The Hidden Dangers of Gratitude
Synopsis: After days in a safe house under the protection of Iida, Midoriya, and Todoroki, Yukari Kido finally returns home, believing the threat against her has been neutralized. As she shares a fluster-inducing moment with Iida, she feels a deep sense of gratitude and safety—until a figure from her past, hidden in the shadows, reveals a far more sinister plot at play. Yukari's world unravels as she must confront her dual life and the secrets she has been hiding from the very heroes protecting her.
As the first light of dawn began to filter through the safe house windows, Yukari seemed to visibly relax. The night had passed without incident, thanks to Iida, Midoriya, and Todoroki’s watchful efforts. Yukari sat on the couch, her eyes following Iida as he paced the room, still on high alert despite the calmer atmosphere.
Tumblr media
“I think
I can finally breathe again,” Yukari said softly, a small, relieved smile gracing her face.
Iida turned toward her, offering a reassuring smile of his own. “That’s good. You’re safe now. We’ll keep working with the authorities to make sure nothing happens to you again.”
Yukari stood up, walking over to him, her expression shifting to one of deep gratitude. “Iida, I don’t think I could ever repay you for everything you’ve done. You’ve gone above and beyond to protect me.”
He waved a hand dismissively. “No need to repay me, Yukari. I’m just doing what I’ve trained for. It’s my responsibility as a future hero to ensure the safety of others.”
But Yukari didn’t seem convinced. She took a step closer, her eyes soft as she looked up at him. “I know, but it means a lot to me. You’ve really made me feel safe. I don’t think I can thank you enough.”
Before Iida could respond, Yukari leaned in and pressed a soft kiss against his cheek.
Time seemed to freeze for a moment.
Iida’s eyes widened, his entire face turning a bright shade of red. His mind blanked, and all of his composed, disciplined mannerisms seemed to vanish instantly. He felt his heart skip several beats as his brain tried to process what had just happened.
“Th-th-thank you, Yukari! B-but really, there’s no n-n-need to—” His words came out in a flustered jumble, and he instinctively pushed up his glasses, despite them already being perfectly in place. His usually straight posture became even more rigid as he struggled to regain his composure.
Yukari giggled softly at his reaction, clearly amused by how flustered he had become. “You really are something else, Iida,” she said with a warm smile, stepping back to give him space. “I’m lucky to have met someone like you.”
Iida stood there, still trying to steady himself, his blush deepening as he awkwardly cleared his throat. “I-it’s nothing. I-I’m just
 happy to help.”
Even as he tried to downplay the moment, the redness in his cheeks didn’t fade. His usually calm, focused demeanor was completely thrown off, and he wasn’t sure how to handle the sudden attention.
Yukari couldn’t help but laugh a little more, her eyes sparkling. “You’re adorable when you’re flustered.”
“I-I
uh—” Iida stammered, still caught off guard.
Midoriya poked his head into the room, sensing a shift in the atmosphere. “Iida, everything okay?”
Iida jumped slightly at the interruption, relieved for the distraction. “Y-yes, everything’s fine! I’ll, um, check the perimeter again!”
As he hurriedly exited the room, Yukari’s laughter followed him, her expression softening as she watched him leave. The kiss on the cheek had clearly done more than just fluster him—it had left a lasting impression.
Outside the door, Iida took a deep breath, pressing a hand to his cheek, where the warmth of the kiss still lingered. His thoughts were a chaotic jumble, but one thing was clear: Yukari’s gratitude meant a lot more to him than he had anticipated.
As Iida stepped outside, the cool morning air did little to cool the warmth still burning in his cheeks. His heart was racing, and no amount of deep breathing could bring him back to his usual calm state. He had faced dangerous villains, intense training sessions, and life-or-death situations, but none of that compared to the whirlwind of emotions Yukari’s kiss had stirred in him.
He tried to focus on the task at hand, patrolling the perimeter to ensure everything remained secure. But every time his thoughts wandered, they went straight back to Yukari—her smile, her laugh, and the feeling of her lips against his cheek.
