Monday, September 30th at 2PM EDT, you finally get to marry the two men you met at that spontaneous autumn festival, but there are a lot of memories that bubble up as you walk down the aisle.

Then, later into the night, you might just see a spontaneous addition, including what happens when the festivities end 👀

Thank you all so much for hopping on this little Floytt train with me 🥰 This trio was only meant to be a one-off drabble, but thanks to all of you interacting and sending creative asks (I'm looking at you, T 🌻💛) and helping me to expand on them, we've built an entire AU just for this little trio.

The Floytts and the Hawthorn AU weren't solely created by me; they were also created by you, and there aren't enough words in the English language to express how much I adore that 🧡

Leading up to Monday, I will be working to create a chronological Hawthorn AU masterlist, as well as updating some of the earlier Hawthorn fics to include AFAB readers to better correlate with the new ones. I don't have any dates for those, but I'll announce them as they're completed!

I admittedly do not spend a lot of time thinking about Hollows unless they are my children, my flock, my Menos (OR THAT LIZARD), but I guess it would surprise me more if there were less Hollow biodiversity vs. more. I mean, sure, Hueco Mundo's whole deal is "minus," nothingness, hollow, void, etc. but literally the first thing Ichigo points out when they get there is that it has lizards, which suggests that it's really not empty at all. Similar to deserts in our world, which get branded as wastelands, Hueco Mundo's got its own biome(s) and trophic levels and ecological niches.

There's probably some kind of irony there, in that so much of Aizen's Las Noches is about existing in hierarchy and having/losing your numbered slot in that hierarchy, and how in this system strength equates to worth and sometimes to worship (in that it justifies who should be king, who should be dethroned, etc.). Having things like bawabawa and things like Espada would suggest, from a particular perspective, that *obviously* it's better to be an Espada--and even better yet, to be Aizen. That's a perspective: The higher up the food chain you are, the more you matter. The alternative is to be "nothing."

--except it's not nothing, is it? If Hueco Mundo is a real and actual place after all, and if we're talking ecosystems and maintaining and ecosystem and tryin' to do a symbiosis, then your soil microbes and your non-organismic nitrogen content and your bawbawa worms and your... idk menos slime molds are just as critical--if not more so--than whatever apex predators are claiming small crowns on sad hills.
