"I do my best to be as clean as possible. I work with grease and gears, but that doesn’t mean I have to look like the machines I work on. Hygiene is extremely important and I have a rather lengthy routine that I follow religiously. Clean hair, clean face, clear skin, it's something I take great pride in." The Garlean nibbles at her bottom lip a bit, "Though, truth be told, I used to dress much more... cleanly. I used to never want to be seen in such things as button up shirts and overalls. It was how I was raised, but since coming here, I've learned that it's not as important to me anymore for people to think of me as prim and proper. There's no one here that cares enough to judge me about my clothing. Where I come from gives them plenty to talk about, clothes and hairstyle are irrelevant."

Pros and Cons of Dating Tessana Bas Daragan

Pros:

Determined: Tess is driven, when there is something she wants, she’ll do whatever she has to to get there. This would extend into her private life as well, she would do whatever it took to make her partner happy, to make sure they were safe and well cared for.

Secret Keeper: Tess is a pro at keeping secrets, she will never share one that is not hers to share and she would carry it to her grave if it was required of her.

Kind: Despite how people may see her in Eorzea, where she is in a constant state of discomfort and fear, Tess is kind hearted. She doesn’t like to see bad things happen, but she is certainly more so to those she cares for.

Cons:

Distrusting: It takes a lot of time and effort to get Tess’s full trust. She will superficially trust someone if they prove useful to do so, but she will rarely fully trust someone. 

Garlean: Though not all would think of this as a con, it’s listed as one because Tess is still, presently, loyal to the Empire, even if she doesn’t agree with the methods that are used, she can’t fault the overall goal to unite the world under one rule; Garlean rule.

Low self esteem: Tess puts on a brave face, but behind that facade, she doubts herself almost constantly. Was this the right choice? Did she dare go after that goal? Did she miss an opportunity? Would she ever amount to anything? And so much more. It is often difficult for her to accept she’s done something work.

Garlean loyalist undercover: She’s presently in Eorzea to help her cousin and convince her to come back with her. While here, she is trying to sustain herself with going out to markets and trying to make at least some gil. Other Garleans would be nice to meet! (You MIGHT know she’s Garlean but not that she has a third eye. We need to talk about that before you just toss it out there.)

Mechanic: She knows a good deal about magitek, of course, with her father as an engineer. She tries to make a little gil with making repairs on mechanical objects.

Miner and botanist: She may not be from around Eorzea but she made her living back home as a gatherer. She’s tougher than she looks and might be found out and about prospecting rocks and gathering herbs.

Garlean loyalist undercover (darker plot): She’s Garlean in hostile land, should she be found out, it could spell disaster! (We will need to talk ooc about stuff before going this route but I’m all for it!)

I really can’t stress it enough that she keeps her third eye hidden. There are plenty of ways to figure out she’s Garlean but nothing that would instantly make you go “she’s Garlean----she must have a third eye!”. I do NOT tolerate metagaming.

I’m on CST and my play times are usually in the evenings, weekends are a bit of a toss up but I prefer to plan my rps so it can be worked out. I rarely do spontaneous rp, though that doesn’t mean I don’t ever, just means sometimes it’s hard for me to just be like “Lets rp right now!” 

I’m on Balmung. I don’t presently have a copy of her anywhere else, so if you’re on another server, we’ll have to rp here on tumblr, via discord, or instanced (I don’t really want a lot of discord rp, and I often will miss/lose rp threads here on tumblr, so best bet is working something out ingame)

I have very few hard lines for rp, and those lines are just “We need to talk about it and plan it out” and that is: serious maiming (losing a limb) and perma death. I like darker themes and have no problems with them at all, but they do require a little planning just to make sure everything makes sense and flows good!