“What is wrong with me?” Iida muttered under his breath, shaking his head as if that would help clear his mind. He wasn’t supposed to be this distracted. He was supposed to be a hero, a protector, focused on keeping Yukari safe, not... this.
Suddenly, Midoriya appeared by his side, his expression curious. “Iida, you seem a little... off. Are you sure everything’s okay?”
“I—well, yes, of course! I’m perfectly fine, Midoriya,” Iida said, a little too quickly, his voice betraying his flustered state. “Just... a lot to think about, that’s all.”
Midoriya raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced but too polite to push. “Well, if you need to talk about anything, I’m here. We’ve all been through a lot lately, and it’s important to stay grounded.”
“Y-yes, you’re right,” Iida replied, mentally scolding himself for getting so worked up. “Thank you, Midoriya. I’ll be fine. I just need to focus.”
Midoriya gave him a supportive smile before walking back to his own post. Iida, now left alone again, tried to pull himself together. He wasn’t sure how he’d face Yukari again without feeling embarrassed.
Back in the safe house, Yukari sat quietly, her mind replaying the events of the past few days. It was a lot to take in—being attacked, protected, and now finding herself drawn to Iida in ways she hadn’t expected. She smiled faintly, remembering how he had blushed so fiercely when she kissed his cheek.
She hadn’t meant to fluster him so much, but it was hard not to find it endearing. His sense of duty, his unwavering desire to help—it all made her feel safe in a way she hadn’t experienced in a long time.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the door opened, and Todoroki stepped in. He nodded at her briefly, his usual stoic expression in place, before sitting down across from her.
“Everything’s still clear outside,” he said in his calm, even tone. “Midoriya and Iida are on patrol.”
“Good,” Yukari replied, her voice quiet. She hesitated for a moment before speaking again. “Iida... he’s something else, isn’t he?”
Todoroki glanced at her, his expression unreadable. “He takes his responsibilities seriously.”
Yukari smiled, though there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. “Yeah, he does. I guess that’s why I trust him so much.”
Todoroki didn’t say anything more, but his gaze lingered on her for a moment, as if he was contemplating something. After a brief silence, he stood up. “I’ll be outside if you need anything.
“Thanks,” Yukari said softly, watching him leave.
— — —
Later that evening, when the group gathered again in the safe house, Iida found himself sitting across from Yukari, still feeling the lingering effects of his earlier flustered state. She caught his eye and smiled warmly, making his heart race all over again.
“Thank you again, Iida,” she said, her voice soft but sincere. “I don’t think I can ever say that enough.”
“I-I’m just doing what any hero-in-training would do,” Iida replied, his voice a little too formal as he tried to keep his emotions in check. “It’s my duty to ensure your safety.”
Yukari chuckled lightly. “You’ve said that before. But still... I’m grateful. You’ve made all of this a little easier.”
Iida nodded, though the blush in his cheeks returned as her words hit him harder than he expected. “I... I’m glad I could help.”
For a moment, there was a comfortable silence between them, the kind that spoke of understanding and gratitude beyond words.
But as the night stretched on, Iida couldn’t shake the feeling that things were far from over. There was still danger lurking in the shadows, and despite the brief moments of peace, he knew they had to stay vigilant.
And yet, even amidst the uncertainty, Iida found himself glancing at Yukari every now and then, feeling something stir inside him—a mix of protectiveness and something more.
He didn’t know where it would lead, but for now, he would focus on what mattered most: keeping her safe.
And maybe, just maybe, he’d figure out the rest later.
— — —
After days of being on edge and moving from one safe house to another, Yukari was finally able to return to her own home. The authorities had assured her and Iida that the threat had been neutralized, and the police were continuing their investigation into the group that had been after her quirk. For now, it seemed like the worst of the danger had passed.
Yukari stood in front of her apartment building, her heart beating a little faster than she’d like to admit. It had been a whirlwind of emotions—fear, uncertainty, and a strange sense of relief—all mixed together over the past week. And throughout it all, Iida had been by her side, protecting her with an unwavering sense of duty. Now that she was back home, it almost felt... surreal.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Iida asked, standing beside her, his eyes still filled with concern.
