Titania's perception and compassion have extended to any and all who have come into the Greil Mercenaries' care - be it those they have helped, or those they have employed. Her kindness is easy and calming, and proves to be a true light in the dark that comes with the loss of their founding commander. With the family she's found working their way through his loss and into a war, it's all she can do to maintain what's left.

After some floundering games released way too late in the console's lifetime, Intelligent systems was at a crossroads with Fire Emblem. Nintendo was letting them make a game for their new portable system, and IS needed a game that would help them sell fire emblem to a new gaming community. What they landed on was a nostalgic reimagining of a past game in the series, with plenty of references for old fans, while telling an upbeat storyline with tons of color to reel in younger new players.

It's kinda crazy Awakening does the same thing Binding Blade did a decade earlier isn't it?

A friendly tip for fellow tumblr artists especially in the fire emblem sphere; using single names like Hector or Tailtiu for your posts do not help people find it in the long run and following said tags get you 20000+ other things, use tags like:

hector fire emblem

tailtiu fe

fe tailiu

fire emblem hector

etc

to avoid such things! You can also edit tags after you post as well in case you find new tags!

Another helpful tip tag wise: many games get grouped by continent and you can add those tags as well! Ones I know are:

Tellius (fe9 & 10 aka Path of Radiance & Radiant Dawn)

Elibe (fe 6 & 7 aka Binding Blade & Blazing Blade/Sword <- you can tag fe7 as both blazing sword and blazing blade as I've seen both used!)

Jugdral (fe4 aka Genealogy of the Holy War)

Thracia (fe5 aka Thracia 776 <- Thracia isn't the same as Jugdral since it's a more specific part of the world and the game is *technically* separate timeline) (Also to note: Thracia 776, Fire Emblem Thracia 776, etc are tags that can be used for this game)

Fódlan (fe16 aka Three Houses <- I haven't used this one myself but I assume it gets used)

Magvel (fe8 aka Sacred Stones <- also haven't used this one often either but it should work)

Archanea (fe 1, fe 3, fe 11, & fe12 aka Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, Mystery of the Emblem, Shadow Dragon, & New Mystery of the Emblem) (I don't think Awakening gets this one too since it's 2000 years after Mystery of the Emblem, but it could idk)

Edit: Ylisse (fe13 aka Awakening) (Recently saw this one so I added it)

I also say this since I keep seeing Fire Emblem hate because we invade other tags when we don't have too! Also on that note

Fire Emblem: Three Hopes =/= Fire Emblem Warriors tag, these are two separate games! Use 3h warriors or other tags that aren't just fire emblem warriors plain! It makes it harder to find posts from that game if you clog the tag!

Sorry if this post sounds mean but like we can do better for longevity since tumblr actually makes it possible to do so! Also if I missed any interesting tags (besides shipping that's another matter entirely tbh) don't be afraid to mention it!

little bit about me if y'all are curious!

long story short is i'm an ooooold tellius (fe9/10) fan from way back in the mid 2000's that finally gave Fates a chance last summer and absolutely fell head over heels for this ossan ~ i've always had a thing for older fellas which probably didn't help ;)

(FE nerds who've been around for that long have a really solid chance of remembering me as that one zihark fangirl ~ this ain't my first FE sideblog!)

played conquest, revelation, started and finished writing my 125k gunter/corrin married rev!route fic 'your ruin, my ruin' , played revelation like 3 more times, and currently in the middle of drawing a gunter/corrin doujinshi. a lot of my meta will reference YRMR, the aforementioned fic.

tagging here is a bit of a mess since i honestly didn't expect to be so obsessed a year a later and it's fun to have a casual place to screech, but the old reliables tend to be #my art, #other art, plus the specific "liveblog" tags mentioned in the pinned post. in between will be a lot of horny shitposting about hot old men and general fates meta.

(speaking of hot old men i'm only a little sorry about the absolutely random magneto thirst. as you can see this is more of a thirst blog than anything :P there's a tag for that if you want to block it tho!)

fun fact: my other favorite fates characters would probably be reinia, camilia, arthur, shura, and niles. much like a specific somebody else, I'm not keen on FE royals in general.
