Although they manage to overcome in the struggle for survival known as the Crusades, humanity's losses are so great that even after several decades pass, their emotional wounds remain unable to fully heal. Sin Kiske, the child of a human and a Gear, heads to his father Ky and mother Dizzy's wedding ceremony. Their wedding breaks the ultimate taboo: a union between a human and a Gear. Even with the world at peace, it took many years for such a ceremony to come to fruition. Despite the complex array of emotions surrounding it, the wedding ceremony is met with blessings. When suddenly, a mysterious girl appears… The fated child inheriting Gear blood–and the mysterious girl who despises Gears. Their meeting would shake the world.

Notes:
- I only based this on their Japanese VAs.
- I only include their latest role in JJBA. (Ex. Aizawa’s voice actor not just voiced Abbachio but also Terence T. D’Arby. Same also with Overhaul’s voice actor; Bruford and Tiziano.)
- I didn’t also include VAs roles in the game, JJBA All Star Battle, Eyes of Heaven, and Phantom Blood (Ex. Todoroki Shoto - Johnny Joestar, Sir Nighteye - Gyro Zeppeli, Present Mic - Vanilla Ice, Ashido Mina - Hirose Yasuho, Mineta Minoru - Sugimoto Reimi, Dabi - Secco, Midnight - Miuccia Miuller, and Best Jeanist - Dio Brando).
- I’m not sure if it’s complete so there might be some characters (with same voice actors/actress) that I’ve missed out!

Since you've played the demo, what are your personal impressions on the new Valkyrie character compared to Lenneth?
I'm sure a lot of first-timers have been listening to the English Dub, but I IMMEDIATELY switched to the Japanese Dub for several reasons:
Maria Valkyrie/Akari Kito: voices Nezuko in Kimetsu no Yaiba, Shoka in NEO: The World Ends with You, Barbara in Genshin Impact…
Eygon/Tetsu Inada: voices Leo Whitefang in Guilty Gear obviously.
Cypher/Akira Ishida: Amane Nishiki in BlazBlue~
Odin/Kenjiro Tsuda: Vlov Arkhangel in Melty Blood Type Lumina Also he's the voice of JACK in Stranger of Paradise/among other famous fantasy voices (and Kaiba in YuGiOh). I fondly remember him most as the voice of the Warrior in Dragon's Crown!
Fenrir/Ryusei Nakao: Frieza/Cooler in Dragonball FighterZ
Kristoffer/Maaya Uchida: Zero in Drakengard 3
Taika/Saori Hayami: Orie/Ruby/Mai in BlazBlue Crosstag Battle~
Hilde/Yui Ishikawa: 2B/2P in Nier: Automata/Soul Calibur 6, also Mina Majikina in Samurai Shodown~
And well, you wouldn't notice it if you focused solely on the English dub, but actually the opening Story NARRATOR is Lenneth Valkyrie's Japanese voice actress Yumi Tōma… nice little easter egg there.
Anyway, to give my overall impressions of the voice work and characters so far…
Maria Valkyrie is very confident in her abilities (and respectful of Odin-Sama), though she's pretty brutal towards the Undead (which is ironic since Valkyrie Profile 2 paints the Undead in a different political stroke).
She says a lot of famous and familiar one-liners if you've been playing the VP games all this while (they're easier to notice in the Japanese dubs compared to English).
"By the Holy Laws you shall be Obliterated!" etc etc.
If you compared Valkyries to Sailor Moon, it's that kind of corndog-superheroine Sentai dialogue… but it's also part of what makes them so appealing.
I would say that, just like with Lenneth, she's dealing with a lot of background drama and baggage from Odin-sama's previous conflict among the lesser deities and beasts of the world below him.
He makes it seem like it's her task to Purify all that is Unclean, but if you read between the lines, that's not the whole story going on… just as before.
The progression starts with a brief jog through an "illusion" that Odin created to boost Maria's confidence as a warrior, but then you're sent on a mission to learn what happened in Be'elz Castle (ironically a play on the name Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies).
Eventually you come across some rather nasty Undead, and the music turns rather dark (which I'd compare to music like Dipan Castle), and eventually once you kill the boss of the area a "certain person" appears that Maria Valkyrie says "she saw before".
In other words, the whole mission is suspicious, and Odin is the main suspect… but he's not the only tricky Politician in this game of Gods and Mortals… there's lots to this mythology to discover, and you'll find out a ton as you dig up flowers that tell the true story (flowers, by the way symbolize people who have died tragically in the conflicts and incidents that happen in this story), as well as talk to everyone involved (including a certain Valkyrie named Hilde, who may not necessarily support your endeavors).
Anyway, so far, there's a lot of mystery and Drama (and that's actually a Hallmark of VP games, so it's good to be back in the thick of a good story here).
Expect lots of sad tragedy and chaos, among other bits of drama, but also you'll come across some cool moments too, guaranteed, especially when your weapons (and Valkyrie) get powered up.