Yukari smiled warmly at him. "I’ll be fine. I promise. You’ve done more than enough to keep me safe, Iida." She paused, looking up at her apartment building, then back at him. "It feels good to be home. Thanks to you."
Iida, ever the picture of discipline, gave a small nod, though a hint of a blush colored his cheeks. “I’m glad to hear that, Yukari. But if you ever feel unsafe again, don’t hesitate to contact me or the police. We’ll be here in an instant.”
Yukari chuckled softly. “I’ll keep that in mind, hero.”
For a brief moment, they stood there, the night air cool and still around them. The streetlights cast a soft glow, and Yukari felt a strange calm wash over her. It was the first time in a long while that she hadn’t felt the need to look over her shoulder.
“Iida, really,” she began, her voice a little quieter. “Thank you. For everything.”
Iida smiled, his usual seriousness giving way to a softer expression. “It was my honor to protect you. I’m just happy you’re safe.”
A beat passed before Yukari stepped closer, standing on her toes as she gave him another kiss on the cheek, just like the first time. "I think I owe you more than just thanks."
Iida’s blush deepened, and his mind raced. “Y-Yukari... you really don’t—"
She shook her head, cutting him off gently. "I wanted to, Iida. You’ve been there for me when I needed it most. I won’t forget that."
He opened his mouth to say something, but the words never came. Instead, he simply nodded, his heart pounding as he fought to maintain his composure. Yukari’s eyes held his for a moment longer before she finally stepped back, turning toward the entrance to her building.
“I guess this is goodnight then,” Yukari said with a soft smile, her voice almost teasing. “Unless you plan on following me up to make sure my place is secure?”
Iida, still flustered, cleared his throat and stood a little straighter. “N-no, of course not! You’ll be perfectly fine, I’m sure.”
Yukari laughed softly at his reaction, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “I’m sure I will be, too. Goodnight, Iida.”
“Goodnight, Yukari,” he replied, his voice a bit steadier this time.
With one last smile, she turned and walked inside, leaving Iida standing alone in the night. He stood there for a few moments, replaying everything in his mind—the danger, the moments they shared, and now, this strange, unexpected connection.
As he finally turned to leave, walking back toward the school, Iida couldn’t help but feel like something had shifted. Yukari had come into his life unexpectedly, and now, even though the danger was gone, she still lingered in his thoughts.
He wasn’t sure what would come next, but he knew one thing for certain—he would always be there if she needed him. Even if it wasn’t as a hero protecting her from danger... even if it was something more.
As Yukari closed the door behind her, the familiar warmth of her apartment greeted her. But something was off—too quiet, too still. Her heart skipped a beat as she noticed a figure standing in the shadows by the window. Her posture stiffened.
“Yukari,” a deep voice said calmly, stepping into the dim light. It was not the friendly owner of the cafĂ© she worked at, but her real boss—the man orchestrating everything from behind the scenes. His tall, sharp figure cast a long shadow across the room, and his cold, calculating eyes focused directly on her.
“You’re late,” he said, his voice laced with annoyance.
“I was just with Iida,” Yukari replied curtly, setting down her bag on the kitchen counter. She kept her expression neutral, despite the irritation bubbling underneath. She had been looking forward to a moment of peace after everything that had happened today, but clearly, her boss had other plans.
He crossed his arms, watching her every move. “And? How is our little hero doing? Does he suspect anything?”
Yukari rolled her eyes, shrugging off her jacket as she leaned against the counter. “No, he doesn’t suspect a thing. Iida’s as straight-laced as they come. He has no idea that all of this has been set up.”
The man’s lips curved into a faint smile, though it held no warmth. “Good. Everything needs to be perfect. We’ve already gone through too much trouble to pull this off.”
“Yeah, I’m aware,” Yukari muttered, her tone irritated. She turned away from him, staring out the window to avoid his gaze. “I’ve been playing my part, haven’t I? Everything’s moving according to plan.”
