It’s then that the TF 141 find out he’s married to you. They’re all wondering what you’re like, convinced you must be in the same line of work.

You’ve been married for six years, only to be called if it’s serious like now.

Soap’s jaw is on the floor as you walk into the infirmary, you don’t even glance their way as you rush to Simon’s bedside. Your hand on his chest as you lean down to kiss his forehead and brush back his hair.

You’re well put together, a lightweight robe layered over jeans and a simple vest. Pops of colour on your olive thick framed glasses and golden wedged heels. Hair pinned back with a pencil, leather bag overpacked with a book, filofax, purse and little cosmetic bag.

Price introduces himself, shaking your hand. A dainty diamond ring sparkling on your finger. Your silver bangles jingle as you greet each man, repeating their names and they know Ghost has not told you anything about them.

All he told you is that he likes working alone, but sometimes works with others.

You stay at the base for a while till he’s well enough to travel home. Eating with him and the guys in the canteen, they’re still staring at Simon like he’s grown another head. Watching you two squabble about little things.

“Do not put that shit on my plate,” Simon grumbled.

“It’s broccoli not a bomb.” You can’t help but roll your eyes, shoulder bumping into his arm as you try to move him along in the line.

The art director job you have takes you all around the world, sometimes you get to meet up with your husband. Simon treating it like a mission in itself, you playing along as you talk to him over the phone as you walk the cobbled streets to see him. “Target engaged, moving in,” you whisper as you spot him standing outside a coffee shop.

FaceTiming him whilst he’s at base so you can show him the little trinket you found in an antique store. He’s laying down in his bed, headphones on so no one hears.

“Nearly the same age as you luv.” Anything to see that little poutie face and brows furrowed. He loves teasing you that you are older than him, but it backfires whenever he complains at his body aching. “You’re supposed to be young and spry.”

Being a couple years older than Simon, you’ve got your shit together. Which drew Simon to you. Both no nonsense, say what you feel and work it out. No games, no silent treatment.

“Watch your tone Si, you’re not in the army here. You’re home so don’t give me that shit.”

“Watch my tone, luv. You just flooded the bathroom!”

“You distracted me!”

“Why don’t I get some towels and we both sort it out.”

Once Simon’s fully recovered, you invite his team to stay at your shared home together for the weekend.

A cottage in the countryside, there’s an eclectic mix of vintage furniture and textiles. That one rug Simon shipped back from Morocco in the living room. Paintings, pottery and sculptures scattered around the rooms. Rocky, a German Shepard trailing after you as you give them a tour of the place.

You make friends with Price’s wife who’s around the same age as you. Even try to set Gaz up with a client you think he’d get on with. Bond with Soap telling him you lived in Scotland as a late teen where you had your first art assistant job there.

Price’s wife scheduling a double date in five months time. Simon side eying John. She’s also invited you to come stay for a girls weekend at the Price house.

Some Baby Savior AU Expansion

This is an Adamsapple AU because I love them they have taken over my life. I'm sorry in advance because there's a lot going on and I'm bad at being succinct.

This AU works under the Assumption that Adam didn't Die to get into Heaven. He was Ascended while he was still alive as a 'reward' for staying 'good', having not eaten of the Fruit of Knowledge. But his children were still tainted because of their mother, and so while they were still young, the eldest still only being in their teens, he was taken away from them to stay safe in Heaven.

Also, there are yearly meetings held a week after Exterminations where Lucifer and Adam (and Lute) meet in order to discuss quotas, numbers, etc. They're mandatory as per the agreement.

So-

Lilith left Lucifer while Charlie was still just an infant and he had to raise her alone. It was Difficult and when Lucifer was Busy, Charlie spent a lot of time being watched by her Aunts and Uncles, the Sins. But he foolishly let himself trust the people of his ring once and they took advantage, an Overlord trying to vy for more influence hired someone to steal the Princess and hold her hostage. The night before the Extermination.

Lucifer is already overworked and stressed and now having his daughter kidnapped made him lose his mind and go on a full rampage, destroying part of Pentagram City in his blind rage and panic. Which, Great for the Exorcists as long as they keep out of his way because that means they can pick off all the freaked out and fleeing sinners.

And it's during this panicked frantic mess that Adam quite literally drops in on these shady sinners (through the ground because of Hell's shitty infrastructure) who try to Kill him. Surprise, Angelic Steel weapons are being manufactured and they can Hurt Angels. They're still no match for Adam, so he kills them, but not without getting nicked by a few bullets, his arm injured, his wing useless, and his mask a little shattered. And then he hears a fussy crying sound and finds a baby hidden in a nearby crate. Pale with cute red cheeks and golden hair. She reminds him of someone. And she reminds him of his youngest daughter the last time he saw her... Well, she's hellborne, so he wasn't going to kill her anyway. Maybe he'll just take her home with him and he can puppy dog eyes at Sera until she let him keep her!

But he can't fly with these injuries, so he needs to go to the Embassy where he knows Lute and his girls will be waiting for him. But the Embassy is really close to Lucifer's rampage zone. What's he being so insane about anyway? And after almost becoming collateral, and Adam Yelling at him, it clicks. Those red cheeks were familiar for a reason. She must be his kid. There go his plans for bringing her with him. And here he was picking out a name and everything : / He can't bring himself to hate her or to take her away from her dad when he's obviously so upset. It's Begrudgingly that he gets Lucifer's attention to give the baby back. He's attached to her now.

