Trivikram Srinivas Unveils Rentala Jayadeva’s ‘Mana Cinema: First Reel’ Book in Grand Launch- Telugu Funda

Renowned filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas unveiled the much-anticipated book Mana Cinema: First Reel, written by celebrated journalist and Nandi Award-winning cine critic Dr. Rentala Jayadeva. The launch event was held at the Boyi Vijayabharathi venue during the Hyderabad Book Fair and drew eminent personalities from diverse fields.

The book, published by Emesco Publications, is the result of Jayadeva’s meticulous 25-year research on the history of South Indian cinema. It delves into the early days of filmmaking, tracing the evolution of cinema across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.

‘ఆదిపురుష్’ వల్ల మంచి క్రేజ్ సంపాదించుకుని… ‘గుంటూరు కారం’ వల్ల థియేటర్ల సమస్యతో సింపతీ సంపాదించుకున్న ‘హను-మాన్’ మూవీ జనవరి 12 న అంటే ఇంకొన్ని గంటల్లో రిలీజ్ కాబోతుంది. ఈ సినిమాకి మొదటి నుండీ మంచి బజ్ ఏర్పడింది. టీజర్, ట్రైలర్స్ కూడా వాటికి బలం చేకూర్చాయి. మరి ఆ స్థాయిలో సినిమా ఉందా? తేజ సజ్జ- ప్రశాంత్ వర్మ .. సంక్రాంతి బరిలో నిలిచి బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ కొట్టారా? వంటి విషయాలు తెలుసుకుందాం రండి :

కథ :

హనుమంతు(తేజ సజ్జ) అంజనాద్రి అనే ఊరికి చెందిన కుర్రాడు. అతనొక దొంగ. అందువల్ల అతనికి ఊర్లో చెడ్డ పేరు ఉంటుంది. ఈ కారణంతోనే అతను ప్రేమించే అమ్మాయి మీనాక్షి(అమృత అయ్యర్) కూడా ఇతన్ని పట్టించుకోదు. అయితే ఆమె ప్రమాదంలో ఉన్న టైంలో తేజ సజ్జ కాపాడాలి అనుకుంటాడు. కానీ ఇతను బలహీనుడు. ��ూడటానికి బక్కగా ఉంటాడు.. కొంచెం కూడా బలం ఉండదు. అయినప్పటికీ తన తెలివితేటలు ఉపయోగించి కాపాడాలి అనుకుంటాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో గాయపడి ఓ నదిలో పడిపోతాడు. అదే టైంలో అతనికి ఒక దివ్యమణి దొరుకుతుంది. దాని వల్ల అతనికి హనుమంతుని శక్తి లభిస్తుంది. దీంతో అతను బలవంతుడు అయిపోతాడు. అయితే అదే టైంలో అతనికి విలన్ వినయ్ రాయ్ వల్ల సమస్యలు కూడా ఏర్పడతాయి. అవేంటి? అసలు సిటీలో ఉండే వినయ్ రాయ్ .. అ��జనాద్రిలో చిన్న చిన్న దొంగతనాలు చేసుకునే హనుమంతుని ఎందుకు టార్గెట్ చేస్తాడు.? అతని వల్ల హనుమంతు కోల్పోయింది ఏంటి? అనేది మిగిలిన సినిమా.

విశ్లేషణ :

‘హను – మాన్’ ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ బాగుంటుంది. కొన్ని లాజిక్స్ మిస్ అయినా విజువల్స్ మ్యాజిక్ చేశాయి. ముఖ్యంగా చిన్న పిల్లలకు, ఫ్యామిలీ ఆడియన్స్ కి నచ్చే సీన్లు ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ లో చాలానే ఉన్నాయి. కామెడీ కూడా వర్కౌట్ అయ్యింది. ఇంటర్వెల్ సీక్వెన్స్ కూడా ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. అయితే సెకండ్ హాఫ్ గ్రాఫ్ డౌన్ అయిన ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. ఓ దశలో సినిమా పడిపోయింది అనే ఫీలింగ్ కూడా కలుగుతుంది. వరలక్ష్మీ శరత్ కుమార్ రోల్ కి సాడ్ ఎండింగ్ ఇచ్చి ముగించడం అనేది.. ఫోర్స్డ్ గా అనిపిస్తుంది. అయితే అక్కడక్కడ, అలాగే ప్రీ క్లైమాక్స్ లో సముద్రఖని రోల్ సినిమాని నిలబెట్టింది అని చెప్పాలి. ఆఖరి 20 నిమిషాలు ప్రేక్షకులకి మంచి థ్రిల్లింగ్ ఎక్స్పీరియన్స్ ఇస్తుంది.

