Optimus x reader | Age of Extinction
Tumblr media
Ver 1.
[Autobot reader]
[Old draft]
[Not proof read]
Optimus stood with the last of the Autobots, hearing the distant rumble of another vehicle approaching the group. “Who’s that?” Tessa asked, gripping her dad’s arm tightly.
“Well, well,” Hound chuckled, a grin spreading across his face. “Who’s late to the party?”
As you got closer, you transformed from your vehicle mode, the shifting of metal plates echoing in the air. You stretched your body, feeling the satisfying click of joints settling into place, and looked ahead at the familiar faces. Optimus moved forward, his optics widening. “Thank the AllSpark,” he murmured, standing directly in front of you.
You placed your servo on his chest plate, feeling the warmth of his spark beneath the metal, and rested your helm against his chest, a moment of relief and reunion passing between you.
“His girlfriend?” Shane quipped, eyebrows raised in curiosity.
“No…” Cade shook his head slowly, his eyes locked on the tender moment unfolding before him. “His wife.”
“Sparkmate,” Drift corrected Cade, stepping forward. “It’s a connection that transcends time and space, a pure light of love that only comes once in a lifetime. Their sparks are intertwined, destined to find each other no matter the odds. It’s the rarest and most profound connection two Cybertronians can share.”
“Yap yap yap,” Crosshairs waved Drift off. “You didn’t need to go into detail for these pesky people.”
Cade looked up at the green bot and shouted, “Pesky or not, where’s your sparkmate?”
“Where’s yours?” Crosshairs shot back.
“Gone,” Cade replied, his voice heavy. “But out of all that, I got my beautiful little girl right here,” he said, pulling Tessa closer to him.
Tessa looked up at her dad with a mixture of love and sadness, wrapping her arms around him in a comforting hug.
“Optimus…” you sighed heavily, your optics dimming as you struggled to keep your emotions in check.
“I know,” he said softly, his voice a comforting rumble. He gently brought his servo to your faceplate, the touch grounding you in the moment. “I know.”
Optimus turned his helm, his optics scanning the area for any remaining threats before he began to lead you towards the others. His presence was reassuring, a steady anchor amidst the chaos.
As you walked, the weight of recent battles and close calls pressed heavily on your shoulders. You glanced around, taking in the damaged surroundings and the weary faces of your comrades.
When you spotted Bumblebee, his bright yellow armor scuffed and dented but his spirit unbroken. You made your way towards him, your steps quickening. For a moment, you just stood there, staring at him, taking in the familiar, comforting sight of your friend.
Without a word, you closed the distance and wrapped your arms around him tightly. Bumblebee hesitated for just a second before returning the hug. The embrace was a silent exchange of support and relief.
“Glad to see you’re okay,” Bumblebee buzzed through the radio.
“Same to you, Bee,” you replied, your voice muffled against his armor. “Same to you.”

Extra: Day 14: End of the Road/Starting for Home (Optimus Prime x Cade Yegear)
Really? You spilt your indulgent shake on this random trucker and accidentally caught two strays, Yeager.
Another fanart for this fic to serve as a send off for the event, felt the last day needed a proper finale piece.

EEEEEEEK i just posted my first published fanfic over on ao3!!! if you are a fan of found family, domestic fluff, human/robot romance, and healing trauma through healthy interpersonal relationships, then this fic is for YOU! preview under the cut!
He remembered the first time Tessa had stepped foot inside the farmhouse. He’d been so nervous that she would hate it, that she would resent having almost no surviving memory of her mother in the house because of the explosion. Instead, she’d seemed thrilled that Cade was finally moving on, which had been a hell of a surprise.
“You really aren’t mad?” he’d asked her.
Tessa smiled at him, that sunny grin that had always reminded him so much of Emily, and touched his arm. “No, Dad. I’m not mad. Sure, I miss Mom sometimes, but I was so little when she passed that I don’t really remember her that well.” She shrugged, the shape of her smile softening. “I’ve met so many people that care about me. I’ve done things no one else has done. And I graduated high school, just like you both wanted! She wasn’t here for any of it, but I know she’d be proud of me. I know she’d be proud of you, too. I think she just wanted you to be happy, and it seems like you’re finally getting there.”
Cade, swallowing around the lump in his throat, had felt tears burning his eyes. “I don’t want to forget about her.”
“You don’t have to,” Tessa said. Her hand squeezed his arm a little. “But it is okay to move on. After everything we’ve been through, we deserve to be happy. You don’t need ghosts haunting you, not when you’ve got giant alien robots to look after.”
“When the hell’d you get so wise?” He’d pulled her into a tight hug, his face tucked against her shoulder. If there had been tears dampening the fabric of her shirt, neither of them said anything about it.

Cade is such a freaking dad watch this lol.
These are his babies now I don't make the rule. Even when it comes the day they're full grown dinobots and tower over Cade they are still going to be his sparklings.
I just love the metal image of this giant T-Rex bot who's been gone in space for a few months running to Cade and snuggling into this small human wagging their tail talking about how much they had missed their dad.

the voices are talking again and they have concluded on the random idea of -- Tf 141: Transformers AU but they're like Cade Yeager and you're Tessa Yeargar (this is gonna be more on the found family genre, ok?)
Imagine the setting is based on the movie "Age of Extinction"
The four are just strugglin' to make ends meet as country-side mechanics out in the wild west. They could barely feed each other, living by each passing pay they could scrape together with all the odd jobs they pick up on the side. From mowing lawns, fixing plumbing, working in construction, double timing shifts at groceries and mechanic shops-- they do all this to support their family. To put food on their table.
And to make sure you get to live a comfortable life.
Yes, you-- the infamously adopted daughter of those gay couple at the corner of town. Clearly they're relationship status was viewed in poor taste by the townsfolk (those stubborn traditionalists) and in return, you were often associated with that status and unjustly judged for it.
School was always shit, a pain to go to and see-- but you needed to do it. Needed to finish it and graduate.
Not just because you're ass was on the line if you didn't, but you wanted to go to college for engineering. You were inspired by your dads (and secretly wanted to make them proud) and worked closely with them whenever they would coop up in their 'man-cave' (aka their working barn but they hang out there often too, so they resolve to calling it that.)
Day-in and day-out, you would help them after doing homework, helping some left over clean-up work they had to do before cooking dinner and sharing a couple of beers in front of a televised game. Once you were sure that they were all conked-up and snoring, sometimes, you would sneak into their garage and grab some of their old inventions-- trying to replicate them without any of their blueprints and study the purpose behind it. You would do this in your own personal workshop with your prized car that you fixed up yourself (and sometimes used in the drag car races.)
Hence, in similar fashion, you work as hard as them and in return, they try their best to support you-- with the only thing holding them back is the point that you might be away from them.