A week after the Extermination, there's a meeting. To discuss the use of Angelic Weapons in hell, to find out who and how they're being made and distributed and ending that production immediately. And Lucifer can't exactly trust anyone in Pride anymore so Charlie comes to the meeting. She's happy to see the weird Kitty again. Adam is Thrilled to see her and spends a good chunk of the meeting making silly faces to make her laugh.

This becomes Normal, Charlie coming to the meetings, too young to understand anything but excited to get to see Adam. She has very clearly gotten attached to him.

Many years pass (Charlie is over 200 years old, and I assume that means super slow aging so she's developmentally 6 years old) and Adam tells Lucifer to not bring Charlie to the meeting. Lucifer agrees and leaves her with Bee in Gluttony. At the meeting, Adam is there in person, pacing and stressed. Lucifer arrives to find him in that state and Adam breaks down, begging on his knees for Lucifer to keep him in Hell. He can't go back to Heaven. They're going to make him remarry Lilith and she's probably into pegging and he doesn't want to be pegged.

Lucifer tries to wrap his mind around the fact that Lilith is in Heaven. Adam feels a little guilty but what was he supposed to do? He couldn't force Lilith to go home and stop being a deadbeat Mom. Lucifer is Mad that Adam never told him Lilith was in Heaven, he knew how much of a struggle he was having without her. Adam tries to make excuses and reverts to begging again, saying they won't let him leave Heaven again if he goes back. And that hits a cord. Lucifer's angry about the thing with Lilith, but Charlie didn't know her mother. She knew Adam though, and he doesn't want her to go through the pain of losing someone important to her. Okay, he'll help keep Adam safe in Hell so Heaven can't get to him. And by that Point, Adam was reminded that there's a chance that Heaven might come after Charlie so actually he'd be staying regardless so he can keep an Eye on Charlie and keep her safe.

Unbeknownst to Adam though, Lucifer has a secret. He'd fallen in love with him. It's 100% because of seeing how good Adam is with Charlie. Charlie is Lucifer's Everything, she is the most important thing in his life and she likes and gets along with Adam and Adam clearly cares for her and that means more than anything else could. And he's in love because of it. But he doesn't tell Adam that.

Together Adam and Lucifer raise Charlie, they're Dad/Daddy and Dadam (Adam came up with it because actually being called a nickname for father reminded him too much of the kids he didn't get to see grow up). And when Charlie gets old enough to move out on her own, Empty Nest Syndrome kicks in. But in the "we're not raising a kid together anymore, we should go our separate ways" kinda way. Because the entire time Lucifer never said anything about his feelings so they'd been Platonically co-parenting for over a century while Lucifer pined.

Charlie finds out that Adam is thinking of moving out and panics because she thinks this means her dads are getting a divorce. She never knew they weren't married. She never knew they weren't even Together. Because they sure Seemed to love each other all those years! She tries to encourage her dad to tell Adam how he feels and he does. It doesn't go well. Adam doesn't believe it, he refuses. (And it's not because he doesn't love him, Adam has loved him consistently since Eden) But he just can't accept it and decides it's Definitely better to move out. Lucifer goes into a depressive isolated episode while Adam is out there going on week long Benders to try and cope. The Sins have to get involved once Charlie reaches out, worried about both of them because Lucifer is barely responsive and Adam is dismissive. Ozzie tries to find out what's going on with Lucifer and Bee is taking care of the doped up drunken depressed mess that is Adam, she knows how to deal with drunks.

The Sins and Charlie are going to help them sort out their shit so they can actually try to be happy together the way they should have been the whole time. That's about where the conversation's ended for now. Orz this is long

Ok he didn’t really have a thing to have a bad feeling about so far the day has been uneventful (which is odd considering it’s HIM) so John really didn’t know what was going on to make him so unsettled

But just in case (oh gods he’s starting to sound like the bats) he checked all of the protective runes on the house of mystery than checked every room for anything that all but when nothing turned up he just thought he was being paranoid

And while trying to calm himself down on the couch he heard something from behind him so he looked and when he did he saw

The Bloody Fucking Door

It was on the floor and a Being with white hair and that’s all he could really see from the hood covering their face and a mask with some of their hair coming out from under the hood kicked it the door down but before John could do anything the being grabbed him and throw him through the portal that was not there a second ago 

What has John’s life come to at this point he thought before he passed out with a cold feeling on his back and the blurry figure walking through the same portal

John wakes up to poking in his face and the sound of two pre-teens arguing

“Are you sure this is the right guy, he looks like a alcoholic” says a younger girl voice coming from his right side and probably the hand that’s poking him

“Yes, I’m sure this is the right guy he was in the magic house and he has the trench-coat” replied a boy around the same age as the girl and coming from his left side

That’s when John opens his eyes and are met with the faces of two pre-teens

Vlad was being his usual asshole self and with Maddie shutting down any and all attempts at getting a date (I HC that he’s obsession is family because he was left alone in the hospital with a secondary obsession on control because he couldn’t do anything about he’s condition or help himself, but it’s still not a excuse to be a creep) so he was holding on by a thread at this point now to get off topic of this for a sec

Meanwhile Dani~Dawn and Dan~Dusk had to de-aged and Danny was taking care of them with a little bit of help from his parents when remembered they have children (Somewhat good Fenton parents! That’s rare in this Fandom) and a very busy Jazz has she is dealing with college stuff and everything is chill

