Look, it wasn't like Katsuki was a nervous wreck about it or anything. It was just weird not having his shitty hair in class the past two days. Kirishima was pretty tough. He was literally made of sturdier stuff than the average moron. His impressive durability was matched only by his impressive obliviousness. He would probably be over this in a matter of days. Katsuki had seen Kirishima overcome far worse foes than a case of the sniffles.

Kirishima comes down with a cold, and in trying to get better as soon as possible, he mayyyy have taken a little more cold medicine than advisable. And then said some things he hadn't meant to say.

Whenever Kirishima comes around with that big, goofy smile of his during Bakugou's convenience store shift, he brings in the damp smell of rainwater and faint cologne.

It drives Bakugou's heart insane in every way.

The self-proclaimed Bakusquad noticed it first. Bakugo had come back from summer break after their third semester in college, and he was different, somehow.

Bakugo had . . . met someone over break. It wasn’t intentional, and he was certainly surprised it even went this far, considering it started with him thinking he was going to fucking die. -- “Hey,” The man said, wearing a firefighter uniform, ax strapped on his hip and soot covering the yellow parts of his uniform, “I am going to pick you up, alright? You’re safe now, okay?”
