I love how different Reigen's boys are. Mob, naïve and hopeful as he is, would confess to his shishou multiple times, especially once he's older, even though deep down he knows that it's not so easy to earn Reigen's acception — not for his young old feelings, at the very least. But he would try, again and again, touching Shishou the ways he shouldn't, his eyes always tracing Reigen's frame, and following his measured steps. Mob isn't the one to give up.

Ritsu, on the other hand, is logical and pragmatic, he stands firmly on the ground and not flies between the clouds like his nii-san. He sees reality a little more clearly, a little more pessimistically, his vision is not blurred by love or hope or Reigen-san's kindness. Reigen is kind, Ritsu can admit it now — never to Reigen personally, though. So Ritsu knows more than anyone that this kindness would never let this man accept a confession from someone so young, someone he cared for when they were a kid. That doesn't stop Ritsu from showing his affection towards Reigen-san in his own reserved and modest ways. Ritsu is the one who loves quietly.

And Teru, oh boy, where do I start with Teru? Firstly, he's a mix of both Kageyama brothers: bright and hopeful as Mob is, but isn't straightforward and persistent enough. Realistic like Ritsu, but not reserved and shy enough. He's aware of Reigen's morals, he's aware of how Reigen sees him and Mob and Ritsu — as kids. Yet he can't help but flirt; it's just who Hanazawa Teruki is, playful nature, starry eyes, gentle touch, and kind smiles that make all the girls melt into a puddle. He's a gentleman: he carries Reigen-san's bags after a shopping, and helps him put on his coat when they need to walk out of the office or the restaurant, or even offers to pay for Reigen's drinks and food. He gives him compliments. Reigen is visibly uncomfortable with everything, always rejecting Teru and his generous offers and his more-than-just-polite help, but Teru is unable to stop. He likes to surprise Reigen-san, his best friend's crush and long-term shishou. He likes to see how Kageyama-kun's eyes grow wide and dark with jealousy. Teru is a golden retriever boy, but he's also confident and competitive. He's the one to fuel the fire of rivalry.

CEO of terurei angst makes a sick return. I also had to translate omake 2 with google translate please have mercy on my soul. and also somewhat shifted the wording so it made better sense to me.

Fingertips and nails dug into the metal of a pod. There was flatlining nearby, but it was faint to her ears.

He couldn't be dead. He couldn't be dead. He couldn't be dead. They were supposed to get married in just a few weeks-- her dress had already been bought, the venue had already booked, their vows written and memorized... Teruya couldn't be dead.

"Please take good care of Kisaragi Foundation Logistics Department Rei Mekaru."

Tsurugi didn't even seem to care about the loss of their coworker, their companion, his friend. His gaze had remained cold and he continued giving orders, even whilst the unbearable beep-beep-beeeeeping filled the halls.

Her tears would begin the rusting of the cruel device as she weeped for her fiance, whilst the director lived his day-to-day life guilt free. She hated that man, she hated that man.

Ando stepped into the room, armed with defibrillators, and forced Rei to get away from the pod as he cracked it open and began his attempt to resuscitate her sunshine, her everything.

Teruya did not awaken. His flesh was cold, his eyes were lidded and dark and glazed, his body was relaxed. Rei pleaded and pleaded and pleaded, but he did not come rushing to her aid. he did not promise her that everything would be okay.

He was gone. And the moment the realization came to her, the moment she felt a part of her begin to die. This was her fault, her love for him had distracted her from her job-- and she failed to code an escape code for him, as well.

She did not deserve to be Rei Mekaru-Otori, nor did she deserve to be Rei Mekaru, former ultimate professor. She was just the head of the logistics department, numb to her own feelings now that she had lost everything she had once held dear.

Teruko/Arei please please please

Hi, yes! I love love love LOVE TERUREI!!

I'm struggling with headcanons, so I wrote a short story, I hope that's okay. If you do want headcanons specifically, don't be afraid to reask, just specify!

Surprisingly, Teruko wasn't the rough sleeper of the two. That dishonor had to be Arei's. She was a deep sleeper, but she moves around in her sleep constantly. Teruko always complains the next morning about how Arei rolled on top of her or stole all of the covers.

"Well, I'm sor-ry I'm not used to sleeping with other people," the bowler would pout, crossing her arms and tilting her chin up and away all mighty-like.

Teruko wasn't either.

Tonight wasn't any different. Arei slapped an arm over Teruko's face, violently pulling her from a dream. Teruko sighed (a bit too dramatically) and rolled over. She adjusted Arei so that she was laying on her back, arm naturally slung over her chest and tucking the other beside her.

Teruko tucked the blanket around her next, like her brother used to do. In her sleep, Arei sighs happily, the corners of her lips twitching up. The taller held her breath. Luckily, Arei didn't stir any more.

Reassured Arei was asleep, Teruko bent to kiss her forehead. She tossed herself on her other side, flinging the rest of the blanket around her shoulders.

"Knew you loved me," Arei snarks sleepily.

"Shut up."

Arei always gives Teruko those cute little bandages for when she gets injured, and although Teruko likes to lie and say she thinks they’re stupid she finds it cute

Teruko always arrives extra early to Arei’s tournaments and stuff because she knows if she tries coming at a normal time her bad luck will make her late. (She’s always the first to arrive!!)

Teruko sleeps sprawled out and needs very little blanket, and Arei sleeps like a person in a coffin and needs most of the blanket, so they work

Arei paints Teruko’s nails for her because Teruko has very shaky hands and can’t do it for herself

Before they got together whenever Teruko would bicker with Arei her go to response would be “ you’re saying that because you wanna kiss me SOOO bad.”

I'm mostly a MobRei main, but I'm in love with basically any Reigen ship. He's so shippable. Such a good adult, so reliable and trustworthy even with all his lies, the only one in the lives of the most of the young cast. The way he can easily soothe their anxious souls and ignite the hope in their hearts, along with giving them the best kind of advices they've never hoped to find... Reigen doesn't know, probably doesn't even thinks it's possible, but he makes himself so easy to love... At least for them, for the youths he saved by having the most deceitful mouth.