The best engineering college is states away and they just can't see why you can't just attend the college they have nearby, and still live with them to cut on costs on rent and other daily necessities.
But to their frustrations, you were just as stubborn as them (you were raised by them after all) and wouldn't back down from that argument. It wasn't like it was sure-ball guarantee you were going to leave-- what if you really sucked and that top league university doesn't take you? So, to you, they were just unnecessarily worrying for something that might not even happen in the first place.
Until... it does.
You're days awaiting for your graduation date and just fulfilling some left over requirements your school does for the students at the end of the year. You've started picking up on your side-hustle of also becoming a mechanic (and a secret drag racer at the side) at the car dealer and their mechanic shop, hoping to earn as much as you can for whatever fate has dealt in her cards for you.
These men are antsy.
They could feel the date coming closer and closer and either side had not come to a compromise on what you would do.
Until they see it.
That dreaded fucking mailman on a rickety old bike, their daily papers and some envelopes in his hand as he slots it in their old- but automatic- mailbox. When he looks up, the mailman sweats profusely, seeing all their pointed glares aimed at him, and just as he was about to pedal away-- a dog (Riley) chases after him like its his routine yet he still screams and bikes away.
Though he goes faster than before once he sees the dog actually jump over the fence this time.
All of them huff out a chuckle before Soap decides to grab the mail with Gaz giving him a quick smooch on his shaved off head in thanks while the other three of them go back to working out the old mobile their neighbor wanted fixed up.
Yet this gets interrupted by the most horrific scream Johnny lets out, making them whip their heads to the noise and immediately make their way to him.
And there they see, in his trembling hand, the letter.
In bright bold font behind the transparent section of the envelope, it says...
"Congratulations for being accepted."
Sadly, this news never reached you, no matter how much you pried for it. Seeing in your email that the letter was in transit and should be on the way soon, but still-- there was no news.
And the four men they call themselves cannot muster the courage to break this to you in fear that you would leave them.
Although this stone is left unturned when the truck- that Ghost found in an old theater his friend asked him to fix-up, became a fucking autobot in their barn.
Chaos ensues just like the plot of the movie.
They learn of your drag racing driving skills from the 'boyfriend' that saved you guys before getting picked off by the black ops unit of the CIA- the Cemetery Wind (or in this case, the Shadow Company) led by Philipp Graves.
Your boyfriend, being Alex Keller, a top race car driver that actually trained you and cleaned up your skills as a driver, which he was thankful at the moment when you proceed to pull out moves that crashed the other cars behind you and lose them in the explosion that helped you get off the grid for a moment.
The four men don't know what's worse now.
You not agreeing with them in your choice of college or you keeping a secret boyfriend from them under their nose-- and they have to see HIM cuddle up with YOU- THEIR PRECIOUS DAUGHTER?
Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
So, the whole time, they're trying to keep you away from each other-- and it was quite easy with four bodyguards orbiting around you 24/7.
All the while, you guys plan with Optimus to meet up with the rest of the Autobots to infiltrate the headquarters of K.S.I. after discovering that the company behind the attacks on the autobots. You had no choice but to accompany your family, you didn't trust them to keep themselves safe so you were gonna keep them in check-- with your boyfriend, of course.
On the other side of this story (for the other characters), Shepherd (in place of Joshua Joyce as the CEO) is the great big antagonist that helps rebuild Galvatron while in kahoots with Graves to forward their plan of improving the world through the use of the 'seed.'
Laswell, for this role, was the secretary of Shepherd-- but after the attack of their headquarters, gets in contact with the Optimus crew and offers her aid and connections to over turn the corrupted tide that was surely going to end their world.
The boys are obviously hesistant, but once she proves her information to be correct once she showed the company's plans on Galvatron-- they knew they needed her to accomplish it.
And so the plot continues as per the movie with its own sprinkle of excitement (once i build this in my drafts lol)
Welp, that was my word vomit for today-- you can find my masterlist here!

Day 14: End of the Road/Starting for Home (Optimus Prime/Cade Yegear)
And so, she steps backward, the sound of the camera turning on for its first time. “Uh, can you and Orion move closer?”
“Me?” the trucker asks, suddenly now in the loop.
“Duh, it's better when there are more people in the picture.”
Based on a very adorable scene from this Fic! Although I do wonder… what if the photo Tessa took didn’t exactly develop Mr.Pax correctly? Maybe her dad got her a broken camera…

On the Run
Hong Kong was a shit show, the aftermath of that battle leaving a permanent mark on Cade Yeager’s ledger. He’d become a wanted man, working in tandem with the Autobots and harboring them in spite of the government wanting them gone. The inventor had to cut off all communication with his daughter after that and it weighed on his consciousness heavily. Was she alright? Did she need him? Thousands of ‘what if’s’ ran through his mind on a daily basis about Tessa’s well being.
Then there was the others, despite Cade's best efforts at keeping everyone together there was only so much one man could do. With Cemetary Wind still breathing down their necks, they'd all had to go back into hiding for now. They had all separated...except for Cade and Optimus.
The inventor couldn't imagine leaving the Prime again after everything they had been through. That feeling of attachment had only grown over the months they'd been on the run together. Late night talks beneath the stars, sleeping in his cab and listening to the sounds of the mech's circuitry; the unmistakable sound of his spark. He'd lost count of the amount of times he'd fallen into a blissful slumber to that sound. A part of the inventor felt guilty for his developing feelings, how strong they'd come on in spite of the danger they'd constantly been under. This truly wasn't the time or place to think about his own feelings; not when their lives were on the line day in and day out.
Cade had been so careful, so certain that they wouldn't be caught after months of success. He'd gotten careless; sloppy even. The inventor had thought he’d made sure they weren’t followed the night prior, but he’d gotten…distracted…by the Prime. He’d forgotten to activate the signal dampeners he’d designed specifically to hide Prime from the devices Cemetary Wind had used to track them. He should have known better, should have known that everything had been going too well for them. They’d gotten separated in the fire fight, the man running through an abandoned warehouse in an attempt to outrun some drones. He hadn’t expected them to shoot to kill, another miscalculation on his part that made itself very apparent when he’d felt the burning sensation hit his leg.
Cade cried out in pain, stumbling and catching himself on a beam. He dared a glance down, face paling slightly as he saw the red stain already starting to appear on his upper thigh. Fuck, he was so screwed. He grabbed his gun, turning around and bracing against the beam to take out a drone before starting to limp outside of the warehouse.
“Prime! Optimus,” he screamed for his partner as he looked around frantically. He had to be nearby, right? He wouldn’t have just left him…

Cade getting taken with Optimus instead of Tessa in age of extinct. How different would the events turn out or would it be the same
I think it might depend on Cade's priorities vs Tessa's in the scene.
