I love to roleplay and talk about my hyperfixations. Talking about headcanons is an excellent way for me to connect with others!

I‘m a multishipper with most of my fandoms, but sometimes I'm more set and stone, depending on the fandom.

A warning to anyone who may end up befriending me: I go on rants. Typically, they're happy rants about my hyperfixations. For example, my girlfriend had to sit through a 10-minute rant about me explaining all the reasons why Prince Nuada is the best Hellboy villain and even one of my all-time favorite villains.

Just…Don’t mention 2019 Hellboy around me. That sparks a not-so-happy rant session. I hate that movie…….

~~ Roleplay rules ~~

For those who are interested in roleplaying with me, here's some basic stuff to keep in mind.

I do NOT allow:

Mentions of SA, SH, gr*oming, or anything like that. Dead dove stuff is a no-no.

Acting out domestic abuse. Mentions of it is fine, but I will not roleplay it.

Characters randomly getting terminally ill. I lost my dad to cancer, and believe it or not, people have tried forcing it into roleplays before without asking me about it.

Killing off important characters without asking first.

Controlling my character is a no-no. If you need my character to do something for the sake of your reply, please tell me ooc.

I roleplay on Discord, and I do not roleplay with people under the age of 18.

Script roleplay.

Op characters. Strong, yes, op, no.

I DO allow:

Smut/NSFW. The plot can't surround it completely, though.

Double ups.

Gore and violence (to a certain extent)

Angst.

B x B, B x G, G x G, and Poly relationships.

Canon x Canon is preferred. I only do OC roleplays with people I'm close to.

Communication ooc. Talking about plot points, headcanons, and potential scenes is a lot of fun for me!

Expressive roleplay is excellent. Don't be scared to hold back character personalities! If my character says something your character would hate, don't hesitate to have them rebel! I love it when people get super in character during roleplay!

If you want to draw a scene from the roleplay, idm that, too! I may even draw scenes from roleplays!

Don't be shy when talking ooc! I still like to make conversation when I'm too tired to roleplay!

I love creativity and descriptiveness. You don't ALWAYS need to be at 100%, though! Don't feel pressured to write extremely long replies if you're too tired or just don't know what to say.

GANSEY....

I knew I could trust you on this!!!

So, this is about the Give Me a Character ask game, and I’m ready for destruction!

How I feel about this character

He’s such a dramatic, mentally twisted disaster, how can I NOT love him dearly? True talk though, Gansey in my opinion had a great “peel this multilayer onion” reveal through the books. At the beginning you have him as the Obvious Endgame Love Interest and the Goofy Leader, but then all the idiosyncrasies came up and it was impossible not to like him. And then there is the final rush of “I would do everything for my friends but they don’t want it and they don’t need me” and BABY YOU GOT ME IN YOUR CORNER FOR LIFE!

All the people I ship romantically with this character

(Nervous laughter) I’m a terminal multishipper, asking me this is like getting a shopping list...But okay, whatever! I mean, for sure Ronan, Adam, Blue, and Henry (all together or in whichever mix and match you might desire them). Declan as well as far as I’m concerned (and I think he could join into some Ashley stuff, more sexytime then romantic 1.0). He could also end up in a dubious Fox Way sandwich with Orla and Blue because why not, he’s stressed, he deserves some fun (more sexytime then romantic 2.0).  Basically, JUST TRY ME!

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Noah for sure! And I also really liked the messy relationship between Gansey and Helen (which shows from the way I write them probably). And I like to think of Gansey and the 300 Fox Way ladies too, I think there is potential for the “You’re now The Boyfriend which means we get to bully you even MORE”

My unpopular opinion about this character

People sometime acts as if Gansey is either a genius mastermind or a total disaster. He’s very clever, very well-studied and also a disaster and all things should be balanced equally. Also, the general Blusey “soulmate true love” thing never really cracked it for me, the canon material has him too strongly codependent on the whole ensemble of people for getting the one girlfriend and that’s it. 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Correlated to the previous one, obviously and predictably, GIVE HIM THE POLYCULE HE SO CLEARLY CRAVES. At the very least a Sarchensey, I’m not picky. Also, I wish we could have seen him going more deranged, or got more glimpses of absolutely dysfunctional coping mechanisms and/or batshit crazy ways to obtain information. Because I really think HE WOULD.