Her boss took a few steps closer, his presence unnerving in the small space. “I just need to make sure your head is still in the game. You’ve been spending a lot of time with that hero-in-training. Don’t forget why you’re doing this, Yukari.”
Yukari’s jaw clenched, her hands gripping the edge of the counter. “I haven’t forgotten,” she replied through gritted teeth. “I know exactly what’s at stake.”
“Good,” the man said, his voice lowering dangerously. “Because what we’re planning, it can’t tolerate mistakes. You’re the only reason this is working—because you got close enough to Iida. If he starts suspecting anything, you’ll both be in danger.”
Yukari turned to face him, her eyes narrowing. “I’m not an idiot. Iida trusts me. He thinks I’m just some innocent girl with a quirk people are after. He even took me to the police station to keep me safe.” She smirked, though it didn’t reach her eyes. “And we both know how that turned out.”
Her boss chuckled darkly. “Yes. The explosion certainly sent a message.”
Yukari shook her head, frustration bubbling up inside her. She hated being a pawn in this, but she was in too deep. There was no way out now. “Iida’s focused on protecting me. He won’t see what’s coming until it’s too late.”
“Let’s hope you’re right,” the man said, his voice still cold. “Because if you slip up, you won’t just be facing me. You’ll have a lot worse coming for you.”
Yukari glared at him, her lips pressed into a thin line. “I told you, I’ve got this under control.”
Her boss studied her for a long moment before finally nodding. “Good. Just remember your place, Yukari. I’ll be checking in again soon.”
With that, he turned and left, slipping out of her apartment as silently as he had entered.
As the door closed behind him, Yukari exhaled deeply, her shoulders slumping. She ran a hand through her hair, trying to shake off the tension that clung to her. Everything was spiraling, and even though she told herself she had it all under control, there was a part of her—small, but growing—that wasn’t so sure anymore.
She glanced at the window, her thoughts drifting to Iida. He had been so kind, so genuine. Always there, ready to protect her without a second thought. She had been manipulating him from the start, but now... something about it didn’t sit right with her anymore.
But she couldn’t afford to think like that. Not now. Not with so much at stake.
With a sigh, she pushed those thoughts aside and focused on what mattered: staying one step ahead and keeping up the act. She had to finish what she started.
For her sake—and for his.

*Holds up a pocket watch and starts swinging it* YOU WILL LOOK AT AND LISTEN TO MY NEXT GEN BNHA AU THAT I MADE IN 7TH GRADE
Tumblr media
(NOTE: I am working on adding image descriptions to the drawings here!! So far two of them have them but the rest don’t! Stay tuned!)
Alright with that out of the way HERE THERE BE SPOILERS!! As the name implies I wrote this AU in 7th grade so it does not track AT ALL with the current canon. My solution? Fuck canon.
Basically in this AU there is a timeline split. AFO died in Kamino, which the LOV did not anticipate at all and thus lead to their downfall. Then Overhaul happened as it happened in canon, and after that 1A had a normal school career. Shigaraki is one of the only LOV members who wasn’t captured and is still at large, but the rest of the LOV had therapy in jail and eventually were released to normal lives.
Anyway fast forward 22 years, technology has advanced so far that pregnancy is no longer a requirement to have bio kids but some people enjoy the connection so they prefer to get pregnant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I loved designing these little shits back in 7th Grade and their story has unfortunately become a character trait for me. Anyway here are TodoIiDeku.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the very first drafts, it was just Tododeku and for some reason I made them shitty parents???

oc x Tenya Iida! Fyi I am happily okay with doing x readers! I just hope someone request something

anywho, basically Iida coming home from work a bit earlier than he usually does and she is
having me time. He doesn’t know right away. Hope you enjoy!!!
cw: nsfw
“Oh! Tenya! I didn’t expect you to be home so
ah
early
” she blurted, ducking under the covers. It was a night like any other, but she was feeling rather
hot and bothered. Iida has been getting home later and later, and their sex life has been diminishing. It doesn’t normally bother her as it happens every once and a while—where one or the other is swamped with enough work to not be able to focus on their own sexual gratification or their partner. For Zelda, this one has been a particularly long rut. And she doesn’t like to ask, so she compromises by using a toy she uses for situations like these. Zelda is the type to prolong her sessions as much as she can, edging herself, limiting her time, turning down the vibrations then turning it to the highest setting. She had been going for a while, her little helper on her pearl at a low setting, keeping her legs shut as she rode out to another orgasm. She bit her lip as her hips rolled against the toy. She watched as her husband entered the room, closing her legs shut, but not having enough time to take out the toy. It was rather embarrassing to be caught doing something like this, but he didn’t notice
yet.
