the terrorist situation that happened in Austria is heartbreaking and terrifying, but what's also scary is that people are saying "it's Taylor's fault if children had died", or "oh if I knew a terrorist threat would cancel her I would have done it". I don't understand how demented one must be to see something like this and place blame (and shift the focus on her may I add, not the ones that could have died) on the artist, when we know full well, had it been a Kendrick Lamar or Harry Styles concert, no one would have pointed a finger of blame at them

Two of the teen attempted terrorists (19, 17, of isis) apparently had been hired to work security at the Taylor swift concert. They were going to drive a car full of explosives into the venue.
They were security.
They had the explosives already.
It’s unbelievable they caught them before it happened.

i have like no followers BUT i did want to just say something.
nobody is talking about how scary it is that Taylor is literally under attack. right this very minute. the Liverpool stabbings were presumably done out of hatred of Taylor. the Vienna terrorist attack was an attack ON THE STADIUM that she was supposed to play at. they planned to run over fans and stab them, as well as blowing up the stadium.
it just scares me. because i know they’re not done. and i don’t know if they’ll ever stop until there’s no more motivation because she’s already harmed.
this is the reality we have to live in. where people are planning out attacks on a pop singer.
the hatred for her has gotten way out of hand. just saying, i would never plan attacks on an artist who i don’t like or their fans. and people praising those people planning attacks are just sick. this is a human being. act like it.
they won’t stop until taylor is dead. i know that’s dark but if the police never caught those kids planning the terrorist attack she’d be harmed, or worse, dead. and along with tens of thousands of innocent swifties.
she’s alive right now by mere luck, and so are her fans. and that scares the shit out of me.

It's so disgusting that some Swifties have been deadly silent about the ongoing genocide and they immediately talk about how people shouldn't be scared for their lives and the importance of safety when something touches them like are you ok?

seeing taylor say “we did it” and letting out a massive sigh of relief before taking her final bow at the last london show hits so hard after her instagram caption. i don’t think any of us can begin to fathom what she’s been grappling with in the wake of the thwarted terrorist attack in vienna, what weight it must feel like to have the health and safety of thousands of people resting squarely on your shoulders. for her to get back on the eras tour stage in london this week and put on a brave face for everyone — knowing that just one wrong action, one wrong comment, could “provoke those who want to harm the fans who come to [her] shows” — took an incredible amount of courage. idk about you guys, but i just feel so overwhelmingly proud of her and i hope that her, the dancers, the band, and her crew can get some well-deserved rest now.

@catlock-holmes @kingofspadesdelusion and everyone else actually.
i am sorry about the last part. i don't want ANYONE to get hurt. i wouldn't want it to be the people i went with or any of the other fans. and certainly not taylor swift (or her have to deal with the aftermath of such a horrible tragedy - or any of us really).
this planned terrorist attack was extremely serious. they made the right decision to cancel the shows.
it also just fucking sucks. i can't understand how people can have so much HATRED in themselves. it is horrible. the terrorists were extremely young - i don't even want them to die. because they were probably forced to do this, idk. i want to believe that no 15-19yo would kill themselves like this.
i mean it when i say i will forever be heartbroken and devastated by this for the rest of my life. this was gonna be the most amazing concert. something to look back at in happiness, pure joy. now it forever will be looked at with disappointment and pain.
for over a year we have been preparing for this concert. we put hours into remembering the lyrics, the chants. into making friendship bracelets. we put so much thought and money into our outfits... the anticipatory expectation was UNREAL. now i cry myself to sleep because of this.
so yes, mentally i understand their decision. no, emotionally i will not ever get over this. so yeah, maybe wasn't the right thing to say, but it came from a place of my deepest hurt, anger and disappointment - for all the swifties for me, taylor swift and humanity.
i wilL never EVER RECOVER FROM THIS
taylor swift's eras tour - all three shows in vienna are cancelled because some assholes wanted to make a terror attack .
i am not even kidding when i say i would have rather died than not see her. my life is a fucking joke.

my dad mentioned the vienna situation to me and one of the things i told him was that i find it very curious that 3 little girls are killed at a dance class and a week later there’s a terrorist attack planed at the eras tour, to which he replied that both events are unrelated… but i disagree.
the deep hatred for taylor and the fandom has reached a level of insanity that is ending with the life of innocent girls. it is a known fact that taylor’s audience is formed by mostly women and girls (we can also note that lots of her fans are part of the lgbtq community) so it is not a coincidence that it is events related to her the ones being targeted lately.
it’s really scary to see young men being radicalized by the internet. all the misogynistic comments and “jokes” about mass murdering swifties translate to the real world by inciting people to bring said “jokes” to reality and create terror.
the eras tour has been a safe space for women and girls to express their love for an artist in whom they’ve found comfort, to be themselves and have a lovely time. from my experience, it was one of the best atmospheres i have ever been in… and now it is being taken from us… will we women be allowed to enjoy anything? are we allowed to exist at all?

