Top 5 Reasons to Read

Sweet Nightmare evokes all the feelings of the old glory days of paranormal YA books! ANY fan of YA paranormal is going to want to read this one asap.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Okay, so I don't think there was actually a bear shifter...and not lions or tigers, but definitely other big cats with two leopard shifters! This book has alll the great paranormal creatures plus some I'd not seen before: vampires, fae, wolf shifters, mermaids, sirens, even manticores (no, I did not know what they were until this book, lol).

Clementine has a difficult relationship with her family, but there is so much found family here that it just warmed my heart. it's one of my favorite tropes, and the Calder Academy students came together for each other in the most difficult of circumstances.

Clementine and Jude have the most adorable friends-to-lovers relationship! My favorite thing about them is how Jude calls her by the name of every citrus fruit so she calls him by the name of Beatles songs, ahhhh it's just too sweet!

Although this is YA, Tracy is not at all afraid to put her characters in dangerous situations and make them, even as teens, work through it. These kids are put through the wringer! She does not shy away from the gore and even death such situations would bring either, which I personally would have loved as a teen reader myself.

Seriously, if you're at all a fan of YA paranormal books, including Tracy's Crave series and older standards like Twilight, pick this one up!

my thought on this movie below (may contain spoilers):

Palo Alto isn’t just another high school movie with a predictable plot and cheesy antics. no, this one’s got valour, pain, and a whole lot of awkwardness — just like real life. it's dark, it's raw, and to be honest, it’s not exactly the kind of feel-good flick I'm going to put on when I want something light-hearted. but that’s precisely what I loved about it. it’s got this quiet, almost unsettling vibe that’s a mix of real and unreal, which is exactly what makes it so intriguing. I’ve always been a sucker for films that embrace the darker side of adolescence, and Palo Alto definitely falls into that category. it captures the messiness of being a teenager — that point where we're old enough to feel things deeply but still figuring out what it all means. the themes are heavy, like sex, drugs, and the complicated relationships that form between teachers and students. and let’s talk about the uncomfortable relationship between Emma Roberts’ character, April, and James Franco’s Mr. B. a teacher who crosses boundaries, is disturbingly believable in his role. you can almost feel the manipulation and emotional chaos just bubbling beneath the surface. and that makes it even more disturbing to think that this film is an adaptation of stories written by Franco himself. given the multiple lawsuits that followed him in real life, I can’t help but wonder if the stories are his personal experiences… and if they are, well, that's just plain unsettling.

what makes Palo Alto even more interesting is its aesthetic. it’s almost like watching a dream that’s slowly falling apart. the way the movie looks — the hazy, sun-drenched shots of suburban California — gives everything this kind of floaty, detached feel. but don’t let that fool you, the content is anything but light. the story didn't take me by the hand and led me through neatly packaged plots. instead, it let me drifted through the lives of these troubled teens, who, in all their beautiful mess, are searching for meaning and connection in all the wrong places. now, I’ll be honest: the movie does get a little unfocused at times. it’s not your typical high school coming-of-age film with a neat bow at the end. instead, it’s a bit of a slow burn, and you may find yourself wishing it would either pick up the pace or dive deeper into certain characters’ stories. but somehow, that sense of not fully knowing what’s next just adds to the movie’s allure. it feels like life — imperfect, scattered, and sometimes disjointed, but still deeply felt.

Esteban Ocon, a 'normal' guy who clawed his way to the top in this sport rife with generational wealth and nepotism. No one loves nepotism more than an f1 fan, no one. Y'all already root for Kimi's son, Max and his gf's hypothetical kids. "DOES VOWLES KNOW HE'S BADMOUTHING F1 ROYALTY, SEB'S GRID GODSON, MICK SCHUMACHER!?!" Those were the exact words I read few days back.

So next time, when u think Ocon is being too agressive, fighting too hard, also think about the teen who had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Think about the little boy who managed to claw his way to the top with all odds stacked against him only coz he fought hard.

"I think that's the first time I've heard a driver try to argue their way out of the main strategy," Crofty laughed on the broadcast.

"Box, Y/n. Box."

You sighed, thinking you've reached your defeat. You pulled into your pit box and noticed the green ring on the tires.

They're putting you on inters.

They're following your strategy.

You clicked the radio button back on, "Thank you," you screamed to your team.

You were briefed with everything a few days ago, but you couldn't help but come up with your own plan after getting the weather report for the weekend.

The rain was about a minute away now and you begged the team to put you on intermediate tires right at this time. You knew it would be difficult to drive on a barley damp track like this, but if it worked you could be looking at a podium.

You only had to drive a single lap before it started pouring and your plan payed off. Almost the entire grid struggled with their dry tires in the new track conditions, giving you time to create a lead as they had to slow down and pit.

Every lap you completed as race leader made you more anxious than the last. You held your breath as you reached the last corner of the last lap, vaguely able to see the chequered flag. Tears filled your eyes as you crossed the finish line in P1, the Williams garage being shown on the big screen sprinting out to congratulate you.

Before you had the chance to jump into the arms of your team, Oscar was running up to you. He picked you up and pressed his soft lips to yours right in front of the cameras. You smiled into the kiss, happy tears still streaming down your cheeks.

He pulled you into a tight hug, "I'm so proud of you. I love you so much," he mumbled into your hair.

"I love you too, Osc." you laughed through your crying.

He pulled away, cupping your face in his hands, and kissing your forehead. You smiled as he wiped your cheeks with his thumbs.

"So... instead of us interacting with each other online to keep our relationship private, you decide to make out with me in public?"

Oscar laughed and hugged you again, "Just enjoy the moment.”

I found someone interesting friend of Plo Koon in Legend. Especially if you are thinking about Wolffe.

This man from Star wars(1998).

He was military man who served and loved Republic.

He fought with Plo in the Stark hyperspace war, and deeply respected him. Even requesting him to stay with his troopers to prevent them from thinking that they were abandoned.

And he even got injured in his face and got scar in his face.

And when I see this, I can't help but remind one time of Wolffe's one of the worst days.

And they all fought till end of the Republic.

And unfortunately Jace was royal to his Jedi till end...

It is interesting that there was a character who reminds me of Wolffe so much.

In my consideration, since Jace was the first created man in comics, maybe Wolffe was inspired by him, somethings like the close relationship with Plo Koon, scar in head got in worst time, being survivors of cruel wartime, care for their troopers, royalty for Republic, and denying the Empire and Sith.