random fitzskimmons headcanons

daisy calls jemma and fitz ‘babe’. she specifically calls jemma ‘jem’ and fitz ‘honey’

fitz calls daisy ‘love’ and jemma ‘sweetheart’

jemma doesn’t usually use endearments, but sometimes, when it’s been a really long day and she’s feeling so very grateful that all three of them made it through [insert world-ending event here], she uses ‘darling’

daisy reads the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy. religiously. also every other kind of scifi (she loves firefly) (she can only enjoy most of them alone, though, because both jemma and fitz enjoy poking holes in the various science-based plots)

fitz and jemma prefer fantasy (they’re both die hard harry potter fans), but jemma will also read detective novels and fitz, very rarely (because he never has free time / the right headspace), will read poetry

all three of them enjoy doctor who, but jemma’s the one who’s watched every single season. while fitz and daisy cry about rose being the doctor’s one true love, jemma’s rolling her eyes and thinking about four x sarah jane (jemma is a multishipper: confirmed)

when fitz is busy, daisy and jemma will watch hardcore action movies. they like the fast and the furious and the terminator franchises. they usually spend the entire movie alternating between jemma complaining about the unrealistic science and daisy complaining about the unrealistic fight scenes, but they never stop watching

jemma and fitz watch science documentaries and spend the whole time talking about the possible applicability of whatever the current one’s about to SHIELD operations. when they need a break from work, they watch the great british baking show (they have a pact of silence from the academy days that still hasn’t been broken - daisy only found out because all three of them share a netflix account and they’re not very subtle)

daisy and fitz watch romantic comedies, and star wars, and star trek, and lots of other idealistic and hopeful stuff about the human race and our capacity to love. they usually don’t talk much while watching, but you can find them debating plot points in the middle of the night, in bed, when jemma’s in the middle and tryING TO SLEEP, DAMMIT

speaking of which: daisy’s a total night owl, and even though working with may has totally ruined her ability to sleep in, she’s still incapable of making herself go to bed early

fitz stays up if he’s in the middle of something interesting for work or some conversation with daisy, but otherwise he’s pretty good at going to bed in a timely manner

jemma is downright NEUROTIC about her sleep schedule. (it’s because she’s secretly NOT a morning person, shh, don’t tell anyone.) she’s always going to bed in an empty bed and sprawling out in her sleep and daisy and fitz have to sort of... maneuver her into one third of the bed when they finally decide to sleep (this is how they decide who’s sleeping where - they don’t have any sort of organization about it lol, it’s just the ‘what part of the bed is jemma asleep in tonight??’ game, every night)

fitz gives the BEST footrubs and massages. jemma requests them almost every night.

daisy does jemma’s hair... probably too often. it’s not like anyone’s complaining, though.

jemma bakes when she’s feeling anxious (i’m SURE i got this from a fic but i’m not sure which one, if someone could link it that would be EXCELLENT, thank you kindly). sometimes daisy comes home after a long day, opens her mouth to say hello, and gets a brownie stuffed in by a passing jemma

“tell me if it’s any good?” she says, distracted, as she walks by, holding a wooden spoon that’s still covered in chocolate batter

daisy hacks random things when she has free time, which comes in large chunks (look, either the world’s ending, or it’s not). SHIELD seemed to high-key forget her original skillset when she got powers, and she misses it

Rules

Para: If you’d like to para, that is fine, but if it’s anything that is ridiculously long, please put it under a “read-more.” Also, if it’s something that is rather smutty or violent, that needs to go under a “read-more” as well, with tagging indicating what it is. I know that I prefer gif-convos to paras, so there really is no preference for what you do, but please have a healthy balance.

2. Cutting Posts: Please, please cut your posts. Only include your response and the one you are responding to. This goes for all types of posts whether it be para or gif-convos. I really, really like a nice, clean dash. If you do not know how to cut posts or are not doing it correctly, I can either tell you and help you out, or feel free to send me an ask about it.

3. God-Modding: For those who don’t know, this is controlling someone else’s character without their consent. It can be rude and annoying, so please don’t do it. Alright? Alright. However, there have been a few instances where in a para, the person asks if they can god-mod a character a bit but still keep it true to their character’s bio. This is perfectly fine. Just make sure you have everyone’s consent before doing-so.

4. Mature Themes: This goes with what I said in the “Para” section of the rules. “Read-More,” please.

5. Activity: I know that life gets in the way, believe me, but if you are going to be inactive for a significant amount of time, just let us know! Sending an ask would be the best bet. If I do not hear from you in about a week and you have not sent an indication on whether or not you will be gone, I will send you a message. If I do not hear back soon, I’ll reopen your role just for the sake of fairness to active people who might want to play it.

6. Second Characters: If you want to take on a second character, go ahead! Feel free! The more characters, the merrier! Just make sure you can handle your characters, and you are active with your accounts. The pass is Rebirth. My general rule for picking up a second would be after we’ve seen what you can do for a week to two weeks. Send in an app and you’ll be good to go!

7. No OOC Drama: This is a biggie. If you don’t like someone IC, that’s awesome. Great character development. If you don’t like someone OOC, please just keep it to yourself. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then please don’t say it at all.

8. Major Plotlines and Endgames: I’m a huge fan of ships. Love them, multishipper, so if you want to start a ship, feel free! There are no endgames here. However, if you come up with a major plotline such as a death or a pregnancy or terminal illness or something, just run it by me for approval.