Until Vlad’s obsession starts to change from dating Maddie and keeping Danny as his son to just keeping Danny but in the way Ra and Slade are and of course Danny is creeped TF out and starts to get ready to dip and somehow this gets back to Vlad and that’s what makes him go off the deep end and he starts to go after Danny

And in the fight to leave Jazz, The Fentons, Sam, Tucker all get got by Vlad and Danny gets injured but he is able to go through the portal and destroy it from his side with Dawn and Dusk with him

And they end up in Danny’s Lair and this leads us to now

SETTING THE STAGE: meet ℑRIS

stars in her eyes, moonlight in her hair, her lips are poison. she is cosmos trying to disguise itself as a teenage girl.

chaotic mess personified. a zaunite siren and teenage dirtbag rolled into one.

iris is the current cause of jayce talis' headaches and his source of nightmares. or so he claims, the overdramatic man.

but...let's start from the beggining.

born on the late morning/near noon of year 970 an, iris entered the world with a scream. her little fists already curled, as if with anger at the unjust world, that she was born into. unlike one of her soulmates, she didn't arrive into this world surrounded by wealth and splendors but instead within the walls of a small shack, rickety and barely holding together. located down-low, in the very depths of the sump.

this place would not become her home. neither the woman who birthed her would be known to the girl by the name of mother.

instead the child was left without a mother, in the arms of her freshly orphaned half-brother, viktor. and later on raised by her biological father, viktor leaving for the academy and piltover.

since iris' early years, the girl was influenced by zaun's revolutionary circles. with her daddy and his friends at it's very centre, little iris got first row seats to hearing her father's and uncle silco's speeches. both, damn bastards in their own rights. to her, they were icons. she burned their words, their teachings into her mind. drinking it all up.

among many other things, it was this fact that attributed to her greatest ambition becoming the desire to contribute to the cause of zaun, as well as improving the conditions of her home.

iris was a restless wild child. between that and the healing factor of her magic, it was easy for her to miss the signs of her soulmate connection. the random scrapes and bruises would heal themselves too fast to be noted (don't worry guys, i figured that vi was one of my soulmates later on in my childhood. we aren't a couple yet, cuz idk. i am kinda scared to be in relationship. so, i want it to unfold organically.). her father has put that energy to use. he had her trained in combat and firearms. exchanged favors to have the brightest minds he knew tutor her.

and when she started showing the first signs of inheriting his arcane abilities, he began mentoring her.

iris was a piece of clay to be molded, a blade to be sharpened, his prodigy. and she would develop both her skills and knowledge even after erik was killed. a few days prior to the day of ash.

by the current age of sixteen, iris was competent fighter, artist and tinkerer. and a teenage menace as well.

she was living with benzo and ekko then, the three of them a makeshift family. arguing with the former constantly, angered at vander's and the middle-aged man's passivity towards topside's treatment of the undercity.

somewhere in the trajectory of her life, iris attempted to rob the apartment/workshop of jayce talis alongside her friends. the group was unaware of the dangers posed by the volatile hex crystals stored inside. the resulting explosion has injured both iris and vi, with the former being hit with a powerful blast of hextech magic energy. and unbeknowst to them, their other soulmate was injured too. she was just a wall away, an irony of fate. their soulmate connection meant they kept hurting each other. the three of them would have died, if not for the white-haired girl's self-healing powers. but even those were limited when faced with magic-caused wounds.

violet's siblings: mylo, claggor and powder had reluctantly fled the scene of crime. remaining uncaptured by enforcers.

the three teens eventually recovered, the incident shining light to them being soulmates.

through the series of chaotic shenanigans, both vi and iris narrowly escaped being sentenced to the stillwater's hold prison. and the latter, somehow even managed to become councillor heimerdinger's apprentice. she has been (funnily enough) assigned to viktor and jayce as a student/apprentice thing, to talis' utter horror.

(here is basically where i lose any idea what to script lol. sorry for this not making any sense.)

when it comes to fighting and powers, i have smoke-related powers and self-healing/regenerative powers. for the sake of combat, i also added spider-sense essentially, super speed and strength, as well as flexibilty, agility, etc.

i'm also not gonna lie, i am jinx's rip-off in my dr. i use explosives, guns and blades in combat. along with utilizing my smoke powers to confuse my enemies.

also, as you had guessed from the backstory...my dr is set in act 1 of season 1 more or less.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH SOULMATES?

basically, soulmates are a thing in my arcane dr. the thing is...they're very, very rare occurance in runeterra. to the point of becoming a thing of myths/legends. i haven't really specified how the bond works in my dr, but i just headcanon that it manifests different depending on particular connection.

for mine, i take inspo/basically copy the idea from @/somewillwin's caitvi soulmates au. we share pain and injuries.

Mob Jack and Luke thought partially inspired by Luke getting a matching bionic shoulder after Jack did this season and partially inspired by my own relationship with my older sister.