When Cemetery Winds attacks the Yeager property (as Optimus is yeeting people and storming out of the barn to defend his new whoomans) Cade LEAPS to action, grabbing the little eye in the sky thing, defending himself, getting to Tessa to protect/guide her etc. This moment shows his quick thinking in literal life or death moments. He's far from useless when the chips are at stake. Cade shows more than once he can be clever enough when the adrenaline is pounding to make different choices than Tessa does. (Of course, Shane also has to physically stop Cade from sprinting after his daughter when she's captured by proxy during the scene with Lockdown collecting Prime. (His reactiveness can be helpful and also cause him to start shit he shouldn't.) And there's nothing wrong at all with Tessa's main priority to get the FUCK off the creepy ass alien ship. Especially since she and Optimus get separated pretty quickly! I don't blame her for wanting to piece out, being frightened and panicked. (And she's still not so panicked she makes poor choices, so kudos to her reluctant bravery.) Esp since Cade's crusade was to fix Optimus, then get revenge on CW for threatening her. Tessa's goals are...keep her dad alive? Stay with the autobots for protection, etc. Different goals = different responses, but I do imagine the outcome would eventually be the same.
For one, since the Prime 2.0 team are by now more familiar to her, she would be just as adamant they help her rescue her father I'm sure. Bee especially would be easy to persuade, or take none at all.
Replacing Cade and putting him in the netting with the SUV instead would be different but I guess similar. (Like, the scene would likely end with the bots sneaking onboard, saving Prime/Cade.) Although obviously Cade would want to get off the ship and return to Earth ASAP, I could also see him more intent to stick with Optimus, even if it's just out of sight (However hard that might be.) And to use the chaos of the moment to get nearer and take shelter to wait for a chance to help in whatever capacity that looks like. Because he's already displayed a desire to help Optimus before. Seeing Mr. Leader of the Free Galaxy literally tossed into a cage and strung up upside down like a piece of meat in a butcher's house would not sit well with Yeager. He's too much of a protector for that, he has to do something.
I could see Prime seeing that as both foolhardy while also quietly touched by the sheer loyalty Cade gives him.

Okey this is definitely something bothering me from Cade yeager character.. I meant sure Cade is more skill than sam but really of you really look again that Cade is... Not realistic. Now before you saying line like 'it's movie characters not always realistic' yeah I know but really
The part that Cade in TLK that he just leave his daughter to help his transformers friends and then adopted another person it's just weird. More weird that Cade suddenly be wante man.
I meant if we put that, after AOE Cade become wanted man , so he leave his daughter to protect her , sure that make sense but they never make Cade as wanted men after cemetery wind and ksi fall. And from TLK plot look like Cade is still wanted men since AOE, also of that scenario then Tessa and Shane should be wanted man too but why just Cade be wanted?
Really, this definitely annoying and confusing part of Cade character. With sam even he sarcastic and 'useless' at least we understand him and relates with him
Well, here's how I see it. Perhaps during AOE, he wasn't a wanted man because Cade was brand new to the scene. It was only after the events of AOE that everyone became aware of him and noticed he was helping the bots which made him a wanted man. Although there were times in AOE when they had to stay hidden and had to disguise themselves, so I am pretty sure they were wanted in AOE. It just wasn't announced, it was hinted at.
It's possible that maybe the government made a deal to leave Tessa and Shane alone. OR Tessa and Shane are actually in hiding. They could be out living their lives but under new names. And as much as Cade loves his kid, if the only way to protect her was to leave her then he'll do it. And it makes sense.
Tessa has a chance to live a life and Cade wants her to have it. He on the other hand doesn't. He might see it as he's already lived his life, so he's fine with being a wanted man and sticking with the bots.
In regards to him adopting Izabella, he was hesitant to but did in the end because she had nowhere else to go and she was useful. She was already living with Autobots. She was already living on the streets with her bots. She was already involved in the life, so he just gave her a place to stay.

Chapter Twenty-Eight: See Beyond the Stars
Winchester! Reader
Tumblr media
The air was hot and dry, a contrast to the a/c that usually ran in the house, and when my eyes fluttered awake, I realized that I wasn't at my home with my family. Instead, I was lying on a dusty couch within the cluttered and abandoned looking store.
Cade was sitting next to me, eyes cast down at the floor and arms crossed, looking lost in thought. There was dried blood coating his shirt, a smear against his cheek as if he had tried to wipe away sweat and instead wiped my blood on. Grunting gently, the noise had caught Cade's attention, and he scooted closer, asking.
"Hey, welcome back. You...you feeling alright?"
I sat up slowly, Cade looking uncomfortable as I did, and I glanced down to see the stitches redone, bandages wrapped around my shoulder and tummy, and I glanced back up at Cade, asking him.
"Did you...do this?"
Cade looked sheepish, saying.
"Well, Tessa redid the stitches...she's always had better accuracy than I did...but I did bandage you up and got the bleeding to stop. You've been passed out for a couple hours now."
I nodded gently, and I realized I felt nauseous. Humming softly, I gently rolled my shoulder, and I murmured softly.
"The wounds will probably be gone in a few days....shouldn't have to worry about them too much. Where's Optimus?"
"Still hasn't come back, and...Baby...is still outside. He was a big help in telling us what to do to save your life."
I chuckled gently, replying as Cade handed me a can of pork and beans.
"Sounds like him. I'm...sorry that you've been dragged into this, Cade. Now that you've seen Optimus and Cemetery Wind knows about you...you're gonna be made a target, as well as Tessa and Shane."
Cade's eyes softened, looking away and he nodded slowly after a moment.
"It's terrible that Lucas is gone...and if he hadn't called, I don't think any of this would have happened. I don't blame you, or Optimus, for what happened. I was honest when I said that I wanted to help."
I gazed long and hard at Cade, and Cade seemed to become uncomfortable after a moment, and I looked down into my can of food. I said gently.
"You're a brave man, Cade Yeager."
Cade had a strange look on his face, almost as if he was remembering something, and he looked back at Shane and Tessa, who both were sitting on the other side of the gas station and looking to be extremely uncomfortable as they both stayed far away from each other to appease Cade. I asked him softly.
"I'm guessing Shane and Tessa know each other well?"
Cade scoffed, muttering.
"Apparently, our Irish man is a driver from Texas and that's how he's been making his living. Races rally cars. Don't really care, he's not gonna be dating my daughter."
I snorted and murmured.
"To be fair, by the looks of it, they've been dating for a while. Tessa seems to have been doing fine. Give the boy a chance."
Cade squinted at me, and I shrugged.
"What? This is exactly what I would tell my Dad, and my Dad said he'd put any man that tried to ask me out into the closet to rot."
Cade nodded his head a little, raising his brows.
