Surge Appreciation Week Day 6: Hero

Whenever Surge is tempted to go back to the villain lifestyle, her biggest fan is there to remind her how special it is to be a hero!

I still have a bigger post in the works but in case I don't get to this point anytime soon

I just wanted to say that ever since I first read Imposter Syndrome and the Overpowered arc of IDW Sonic I've felt in my bones that Surge and Kit's projected end point is not to "accept Sonic" and "become real heroes"

To me their story has always been about how the current system of good/heroes vs evil/villains has hurt them, how they don't fit into it and yet are being pulled in both directions by villains and heroes who want them to choose a side (theirs in specific), and how they'll find their place, home, and future living freely alongside each other

I cannot envision Surge happy working for hero attention and praise long term, a position that comes with strings and will inevitably restrict her

Surge has always wanted to do her own thing, Kit has known since Overpowered that being with her is the purpose he chooses.

And I don't believe we've really hit Surge's defining moment yet (where she finally finds her own purpose and is no longer jumping between potential ones). I think right now in idw Sonic we're still in a transitional period of learning and growing and experiencing, and that moment of realization is yet to come.

But perhaps that's just me.

Amy and Knuckles in my Superhero AU

Miss Amy Rose on the surface is seen as a very typical girly girl, she likes shopping, cooking and fashion and is usually found socialising with friends or partaking in her hobbies at home. But this is not all she appears to be, she's a bold, proactive and expressive girl, but due to a mix of pressure from social circles and and being raised to in a town where she was expected to act a certain way, she's kept this side more on the down-low... although it doesn't help that people overlook her while she's 'Amy Rose'. But she showed her more spunky, tough side under a tomboyish alter ego, Posey Pockets, when she discovered her abilities, involving an extreme amount of strength for someone of her size and as well as pull things seemingly out of nowhere which she soon discovered was her being able to store things in a small pocket dimension she dubbed 'Hammerspace', where she keeps mutiples of her iconic Piko Piko Hammer. She's a force to be reckoned with and doesn't hold back when its' time to fight. Even as a super she's been overlooked by many a villain, but she was all too willing to prove them wrong.

Knuckles, as he was nicknamed by his newfound friends, is a soul from a long distant time. He lived among a mystic island hidden in the sky, Angel Island. He lived among his tribe that worshipped and protected the mystical Master Emerald. He was dubbed one of the Guardians of the Master Emerald due to being blessed with powerful abilities, not only an unnatural amount of strength and endurance but the ability to bend the element of earth at his will. Whether he doesn't remember what happened to him, or has simply kept details of his backstory to himself, it's unknown. But he was summoned trapped inside the emerald, kept in a stasis within for thousands of years. The mysterious floating island was known within the world but due to massive size of it as well as the multitudes of traps and ruins, it remains massively unexplored and history behind the ancient ruins of the echidna clan remains unknown. But eventually the Master Emerald was discovered, and due to it's massive size and apparent connection to the island and hints of it being powerful. It was taken to be studied. The notorious thief, Impress, heard about the giant emerald and set to attempt to steal it. During her attempts to steal it, she inadvertedly freed the trapped Guardian that was sealed inside. Upon awakening, Knuckles quickly became confused and panicked. He was in an unfamiliar place, with strange sounds, smells, sights and so much more. And seeing his clans sacred emerald so far from home, and feeling from this spot his island was suffering without it. He flew into a panicked rage. His rampage made him appear as an attacker and he quickly got attacked by officers and other officals. The barrage of bullets, screaming and all these 'new' things just worsened his panic and rage. Some of the heroes, such as Sonic, Twin Turbine and Posey Pockets came to the battle to confront this attacker... but would discover the truth, that this was just a young man that had suddenly come into a time that was scary and new, and he and an important item to him were far from home... the emerald was eventually returned and Angel Island was restored. To the public, who dubbed this echidna superbeing 'Groundbreaker', the echidna is hidden on the island, occasionally coming down to help and then returning to his isolated home. But really he has been helped among his newfound friends as they try to show him the modern world, helping him keep his true echidna identity secret, especially as he is unfortunately unaware echidnas extinct; the poor guy has only been told that 'not many have been seen'... As his 'civillian' self, Kalumn Rose, he's seen as just an awkward, quiet and shy tenrec guy and Amy's cousin (it was her idea). He does work as a park ranger in nature preserves and volunteers in animal shelters, were he adopted his service animal to help him adapt to this stressful new world.