Luke has a habit of being like a baby duck with Jack. Whenever he’s even the slightest bit unsure about anything in his life, he instinctively turns to the singular constant in his life for guidance. It’s almost comical seeing the two go out together because Luke is almost always hiding behind Jack, despite being much taller, because Jack is familiar, safe in a way that nothing else had ever been in their lives. He is trustworthy and kind and the most important person in Luke’s life, so Luke starts mirroring him from a young age. If Jack decided he liked something, Luke would love it just as much. If Jack complained about a certain subject, Luke would act out in that class the next day. At some point Jack figured this out and he would use it to keep Luke safe. All he had to do to get Luke to listen was tell him that it was something he would do himself and then Luke wouldn’t want to do anything else. This routine continues past high school and well into their mob days, although not as pronounced. For the most part the other boys don’t notice it, but Reader sure does. Not immediately, but a few months into being around the boys consistently they all go out drinking and end up crashing at Nico’s. In the morning Reader makes a disgusting looking hangover cure concoction and Luke won’t even look at it. He says something like food is supposed to taste good and make you happy, not assault you with the scent. And then Jack asks for a glass and Luke quiets. A few minutes later he would take Jack’s glass and finish it without complaints and something clicks in Reader’s brain, right where the mama bear instincts live. She doesn’t say anything then, but she understands the two’s dynamic more. However she does say something after Luke goes and gets himself injured in the same stupid way Jack had just a week before. After that they have a long talk about “just because Jack does it, that doesn’t mean it’s safe” and “Jack stop being dumb, you have a shadow that does everything you do”. Of course Luke still follows Jack around everywhere and Jack always looks behind to make sure he’s still right there behind him. A platonic and slightly less tragic Orpheus and Eurydice if you will. Bound to continue as long as the universe allows.

Ahhh 🦉 anon I’ve missed you! And you’re back and better than ever because this is so so cute.

Imagining pre-teen Jack realizing that Luke genuinely hears and remembers everything he says, follows him like he’s Bible. It’s how he learned to raise Luke pretty much, always telling him things like “Well I always eat the vegetables in school lunch because I want to be big when I’m older.” and sure enough Luke starts eating the vegetables he used to claim were too soggy.

And it just grows and grows from there. Jack tells Luke he’d never hook up with a random girl in high school that way they can rule out any teenage pregnancy because let’s be honest, no adult was making sure those boys know to wrap it up. Just the general lessons like drinking responsibly, staying away from drugs and people that do them, showering at least twice a week type of stuff. If Jack says he does it or makes it a habit himself, Luke picks it up like a sponge and makes it a part of his life.

When Luke gets to New Jersey, he trains with Timo and Jack since Nico is preoccupied with taking care of reader, and Timo doesn’t really notice it because he lets Jack take a lead on most of it, but he’s so shocked by how quick Luke adopts to their training. How easily he makes it a habit. And it’s really just because he’s following Jack, has his whole life so this is just as easy.

But you’re so right about Mama Bear reader recognizing it. And she does so from the first moment she meets Luke. When Nico takes her to get lunch with the Hughes boys one day, after weeks of Luke anxiously asking to meet her.

The whole time they’re sat in the pizza place, even with her not acting like herself because Philly is still hanging over her, she notices everything. How Luke waits to sit down at the table for Jack to do it first. How he doesn’t hug Nico until Jack does it. How he looks to Jack to voice his order.

Reader doesn’t comment on it because Nico doesn’t either. Luke is only 18 and in a new city with his brother, of course he’s going to turn to him a lot.

It’s still something she picks up on for months after though. Luke trailing behind Jack in the bar, hiding behind him when girls stop them like his much shorter brother is a human shield or something.

The more she learns about them, the more it makes sense. Especially after she starts hearing the way Jack will pointedly say things to Luke disguised as just talking. Or the hangover cure, that’s 100% them. Luke hates smoothies, hates the texture and the bland taste of the healthy ones. He doesn’t reject reader’s glass she makes him but he doesn’t drink it either, moping at the counter and mixing it around with the straw because he’s waiting for her to look away so he can dump it.

She knows it too which is why she’s hovering around him. But when Jack sits next to him, grabs his own cup with a muttered thanks and downs the whole thing, Luke is eyeing him curiously. Waits for Jack to wipe at the back of his mouth and set it in the sink before he does the exact same.

Jack raised Luke by being his role model, and even now he’s still doing so.

There’s no harm in it really, so she doesn’t bring it up. No reason too. She does start telling Jack things she wants Luke to know though, giving him advice like what vitamins he should be taking because she knows Luke will get them too. For the most part though she leaves it alone because Jack knows how to take care of his little brother, has been doing it for so long and it’s worked. But when she has to stitch up Jack’s thigh because he left his pocket knife open in his cargo pants on a mission, she’s scolding him about it. Telling him that she doesn’t care if he thinks it’s quicker to leave the thing armed, he near to close it before putting it near his body.

She doesn’t think about the fact that this habit of Jack’s was picked up by Luke until he’s coming to her a little over a week later with the exact same injury.

That’s when she knows she has to tell him something, sitting him on the kitchen counter in just his boxers as she cleans the slice in his thigh.

“I could’ve sworn I told one of you Hughes boys to close your knives,” she murmurs casually, keeping her voice low because Jack and Nico are hovering close by.

Luke makes a guilty face when she peers up at him, beginning to thread her needle and he shifts uncomfortably.

“It’s a habit I guess,” he deflects. She’s careful and gentle when she starts stitching him up, keeping her tone just as tender because she knows him having more than one person trying to parent him is new. The last thing she wants to do is overwhelm him or make him feel like he did something wrong.

“Jack does a lot of smart things,” she says, “and he’s good at a lot of things. I know he’s got perfect aim and his brain thinks fast. And I know you do too because you’ve been around him your whole life.

“But he also messes up sometimes and gets injured. Like he did last week. So when that happens, I need you to try and not follow that ok? It sucks enough when one of you is hurt, I can’t stand it when it’s both of you. Especially you Luke.”