“Yes, I thought about you, and I felt like I haven’t seen you in a while. I’m sorry work has been hectic
” he mumbles, as he begins to undress from his work clothes. All she could do was nod her head as the toy automatically turned up by itself, allowing a faint buzzing sound to be made. She jolted a bit, biting her tongue to contain her voice. She sat up as she watched him, and he continued to talk. But she didn’t really listen as she was too focused on the immense pleasure she was feeling.
“How about you?”
“Wh-what?”
He laughed, “how was your day, is something wrong you seem a little off?”
“N-no of course not!” She laughed off, “my day was ah fine
” she held a hand against her mouth. This now prompted Iida to be a bit concerned. Putting a hand to her forehead,
“Are you sure you’re feeling alright, Zelda?.” He said with worry. She shook her head.
“I’m fine!” She blurted, she let out an exhale as the vibration went back to low. She was amazed with herself how she is taking this like a champ. He raised an eyebrow,
“I’ll take your word for it
” he sighed, now removing his button down, tossing it into the hamper. His hand moved to his belt. She watched over her book that she had in hand. Another thing she liked to do while
doing the do was to read or be on her phone. Any multitasking really, it felt a reward and helped her focus on anything BUT her pleasure, to prolong the orgasm. The way Iida kept talking, and his hand lingering on his belt, taking it off painfully slow. It was driving her nuts. All she could do was watch, and bite her lip in secrecy. She was a little annoyed at the fact that he still hasn’t figured it out and essentially unknowingly teasing her. She shut her eyes and closed her legs tightly as the vibration turned up again. Letting out shaky exhales, as she tried not to squirm under the sheets.
He noticed. The way she was hiding behind the book, or that she didn’t greet him how she usually did. The insistent buzzing. Her contained moans. Her eyes tracing his every move. He noticed. Granted it did take him a while, but it excited him to know that she would do something like this, and wondered if she found it exciting to be caught in something so taboo. “I’ve been talking a lot, and you haven’t said a word” he stated.
“Well, I just like listening
” she stammered. He hummed.
“Or is it that you are bad at multitasking?” he said rather bluntly.
“Wh-what are you talking about!” She said with a red face. He made a face. One that she found rather annoying because it is a face he makes when he tries to prove a point. A stupid little grin is what she calls it.
He stood next to her bedside, taking the book from her hand, then slowly pulling the sheet off. All she could do was watch. He maintained eye contact with her, she looked up at him. A tinge of need, relief, but mostly desire. He narrowed his eyes down to her tightly shut legs, and the now damp spot on the bed. It wasn’t supposed to go on for this long, she felt embarrassed being caught in such a stateïżœïżœbut the way he looked at her, the way he studied her form. She knew it excited him. He looked back up at her, his hand tracing her leg up to her thigh. Only to grip onto to spread her legs apart. She let out a wince as his hand moved to her inner thigh. His eyes moving down yet again to view the sight in front of him. His poor wife, having to endure such torture. “I wonder
” his voice low, filled with much craving, an appetite for her. It was intoxicating. Invigorating.
“How much longer can you last?”

A Serenade of Shadows
Synopsis: After a quiet evening at his favorite cafĂ©, Tenya Iida finds himself saving the talented singer, Yukari Kido, from a robbery. What starts as a simple act of heroism soon unravels into something more sinister as Yukari reveals hidden motives. While Iida believes he’s helping a stranger in need, he unknowingly steps into a dangerous game, where every move is part of a larger plan. What lies beneath Yukari's serene persona, and what is the true meaning of "Phase 1"?