Imposter Swap AU:

Impostor Swap is an AU that focuses on the idea of multiple sonic characters swapping places/roles, most notably Sonic the Hedgehog and Surge the Tenrec. Tails and Kitsunami swap places too, as well as Shadow and Amy. We plan to come up with more character swaps in the future too! As for story, it depends on the continuity, since this isn’t just a Sonic IDW swap, it’s the whole series— though we mostly focus on IDW’s story with our art. The only major changes that we’ve made within that story so far are the main four (Sonic, Surge, Tails and Kit)’s backstories, but there might be more major changes the more we work on the AU!

Mechanical Error:

After Sonic died in an explosion, Tails became a recluse, staying in his house away from Sonic's friends. However one day he unintentionally reawakens an old project of his and Sonic's, leading him to believe the explosion that killed his brother wasn't such an accident after all. AKA: A Big Hero 6 au where Tails is Hiro and Metal is Baymax.

Round 6, Final

Surge the Tenrec (upper) was brainwashed into wanting to kill Sonic and take his place as a "hero." She was physically modified with cybernetics and Sonic's biodata. After discovering what had been done to her, she began to hate the world as a whole, and Sonic in particular, for allowing her to be created. Her augments make her very fast and grant her electrical powers. She also has a fennec fox sidekick

The Sonic ice cream bar (lower) is a frozen dessert produced by Blue Bunny. They are very silly and known for often having the eyes misplaced. Their entry also mentioned that "you can legally eat them, which is probably not a thing you can do with any other Sonic or faker"

Reversal Nova

(Here is what I have created so far in my Reverse AU)

A alternate universe where the roles are swapped, whether for the better or the worse...

Sonic: Dr. Boom, a hedgehog skilled in speed and mechanics. He was actually a kid, Robotnik took under his wing. He had a natural talent for inventing and machinery, but Dr. Boom saw potential in power such as the chaos emeralds to advance the machines, Robotnik didn't approve of this answer terminated all Dr.Boom's work. Feeling betrayed, the Hedgehog ran away and turned against the world that deemed him unworthy to advance it to a era of peace and freedom.

Shadow: Nocturnal Eye, partner of Dr. Boom and Leader of the alien race: Black Arms, on the planet. He seems relatively harmless to the unsuspecting eye, but he is a master of illusion and chaos energy.

Tails: Dr. Cosmos, a fellow technician and mechanical genius who sides with Dr. Boom. His machinery is known to be quite efficient and reliable, a master of words and creating machines that act as mimics around other mobians. Truly a terrifying feat for someone of his age.

Amy: Vermillion, Teller of the Future and Leader of the "Rosebuds" a group of warriors who can see into the future and protect the present to prevent disasters from occurring.

Eggman: Ivo Robotnik, Hero of Station City and the world as a whole, uses his mechanical prowess and power of lightning to defend the innocent from the hands of Dr. Boom and other villains that follow suit. Has a short patience and can be easy to annoy with petty insults tho.

Rouge: Carmine, guardian of the Master Emerald, and last of the Bat Treasure Hunters, a tribe of bats that would hunt treasure and steal from the rich to give to the poor. Has to deal with an annoying an Echidna that is also a treasure hunter with a strange connection to the emerald and tries to take it for himself.

Knuckles: Titian, an independent echidna treasure hunter, skilled in many forms of combat and is quite a people person, he has fierce personality which causes him to bump heads alot with Carmine, all he wants is understand why he feels so drawn to the Master Emerald, sure he always takes the Chaos Emeralds but that isn't the case this time, if only he could get Carmine to believe that.

Silver: Ivory, a prince from an alternate dimension that tends to interlap with Robotnik's, when it does, he tends to stick around and offer aid where he can with the help of his powers of ice.