“Especially me?”

“Yeah you.” She assures. “I love Jack, I always have. But he’s Nico guy, ya know? More than he is mine. But you’re…I don’t know. We both got here at the same time and I just feel like… you’re my Luke I guess. And I don’t want to lose you.”

He looks utterly shocked when she finally meets his gaze, like he can’t believe she cares for him that way. He’s a little shaken when he nods, voice heavy when he agrees. “Ok y/n,” he murmurs, “I think you’re like my Nico too. Like how he is to Jack.”

Prologue

Reader was founded by the x-men in a homeless shelter for kids when she was 12. Discovered by Charles Xavier who had found her through his power, sending Logan and Scott to retrieve the girl. Her abilities were to create spheres of protection and have the power to heal. But as many mutants' reader does have a limit to such lengths of what her powers can handle. Never had a family or even knew of her own. But when THE wolverine stretches his hand out for her to take how could she say no.

At some point, Lance was severely injured from a mission he was sent on with two other teens. Scott who had returned with Lance in his arms begged reader to heal him. "Please Kid... you're the only one I know that can help."

She barely succeeded managing to get lance out of the dying state but not healed completely. As soon as she was done her nose begins to bleed and later resulting to her collapsing. Of course, when she had awoken, she overheard the wolverine yelling at Scott. How could he put you through such a thing if he need someone to help Lance, he could of gone straight to hank. Her and Logan always had a close relationship since she joined the school. They both were loners. But the x-men saved them from such fate. Whenever reader was in his classroom training harder than any student, he had encountered he asked her. "Because I want to get stronger to protect the ones I care about." From that moment on he had watch over her like a daughter.

When reader first arrived at Charles Xaviers school, she immediately fit right in. Rogue and Jean loved her like a little sister. Scott and Gambit as well along with Wanda and Pietro. Logan thought of you as his daughter just as Erik 'Magneto' did as well. Charles loves you like his own as for the rest of his students and his x-men. Hank adores you as much as mystique.

There was a particular group you always hung out with Kitty, Pietro, Kurt and Jubilee. They were the first friends of you had since you came to the school, since ever. Knowing you've been by yourself for as long as you could remember. You had loved every single one of them.

You had finally found your family.

One night, when everyone was sleeping you silently swore to yourself, I'm going to get stronger I will, I want to have the strength to protect my family and friends. Even if it cost me my life.'

Unknown to you accouple of ears lingered near your room and hear you.

After that day everything was peaceful.

Until

Reader, Kurt, Pietro and Kitty were all going to go and shop for a surprise gift for their friend Jubilee. Scott and Jean sent them off.

"Now be careful out there got it, things can get out of hand when you least expect it." Scott stand Infront of the group crossing his arms over his chest looking at the group of kids.

"Geez yeah yeah we get it. Just don't tell Jubilee where we were, okay?" Pietro huffs. Jubilee was failing in a couple of classes and training lessons, so she had to stay behind. They thought going out to get her a special early birthday present would cheer her up, only to encounter Scott and Jean. The group fully understand the dangers of being a mutant lingering out and about. But they believe as long as they were together, they'll be alright.

"We'll be fine promise! We're just gonna get some grub probably hang around the park a bit and then shop for an early surprise present for Jubilee." Kitty chuckles at Scotts worriedness the group of teens, they had train for situations in case they get into trouble. They just need a break from the school for a bit and explore the world and experience the joys of being a teenager.

"Right ve promise!" Kurt joins in.

"I'll look after them Scott don't worry; we'll be back before midnight! I swear." Read was always trying to be the older sister of the group and the adults found that precious. Scott looks at her with soften eyes.

Scott looks hesitant but then Jean lays a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sure they'll be fine Scott beside I'm sure the grownups need a break from the kids anyway. Let them go out." Scott looker over his shoulder and sighs in defeat.

"Fine. Reader."

She straightens up.

"Be safe."

And with that the group leaves the mansion for their outing. A couple of miles away from their home and going straight into town. Kurt walking on readers left side and Pietro and Kitty walking on her right.

"Vhet should we get for our friend?"

"Don't know maybe a necklace? Oh! or earrings!"

"You guys think too much. Just get her favorite song on a cd and call it a day."

"You're only saying that cause you never think. it's got to be meaningful dumbass."

Unaware of their surrounds the group was peaceful walking about in town. Laughing and joking around such as normal teenagers do.

but

A smoke grenade lands in front of the group, WOSH it sets of, and the kids were choking on the smoke. Kurt kneeling down waving his hands in the air trying to push the smoke away, kitty and Pietro were blinds and where also coughing. Reader the only on left standing was struggling to make out the attacker.

"Mutant brats"

Readers vision begins to blur, and then turn dark.

Reader wake up again in a strange room chained in a circle with Kurt, Kitty, and Pietro.

"Reader! Your awake! Thank goodness." Kitty with tears in her eyes.

"Where are we?"

Pietro growls, "Thats what I wanna know." Furious that they got caught and he couldn't do a thing about it.

"Are we?" Questioning if any of them had attempted to use their gifts to escape.

"Unable to use our powers I'm afraid so my friend."

Reader looks down in guilt, "I'm sorry guys this is my fault, I should of been more aware.."

"What? There was no what you could of know this would happened. Don't be so hard on yourself." Pietro looks over at her calming his attitude to try and make the situation better for his friends.

