god i wish dr. tezla was in a different show. i rewatched ar recently and i like dr tezla's character i like him A LOT... but he's so fumbled. they fumbled hard with ultimate race in my humble opinion ! i really wish for him to be explored more ngl

i know its easy in fandom settings to kinda just. keep to jokes about the shitty characters but as a writer and person who dives deep into analysis there is so much i also just love about shitty characters. tho there is also the fact that this series really misses the mark on writing too and it makes me want to do more with them. and i think its too easy to just summarize a character like to tezla to one or two aspects- he got a ton of drivers killed, he wants a super powerful alien relic. which is certainly two relevant points. but im also insanely driven to him because there is so so much we just dont know.

remembering this series left on a cliff hanger and certainly had more lore to drop- tezla is a main character who we really dont learn much about even by that point. the intro to the movie sets up some major mystery and while we learn he was stealing technology we still dont really know all the Why’s. he’s an oddly inserted character who is and isn’t an antagonist. i mean, Gelorum is the villain, yeah. But tezla was also doing bad things.. but also the main characters worked for him by choice(which is such an interesting plot point to make)- the main characters had little option on who to work with because as far as they knew, tezla was the only one who could go forward... but even the main characters are in the dark as to who exactly he is, and what his real intentions are.

ultimately its a huge shame the series didnt get seen through- aside from the cliff hanger regarding the SIlencerz there is a huge chunk of tezla’s motivations that we are missing and it would’ve been nice to see that. from being a mysterious guy in WR who’s development kinda just went nowhere, acceleracers did continue that sense of mystery, all while never implying he was “good” too. i cannot help but be intrigued to analyze and write what could’ve been with a character like that