9. FCs: You can request a change but depending on the character, I may not allow a change. But I am always open to other suggestions, so your safest bet is to just ask!

Not trying to start a fight- Honestly I 100% thought this at first but the more I thought about it the more irritated it made me. I accidentally wrote a goddamn essay sorry there's a tldr at the bottom.

Regarding Adam himself, I don't blame him for the argument. I don't think it was completely unfair, as in it wasn't a manipulation but just the way break ups go sometimes, there's always a reason. He didn't want to date (I thought they were canonically engaged? Idk might be my b) someone who was actively making their terminal condition worse, and that's fair. But also doesn't really mean Shiro has to change his life for Adam. That's what I didn't like about the argument, Adam made it about himself and he couldn't honestly expect Shiro to change his mind based on that. So idk, I guess my point is I didn't like the argument, but the reason for the breakup was totally fair.

Back to the "bury your gays" yeah at first I 110% agreed with you. I didn't think so because I was like Shiro was "The Gay" not Adam, Adam was just a side character to show the relationship and what happened to him didn't dismiss Shiro's sexuality. But thinking about it objectively....... they absolutely did not handle that right. They went in with the pre-season stuff and showed Adam. And yeah it was a breakup but did the fans didn't know that was it and done for their story. So until the season is out everyone is losing there shit because hell yes a major gay character and everyone is absolutely celebrating. Then we watch the season and Adam dies. That's it. A breakup and a death. It was unexpected and disappointing. I honest to God thought, at this point, the show showed and killed Adam just so they could put Shiro in a real relationship (ya know, one a good chunk of the fandom was rooting for). I really thought that. So the last season I was like.... waiting for something that never came, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Then an epilogue pops up. Shiro married unnamed guy. Huh?

This whole thing could have not happened with simple changes. 1.) Don't introduce Adam beforehand. It made fans expect a LOT only to be let down. Like we know they just broke up, and they just brought it up now. The show NEVER brought up Shiro's backstory before. 'Why now? Oh look, Voltron is headed back to Earth, they can reunite! Oh he's dead.' They should have had some forethought for how fans would perceive that knowing mans was going to die like... immediately. And I think it's a tad unfair to be mad at people who reacted badly. I think the LGBT+ community is quite literally at the end of it's rope with this stuff and they KNEW what kind of fanbase they had. How could they not. 2.) Instead of throwing a marriage in there, they could have put a little more effort into introducing Curtis and ending with something tentative. Like a, leaning over his console "Nice job, Curtis" and Curtis stuttering a thanks Captain and Shiro tells him to call him Shiro and they smile at each other that's it. I would literally bet my right arm that would have gone down better with everyone than showing an image of a wedding with a guy that the subtitles literally dubbed as "Crew member" until the adjustments.

Tldr: I'm a huge multishipper, I'm not overly attached to any ship. So when I look back on those seasons I get mad annoyed with what happened. Not as someone who particularly cares about Adashi, but as a tired gay. It was not handled well at all and ngl I would prefer Adam not even existing and the show just ending with Shiro and Curtis marrying. It would be a happy surprise like with Korra and Asami, not a "ok quick let's tie this up" letdown.

To this day I still struggle to understand why people went absolutely apeshit over Adam's death. Like... we saw him for maybe five whole minutes and the first time he was on screen he was forcing Shiro into an unfair ultimatum between continuing their relationship and following his dreams before Shiro could no longer go on missions. Yes it was said word of god that Shiro and Adam had a good relationship and might have gotten engaged if they hadn't broken up but there's clearly so much tension between them when we first see Shiro and Adam together on screen that they have to have been arguing about it for a long time. Shiro was chronically (possibly even terminally) ill and had aspirations he wanted to achieve before it was too late for him. If their relationship was really so good then Adam would have understood and accepted that, and Shiro would have slowed down and spent more time with his boyfriend (because while I refuse to blame Shiro I get that Adam probably felt like he wasn't valued as much as Shiro actually did love him because Shiro didn't communicate very well). Maybe it's because I've never felt neglected by a significant other that I can't grasp it, but with the obvious lack of understanding and communication between them when we see their argument it baffles me that people genuinely expected Shiro and Adam to get back together and got so angry when Adam died.

Voltron didn't "bury their gay" by killing off Adam, he was a plot device to actually show us that Shiro was into men rather than having it just be stated outside of the show and the reaction from fans (antis mostly) who were outraged that he died is the reason why we were stuck with that heartless, half-assed gay wedding tacked on after the credits for damage control. A lot of people were very hurt by the showrunners going "he's the gay one, look he married a man canonically even though they had no preexisting relationship, shut up now" with Shiro and I fully blame the people who flipped their shit when Adam died for that. I'm not talking about the people who ship them because idc what you ship even if I don't like/understand it, I mean the people who threw a collective tantrum loud enough for the executives to pull the showrunners aside and tell them that they had to give Shiro a new love interest.