"They'll come guys don’t worry!" Kitty trying her best to lighten the mood.

"I'm afraid not this time kitty."

A strange man in a lab coat appears Infront of them.

"And I'm gonna make sure of that."

"Vho are you sir?" Kurt curiously asks but something about this man seemed off this thought sent shivers down some of the group's spines.

"Nothing to concern yourself with mutt. You won't live long enough to remember it."

Kurt eyes widen in fear and shock. Reader moves closer to him moving her body in front of his. Shielding him from the intruder.

"The x-men will stop you."

"I highly doubt it. But don't you baby mutants spawns worry, they'll be joining you soon."

Reader chuckles at the man. "Keep dreaming."

A blow to the head sent her on the floor.

"READER!"

Blood trailed down her mouth as she struggles to sit up only to be kick back down again.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!"

"BASTARD!" As soon as Pietro commented that last part the unknown man pulls out a blade about to charge at him who was defenseless reader bolts towards their direction and takes the hit. Readers blood spills more onto the ground. Kitty screamed in terror, Kurt froze in fear, Pietro stood in shock.

"R-Reader..."

Collapsing in front of him struggling to get back up. The only thought running through her mind was to protect her friends no matter what.

"Pathetic. Just like your so-called x-men, saving life's all for nothing and taking in mutants. To what? Treat them like family. Disgusting."

With hatred in the hearts for this man run filled like crazy but reader bolding stands up.

"S-so what?"

Reader stuggles to sit up completely unfazed of the attack no matter how badly her body is damaged. That sentence alone started a spark to keep the group going.

"Thats w-what we do! You got a problem with it!? X-men put their lives on the line every day! Bitch and groan all you want! You don't got the power to change a thing!"

Unknown man sits still in silents and them maliciously smirks and them kicks the reader on the side where her wound was.

"Your gonna die anyway why waste your breath. This room is reequipped with a machine that will incinerate you lot. And don't even think of using your so-called mutant powers, this room was made with sentinel technology so don't even think about."

They were powerless.

"You have a minute."

The man leaves with a grim expression.

Kitty panics and rattles the chains, Kurt does his best to break it, Pietro struggles to move towards reader grabbing her and pulling in towards the group reader holding onto her wound putting pressure on it. Blood was dripping all down her body.

"W-what do we do!"

"Our Vates are in god's hands now my vhriend."

Holding her hand as she begins to break down in tears. both reach towards reader and Pietro who were also holding hands.

"Stay strong... Kitty." Reader struggles to breath.

"Reader..."

"We're not gonna go out cryin." Hope light in the readers eyes.

Kitty looks over at her who was struggling to sit up straight but was still standing strong that alone gave kitty the encouragement she needed, "R-right. RIGHT! X-MEN NEVER GIVES UP THE FIGHT!"

Pietro nods and also shouts. "Thats right. We're going to show that bastard a bond that can never be broken!"

"I vhill cherish our bonds my Vhiends. No. My family. I love you all of you."

As the four where all held each other together the fear immediately vanishes. As the room shakes and rumbles the sounds of a machine above the ground was held over them begin to glow. They must of guessed it was the one the stranger was talking about.

Reader held them in a group hug all with smiles on their faces..

"We're going home everyone. Back home to our family."

In a blast of light everything exploded and nothing was left.

BACK AT THE MANSION

The x-men all gathered in the war room frantic on the kid's disappearance. Scott and Jean worries came back again when they did not show up for their classes as did Jubilee who had not seen any of her friends. Mystique concerned for her son's well being, her daughter rogue flies all over town to search for them. Magneto confronting Charles on his carelessness for the safety of his children especially Pietro his son and reader who he had grown fond of.

Hank searches with all of his technology. Nothing came to aid.

Logan rampages through the streets and the mansion to find more clues. He had assumed some mutant hating freak got to them.

Gambit did his best to search deep undercover through all the bars to pick up tips on some missing mutant kids. Nothing.

Now they regather in the war room.

"This is your fault summers!"

"Yelling at me won't find them Logan!"

Rogue goes between the two. "Fighting with one another wont help either sugars."

"She's right they have to be out there somewhere we just have to look harder!" Jean intervenes. This was all her fault. She had insisted they go. They never should of left.

"Charles?!" Erik holding onto him. Charles head his head in pain.

As sharp pain goes through the professor's head. He saw the unknown man that had taken the kids hostage. He scans throughout his memories and saw the most recent one.

Recent.

He saw a vivid images of blood. Readers blood. And then later a bright light. Explosion that contain Kurt, Kitty, Pietro and Reader.

Refuses to belief it he tries again and to reach out to any of the children. Nothing there was nothing. If he could not reach them then that could only mean.

"NO!"

Charles shouts in anguish and despair. "MY CHILDREN MY POOR CHILDREN!"

The last image he saw was all of them holding each other in their arms embracing one another with blood soaking their clothes and smiles on their faces. Perhaps hoping for them to come for them. They never did.

"Charles?! What had happened?" Mystique ask.

Charles weeps quietly but Erik answers for him. With a menace look on his face as he stares at the group. He had realize what Charles had saw. Knowing his old friend all too well that could only mean one thing. His son... reader.... kurt and kitty. All dead.

"They are gone."

This alone silent the room.

"They have spilled blood of our children, and we must avenge them." Magneto never like the human he only tolerated them for his children's sake and for Charles but after this. He will show no mercy.