"Not a bad idea. But...I don't know if it'll matter. Tessa blames me for what's happened, especially to Lucas."
I shook my head, placing my empty can of food on the table beside us.
"What happened was out of your control, and that's something I can say honestly. There are things at work here that are beyond your control...and they mostly have to do with me. You guys were caught up in this the second that I came back."
I sat up a bit more and grunted when it pulled my sore stitches, and Cade placed a hand on the small of my back, warning me.
"Careful, if you move around too much, you're going to tear the stitches again, and they're already not looking good."
I nodded, and Tessa had moved to sleep on a spare mattress that was in the back. Cade didn't move his hand from the small of my back, and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed by his proximity.
"Uh, sorry about...in the car by the way."
"What do you mean?"
My cheeks went hot, and I looked away from him, fiddling with my fingers as I murmured.
"About being in your lap and clutching onto you like I did. I didn't exactly have another spot that I could sit, and Baby needed me with you guys so that he could transform and fight."
Cade cleared his throat gently, smiling awkwardly.
"Wouldn't be the first time I've had a woman in my lap."
I deadpanned at Cade, shaking my head.
"That's...not really comforting."
"Yeah, I'm sorry, that was shitty of me to say."
His ears turned red, and I couldn't help but snort, teasing.
"Wow, you really do need to get back into the dating scene."
Cade gave me a look, and I chuckled before standing up carefully. I was wobbly, and Cade was standing next to me, on guard and ready to catch me if I fell. However, I waved him off, and I grunted softly to myself. My shoulder was incredibly sore and bruised, and I wondered if I could pray to my Uncle Castiel to heal it.
If I did that, then I would need to make sure that nobody was around.
Looking to Cade, I said to him softly.
"I'm going to check in with Baby and let him know I'm alright. I'll be back in a little while."
Cade nodded, and he asked gently.
"Please be careful?"
"No promises.
I walked outside to where Baby was sitting, the car door immediately opening.
"You feeling alright, bub?"
"A lot better than when I was bleeding out."
Baby made a noise of annoyance, the radio sounding as if there was interference coming through, and he stated.
"You have a seriously bad habit of not saying something when you're wounded."
"To be fair, I didn't know about the bullet in my belly until way after the fact."
Baby made another noise of discomfort, and we both yelped when my Uncle Cas' voice filled the space of the car.
"Your injuries do not seem to be completely life-threatening, but you should still allow me to heal them."
"Holy fucking shit, can you warn us next time? We need to get you a bell or something!"
My heart was racing as I glared at Castiel, and his blue eyes twinkled just the slightest as he asked.
"Why do I need to get a bell? I don't understand what that has to do with my arrival."
"You know...make you wear a bell so whenever you suddenly show up, we know?"
Castiel looked down at his lap in thought before he nodded once.
"I will talk with your Uncle about potential options."
There was a moment of awkward silence as I simply stared at Castiel, and I slowly nodded.
"Okay...yeah, I'm...sure that's gonna be helpful. Anyway, what are you doing here?"
Castiel answered honestly, looking over at the gas station and inside at Cade and Shane, who seemed to be tinkering with something while Tessa was grabbing stuff from shelves.
"I heard your thoughts when my name was mentioned, and given the extent of the events that had occurred and the injuries that you have sustained, it is in your best interest if I heal you."
I sighed softly and rested my head against Castiel's shoulders, murmuring softly.
"I'm happy that you're here, Castiel. It's been a bit rough these last few weeks."
Castiel gently wrapped his arm around me, and warmth filled me as a gentle glow began to emit from his body.
"I understand."
As I looked down at my hands, an image of the agent's blood covering them came into my mind, and I squeezed my eyes shut. I whispered to Castiel, feeling a sudden intense urge to wash my clean hands and scratch off blood that wasn't even there.
"Cas...I killed someone today...two people, really....maybe more."
Castiel was quiet, and he whispered after a moment.
"It was for a good cause...had you not stepped in, Tessa Yeager would have been killed, as well as Cade."
I shook my head, my heart skipping a bit as my lungs began to tighten.
"But what if I could have avoided it? What if I had just...given myself up?"
Castiel shook his head, replying sternly.
"Giving yourself up would not have changed the course of events that had been set. The only way to change what was to occur was to do what you did. Killing bad people doesn't make you bad...what makes you bad is if you start to enjoy it...start to seek out innocent people to satiate that urge..."
Castiel's voice began to sound haunted, and I shook my head a bit, trying to clear the images in my head and instead asked him.
"How...How is everyone at the bunker? It's...It's been a bit hard for me to be away from everyone."
Castiel hummed gently, replying.
"It has been rough within the bunker as well."
I winced, glancing up at him as his eyes glowed a white/light blue before returning to the deep color of the sea.
"What do you mean?"
Castiel responded, his voice gentle and soothing as he kept his arm around my shoulders.
"The Boy has not taken your absence lightly. Witwicky has been slightly unforgiving of your actions, but he misses you and is extremely worried. The Cybertronians have been getting uncomfortable with staying in the bunker, but Sam Winchester has been keeping them company and learning more about their culture and ways since your departure."
My heart hurt at the thought of Witwicky being angry with me, but I knew that it would happen when I left. Sighing softly, I murmured.
"I had to do what I needed to do in order to keep him safe. Like you said, they were going to kill Tessa earlier today...if Sam had been with me, he could have possibly died as well. We...we lost Lucas. Granted, I didn't like him anyway and wanted to kill him for ratting us out....but I don't think he truly deserved what happened."
Castiel comforted gently.
"What happened was out of your hands and was necessary. The boy cares a great deal for you, so your betrayal has been hard on him. Lucas' death was unfortunate, but apart of fate that you could not change. His story was not meant to go beyond where it ended."
His wording made me frown at him, and Baby murmured, his tone exasperated and displeased.
"The boy likes ya, you idiot. Of course he's gonna be upset that you left...and Lucas' betrayal almost got us all killed. Sucks cause he was innocent and stupid, but it was necessary for everyone's survival."
I nodded slowly, and I asked Castiel as the angel looked down at me.
"What about Will? Is he doing okay?"
"He is just as worried and angry as Samuel Witwicky, but he is more suspicious about the disappearance than anything. I believe he is aware that there is something strange about Cemetery Wind, but there's no telling without concrete evidence."
I looked away from Castiel and sighed.
"I figured that would be the case. Without any concrete knowledge of Cemetery Wind's corruption, Will can't really do anything. If he does, they can easily refute the claims and will probably try to kill him or worse. I need to somehow prove what Cemetery Wind is doing so nobody gets hurt, whether human or Autobot."
"How do you plan to do that, bub?"
I shrugged and glanced back into the abandoned gas station at Cade, Shane, and Tessa.
