I ended up going back to Tendershipping with this prompt,  I just adore these two~~~

oh snap! i actually managed to finish something for one of the prompts, and on the right day too!

The thief was slightly disappointed to wake up alone, even if he knew why Ryou had gotten up early. He grinned and stretched as the scent of bacon pervaded the apartment. Normally the smell would have seen him racing to the kitchen and trying to steal as much of the bacon as he could before being kicked out of the kitchen, but this morning he stayed in bed. Today was the day they had chosen to celebrate his birthday. He had considered several different days; Yugi would’ve insisted on sharing if he had tried to steal the tiny boy's birthday, Ryou would also have happily shared his as well, but the former spirit had stolen enough from him already (bacon notwithstanding) which was why he didn't pick Halloween either, instead settling on a few days before - the same day as Kaiba Seto's birthday. 

Ryou smiled at him as he carried their breakfast into the bedroom, "Good morning and happy birthday, Kura."

It wasn’t until he was nearly halfway through the massive pile of bacon that the thief noticed a small, plain white envelope hiding amongst the plates of food. “What’s this?”

“Open it and find out.”

Eyeing the pale boy suspiciously, the King of Thieves lifted the flap of the envelope and peered inside, seeing a single Duel Monster’s card. He frowned at Ryou’s excited grin, “You know I hate this game.”

“C’mon, you have to at least look at it,” the boy insisted.

Intentionally sighing loudly to emphasize his annoyance, he gave in and pulled out the card. His eyes went wide and his breath caught when he flipped it over. He recognized the image depicting the monster as something Ryou himself had drawn, the foil backing making it shimmer and seem alive, it was almost as beautiful as the real thing.

"How?" he stared, knowing that this monster card shouldn’t exist. Diabound had been too strong for the priests to seal away, so there had been no stone slab for Pegasus to use when he had created the modern card game.

"Yugi-kun and I talked to Kaiba-kun."

If Yugi had been involved, the Pharaoh likely had been as well, though Ryou didn’t mention him, and the thief preferred to pretend that his former enemy had nothing to do with this. "Yadonushi-sama… I -" he couldn’t find the words, it was almost too much, so instead he wrapped his arms around the thin frame of his former host and buried his face in the fluffy hair. "Ryou, thank you."

If I no longer remember you, who will engrave your Ren into a grave marker? Or the ruins of Kul Ulna? A cartouche?

You could carve my name into every rock and tree and it wouldn't help. Ammit has been hungering for my soul for millennia. The memory of me will cease to exist either way.

But I'd be here, alone and in pain and not understanding why. Forgetting is a curse.

Then you must forgive me.

While you still remember.

My last one! Decided to make this prompt ‘Partner’ cuz I still luv the idea Bakura asking Ryou to help him build the diorama for the last arc, and both working on it together~~~

Happy Tendershipping/Gemshipping Week - Day 1: Memory 

I am glad I can contribute this year too, sorry to my Bakura Bunnies I did push aside (it’s a bad habit of mine with my wips)~~~But they will be done!  I was reading Goendama Doujinshi “Do it For you” Where Ryou makes a figurine of himself for Memory World, so definitely inspired with the cracked Thief King Bakura doll. So many feels here, hope this works for Memory prompt!

I misinterpreted reflection as mirror (my bad)! But this old WIP came to mind for it, where I draw them from my favorite manga that is not YGO (this includes Tender and Deathshipping too)~~~ This scene I got from the manga Reservoir Chronicle Tsubasa image HERE! One of my favorite artist is CLAMP, and it also has inspiration from Leche Doujinshi too. *holds back the feels* I tried to have TKB disappearing/dissolving with this effect, hope you enjoy!
