I'd like my $300 back from the transit fsa that didn't let the cards work and then when I made the purchase a few days later they said Sorry! Too Late! Even though it's Our Fault For Making It Not Work!

I'd like for my hours of checking with every possible person that I could use my $3200 on Invisalign to actually work out but NO apparently the dentist fucked up in helping me pay in a way that would work for the insurance claim

In every possible instance I've checked with the correct people and gone through it as necessary and every fucking time

Every time someone else has fucked up and it's my goddamn money that's being left in their fucking coffers

If the dentists can't fix this then I'm going to be out over $3000.

some thoughts

1. my knee-jerk reaction was characters are not their actors so who cares let mav’s teeth be whatever you want

2. But engaging w/ this honestly i see a couple possibilities

3. possibility A is that yes mav has fucked crazy bigass teeth (see my post on ice calling him “Peter rabbit” for more on this)

4. possibility B is that part of trying to reinvent himself during their brief divorce era (post pulling rooster’s papers ca. 2002-2005) was getting adult braces and the like 4 times ice saw him during that period he was just so bewildered he didn’t think to comment on it at all

5. (can navy fighter pilots have braces?? i feel like it would immediately obviate any call sign you had and everyone regardless of rank would immediately start calling you “brace face” and that’s what they’d stencil on the side of your f-18 or w/e… Pete “brace face” Mitchell! honor is everything im not sure mav would tolerate that! you lose a LOT of social capital when you have braces as an adult unless you’re actually tom cruise! which mav is not!)

6. Possibility C mav got invisalign circa 2015 when it really started getting popular and had his retainers in during the TGM mission cause why not. that’s funny. you cannot lose a SINGLE day with Invisalign or it sets you back so much. even if you have a suicidal navy mission to drop bombs on a sovereign country ... still gotta wear your Invisalign dumbass

Pearly Whites

Okay, so maybe not the most pearly of whites, yet. But, now that I'm finally done with nearly 3 years of treatment, my tooths are tight and right!

Honestly, they didn't bother me before. It came to a point where I was having some tooth chipping issues because there just wasn't enough overbite, so that ultimately led me to make the decision to do Invisalign. Now, if I can just work on the gray hair 😎🙃🤪

i was at the dentist appointment today and tell me why she complimented my teeth the whole time and you know ME miss “jeonghan tic tac teeth” to say i was geeked is an understatement. She said, and i quote “Most important your teeth are all so healthy no cavities anywhere and they are all in such a beautiful shapes” and i was like Ummm no do you see how the lateral incisor from the left is smaller and she said “You are so critical. Imagine if you had big square teeth it would clash with you image - Yours go naturally with your thin frame” LMFAOOOOO she said “vitak stas” to paint the picture better. she also commented how unusually sharp my canines are 🥰 And in the middle of the cleaning she stopped and said “You should wear contacts your eyes are so beautiful - what a rare and striking shade of blue” (i told her i do wear them usually but i’ve been staring at my laptop screen whole day and my eyes were hurting) 10/10 experience i always love going to the dentist maybe that’s why they love me too

Had the delightful pleasure of starting to fix my goddamn teeth today. I’m actually beyond excited, I’ve been saving for this for forever and needing it for more than 10 years. (Because obviously insurance won’t cover it even if you’ve got daily pain from teeth grinding/clenching.) Wisdom teeth are rude. My front teeth do not touch, but by August of next year they finally will 😭 and now a bunch of my teeth have little shark fin buttons!

Dental care should be free and NO shame if you’ve struggled with dental health. I feel so lucky to be able to afford this and finally do this for myself. I wish it was easier for everyone to get the care they need.

it really is funny when dentists/dental assistants act surprised about you not going every six months (and act like you are the scum of the earth when you haven't been there for years). like i know y'all are biased but certainly you HAVE to realize how expensive this is right.