Paradise!Inosuke AU: Tetsue
Tetsue
Name: Tetsue
Kanji: 鉄恵
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Height: 5’11” (180 cm)
Affiliation: Eternal Paradise Faith
Occupation: Blacksmith; Bladesmith, Inosuke’s Caretaker (formerly)
Base of Operations: Paradise Faith Cult
Status: Alive
Relatives: Koushi (Father), Unnamed Deceased Mother
Appearance: Tetsue is a curvaceous young woman with a slightly toned and muscular build. She has long black hair and dark gray eyes. She puts her hair in a ponytail for when she’s in the forge and in a braid for formal events. There is a small scar on her left cheek. Usually, she wears a blue komon kimono with green flower patterns. Her nagoya obi is green. She also wears white tabi and standard zori. For formal events, she wears a green irotomesode kimono with a design of blue lotuses and a blue obi.
Personality: Tetsue first shows herself to be a diligent and quiet young woman who often kept to herself. She appears to be aloof, especially to outsiders and recent cult members. Despite her reserved exterior, Tetsue is a kind, outgoing, and hardworking young woman who loves her father and her fellow neighbors. She enjoys talking to Kouga, a monk from the monastery, along with other blacksmiths and women her age. She takes great pride in her blacksmith works and would be enraged if someone would carelessly ruin them. She also has a protective side of her. As a child, she was more expressive with her emotions and talkative.
History: Tetsue was born to a poor couple in the Saitama Prefecture, who was in heavy debt to a cruel landlord. After her mother’s death when she was 20 months old, her father, Koushi, ran away with her when he learned that his landlord planned to sell her off for money. When arriving in the Eternal Paradise, he begged for the sanctuary in the temple. Douma, seeing their plight, took them in. Koushi is happy again as he works with the cult members while Tetsue was enjoying her time there. One day, when she was with her father collecting wood, his former landlord found him and tried to force him back. When they ran away, the landlord stabbed him, causing permanent damage to his left arm. Tetsue’s cries can be heard by the cult members and the landlord was subdued by them. Tetsue and Koushi were taken to the infirmary. The cult members had the landlord tied to a tree for “judgment”. She was allowed to stay in the temple for a while with other children her age. As her father recovers in the infirmary, Tetsue took interest with the forge and its blacksmiths. When Inosuke was a baby, she was entrusted with his care whenever Douma had to perform his duties or Kotoha meditating. As she gets older, she becomes more skillful in her blacksmith works, which includes creating tools and weapons. This leads her to create her own iron war fans and learn tessenjutsu. In recent years, she has been open to possibly getting married. She is rather hesitant about it as she worries for her father. When Inosuke announced his pilgrimage, she was worried for him as he never ventured outside of the surrounding forest. However, Gracious Founder ensures her that he’ll be safe.
Abilities:
Enhanced Stamina
Enhanced Strength
Master Blacksmith
Fighting Style: Tessenjutsu
Tetsue’s fighting style differs from Douma. Her fans can fold to make them iron rods, allowing them to strike the opponent. She opens them up to shield herself.
Equipment: Iron War Fans
Kimetsu Academy: Tetsue Ishikawa is a third year student from the Mugwort Class and the president of the Engineering Club. Her father owns a repair shop and is able to repair anything despite only having one working arm. She often wears a pair of protective glasses.

Project Sakura Wars will be set twelve years after the events of Sakura Wars 5: So Long, My Love. In this new entry, the Combat Revues, which previously protected nations from evil while working incognito, are well known to all.
Indeed, the Great Combat Reveue World War is more of a global sporting event, in which the Combat Revues from across the globe gather in Japan’s Imperial Capital to compete in a tournament. These disparate groups then compete to determine which country’s kouma-crushing corps reigns supreme. By the time Project Sakura Wars begins, two such events have already taken place, and the nations are gathering in the Imperial capital for the third. What should be a peaceful event, though, suddenly takes a turn for the serious.
Sega’s email communication describes the story as:
The stage is set in a romanticized version of 1940s Imperial Tokyo. 10 years ago, a cataclysm resulted in the devastating loss of the Imperial Combat Revue of Tokyo, the capital’s global defense force operating out of the Imperial Theater. The theater has since fallen on hard times and risks closure. As captain of the new Tokyo revue, it’s up to you to mend the hearts of your troops and restore the Imperial Theater back to its former glory!
Project Sakura Wars was first revealed on April 14, 2018 at Sega Fes, and was originally tentatively slated to launch prior to March 31, 2019. On April 19, 2019, Sega Holdings President and CEO Haruki Satomi confirmed that the project will be “more than a game.”
A western release was not confirmed until March 29, though Japanese Asian releases were confirmed to be in the works.
On March 27, all-female theater troupe OSK Revue announced that they will host a new Sakura Wars musical in Kyoto. The production which will be an operatic adaptation of 2001’s Sakura Wars Kayou Show story The Sea God’s Villa.
Sakura Wars is an original project by Sega CS2 R&D (later Overworks) and Red Entertainment. Ohji Hiroi (Moeyo Ken, Far East of Eden), Satoru Akahori (Saber Marionette J, Martian Successor Nadesico), and Kosuke Fujishima (Ah! My Goddess, You’re Under Arrest!) are listed as the original creators of the franchise.
The first title appeared on the Sega Saturn in 1996. The initial entry, while released only in Japan at the time, was estimated to have a 200,000 lifetime sales goal. The title sold 205,270 units in its opening week, which was roughly 57% of the launch shipment. At the time, the title was seen as having the largest debut for a Sega title to date. It would go on to move 359,485 copies throughout the Saturn’s lifespan.
Since then, the title has gone on to spawn:
Five main-line titles
Fifteen spin-off games
An anime TV series by Madhouse
Five anime OVA series
Seven manga and light novel adaptations
Sixteen high-profile live stage shows
The final main-line title in the series, Sakura Wars V: So Long, My Love was released in North America by NIS America. The title is available on Sony’s PlayStation 2, as well as Nintendo Wii console.