"I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that Cade's gonna be a huge help. I'll rely on him for a while before I somehow get him out of the picture so him and his family don't suffer anymore."
Baby scoffed, his tires scratching against the ground.
"Yeah, right. That man is already attached to you, so good luck getting rid of him. He was freaking out the entire time that I was trying to walk him through tending to your wounds."
I chuckled and shook my head, Castiel's lips turning up just the slightest as I teased.
"Could you imagine his face if he found out Cas healed me, and all of his freaking out was for nothing?"
Baby snorted, and he joked through the radio.
"The morbid embarrassment would be priceless, but...I think it's best if he doesn't know about the darker parts of our world."
Castiel nodded, saying.
"Baby is right. The mental toll that the knowledge that God and angels exist would surely make the man go insane. It is for the best that we keep this encounter secret. I can hear your uncle praying for me, so I must go."
I held onto Castiel tightly, and he hugged me back gently. I murmured softly.
"Thank you for coming to visit me and healing my wounds. I would be lost without my favorite angel."
"I wasn't aware that you knew other angels, but I am flattered that you view me as your favorite."
I giggled, and Castiel looked confused, but smiled all-the-same.
"No, no, Cas. It's...just a metaphor, I guess?"
Castiel nodded slowly before bid me and Baby adieu before disappearing in the blink of an eye, the sound of wings echoing throughout the vehicle, and it was quiet for a moment before Baby said.
"He has such great timing."
"Well, he is an angel of the lord, so I'm not entirely surprised."
Baby hummed before he mumbled.
"You should probably get inside. If Cade asks questions about the wounds being gone, I would tell him it's apart of the Allspark shit you got going on."
I nodded and patted the dashboard gently.
"Thank you for being here, Baby. I appreciate you a lot."
"Anytime, bub."
Slipping out of the car, I walked into the station where Cade was sitting at a desk, tinkering with one of the drones that had been at the house. I furrowed my brow and asked him, the man glancing up at me before looking back down.
"Where did you get that?"
"I snagged it after shit hit the fan...somebody somewhere gave the order to kill my little girl. I'm gonna find some fingerprints so I can try to find out who."
I sat down next to him after a moment, wondering if I should tell him what I knew, but I kept my mouth shut instead. Scooting closer to Cade, I asked him with interest.
"How the hell are you going to do that?"
Cade nodded to me, a twinkle in his eyes.
"Watch and learn."
He began to take apart the drone piece by piece, dissecting the drone until he was able to get to a set of wires that he cut and connected to a tv monitor instead. Suddenly, the video feed came to life, and there was one of the wreckers getting killed. Fury ran through my veins, and Cade froze when I began to glow, subtly shaking.
"One of your friends?"
"Yes...We weren't close, but he helped during the last battle a couple years ago...he was a good one."
Cade became quiet as the transformer pleaded with Cemetery Wind, exclaiming his alliance but still being shot down. Cade carefully put his hand on my shoulder, saying.
"We'll get them back for this. I promise. I'm apart of this now whether you like it or not."
I stood up, shaking my head and waving my hand in the air.
"No, Cade. I can't let you get in any deeper. You're already a target now, but you don't have to get in as deep as I did or Sam did. You still have a chance. These are my friends...if anybody has to do something about this, it's me."
Cade replied, slipping his glasses off to rest them on top of his head.
"You can't take on all of those people alone. Sure, you might be some weird superhuman, but you, just like them, have the ability to die still. They were gonna kill my little girl, (Y/n)...just like they were gonna kill Sam and your family."
I became quiet, cursing to myself. While I wasn't on board with this, I knew that Cade had a point. It would be hypocritical of me to tell him to fuck off and do this all on my own...but I couldn't bear the thought of innocent blood getting onto my hands. I then compromised, stating.
"Fine, but you have to listen to what I say. You don't know the system and the way these people work like I do, and I'm not about to let anybody get killed on my watch."
Cade nodded, and I felt my shoulders relax just the slightest. Cade's gaze became intense, and I asked him, looking away to stare at the dirty floor as I became uncomfortable under his stare.
"What is it?"
"Does it hurt whenever you have to use your ability or when you see things?"
I hummed softly, shrugging.
"Not all of the time. It depends on how I use it, you know? The premonitions don't normally hurt, but they do come with a bit of a headache whenever I get them while I'm awake."
Cade nodded, and it was quiet for a moment before I hummed, standing up and getting motivated.
"Alright. Grab whatever you think we can use for supplies. Clothes, food, anything. Take that computer with you as well."
As we both began to grab stuff, Shane woke Tessa up, and the four of us began to grab whatever we thought could be useful. Packing it all up in boxes, we waited for Optimus to get back, the sun starting to peak over the horizon. Baby was still in his alt mode, but I could tell that he was nervous by the way he had his tires dug into the dirt, swiveling them back and forth just the slightest. When Optimus finally came back, Cade picked up a box.
"Okay, let's go."
Cade, Tessa, and Shane packed up into Optimus, and I told them.
"I'll be riding with Baby behind you guys just in case."
Cade nodded, murmuring.
"Be careful."
"Don't tell me what to do."
I jogged back to Baby, opening the car door, and I slipped in. Baby immediately  began to follow after Optimus, and the Cybertronian asked.
"Anything new with Primus at all?"
I shook my head, murmuring as I rest my chin in the palm of my hand as I watched the world outside go by.
"Nothing. Just radio silence...I'm sure I'll hear from him soon though."
Baby hummed before making a noise as we began to drive near town.
"What the hell is Cade up to?"
Frowning, we pulled up next to Optimus when he parked, and Cade had taken out some equipment, as well as the drone. Placing his card in the grip of the drone, he began to fly it towards an ATM.
"This is not easy."
Tessa remarked, watching him closely.
"You know, you don't suck at everything, Dad."
I snorted before replying, standing up.
"It's probably not going to work. If you need money, I'll have to help."
Tessa looked up at me, asking.
"How are you going to do that?"
I winked at her and wiggled my fingers, my veins glowing blue and making her eyes widen uncomfortably.
"Just watch."
Skidding down the hill, I was quick to walk up to the drone, watching as a man began to turn, and I quickly waved at him before grabbing the drone, snatching the card out of the grippers. The drone stopped trying to fly, and I slipped it into my pocket before placing my hand on the ATM. Sending a surge of energy to the ATM, it sparked a little, the screen glitching out as I put the card in.
At first, Cade's account had come up as locked, but after another surge into the ATM, his account was no longer suspended. Frowning, I glanced at the negative balance before I rolled my eyes and surged the ATM again. Clicking on 'withdraw', I sent one last surge of energy through the ATM and watched the money begin to pile out. Making sure that the old man didn't see what had happened, I took out my wallet and slipped the money in before quickly exiting the premises.