Tumblr media
The evening sun dipped low over Musutafu, casting a warm, golden glow across the city. The familiar hustle and bustle of the cafĂ© echoed with soft chatter and the clinking of cups as Tenya Iida sat with his friends at their usual corner table. Today, he had brought Midoriya, Todoroki, and Ochako to his favorite café—a quiet place where he often found peace between the pressures of school and family.
"Wow, I can see why you like this place, Iida!" Uraraka smiled, sipping her tea. "It’s so cozy!"
Iida adjusted his glasses and nodded. "Yes, it’s always been a good place to unwind. I come here often before visiting my family."
Across from him, Midoriya was engrossed in the café’s serene atmosphere. "It’s peaceful
even though we’ve had so many battles, it’s nice to take a breather."
Todoroki, as stoic as ever, simply glanced toward the small stage where a singer had just finished performing. The sound of applause filled the café, and the group joined in. The singer, Yukari Kido, flashed a small smile as she stepped down from the platform. Her delicate voice had carried through the air like a soft breeze, captivating those who listened. Iida had noticed her before, her presence a constant in his visits, but they had never exchanged more than a polite greeting.
"I suppose I should be heading to my family’s home now," Iida said after checking his watch. "I need to check on my parents and my brother."
Midoriya smiled at him. "I’m sure they’ll be happy to see you."
The group finished their drinks and stood up, making their way to the exit. They exchanged goodbyes, and while three of them headed back to U.A., Iida turned toward his family’s home.
The sun had dipped below the horizon now, and shadows stretched across the streets as Iida walked alone. He passed by an alley, and a sudden sound caught his attention—muffled voices, sharp and tense. He paused, turning his head toward the dark alleyway, where he saw a figure struggling with two men. Without hesitation, Iida activated his quirk, Engine, and raced toward the commotion.
"Stop right there!" he shouted, his authoritative voice echoing off the narrow walls. The robbers turned in surprise, but they weren’t fast enough. Iida’s speed allowed him to disarm them in a matter of seconds, sending them scrambling to escape.
The woman they had been attacking stumbled back, breathing heavily. It was Yukari Kido.
"Are you alright?" Iida asked, his concern evident as he stepped closer.
Yukari nodded, brushing herself off. "Y-Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks to you. I... I don't know what would’ve happened if you hadn’t come."
"There’s no need to thank me," Iida responded, his posture formal. "It’s my duty to help others. Are you hurt?"
"No, just a little shaken up." Yukari took a deep breath, steadying herself. "I really don’t know how to repay you."
Iida smiled politely. "There’s no need to repay me. I’m just glad I could assist. But it is getting late
I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t ensure you made it home safely. May I walk you?"
Yukari blinked, slightly taken aback by his offer, but she nodded. "That would actually make me feel a lot better."
As they walked side by side through the quiet streets, they introduced themselves formally. Yukari spoke about her job at the café, her passion for singing, and how she had been working there for some time. Iida, in turn, shared a bit about his schooling at U.A., his training to be a hero, and his devotion to his family.
"I’ve seen you at the cafĂ© before," Yukari mentioned after a pause. "You always seem to be in such a hurry."
Iida chuckled lightly. "I do tend to keep a busy schedule."
By the time they reached Yukari’s apartment building, the streets were mostly empty, the occasional flicker of a streetlamp illuminating the darkened sidewalk.
"Thank you again, Iida," Yukari said as she stopped at her door. "Are you absolutely sure there’s no way I can repay you?"
Iida shook his head, his smile warm but firm. "I’m happy to help. After all, I’m a hero in training. It’s what we’re meant to do."
Yukari gave a soft laugh and nodded. "Well, thank you again. Have a good night, Iida."
"Goodnight, Yukari Kido." Iida gave a polite bow before turning to leave.
Yukari watched him go until he was out of sight, then slipped inside her apartment. Once she was alone, she pulled out her phone and dialed a number. Her voice was calm, almost chillingly so.
"Phase 1, complete," she whispered, her eyes narrowing as a small, calculated smile spread across her lips.