Blaze: Lustre, a time traveler from the distant future that is both in distress and at peace given its destroyed state, has the power of Umbrakinesis and Aerokinesis, allowing her to use wind and darkness together to create bendable space matter for combat

Metal Ivo: A robot version of Robotnik created by Dr. Boom, a silent robot but he very much as attitude towards his enemies

Infinite: Zero the Jackal, member of the Rosebuds. He is able to harness the power of the purple chaos emerald and create illusions as a distraction while he disarms his opponents. Joined the squad because he is in search of his missing partner, Gadget the Wolf, who disappeared several years ago

Surge: Beryl the Tenrec, another member of the Rosebuds and childhood friend of Vermillion, knows why she created the Rosebuds and sticks by her through it all. Is raising a younger brother she adopted in all this chaos, and can harness the powers of lightning

Scourge: Jules Terios Hedgehog, Dr. Boom's twin brother, he fights on the side of the heroes and is the main reason Dr. Boom truly hasn't killed anyone yet and why no one tries to kill Dr. Boom. Jules hopes one day he'll get his twin back

Eclipse: Arcane "The Ultimate Hope" , the Nocturnal Eye's aka Spectre's younger brother. Created by Nocturnal Eye's hands, Arcane is symbolized as a beacon of hope, not only for Spectre and the Black Arms on the planet, but also for Dr. Boom. He is torn as he wishes to live life on the planet but is bound by his duty to his older brother.

Maria: Maria R. Lunae, a woman of unknown origins. No one knows who she is or where she came from, all they know is her research revolves around the Black Arms, protecting the leader that resides on the planet and a young alien from the Black Arms that tries to blend in with society (Eclipse)

Sonic World project plan: Sonic the Hedgehog (Vol. 2)

This series is not an assured project. It is a concept that can still be changed or scrapped.

Synopsis

Doctor Starline unveils his master plan. Surge and Kitsunami arrive and are determined to replace Sonic and his friends. Not everything goes as planned and the two are too villainous. Team Sonic hopes to calm them down or else they will be "recalled" by Starline.

Characters

Sonic the Hedgehog - The greatest hero of his world. He is known for being the fastest living thing on the planet.

Miles "Tails" Prower - One of the smartest people on his planet. He is best friends with Sonic and supplies Team Sonic with their tech. His two tails allow him to fly.

Knuckles the Echidna - The guardian of the Master Emerald until it was destroyed by Metal Sonic. He is on a quest to restore it, but will help his friends when needed.

Amy Rose - Leader of the Restoration and Sonic's biggest fan. She is known to have devastating attacks with her mallet.

Surge the Tenrec - One of Starline's test subjects. Experimentation with the energy of a Master Emerald shard has given her superspeed and electrokinetic powers. She is driven to beat Sonic.

Kitsunami the Fennec - Another test subject of Starline who acts as support to Surge. He hates Tails so much. His power is to control the shape of water. Howler built him a backpack that compresses a large amount of water so that the fennec has a lot at his disposal.

Doctor Starline - A scientific genius who has taken over the Eggman Empire following Eggman's disappearance. He used a shard of the Master Emerald to give Surge and Kitsunami their powers. His goal is to create a world that does not need heroes and he wants be seen as the greatest mind on the planet.

Howler the Wolf - Assistant and mechanic working for Doctor Starline. He serves as the voice of reason for the doctor and is not afraid to tell him off for his foolish behavior. During this volume, he feels like his services are needed less than ever.

Other Information

Starline's scheme is inspired by Syndrome's plan from the movie "The Incredibles."

"Whoa — Pinkie!" The tenrec decided a while ago that it wasn't worth hating the world that allowed her suffering; they're too ignorant and useless for the hate to be worth it. And she hasn't forgotten that it felt NICE, to be a hero, however briefly. of course it had, that's what she was built for. She sees the hedgehog, battered and surrounded by busted Eggman tech, while she's scanning the sky on her extreme gear, and for a moment there's no hate in her head to slow her down. She makes it to the other's side. She's hurt, bad. It's weird to remember that other people can hurt bad. "Hey, hey, wake up. You still breathin'?"

Welcome to Shadow Lycan’s Sonic and His Mirrors Talk.

I would say with confidence that most fans of the blue blur know Sonic has many rivals. It that be Jet, Surge, Shadow, Knuckles and the list goes on.

These rivals have been used by writers to contrast or mirror Sonic.

I would like to illustrate how some Sonic rivals are indeed mirrors of the blue blur and in some cases, what a world without him means for them.

Knuckles the Echidna -

Knuckles was designed to be Sonic’s contrasting mirror from his background, appearance and personality.

