Ik that a lot of people said this but

I HATE HOW SHIPS ARE TREATED ON DCAS

Starting with the MLM ships, ALMOST EVERYONE IS INVOLVED IN A LOVE TRIANGLE, the only one who isn't involved was Jaiden, even I don't know if it counts since Aiden is also in a love triangle.

The jakextomxaiden thing was completely unnecessary, we already have a miscommunication problem with Jake and Tom, the love triangle wasn't necessary (Also, that unfinished and hasty closure they gave to jakextom... ugh)

But ok, it's okay, we can let it go. BUT THEN WE HAVE TREVEK VS KRYSTALXDEREK WHO IS ALSO A FREAKING LOVE TRIANGLE AAAAA

THE wlw ship, yeah, SHIP WITHOUT A S, is gabellie. I LOVE that they didn't ruin them as Jakextom and actually managed to solve their problems, but GOD, they time of screen time is SO low. Specifically in Piggyback that it was supposed to be their song, but NO, let's give that screen time to Tomden.

I remember people saying theorizing a love triangle between Tess, Gabby and Ellie. THANK GOD IT DIDN'T HAPPEN (NO HATE TO THE TESSGABBY, TESSELLIE OR TESSGABBYELLIE! Your ships are valid!)

Oh! Speaking of love triangles and yuri, why don't we talk about Huntessally. After S2, it was implied that the three of them were going to end up in a polyamorous relationship, but no, onc seems to be afraid of that and we only have HunterAlly. But ok, maybe they were preparing polyamory for S3

So far, 07/21/2024, nothing has happened.

The thing that bothered me the most was that after Hunter left there were Tessally scenes, which came to nothing.

Speaking of the straight ships. only ONE of them isn't toxic and it's the one with less screen time in the series, exactly, AshleyWill. All the other ones are toxic or just part of a love triangle.

The DerekKristal thing is not that bad, they don't have the fault that Trevor falled in love with Derek... THE PROBLEM IS THE LOVE TRIANGLE

Now on to our last love triangle, Connor and Alec with Riya... The most unnecessary thing in the world. (Again, not hate to the Riya x Alec shippers. This hate goes to the writing)

Oh! And Grett x Yul... I will be honest, I still don't understand how Yul passed from loving Grett to treat her like shit. But meh, Yul is an asshole, the probabilities of that ship going well were really low

My writing take? Not using love triangles, with jakextomxaiden was enough (and not even that because it was annoying). Huntessally canon, more Gabellie screen time and probably a non toxic straight ship on AS

As you probably noticed I didn't do one last episode, and the reason was that there wasn't much to say that I haven't already said. I'll talk about last episode elimination at the end but moving on to the new tiers. I order them by the idea that if you told me you came from the future and told me they won the season what my reaction be.

Ashley & Alec: I am a firm believer that in this season early plays matter and should be REWARDED! I almost view this season through the lenses of a blow off PPV like Wrestlemania. We are building the story blocks that will be the foundation of the finale. These two got the best narrative. A girl who was an early boot 1st season and a man who got tricked out of the finale. Both have seem to learn from their first outing. Both run their respective teams and will be the faces of the FACE vs HEEL forces. No matter who wins between these two no one goes home feel the other didn't deserve the prize just as much as their favorite.

Backups

Aiden and Tess: They are in the ire of a fresh heel and are not in the most stable of standings in the game. But have focus and a good rival to feud with that could create some magic in the narrative. Jake v. Aiden & Tess v. Gabby. Jake gone heel and is being a brat, Aiden been putting up with it and seeing him retaliate will make good head vs head to see who stays and who goes. While Tess has a more philosophical feud with Gabby , she'll want to be friends and she probably not going to be able to stop an enrage Gabby with just words. Could be another fun match for survival.

Ok, but really? Jake - I know people like Jake I understand the appeal. I think the heel turn will be good for him. But he a brat! I don't like petty! Maybe that the reason you like him and I agree it going to be fun. But I'm backing Aiden any day of the week and not just because I'm bias because trans.

Grett_ I'm not opposed to it, could be fun seeing her rising over her terrible ex. But where the foundation? Where the focus? How does she turn this minor feud into a game winner? Yes I want her to destroy Yul but I don't think she the main eventer. She in the mid card not the blow out match. Maybe that because Yul doesn't make sense to me as the main event feud but that the lot for now.

Ally - she got something foundation wise, but like really? We wrote that Ally and Hunter fallout and looked at that and said yeah this is good opener to her rise to the top. No, no it isn't. She'll need much more in my opinion to take that prize.

Gabby- Look Gabby fans I get it, you been on crumbs for 7 episodes and now you all been present a feast. I'm happy for you. But those 7 episodes happened. She doesn't get to skate by on nothing and get rocketed to the moon. She going to have to work for it, should she flourish yes, but you got to address the fact the foundation not there before she gets that title shot.

Tom - Tom fans like do any you think he going to win the big one, like honestly? Like he playing nothing but himself. He got carried here by feud with Jake for drama points. He the face for the heels to chew up and spit out.

Riya - Doesn't feel like a finale villain.

Yul - X-PAC heat, aka GO AWAY HEAT

Ellie had this one coming, revival maybe, but since it heel city I think they'll bring back heroes not villains.

A brand new group of celebrities will be getting ready to show off their baking skills, as The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer returns to Channel 4 this year.

Over the course of five episodes, hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will welcome 20 famous faces we all know and love to the Bake Off tent, all of whom will be vying to impress Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their bakes.