"I agree." Charles says in a shaken voice. "They must pay. Taking the life's of children of the innocent will not go unpunished." He always wanted a relationship between mutants and humans but to take the life of children he had help raised as his own. Children who could do no harm. A darkness stirred within him.

X-men stood in silence, but understood what they must do. Storming out the mansion they now go out on a man hunt to hunt down the unknown man that had kill their kids. Along with those who were involved and those who stood by and watched.

7 Years later

Amongst the rumbles of the abandon building, a sudden movement causes accouple of rocks to move. A hand emerges.

"AH!"

Kitty pushes the scattered building parts of her. Coughing out the dust as she catches her breath. Kurt and Pietro also emerge gasping for air.

"Everyone alright?"

"Reader!"

Kurt pushing the rumbles aside and digging reader out of the pile. Pulling her to surface.

"Is she?"

Kurt checks, "Alive. And breathing. But how did we survive. No should of live after such."

"Defiantly." Pietro agrees but notices a small light on his outer skin glowing the same as kitty and Kurt. This familiar sensation, it feels like reader. They would know because every time one of them were injured she would offer to heal them despite over working herself.

"Did she?" Kitty questions in shock at the realization.

"She must have put barriers on us when the explosion hit. But the question is how?"

"Indeed" Kurt agrees as he held reader's unconscious body. Struggling to wake her up.

Kitty moves near him and help shakes her. "Reader... come on! Please wake up!' Tears weld in her eyes praying in her mind that her friend will wake.

Pietro looks down in shake as he looks down his hand that was stained in blood. He knew it was his fault for her injuries, but why would she do such a thing and risk her life. Just why.

After the 7-year leap reader, Kurt, kitty, and Pietro never aged they remain 14 since the reader's shield held them in for over 7 year unable to age. But unfortunately, everyone they had loved had.

being from rick’s group gave you many opportunities; to fight the dead for the families who can’t. it was decided that you would go with glenn when he had to attend runs. this had pros and cons for you. pros, you got to keep up your skills and go back to what you’d — ironically — consider more home than any of the mansion-sized houses in alexandria.

cons, you could die. get hurt. any negative possibility from before could still happen, so why did you agree to go on the runs in the first place? when there’s the safety of alexandria waiting for you? there’s one simple, stupid answer. ron anderson.

after being out there for so long, away from anyone your age other than carl, you had no idea how to deal with little teen crushes.

especially ones on boys with a girlfriend.

so you’d take your chances going back to the nostalgic smell of decaying flesh and the sounds of the dead gurgling on, probably, their own blood.

what made things worse was ron’s reciprocated attention and affection. it made you feel awkward. you didn’t know how to portray your feelings properly, how to respond to his advances. and then you remember enid, and your brain really short-circuits.

“hey,” you hear ron’s breathless voice behind you, turning around to see him jogging towards you. “another run?”

you shrug, “we need things.” he squints his eyes to look at you through the sun, shooting you a sad look. he takes your hand and pulls you away from the gate and your team. your hand feels like it’s on fire, you hate how this boy makes you feel.

“can’t you stay for once?” the look in his eyes and sincerity in his voice has your face heating up. you nibble your lip nervously before wiggling your hand out of his grasp. you try to not dwell on the dejected look on his face.

you give him a tight-lipped smile, “i don’t know much about relationships, but i don’t think you should be holding another girl’s hand.” he opens his mouth to protest when you start to walk away. “and i can’t stay, they need me!”

he watches you get in the car with glenn, heath, and nicholas, sighing and waving at you. causing you to look at him blankly before the car is disappearing down the road.

ron laughs at your behavior, turning around as eugene shuts the gate. he hears the metal clash before eugene’s voice calls out to him. “i can feel the thickening tension of teenage romance budding between the two of you.” ron tilts his head at him, brows furrowing at the random interjection. “it’s palpable.”

you didn’t expect that interaction with ron to throw you off so much, but you have to admit, it was nice having someone care for you. the group had always had their own cliques; maggie and glenn, rick with michonne, carl, and judith. sasha with tyrese, carol and daryl. you were stuck on the outside.

the closest to that you were beginning to have was noah, and he’s gone now.

and nearly, you were too. the run was going alright, you all had gone into a pharmacy and you were instructed to look in the back where the prescription medications were. while the others took on the convenience store items and over-the-counter meds. you were blazing through the labels, looking for what glenn instructed you to find.

“cillin, cillin,” you mumble to yourself, looking at the ends of the words on the bottles. you needed to find antibiotics, and your head was so clouded with teenage feelings and confusion that you didn’t hear growling behind you.

a hand reaches out and grabs your shoulder, causing you to whip around and grab your knife. you stab the walker through the eye, mouth agape. you look around to see you had knocked a shelf out of place in your frenzy. one that was holding a door with a broken knob shut. hiding a room full of walkers.

you back away with wide eyes, shoving a bunch of medication from the nearest shelf in your bag. you’re sure you could use it for something, maybe your possible death wouldn’t be a waste.

you trip over the decaying arm of the walker, watching as it slides across the floor. you land with a grunt, an odd sticky pop sound ringing in your ear accompanied by a newfound pain in your shoulder.

you’re unable to hold in a yelp at the pain, using your opposite arm to push you across the room. walkers start to crawl towards you, and you take the opportunity to stab whichever one you can reach. you accept your impending doom and tiredly try to take out the herd, but the more they stack on top you, the harder it is to reach.

gunshots fly through the air and everything becomes a disgusting blur. bodies of the dead falling to the ground before the pile of them on top of you are flung off and you’re being hauled over someone’s shoulder by your bad arm. you make a noise of pain you couldn’t hear before your vision goes black.

you blink your eyes, staring up at the white ceiling above you. you know you’re home, well, in alexandria. you turn your head and recognize the infirmary. that’s when the searing pain in your arm becomes obvious once more.