Sonic is blue whereas the echidna is red. One is the fastest thing alive, the blue blur if you will while the other is tougher than leather.

Gods, one’s whole purpose is to stay on a island and guard a emerald while the other has no purpose. One defines his purpose while the other is burdened by it.

Think about it, a world without Sonic for Knuckles is a lonely one. Without Sonic, Knuckles’ story is a tragedy.

A echidna burdened with guarding the Master Emerald for so long he doesn’t remember why he does it. The day he realises why, the day he sees a glimpse of the outside world never comes. He learns everything he can to protect his home only to never need to use that knowledge.

Sonic Prime shows what happens to Tails in a world without Sonic. That show in no way showed Knuckles’ fate in that kind of world and I will stand by that belief.

Shadow The Hedgehog -

I don’t think Game Shadow is a mirror to Sonic. Yes, he is all edgy and has the skillset.

And yes, I know that’s the whole point of Shadow. He’s a dark mirror of the blue blur. Whenever I think why he is a mirror. It comes down to he’s a dark version of Sonic that could never exist as a Sonic.

Not to say Knuckles could be a Sonic. The thing is with Shadow that even when I consider SA2, it feels wrong to call him that.

Shadow feels like even comparing him to Sonic, calling him a mirror to him is a insult.

He is one of Sonic’s rivals. I am never going to claim he isn’t.

The best way I can offer is that Shadow isn’t a dark mirror of Sonic. Gods, he must be some kind of mirror. I don’t imagine their relationship dynamic would be so appealing if he wasn’t a mirror of some kind.

Surge The Tenrec -

Surge is a distorted mirror of Sonic. The fact she still is a mirror feels wrong, as if there’s a glitch in this mirror system.

Gods, she’s such a distorted mirror that her design was based off a glitch in one of the Classic Sonic games.

I could go into how Surge and Kit’s relationship is just a distorted version of the brotherly bond Sonic and Tails share. I would much rather tell you what made me conclude she was a distorted mirror and not some other kind of mirror.

Surge is a distorted mirror because she distorts who Sonic is. Sure, she’s more like Sonic than Metal but that isn’t much of an achievement.

Surge at every turn mocks others. Something everyone can agree is very unSonic like.

Sonic at his core uplifts others and Surge simply doesn’t do that.

You can see Sonic in Surge. Her impatience, her love of fighting, but the thing that distorts her is one simple thing.

She was never meant to be a true hero. She was meant to be a ploy. That desire to help others is there but even that seems corrupted. She helps people for the praise, not for any other reason.

Metal Sonic -

I will stand by this, Metal Sonic is a twisted mirror. Everything that makes Sonic appealing is twisted into something threatening through his design.

Not even counting for that, what’s more twisted than using the image of someone who fights for freedom as inspiration for your greatest creation, your head enforcer.

Well then, Surge. You're dealing with an undead Imperial Empress, who is brainwashing the citizens into an army of slaves, and is most likely responsible for the world starting to freeze over, either deliberately or as a side effect of whatever evil plan she has in store.

You're gonna kick her ass up and down the islands, right?

"Of course I am!" She thumped a fist into her palm with a confident smile. "Doesn't matter that I zapped the crap outta her and she just kept standing. Or that when she punched me it felt like I got hit by a semi. Or that I saw her fight off me'n'Fireworks at the same time. Or that I-"

"Er... Mate. You can stop," Marine said meekly. The tenrec looked over to find she and Gardon waring such defeated faces that they might as well have been already attending her funeral. Even Blaze looked sad and distant.

"Oh, c-c'mon, guys. All that crap sounds bad, but... Doesn't it always?" She waved her hands in front of her pleadingly. "I'm new at the whole hero junk, but isn't that what this kinda stuff is always about? Facing down impossible odds?!"

"Well... Yes, typically," Blaze said, rubbing one arm. "That never makes it less daunting. And this is... Something especially terrible, Surge. Agni is a mythical figure. She stood at the head of a hundred battlefield charges, and survived every one. She's a living legend."

"Well, y'know what? Every legend has to start somewhere." The tenrec slapped a hand on Blaze's shoulder, the proximity making the feline blush in a way that Surge (as ever) didn't notice. "And we're about to start a new one right friggin' here. This is our story, Fireworks. And I promise you, it's gonna end with us sending that tin-coated blacklight back to hell."