Making my way back to Cade, I took out my wallet and slapped a few hundred bills into his hand. His eyes bugged, and he looked at me.
"Did you just rob the ATM?"
"Don't tell me you still have a conscious."
Shane whistled lowly, his eyes trained on how fat my wallet had become.
"Cleaned it out, did ya?"
"And then some, but we have money for food and more supplies. We should get out of here. There's no doubt that someone trying to access Cade's account has tripped the CIA, so we need to take care not to draw any attention to ourselves while we get the hell out of Dodge."
Shane made a noise of surprise, and Baby murmured.
"We should get going. Sheriff department is on the way."
I nodded, and everyone scrambled. Optimus began to lead us away, and through the radio, Baby and I could hear Optimus making another call.
"Calling all Autobots. Calling all Autobots!"
Suddenly as a truck drove by, the sound of Optimus scanning it echoed through the car, and I watched in awe as Optimus began to shift while driving, plates of dull metal moving to reveal pristine blue and red paint. Within seconds, Optimus had went from an old and dusty box to a beautiful Peterbilt once again (Peterbilt 589 model). Baby's voice came through the radio suddenly.
"If anybody thinks I'm gonna change my look, they're gonna have to fight me."
I giggled and replied.
"I would be very upset if you changed the way that you looked, Baby."
"At least someone can appreciate the classics."
I chuckled before asking him.
"Did you ever look like anything else?"
Baby hummed and replied.
"Well, for a while, I disguised myself as a 1963 Chevy Corvette LS6. Before I discovered that, though, I was disguised as a 1944 Ford GPW for the ARMY."
I chuckled and teased him gently.
"Seems like you took a liking to Chevy."
"Best decision I ever made. Ford's are terrible. I'm pretty sure it's an acronym for 'Fix Or Repair Daily'."
I laughed, Baby chuckling along with me, and I replied while sitting up a bit straighter.
"I'll be sure to remember that one for later."
As we began to approach the desert, I could feel the energy of more Cybertronian's around, and I became uneasy. I couldn't hear or see anything, and Baby comforted gently.
"It's alright, bub. They're friendly."
"I'll believe it when I see it."
Suddenly, a Cybertronian landed beside us, running as Optimus and Baby drove while exclaiming.
"Yeah! Mr. Leader of the Free Galaxy is back. I knew you'd make it. I never doubted you!"
A samurai-looking Cybertronian rolled in as well, bowing his head to Optimus as he parked.
"We got your warning. We have been waiting."
I got out, their eyes immediately looking to me as a voice to my left said.
"Hell, yeah. Boom time. We got the gang back together!"
The sound of a car revving caught my attention, and I looked back to see Bumblebee walking up the hill, my eyes widened and heart soaring. Cade, Tessa, and Shane got out of Optimus, looking around in awe, and Baby and Optimus began to transform. Once Optimus was done, he greeted the unfamiliar Autobots.
"Humans have asked us to play by their rules. Well, the rules have just changed."
The Cybertronian to my left spoke up, holding a big shotgun and throwing it down as he smoked what looked like a cigar.
"Humans, bunch of backstabbin' weasels...no offense to the lady."
His eyes looked to me, and I shrugged, saying gently.
"I don't know you."
He chuckled, and the samurai replied to him.
"Hound, find your inner compass. Loyalty is but a flower in the winds of fear and temptation."
Hound and Baby looked at the Cybertronian, and Hound asked.
"What the hell are you saying?"
"It's a haiku."
Hound grabbed onto the samurai, hissing as he snatched a grenade from his belt.
"Cut the crap before I drop a grenade down your throat."
The samurai pulled out a blade, pressing it to Hound's belly.
"Try it, you'll be dead."
"Oh, please pull it. Please do it."
Baby rolled his eyes and muttered.
"They're so goddamn annoying."
I couldn't help but to giggle, and Bumblebee replied.
"You know what...it'll save us so much time!"
Bumblebee seemed to turn his attention to me, and he knelt down, saying to me as Baby glanced at him from the corner of his optics.
"Pretty woman...it's been a long day without you, my friend-I've missed you...and...that pretty....face!"
I smiled up at Bumblebee, gently grabbing his mouthpiece like Sam had done all that time ago in the apartment and carefully tugged him around, the Cybertronian's eyes seeming to light up more as I playfully pushed and pulled his head around.
"I've missed you a lot too, Bee. It's been a long time since we could hang out, huh?"
Bumblebee whirred sadly, and he replied.
"I've been wondering....where you've gone....and...about S-am. It's been hurting me-!"
Sadness went through my heart, and I pressed my forehead to Bee's chin, holding him close as I murmured.
"I'm sorry, Bee. I promise it hasn't been on purpose. We've all had to go into hiding, but Sam is with my family and is safe and sound. Hopefully once everything is over, you and Sam can see each other again. He misses you a lot as well, Bee."
Bee gently patted my back as carefully as he could, responding.
"No matter what I do, ah!, all I think about is you...both...and I just want you...to be okay."
I reassured Bee then, pulling back and looking into his saddened optics.
"I promise you that we're both okay. Baby's been with me this whole time."
Bee nodded, and the Cybertronian in a long trench coat raised his hand suddenly.
"Well, raise your hand if you're thoroughly disenchanted with our little pleasant Earth vacation."
He then turned and pointed a gun at Cade, Shane, and Tessa, making me widen my eyes and exclaim as Cade put his hands up.
"So, who are the stowaways?"
"Hey!"
"Oh, whoa, hey, what's with the gun?"
Hound rolled into position, and Baby and I stepped in front of Cade, glaring at the two Cybertronians. Optimus exclaimed angrily.
"Stop! Crosshairs, Hound, both of you! They've risked their lives for mine. We owe them."
Crosshairs looked suspicious, and I frowned deeply.
"I would highly suggest putting that gun away."
"Oh, yeah? Or what."
Bumblebee stepped forward just as Baby did, saying.
"Don't you dare! It'll be the last thing you ever do."
"Bee's right, Cross. I'd be wise about this."
Optimus put a hand on Crosshair's shoulder, and Crosshairs mumbled to himself as he put the gun away.
"Whatever. Just go ahead and trust the very species that betrayed us."
I rolled my eyes, and I patted Baby's leg, making him relax.
"It's fine. I'd be suspicious too. We should regroup and start to figure out our next plan."
Baby just huffed, glaring at Crosshairs before turning to Optimus.
"Alright, Optimus, what now?"
-TIMESKIP-
It was nightfall, and the transformers were all gathered together, Optimus pacing as I sat on Bumblebee's shoulder, watching him tinker with his arm a little as I listened to Optimus speak.
"So, there has been no sign of any others?"
"Nada."
Drift, as I had learned the Samurai was named, shook his head.
"We are all that's left. They're picking us off one by one."