Within their groups, the celebrities will compete against one another in order to be crowned Star Baker at the end of their episode.

The likes of Danny Dyer, Jodie Whittaker, Mel B and Oti Mabuse are amongst the celebrities taking to the tent this year.

Jodie Whittaker is an English actress who many people will recognise as being the Thirteenth Doctor in Doctor Who from 2017 to 2022. After three special episodes in 2022, it was revealed that David Tennant would take over as the Doctor for the 60th anniversary special, before Ncuti Gatwa took over full-time.

Whittaker previously told RadioTimes.com at the Radio Times Covers Party that she finds it emotional being referenced in current episodes of Doctor Who.

She said: “It’s amazing. It’s so emotional as well because, for us, it was such a present thing. We were in it and we were living it in real time, and now to be part of the canon and reference points, it’s really magical.”

New York Comic Con is one of the biggest comic conventions in the world, with fans, creators, stars, artists, writers, and cosplayers converging on the Javits Center every October. With all the announcements and incredible reveals at the show, it can be easy to get swept up and forget what that first C in NYCC stands for: Comics. To make sure you make the most of the con floor this year, we've selected 10 artists who will make venturing into the impressive (and sometimes intimidating) Artist Alley a highlight of your 2019 convention schedule!

Dave Baker and Nicole Goux

This powerhouse pair of cartoonists have been making brilliant comics together for a few years and are probably best known for their teen coming-of-age comic F*ck Off Squad. Dynamic, stylish illustrations from Goux and razor-sharp writing from Baker make their books some of the best of the last few years. Baker is also a talented artist whose surreal sci-fi series Action Hospital is one of the most unique books on shelves, and Goux was recently announced as the artist on DC's new Cass Cain Batgirl Original Graphic Novel, Shadow of the Batgirl.

Ngozi Ukazu

Check, Please! is nothing less than a cultural phenomenon and the Ignatz-nominated cartoonist behind it will be at NYCC again this year. Ukazu's gorgeous webcomic about hockey, baking, and falling in love took the internet by storm, becoming "the most funded webcomics Kickstarter ever" before it was picked up by rad comics publisher First Second. Ukazu is a unique talent in the industry who tells heartfelt, gorgeous stories that offer a respite from the horrors of everyday life alongside vital lessons about growing up.

Rian Gonzalez

Looking for a bit of magic in your life? Then make sure you head to Rian Gonzalez's table. Her technicolor visions of your favorite heroes have made her one of the internet's favorite artists. Rian's lovely and utterly singular art has been featured on the covers of comics from massive publishers like Marvel, Archie, and IDW. If you want art that will make you happy every single time you look at it, then put visiting Rian at the top of your NYCC to-do list.

Ashley A. Woods

Breaking into comics via self-publishing can be tough, but that's exactly what Ashley A. Woods did with her series Millennia War. Since then, her art has been making waves as she showcased her talents in the acclaimed Black Comix: African American Independent Comics, Art and Culture, covers for Black Mask's acclaimed Black series, and on titles like Tomb Raider, Lady Castle, and Niobe, the last of which was recently picked up by HBO. That's not Woods' only TV claim to fame, though, as her art will soon be seen in J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele's upcoming chiller, Lovecraft Country.

Royal A. Dunlap

With his newly announced queer climate change comic, b.b. free, coming from Boom! Studios (alongside America's Gabby Rivera), Royal Dunlap is one of comics' most exciting new prospects. But if you've been keeping an eye on the industry, then you'll already recognize his distinctive style; his art has graced the covers of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and will feature in the upcoming Elements: Earth anthology in a story written by James F. Wright.  

Daniel Warren Johnson

You've probably seen Daniel Warren Johnson's extremely intricate and impressive commissions pop up on your Twitter timeline. The comics creator's favorite comics creator is also the mind behind Image Comics' radical Extremity (alongside colorist Mike Spicer). Dense illustration, surprising layouts, and explosive action define much of Johnson's work, but he's also funny (check out the searingly silly Murder Falcon)and heartfelt (his self-published Star Wars comics are heartbreakingly great). Basically, he's got something for everyone! 

Tess Stone

Good horror comics are hard to find, but Tess Stone's Not Drunk Enough has been entertaining genre fans since it began in 2015. The monster melee ensues after a lab accident and, four years later, is still going strong. A talented cartoonist, Stone is known for his stylized illustrations, spot colors, and love of the weird and strange. If you want to pick up something creepy-cute at NYCC this year, then make sure you visit Tess when you venture into the Javits.

Afua Richardson

If you read Marvel's Eisner-winning Black Panther: World of Wakanda series, then you'll already be familiar with the wonderful art of Afua Richardson. Her vibrant artwork has been seen on the covers of comics, including All-Star Batman, X-Men '92, and Captain Marvel. Not only is she a massive comics art talent, her illustrations influenced the team who worked on the Black Panther movie. She also drew the critically-acclaimed Genius, co-creating a brilliant and unexpected heroine in Destiny (alongside writers Marc Bernadin and Adam Freeman). 

Zu Orzu

You might recognize Zu Orzu's stunning work from the covers of comics like Valiant's XO Manowar and Punk Mambo, or you might recognize her digital colors from Jinxworld's Cover. If you've yet to discover Zu's work, then NYCC is the perfect time. And if you already like her instantly-recognizable mixed media, then make sure you visit Zu this year before she becomes a household name!