The storm clouds of doubt cleared, even if only for just a time. Blaze allowed herself a small chuckle: "No one could ever accuse you of lacking spirit, Surge the Tenrec."

I won't give out that much of him or the personality of him. Or his goal, Just yet. You just have to wait and see.

For the next few renders. Every hero I send out will be followed by a villain. Until there are no more Villains. Being Sonic and his never ending list of friends. The heroes will out number the Villains. So don't get used to seeing Villains that much :XD:

Reverse Sonic is a villain appearing in published by SEGA and has since endured as the Sonic the Hedgehog.

I was gonna try and push myself to make a fathers day theme'd render but my heart told me I wanted to make a Reverse-Sonic Render

I was inspired by how before I made the connection of Flash = Reverse Flash, Sonic = Reverse Sonic, nobody else had really made the concept of a "Reverse Sonic" which baffles me slightly~

I've also made up lore for him which I would like to explore in a story.. someday~ i'm just not very good at coming up with a medium for story telling yet...

I decided to make a face emblem of Reverse Sonic for "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games."

I took a look at the flag textures for Team Sonic and saw that Shadow and Silver's flags have three colors on their face emblems.

Comment on what color her flag should be if she was in the Olympics.

I finished this mini-project! I wanted to redraw and redesign all my Sonic OCs I had 18 years ago, just to see how they would look like with my current skills and it's was absolute blast!

My teen self would never believe they will grow that much, my inner child is happy now!

I don't remember the story for these characters, so I quickly made up new one to tie them all together, which you find under the cut, along with stand alone pictures.

Blade the Hedgehog (?).

An immortal weird-looking hedgehog who been around for 3000 years. They've seen and been through a lot, but despite anything, they keep a positive, yet grounded view of life. Blade has incredible charisma which lets them to get along almost with anyone, but they rarely open up. People often assume they're naive and too trusting, but in reality, Blade has very few things to worry about - their life is not one of them.

Blade is dedicated to record history and preserve their findings in the huge archive, hidden in Rusty Ruins. After all, time erodes everything, and if it can't take one's body - it will take their memory instead.

Abilities are unknown.

Tulip the Echidrel.

The long-living echidrels are small community of squirrel-echidna hybrids, carrying knowledge and customs of their ascendants since ancient times. They're natural explorers, charting places where many wouldn't dare to go. Tulip is no exception and that's the main reason why she quickly became friends with Blade.

Glint the Tenrec.

A lone sorceress living on the remote island in her mansion she inherited from her parents. She appears to be shy amd innocent, but make no mistake - she will not hesitate to fight using whatever means necessary.

Collecting varios magical artifacts, she wants to uncover the secret behind planet origins and it's dimensions, especially the places known as "Beyond". The simple curiosity drives Glint forward, sometime even dealing with shady people to obtain knowledge.

Umbra the ???

A mysterious entity from the "Beyond". Made of darkness, she can hide herself in shadows and between dimensions. Long ago Umra made a mistake and accidentally broke the biggest taboo of her people. As punishment, she was banished from Beyond for all eternity.

Entities like her cannot exist long in different dimensions, unless they bind themselves to someone native to it. Lucky for Umbra, she crossed her paths with Glint and made a pact - survival for helping the sorceress to gain knowledge she wants.

Fierce the Chimera.

An escaped experiment, who recently broke free and now roaming in Rusty Ruins. Always angry and never seem to be in a good mood, she already had few fights with local immortal hedgehog. Blade has no idea where Fierce came from and what's her deal, but they her and her pet snake Ping stay regardless.

Meanwhile, Fierce just wants to be left alone, haunted by images of her forgotten past and headsplitting migraines.

She's strong, sometimes can go berserk of pushed too much. Ping has a potent venom and will strike lighting fast if it's feels Fierce being in danger.

Dr. Prion.

A kangaroo how deem himself superior above the rest. The world is unjust place, plagues with lies, overlords, and "heroes" who believe what they do is best for everyone. It's up to him to fix it, diving deep into genetics and brain functions. Fascinated by long lifespan of echidrels, he seek to achieve the same result by making hybrids.

One time Glint supported his aspirations, funding his projects. But as time passed, the more she saw his terrifying egoistical side despite the fruitful reserch. She backed away, and to this day Prion dreams of revenge.

