I have been ruminating on how fucked Decepticon sole custody Victory is and I can't help but think, 'this can be salvage'

Tarn hates Victory because he think they are emtionally weak but he has to acknowledge that they have proven to have the might to defeat Megatron, earning the leadership through conquest, the Decepticon way, but they are inexperience and emotionally vulnerable while being surrounded by the likes of Starscream and Soundwave. One is Starscream and the other one can be suspected to have more personal loyalty to Megatron and might try to sabotage the new rightful ruler in revenge.

Due to all of that, Tarn steps up to mentor Victory and safeguard them against potential treachery, however begrudgingly, it is his role in the Decepticon army. Eventually, his reluctant disappear as he saw their potential and how they fit the Decepticon ideal, they are already the better Decepticon strenghtwise to Megatron, they can better through everything else too, they just need some guidance from a loyal Decepticon officer.

He's still sad about Megatron but this IS the Decepticon way

As for Soundwave, his loyalty to Megatron, however strong, is conditional on the fact he conflate Megatron and the Decepticon Cause as one in the same. Megatron was the be all, end all to him because the Decepticon Cause is the ultimate be-all, end-all for him. So while Megatron is gone, the Decepticon is still there and if Victory is out of the picture, Starscream would be the next in charge. So however unwilling, Soundwave still serves.

Another thing, Soundwave will now be force to actually think about the actions Megatron had taken during his reign because he will be force to defend Megatron's actions and decisions to his new leader, the one he had watched grow up and shape by all of Megatron's actions and decisions. Soundwave was maybe a yesman to Megatron but he's not mindless. And it will be the start for him to start seperating Megatron and the Decepticon Cause. And maybe even if his relationship with Victory can't go back to the way it was before, he still see Megatron as a dear friend despite everything, he could still serve as a loyal Decepticon soldier, and if the cassetticons search Victory out again, that their decisions as their own person.

Also, the 'Victory beating up Megatron ✨legally✨' thing is turning a bit fanfic-y, I meant for it to be a series of event to lead toward Victory beating the paint off of Megatron on live television via humourous narration but it turn kind of fanfic-y, is that ok with you?

I love this actually, I do think this is genuinely what would happen. Things will be rocky at the start but victory will develop genuine relationships with tarn, Soundwave, etc. All of them have their various reasons,

Especially because my tarn is not a Megatron fanatic, he is a Decepticon fanatic! He may be obsessed with megatron but he follows con ways and customs and he will stand by whoever is strong

I’m so tired of being angry. I don’t even have a reason to be. I screamed at my old dog for going outside and coming back in after a minute. I almost fell down and began to sob. But I can’t. I don’t know why. I’m feeling but I can’t feel. And it sucks, ‘cause nothing makes sense right now. And I hate that I can’t make sense of it. I hate myself because I can never make sense of myself or anything I do. And I’m just so tired. Tired of everything and nothing. And I don’t know what to do.