దర్శకుడు ప్రశాంత్ వర్మ.. తక్కువ బడ్జెట్లో ఇంత క్వాలిటీ సినిమాని అందించినందుకు మెచ్చుకోవాలి. అలా అని ఇది కొత్త కథేమీ కాదు ‘అంజి’ ‘శ్రీ ఆంజనేయం’ ‘క్రిష్’ వంటి సినిమాలను మిక్స్ చేసినట్టే ఉంటుంది. కాకపోతే ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ ను దర్శకుడు బాగా తీర్చిదిద్దాడు. సెకండ్ హాఫ్ విషయంలో అతని ఇంకాస్త శ్రద్ధ పెట్టి ఉంటే ఇంకా బాగుండేది. అయితే అక్కడక్కడా అతను లాజిక్స్ కూడా మిస్ చేశాడు. సినిమాకి టైం పీరియడ్ అనేది చెప్పలేదు. అంజనాద్రి అనే ఊరి జనాల చేతుల్లో ఒక్క ఫోన్ కూడా కనిపించదు. అయినా సరే ఓ సన్నివేశంలో ఆర్య, జల్సా, బాహుబలి, అతడు .. వంటి సినిమాల రిఫరెన్స్..ల గురించి అలాగే ‘ఇదెక్కడి మాస్ రా మావా’ అంటూ పాపులర్ మీమ్ డైలాగ్ గురించి కూడా చెబుతాడు. అంతేకాదు ఈ సినిమాలో ఓ చోట బాలకృష్ణ ఎవరు గ్రీన్ ట్రోల్ మెటీరియల్ అయిన ‘పలనాటి బ్రహ్మనాయుడు’ సినిమాలోని ట్రైన్ రివర్స్ వెళ్లే సినిమా రిఫరెన్స్ ని కూడా వాడుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. ఇవన్నీ ఫోర్స్డ్ గా అనిపించినా.. చిన్న సినిమా కాబట్టి పెద్దగా కంప్లైంట్ చేసేలా ఉండవు.

నటీనటుల విషయానికి వస్తే.. తేజ సజ్జ ఇమేజ్ కి ‘హనుమాన్’ ప్రాజెక్టు ఎక్కువైపోద్ది అని అంతా అనుకున్నారు. కానీ ఈ కథకి ఓ సామాన్యుడు, అందులోనూ బలహీనంగా ఉన్న కుర్రాడు అయితేనే బాగుంటుంది. కాబట్టి తేజ సజ్జ సరిగ్గా సరిపోయాడు అని ��ెప్పాలి. హీరోయిన్ అమృత అయ్యర్ పాత్ర కూడా కథని ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లే పాత్ర అనే చెప్పాలి.ఎంతమంది ఉన్నా వరలక్ష్మీ శరత్ కుమార్, సముద్రఖని ఎక్కువ మార్కులు కొట్టేసారు అని చెప్పాలి. కమెడియన్ సత్య కూడా రెండు, మూడు సీన్స్ లో నవ్వించాడు. వెన్నెల కిషోర్, వినయ్ రాయ్..ల పాత్రలు మాత్రం జస్ట్ ఓకే అనిపించే విధంగా మాత్రమే ఉన్నాయి.

చివరిగా.. ‘హను-మాన్’ రిలీజ్ కి ముందు అందరూ మోసేసినంత అయితే ఏమీ ఉండదు. ‘అంజి’ ‘శ్రీ ఆంజనేయం’ ‘క్రిష్’ అంతెందుకు ‘జాంబీ రెడ్డి’ వంటి సినిమాలను మిక్స్ చేసినట్టే ఉంటుంది. కానీ విజువల్స్ తో దర్శకుడు చేసిన మ్యాజిక్ కోసం ఈ సంక్రాంతికి ఒకసారి థియేటర్లలో ట్రై చేయొచ్చు.
