My favorite text log from Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Just like the quintessential horror game text log, absolutely bare bones and lazy as fuck. So good. They were like "hey can you put a horror game diary entry here?" and someone on the writing team was like "ok"

Day 1: I made a sick-nasty unstoppable monster and it's so cool even DR FRANKENSTEIN would've loved it. But my fucking IDIOT dumbass colleague (what was his name again?) doesn't think it's wise to keep my invincible killing machine in a thin glass cryogenic tank right next to my desk. He says the creature will go wild and escape. He is a FOOL.

Day 2: The creature went wild and escaped. I was a fool.

Eu ando tão cansada. Triste. Me sentindo sozinha, perdida. Nos últimos anos, fui diagnosticada com tanta coisa: TOC, ansiedade, depressão, TDAH. Depois, tentei me matar e fui internada em um hospital psiquiátrico. Lá, veio outro diagnóstico: borderline. Quando saí, troquei de psiquiatra duas vezes, e a última me disse que eu tenho transtorno bipolar.

E eu me pergunto: o que é isso? Quem eu sou? Tenho tudo isso? Só uma parte? Não sei mais. E o que dói de verdade não são os nomes que colocam no que eu sinto, mas essa sensação constante de que nunca vou ser normal.

Vivo tomando remédios que me lembram todos os dias que algo em mim “não funciona direito”. Não posso comer o que eu gosto, não posso beber um drink sem culpa, e quando olho para o espelho, vejo 40 kg a mais acumulados em três anos (por conta dos remédios). A última novidade foi mais remédios para tentar “consertar” o que está errado no meu corpo.

Sabe o que é pior? Eu gasto dinheiro todo mês pra me tratar, mas, no fundo, me pergunto: isso está me ajudando de verdade? Ou só está me mantendo aqui, viva, mas fazia? Porque, se for isso, já estava assim antes de pensar em me matar.

Eu queria sumir. Queria não carregar tanto peso no peito. Porque, no fim das contas, só queria me sentir normal. Só queria ser eu — mas nem sei mais quem eu sou.

Man, how many of those prosthetics are out there? How many people are no longer going to be able to get maintenance now that Anderson is shut down. Or an adequate replacement?

Sorry, I know your Anderson Robotics is still in operation, but seeing all the talk about our prosthetics made me think about it.

I dont get people who write a Wyll that gets nervous and an Astarion who doesn't. Wyll gets tortured in front of the group and still doesn't miss a beat, aside from if you let his father die, I think there's only one or two lines where his dialogue strays from "affable/charming". Good luck trying to get through that shell, lol. Meanwhile Astarion has dozens of shrill, nervous, panicked dialogue lines. Astarion is a character who is influenced strongly by player choice and never goes it alone whereas Wyll leaves the camp if you fuck him around too much.

I feel like if you make Astarion cool and suave you are falling for the fa��ade that is supposed to be deconstructed by the viewer and if you make Wyll fumbling, naïve and nervous you are forgetting that this man has been locked in a 24/7 one-on-one psycho-sexual mental battle with a billion-year-old demon from the 9th circle of Hell for the entirety of his adult life at this point, so. Jot that down.

I was talking to @vaptainhammer about how the only CGI in Oppenheimer is that in some international releases, Florence Pugh was CGIed to be wearing a dress instead of just having it all out, and he ended his joke with “please clap” so I went with Raymond and he responded with Edgeworth bowing and I’m just sure that, wherever he is now, this is exactly what Gregory Edgeworth would have wanted.