Hound shook his head, looking downcast as he gestured to Optimus and Baby.
"We're the pathetic dirty foursome, and you two make six."
I spoke up, making Drift and Hound look to me.
"That's not true. There are two others that are still around, including the Boy. Ratchet and Ironhide and Sam Witwicky. They are all under my family's care and hidden, safe and sound."
Bumblebee shook his head in agreement, playing through his radio as he danced slightly.
"Isn't she pretty, Truly the angel's best, Boy, I'm so happy, We have been heaven blessed."
I giggled, and Bee made a whirring noise in happiness, and I couldn't help but feel my chest tighten a bit. It was nice to have Bumblebee back, and I had to admit: I had missed his energy. I could only imagine how happy Sam would be once we all got back home. Baby just shook his head, and I chuckled a little more. Optimus, bless him, looked happy, but even I could tell that he was also thinking about Sam as well as his optics slid to the side for a brief moment.
From beside us, I could hear Cade talking with Tessa and Shane as they sat near the fire, and I felt strange as I met Cade's gaze. I blinked at him before I looked away, and Bee asked me softly as Optimus began to talk a bit with Crosshairs.
"What's got you down?"
"It's nothing, Bee, I promise. Do you mind letting me down so I can talk with Cade and the other two?"
Bee whirred and let me down, and I walked over to the fire, Cade greeting me by saying.
"You seem really close with all of them."
Tessa and Shane perked up, and I nodded gently.
"I...don't really know Crosshairs, Drift, nor Hound, but I've known Bumblebee for a very long time. He's my-"
My voice trailed off, and I became nervous. I wasn't entirely sure why, but I couldn't help but become embarrassed when Baby teased.
"-Boyfriend's guardian, and don't let her tell you anything different!"
I hissed at him, pointing.
"Shut the fuck up and mind your goddamn business! Sam isn't my boyfriend!"
Bee suddenly whined, his head fallen back.
"It's the greatest tragedy known to mankind!"
I gawked at Bumblebee, and Tessa couldn't help but giggle.
"Unrequited?"
I looked over at her, my cheeks and ears hot, and I shook my head, swallowing thickly.
"No, I don't...think it's really anything like that. Sam and I have been friends and roommates for a long time before I started staying at my...stepdad's. We've been through a lot together, and he means a lot to me."
I shook my head again, waving my hands in front of me.
"But that's completely besides the point. We need to talk about what our next move is. For right now, you guys will most likely either need to go into hiding, or you can stick with us and be kept safe. I don't doubt that Cemetery Wind will do anything and everything to find you, so it might be best if you guys stay with us until everything blows over."
Shane scoffed and asked.
"So, that's the best-case scenario? Autobot witness protection?"
Cade glared at Shane and replied sternly, my mouth slightly agape as Cade became defensive.
"Hey, Speed Racer, you're welcome to leave anytime."
Shane rolled his eyes and jabbed.
"Well, for the record, Super Dad, I'm not hiding with you. I'm hiding out with that big guy."
I frowned, but before I could say anything, Drift spoke up to Optimus, catching my attention.
"Sensei, with your fate unknown, Bumblebee has held command, despite his complete and total lack of anything resembling warrior discipline. He is like a child."
Bumblebee became offended, standing up.
"This child is...about to kick your ass!"
Drift looked at Bumblebee with a sneer.
"He brings us shame!"
Bumblebee and Drift began to fight, and Baby cursed. Tessa, Cade, and Shane jumped up, Tessa asking in shock.
"What's the matter with them?"
Drift got his sword against Bumblebee's throat, saying.
"Am I the lone sage who sees through this puppy-dog eyes act? It's beneath you!"
Crosshairs cheered.
"Yes, I've been waiting for them all to dispatch each other, so I could take charge with no trouble at all! Just reporting to me."
I summoned energy, pushing between them and forcing them back from each other, yelling.
"Absolutely not! Knock it off right now or I swear to Primus, I'll send your asses straight to the Well!"
Cade looked back at Optimus, saying.
"Sure looks like they missed you."
Optimus shook his head and exclaimed.
"Autobots, Lockdown is hunting us and humans are helping. We need to know why."
Cade hummed.
"Well, listen. I don't know why, but I have an idea about who."
Using the drone as a projector, Cade began to show the Autobots the footage of the Wrecker known as Leadfoot, his pleads echoing throughout the air and causing a tension to begin to rise. The Energon within the area began to increase from the anger the Autobots were feeling, and my head was beginning to spin.
"This drone that I stole recorded footage of an Autobot raid. It's in pieces, but watch what happens here."
Hound sounded upset as he pointed out.
"Oh, that's Leadfoot."
Optimus looked away, becoming angry as Cade said.
"They rip him apart."
"Savages."
Hound took his helm off, placing it to his chest to honor Leadfoot, and I took a deep breath. Baby shook his head, muttering.
"This is goddamn bullshit."
"Later, this truck comes to haul him off. KSI. Kinetic Solutions. Defense, aerospace, government contracts. They even designed this drone."
Searing pain went through my head, and I gripped it, grunting as I hunched over. Tessa called my name, and I could feel everyone's stares. Cade jumped out of Drift and jogged over to me, asking me as he sat down beside me.
"What happened? Are you okay?"
'-this is all the spoils of war, dead metal, innovation. What we do here is science, because if we don't do it, somebody else will, because you cannot stop technology.'
'We don't need you anymore.'
'They had a whole mess of dead Decepticon heads and they were downloading their minds!'
'She didn't say that we had to keep you alive.'
'Don't you wanna see your daddy again?'
I groaned softly, and I murmured as my stomach turned.
"I...I think I need a moment."
Shane and Tessa looked perturbed as the glowing from my veins dissipated, and Optimus hummed as he knelt closer to me.
"I am...not as inept as Ratchet is, but even I can tell that the Energon within your body has increased immensely since the last time we met."
I glanced up at Optimus, murmuring as I waved him off.
"I'll be okay..."
My voice trailed off when I looked at my arm, an image of a metal limb in place, and I shook my head, gripping my wrist to my chest. Baby narrowed his green optics at me before he glanced at Optimus, and he murmured.
"We'll talk later."
Optimus nodded, and Shane changed the subject, asking.
"So these government guys just hunt you down, and then pass you off to this KSI?"
Cade informed, making me frown deeply.
"The company is headquartered in Chicago. That could be where they were taken."
"Of fucking course, it's Mission City. What a great fucking message."
Hound hummed, taking a huge puff of his cigar.
"No way to get inside without a battle."
Cade popped out of Drift, asking.
"Well, what if you had some human help?"
Tessa jabbed, her eyes accusatory.
"What, are you all partners now?"
Cade sighed and said.
"Sweetie, we're targets now, too. We need to know why or we'll never get our lives back."
