxton finger point out a specific area of his chest hair.

- something tells me that Saxton will end up like his grandad Barnabus, both having longevity because of the australium in their blood, watching their loved ones wither away, leaving them alone in the world without another.
