💋 MetaDede Week 2024 Day 2: First Kiss 💋

I remember a really bizarre exchange I had on my old Tumblr back in 2015 where I argued with an anon over asks bc I wanted to eat less sugar in my diet so that I'd have less painful acne breakouts. and they took it SUPER personally for whatever reason and I specifically remember a banger line where they said something along the lines of "if you're gonna be the fucking sugar police then im becoming a sugar terrorist" and I still don't know what it means today

hey this is random but i just was thinking

as i was doing my makeup i was kind of beating myself up for my skin problems yada yads

but then i realised something- so heres my little rant, i guess

if youre a teenager- theres no reason to feel bad about your skin or acne. coming for a teenager. everyone gets it- even the people with the "clearest" skin have some texture or blackheads. the most attractive people in your school nost likely have it. the guy or girl you like probably has it. your friends probably have it- so dont feel bad if you have it!

like trust me, nearly everyone has it and its nothing ugly or bad. i have it. my friends have it. my crush has it. my friends crushes have it. the most popular boys and girls have it.

also- its kind of cute, in my opinion. it definitely adds to peoples features, and its nothing to be insecure of. red spots? look like strawberries. texture? adds to your face. white or blackheads? think of it as pointillism.

so theres one for all my teenagers :)

but it doesnt matter. because he's a white man. nothing matters to him.

One of the kids I work with (I teach kids theater classes) asked me if I’m too old to know what ‘memes’ are. After saying that I do, in fact, know what memes are, she asked if I’ve ever heard the term ‘slay’. She emphasized that it’s OK if I don’t know that one, as it’s quite new and definitely ‘past my time’

I think it’s time i go to a retirement home.