I shared a look with Optimus, and the Autobot stood up, murmuring gently.
"Autobots, I have sworn to never kill humans...but when I found out who is behind this...he's going to die."
Chills ran down my spine, and the image of Optimus with purple optics flooded my head, and I took a step back. Baby looked uncomfortable, Bee staring Optimus down wistfully, and Hound began to cheer as Crosshairs waved his pistol around.
"Greatest idea I've heard yet!"
Optimus walked off to be by himself, and I rubbed my arm as it began to get colder. Shivering to myself as the temperature began to drop, I slowly walked over to Optimus, who was staring up at the stars. I was quiet, just standing next to him, and I murmured softly.
"Optimus?"
"What is it, little one?"
He looked down at me, and I reached up for him. Optimus knelt carefully, and I placed my hand upon his cheek, staring into his optics softly.
"It isn't fair what's happening, but you're a good leader, and you've been doing your best this whole time. Leadfoot knew that, and Primus is taking care of him."
Optimus' optics widened for a moment, and he sighed heavily, murmuring.
"I wonder if what I have done for my Autobots has been the right path...so many have been lost...and so many are still being hunted. I fear that I am failing them all."
I shook my head and murmured.
"We don't always know why things happen, but that doesn't mean that it's completely our fault."
I chuckled softly, adding.
"You know, there was something that my dad used to tell me sometimes when I was feeling really upset...he always told me 'You always have a choice. You can either roll over and die or you can keep fighting, no matter what'. And, if it's okay with you, Optimus, I'd prefer to keep fighting. This vision you have for peace? It's worth it. It's all worth it."
Suddenly, in my head, I could hear my uncle's voice speaking; reverbing off of my brain like a distant memory that was clawing at the walls.
'Now I realize that there is no righteous path, it's just people trying to do their best in a world where it is far too easy to do your worst.'
Optimus was staring at me with wide optics, and I nodded to him after yawning.
"It's okay to be wrong...just do better for next time. I'll see you in the morning."
Walking away, Baby transformed, and I climbed inside, humming to myself as Baby started to blast the heat.
"That was pretty nice what you did for Optimus."
"You think so?"
Baby hummed in agreement, murmuring softly.
"Could have sworn you were Dean for a minute...just with Sam's hair."
I giggled and rolled my eyes.
"Whatever, Baby."
Laying my head back, I let my eyes close, images and voices beginning to swirl within my head once more.
The wind was howling all around me when I opened my eyes. Winds and energy swirled all around, beating against my face and sucking the oxygen right out of my lungs as I tried to stand. I felt cold and hot all at the same time, burning and freezing and hurting. Glancing down at the ground before me, I was shocked to find metal hands digging into the gunmetal silver ground. Beneath the metal fingers was more metal, feeling brittle and crumbling as I clenched.
Glancing up and around, I noticed that the structure that I was on was falling through the sky, and I couldn't help but to feel that this was familiar. My chest was tight, and I could hear his voice like it was right beside me.
"Baby, you can't do this...you're not strong enough."
I glanced around, but my father was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, I was struck from behind against my back, making me gasp and cry out from pain as I smacked my face into the ground from the force behind the attack. Turning over, I brought my hands up in time to catch a staff-like weapon from going into my chest. When I looked up, my grip slackened slightly.
My father was standing above me, his eyes bloodshot and glowing purple, wild with intent to kill as he stood above me. Tears of blood were pouring down his face as he pleaded.
"Just come home with me...We don't have to stay here...we can happy...happy on Cybertron."
I whispered to myself, shaking my head as his words struck a chord in me.
"This isn't real. You're not real...this isn't going to happen!"
I pushed him away, his body flying back, and he collided with the ground, grunting painfully. He stood up then, his long hair dangling within his eyes.
"You're such a goddamn brat, you know that? I've died for you...suffered for you...was tortured for you...and this is how you treat your father? Daddy's home, baby, and he's not happy with you."
He attacked me again, and I dodged, hissing out.
"You're just another figment of Unicron...another image to throw me off! I don't believe you!"
He roared, sounding strangely mechanical as he did so, and he smacked the staff down on the ground, creating a ripple of energy that I was almost too-late to dodge away from.
"You replaced me...forgot about me...where were you, (Y/n)?! Where were you? Why didn't you just accept their offer? We could have been happy again! I should have never trusted you...should have never had you...I wish it had been you instead of Lisa!"
Though I knew that this was all just a dream, hearing my father's voice say those words...it hurt so badly. Tears filled my eyes, smelling distinctly of Energon, and the metal limbs transformed into large swords, a painful twinge within my chest as they did. Holding up the canons, I whispered sadly as the image of my dad charging me began to waver and flicker.
"I just...wanted to see you again...to feel you wrap your arms around me...to hear you tell me that you loved me...to smell your scent again...I'm sorry...I'm sorry that I let this happen. I love you."
When the cannons went off, that was when I woke up, his bloodied form lying on the remnants of Cybertron seared into my brain as the pieces crashed into Earth.
Shaking awake, I took a deep breath to calm my nerves, the inside of the car glowing blue from my veins, and the light dissipated slowly until I was no longer glowing. Glancing at the radio, I could tell that Baby was asleep, and I slowly got out. The radio whirred, and Baby grumbled tiredly.
"What is it, bub?"
"Just need some fresh air. I'm okay. Go back into recharge."
Baby didn't respond, and I sat at the fire that was slowly dying, adding more logs and watching as the fire began to grow hotter. Glancing around, I noticed that most of the Autobots had fallen asleep.
Optimus had transformed so that Cade and Tessa could sleep in the truck, and Shane had been made to sleep outside. Rolling my eyes, I couldn't help but notice that Bumblebee was awake. His optics were looking at me in question, and I walked over to him, the bot sitting up from his spot and kneeling down.
"Can't sleep either, big guy?"
Bee nodded, and he transformed, allowing me to slip into the front seat and sigh. The radio began to filter through channels, Bee asking.
"What's on your mind...little lady?"
I let my head fall back against the headrest, murmuring.
"I...had a nightmare....about my dad. At least, I think it was a nightmare...I don't know."
"Oh, since there's honey, Tell me what you dream about."
I bit my lip and murmured instead, shaking my head.
"I don't know if it's something I really want to talk about right now...I just want things to go back to normal."
Bee whirred gently, the seats warming up slightly.
"I understand...I wish...there was a way...to take...your pain."
"It's okay. I'm not as unhappy when I have my Autobot friends, my family, and Sam."
Bee was quiet for a moment before the radio began to flick through channels again.
"I miss him...my friend! I hate...being apart."
"I know he misses you too, Bee."
Bee became quiet, and I began to fall asleep again, Bee turning on a gentle and slow station on the radio.