Out and about | London, England | August 12, 2024
Vivienne Westwood ‘Cut Off Jacket’ - $1,395.00 Vivienne Westwood ‘Wizard Frill Shirt’ - $760.00 Vivienne Westwood ‘Cut Off Skirt’ - $960.00 Vivienne Westwood 'Tuesday Mini Bag' $690.00 Sézane ‘Georgia High Mary Janes in Pistachio’ - $230.00
This marks a second time Taylor has made a direct pull from the VW FW 2024 lookbook. Like her previous look, shared by Brittany Mahomes when they were in Amsterdam, Taylor sought to diverge from the designer’s styling through her choice in footwear. The VW team styled this look with thigh-high red socks and tonal red platforms. Taylor instead opted for a Christmas Clueless-meets-Austin Powers aesthetic with crisp white socks and olive mary jane heels that bring out the green tones in her tartan set. I think the choice works to create a cohesive colour palette and makes more sense for the warmer weather in London. And also greeeeeeeeeeeen.
I personally love seeing the difference from in how a garment ultimately gets worn as a street style look it demonstrates an individual’s POV. The power of styling is everything! While a copy + paste of a campaign look is fun to see (esp for the designer kick of it all!), I think it’s most fun when someone brings that ‘styling’ element to a look and can depart dramatically from the designer’s original vision to give us their take on an outfit. I actually could imagine Taylor keeping the socks but opting in for those mary jane pumps and ditching the fussy shirt underneath for a simple tee or tank. If this were taking place in cooler temps I could also imagine a turtleneck and tights with heeled booties.
Taken in isolation, this is a great shoulder season look that, while not my personal taste, bridges the short hemlines and cute heels of summer with an autumnal palette and layering via the frilly white shirt. It also continues the connection between TTPD and VW. A signature of this era so far has been the corseted look, something that VW played a huge role in modernizing and integrating into their brand house codes.Taylor has worn many VW pieces for this era including while performing songs from TTPD on the Eras Tour.
This is Taylor’s first physical appearance since her trio of shows in Vienna, Austria were cancelled due to planned threats of a terrorist attack. Taylor has not commented thus far on these cancellations. According to reports, this appearance in London was following a party for Eras Tour staff ahead of her final string of shows at Wembley which conclude the European leg of this tour.

A pit of nausea is boiling in my stomach today. It’s fury and fear and a sadness that sears to the bone. It swept in suddenly as I opened my phone to the news that three of Taylor Swift’s shows in Vienna, Austria have been cancelled by police due to the thwarting of a terrorist attack. Reading that sentence, I’m back in 2017, chest burning with horror and grief at the bomb that went off as young women danced and sang their hearts out with Ariana Grande. We know what attacks like this look like, we’ve felt them before, their echoes held in the minds and hearts of every live music fan across the world even now.
So, there is also relief swimming in the sick, that the police got to this in time. That they made the call that means thousands of people quite literally live to see another day. My head is spinning thinking about what could’ve been. Feeling for the fans, musicians and Taylor herself whose lives have orbited at least a little around the glittery nights they were promised. The friendship bracelets.  The cowboy boots. The glorious high of screaming ‘Fuck the patriarchy’ in a sold out stadium. The expectant hush that falls over things before the opening chords of a surprise song. The putting together of pieces in the mashups that follow. I know it’s just a concert; there’ll be more of them, we hope, but it’s also not…
It's yet more proof that we didn’t need, of an ugly truth, splashed in oozing neon. It rears its head all over the world in millions of foul devastating ways every single day and yet it still hurts every single time. The thing that most frightens men and boys is a woman succeeding. A woman living. A woman thriving. A woman feeling joy. Women gathering together in a communion of emotion that borders on the sacred, because it’s so rare in its safety and warmth.
That’s how I would describe the nights I was privileged enough to spend at the Eras Tour earlier this year. A singular celebration of all a woman has made through her own blood, sweat and tears. A visual and musical experience underpinned by one of my favourite quotes ever from the glorious Carrie Fisher, “Take your broken heart, make it into art.” If you’re anything like me, it’s soundtracked your own.
We’ve watched that heart break and heal again and again. Blows dealt by men loitering in a girlhood they had no place in. By ill-fated romance, snuffed out because egos couldn’t bear the load or because two people just weren’t the right fit.  By calculated campaigns designed to distort an image, dismantle a reputation and lay ruin to a legacy. And yet she’s here. And so are we. Women, I mean. Again and again we resist. We persist. We insist.
Our joy is not yours to steal. Our lives are not yours to threaten. We will keep finding it. Rising. Screaming. Teaching the boys and men around us to be better. Defying. Demanding. Deciding. I’m not interested in what you think about Taylor Swift’s music or her privilege, a financial sheen that I remind you protects from no bullet or harm being done to you or innoc ent people, in your name.  In fact, it invites it. Over and over again. But I am interested in how you talk about this moment. Right now. The one that almost happened but didn’t. It’s a sliding door so what are we going to make sure waits on the other side of it?

I know the terrorist attack in Vienna was only targeted on a concert, not necessarily Taylor Swift herself. But they did choose The Eras Tour for their attack, and it's more proof that women are not allowed to have fun or feel safe anywhere. Not even at a show specifically made for us.
People have flown to countries they probably would've never seen before if it wasn't for Taylor Swift and her music.
Women aren't safe or welcome. It's being proven time and time again, and it's so exhausting.
I am so very thankful that a huge catastrophy has been avoided, because it would've been truly awful. I don't even want to think about what could've happened, and I'm so glad that nothing like this did happen at the other shows.
But it's tiring.

I was supposed to go to the Eras Tour in Vienna on Saturday. Now, some men decided to plan a terrorist attack for one of the Vienna concerts which subsequently have been canceled.
Of course, that was absolutely the right decision. And it might be a first world problem, but I've been looking forward to this concert for a year and am just so sad

I am fucking disgusted by the terrorists that were planning to attack Taylor Swift's concerts. Part of it is because of the internet—because these dudes were part of those people who said, "I hate Taylor Swift, I hope she and her fans die." THIS IS HOW MISOGYNY TRANSLATES INTO REAL LIFE. People can say it's a joke all they want, but the truth is that they hate women. THEY HATE US. They hate us being happy; they hate us having a favorite singer and enjoying life. This makes me feel sick.
I'm sick to my stomach. I went to The Eras Tour when Taylor came to my country, and I've seen girls my age, little girls, women... This is supposed to be our safe space. Why is the world so cruel?
