What lovely kind and frankly undeserved praise! Thank you. I wish I had his passion and his way with words. But I appreciate the sentiment and I'm happy if my blog encourages anyone to appreciate nature a little more or even just to take a walk. You can go out and look at a flower and it isn't pixels. The light goes from the sun to the flower and then to your eyes. You can reach out and touch an actual petal with your finger. Some scent molecules go straight from the flower to the detectors in your nose. You can walk around it and see it from different sides. Come back another time and the light might be different or raindrops and dew might be shining on the petals. A bee might be taking nectar and you're the only one seeing it. At times it can feel miraculous. To take it a little farther I'll quote Richard Jefferies: “It is eternity now. I am in the midst of it. It is about me in the sunshine; I am in it as the butterfly in the light-laden air. Nothing has to come; it is now. Now is eternity; now is the immortal life.” Okay it isn't always like that but when it is...wow! Anyway, thank you!

I'm really enjoying Venus in furs. I like its simplicity and that it's written like a dairy. I can also very much relate to Severin and his neediness, desperation and passion. I admire his strength and courage to freely display a kind of behaviour that *majority* of people would most likely cringe upon. It's true what they say that it takes courage and strength to be *weak*. Reading the book already made me sad a few times and I wasn't sure was it due to hormones or the fact that I can relate to it so much or both, but I'm really enjoying it so far and I want to prolong reading it because it's, unfortunately, pretty short.

With Taylor having her debut as Parr Friday evening in Cincinnati (a thousand bravos to her, she looks great, I bet she sounded great, and I envy anyone who got to see her!), we have a slight insight into what appears to be the second alternate put-in rehearsal that happened 26 April:

Based on this photo, it seems earlier the same day (Friday, 26 April) the alternates had their second put-in with the following performers:

Kristina: Aragon

Taylor: Boleyn

Amaya: Seymour

Danielle: Cleves

Aryn: Howard

Carlina: Parr

This indicates that Taylor's first put-in was for Parr, and Amaya and Carlina were either on for Aragon or Cleves (smart that production had Amaya and Carlina start with either of these as it's the two roles Wesley doesn't cover and can't entirely help with). This leaves the outstanding put-ins to be Taylor for Howard, and Carlina and Amaya for either Aragon or Cleves (which ever one they haven't done yet).

I'll be seeing this tour tomorrow evening, so I'm incredibly jealous to be one-night off from seeing a debut performance (I got to see Jimmie "J.J" Jeter's debut as Hamilton in Chicago and it was SUCH a special treat!)! But regardless, I'm so incredibly excited to see this production and all these new perspectives on the queens (and to see Cassie as Boleyn for the first time in a well-deserved principal status after seeing her twice as alternate Boleyn)! They're just going to SMASH it!

Antonio Bernini: a newly Embraced Giovanni, he spent most of his life isolated in a seminary in Northern Italy in order to escape the ghosts and spirits he has always seemed to attract. Obsessed with researching religious and occult lore, he now lives in an abandoned greenhouse and is constantly surrounded by wraiths.

Caterina Bernini: Antonio's sister and Sire, she is the Giovanni Prince of Sirmione in Northern Italy. She tries to keep her brother safe and hidden while also protecting her territory and her court. Differently from her brother, her Necromancy focuses more on flesh and bones.

Marco: a hunter in the Society of Leopold, he saved Antonio's life when a wraith was possessing him when he was still mortal. The two have grown extremely close and they are in a relationship, but ever since Antonio's Embrace they have to be careful not to let their sects discover their meetings.

Gabriele: the Nosferatu Sheriff of Sirmione, he is deeply loyal to Prince Caterina and her court. He acts both as head of surveillance in her territory and as her personal bodyguard.