But first, he wants to fix the world, and soon everyone will become like him - rational.

Flow the Aquabird.

One of successful hybridisation experiments Dr. Prion even made. Strengths of both species turned Flow into a beautiful and dangerous weapon, who combine ballet dancing with hydrokinesis.

Not only she's powerful, but 100% loyal to Prion no matter what. His worldview is current and it's the only way to save the world and turn it into paradise. Of course, she wasn't like this when they first met, Prion wiped her memory entirely, erasing the person she once was.

Now she's eternally grateful to the doctor for saving her from the cruel world, and will anything in her power to archive his dreams. Trusts no one expect Prion and Mecha Raptor - her bodyguard.

If you hear Swan Lake instead of regular drowning theme - you know that Flow is nearby.

Mecha Raptor.

Dr. Prion, while being sure that his work on Flow won't come undone, still wants to put a failsafe. Someone to protect his perfect weapon from forming different opinion on the world. Through some shady and illegal shenanigans, he got his hands on a stolen schematic crated by an engineer genius Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. It took Prion some time to figure out, but eventually he created Mecha Raptor.

It has no personality and it's only priority is to ensure Flow's happiness and protection.

Just recently bought online for £6 (which given how more costly other collected volumes of this comic can be is a good bargain) and I thought it was fine. Not having read everything and only know about certain parts of the IDW Sonic series, it was decent at least compared from what I've read in the recent Sonic Riders 4 arc which just felt padded and filler to tedious effect.

The art by Thomas Rothlisberger, Aaron Hammerstrom, Mauro Fonseca alongside inkers and colourists Matt Froese, Gigi Dutreix and Valentina Pinto was easily the best about this miniseries which the new flowing of colours and effects throughout it. This miniseries of course introduced new rivals Surge The Tenrec and Kit The Fennec who are gaslighted and manipulated by Dr Starline to carry out his master plan to unsurp Eggman, Sonic, Tails and the rest to take over the world.

As a story as written by long time writer Ian Flynn, it's serviceable but I keep thinking they've could've been a much better way to introduce these new "heroes" and unpack everything that arises throughout but I can understand the limits of writing a four issue miniseries that has to tie with the main ongoing series. Surge and Kit at least to me look kind of cute but slightly creepy which I think is a balance that the Sonic franchise should play into much more but considering the direction their characters end up going, as stated introducing them as characters who Sonic and friends first meet before being slowly into their social circle before Starline sets his final plan in motion to deal with the heroes whilst having Eggman having to face them as well.

The fact that before the climax, both Surge and Kit openly postulate their whole reason for existing and purpose and only to get beaten subsequently and effectively be rendered as minor nuisances/potential good guys (?) is almost indicative of how the status quo works in this series and how despite what past horrors are afflicted upon the community of the animal public, nothing really changes and how inevitably Starline's plan to unsurp it was doomed to fail from the start. Nothing really changes. No evolution. No vision. No future. Surge and Kit of course hate the current status quo and so they must "burn it all to the ground" and be rendered as monsters until again they decide to become a part of it in the wake of their first few confrontations with Sonic and friends.

This was inspired by Shades365’s 'Sonic's Alpha' on Wattpad. You can find this story on Wattpad and all their other stories. I love this story and I thought of a version I really want to do. That story was the structure of this story and yes I have their permission.

In this story, you will meet many of my OCs but many of these characters are not mine, the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog own them. The person who will be taking Sonic’s role is a Butterfly/Hedgehog hybrid named Sapphire. Sapphire is the former princess of the Mini Worlds. She is the oldest daughter of Vanessa the Butterfly, the creator of zones. Because of this Sapphire can use any zone’s special power source, examples: chaos emeralds, sol emeralds, etc. When she was 5 her home was blown up and she, her sisters, and the other royal children were sent to the main zone; the zone where this story takes place.

I do have a second book which is called Gem Alphas Character Book.

Each page of this book has a list of the characters in each chapter, plus a description of their look, species, and tiles or relative to another. There are also pictures of outfits from each chapter too.

The first page is of who's replacing who from Shades365’s 'Sonic's Alpha' while the second page is pictures of some of the characters.

All of these pictures I found on Pinterest but I will be giving credit to the creator and if the creator does not like that I have used their pictures or OCs please say something in the comments and I will take the link down.