“i think it’s a severe muscle tear,” you hear denise say, sitting up with a small wince. glenn and ron are in the room, both of their attention’s on denise. “it’s really intense, sudden pain, it must have made her blood pressure levels drop. that’s why she fainted, but she’ll be fine with rest.”

ron laughs humorously, “i don’t think ‘rest’ is in her vocabulary.” your heart tugs at the sight of him, standing there, waiting for you to wake up.

“i guess you know me well.” ron and glenn turn around in surprise at the sound of your voice. you send them weak smiles as the three come to your side.

glenn gives you a soft smile, squeezing your hand, “i didn’t know what happened, i wanted to stay here until you woke up.” you give him a thankful nod, watching as he tells denise something about maggie before retreating to the door.

denise stands awkwardly by your side before patting your shoulder. you grimace at the pain shooting through you, “sorry- i just… i’ll just go look at the books again.” she stammers before going back to her studying corner.

you and ron share a look before laughing, “poor thing.” you mumble, fiddling with your fingers. it hurt to move your bad arm at all.

ron’s hand comes up to yours, intertwining your fingers. you go to repeat what you said earlier when he cuts you off, “for the record,” he smiles, kissing your knuckles. “you’re the only one for me.”

and afterwards— after sepang and their text thread drying up and everything. she still runs up to vale allll the time… finds him in the paddock tugs on marc’s hand until he lets her go… and vale always picks her up spins her around sends her back to her dad… still gets her a bday gift… marc watching with a sad smile on his faceeeee… vale DOES get over things faster in this universe because he wants to be more involved for babychild but. it’s rough there for a while when vale is still lying to himself and marc is creating RIGID structures for who he lets in to his daughter’s life because she STILL asks him to call vale so he can read the bedtime story because marc does NOT do the voices right… and he CANT CALL HIMMMM

the real question about all of this is whether Bambi and Jaume ever have a conversation/yelling match about everything that happened when theyre older.

They so would!

But it would only happen in Injured (Alexia's Version) rather than the other ending.

There's about a four year age gap between Jaume and Bambi so when she's around 17, he's about 13 so he's at that age where teen boys are all lad, lads, lads with their friends.

Jaume definitely does football. He's really good at it and it's a little bit of a gut punch to Bambi because she was never good at football (and she definitely remembers Alexia's disappointment). Everyone kind of knows the culture of teen boys in football squads together and Jaume isn't really immune to it.

In Injured (Alexia's Version) they definitely grow up to be close but there is an age gap between them and they're very separate in their interests and Jaume is definitely a bit of an annoying little brother because he's just at that age.

Bambi, obviously, grows up to be a ballerina and all of Jaume's football friends definitely think she's really hot (something that Jaume is genuinely disgusted by because Bambi's his annoying older sister who can't even kick a ball. No one should be attracted to her, let alone his friends).

Jaume and Bambi generally have a good relationship when they grow up but once Jaume hits the teenage years and puberty, he is prone to saying some pretty hurtful things to Bambi.

None of it is ever meant to cut as deep as they do but Jaume definitely gets annoyed when his friends come around the house and just drool over Bambi (Bambi is genuinely disgusted by it and it freaks her out a little bit because teenage boys say vile things sometimes about girls. She grows up to be for the girls so the idea of boys looking at her body freaks her out anyway). His friends drooling over his sister definitely makes Jaume lash out a bit sometimes once they're gone and it's the kind of insults that escalate until Jaume says something about Alexia and her preferring him because they have more in common.

Of course, this would hit Bambi very hard. Alexia's childhood neglect really shaped who she became when she was older even after the relationship was repaired. She is desperate for Alexia's approval, even more now that Jaume has shown he's got a real talent for football.

She's constantly worried about being pushed aside again and Jaume's words cut deep and in all bubbles up until she's yelling back that Jaume has no idea what he's talking about and he should shut the hell up.

Jaume, as an annoying little brother, refuses to lose an argument to his sister and just keeps yelling back that it's not his fault that Bambi failed out of football and had to turn to something like ballet to get attention.

Olga and Alexia walk into a screaming match, only really catching the general gist of it before they have to separate the two of them.

Bambi storms off, yelling about she's sorry that she's not golden boy Jaume and that she doesn't want to see any of his gross friends ever again if this is how he's going to act when they go home.

Bambi's neglect wouldn't be something that was openly discussed as Jaume grows up. There would be a little mention of it very vaguely and very infrequently at family gatherings so Jaume would genuinely have no idea why his words cut so deep until Alexia and Olga sit him down to explain why what he was saying cut so deep and why it was unacceptable to say those things regardless of if the neglect happened or not.

As I said before, Jaume and Bambi did grow up quite close in Injured (Alexia's Version) so he is very regretful and wants to apologise immediately but has to wait until Alexia goes in to talk to Bambi and reassure her that he didn't mean it.

So good news, exams are over! Bad news, I have fallen a little behind on my comic so I need a little extra time. For now, enjoy an older piece of art that discusses lore regarding the Hexside kids.

Willow Park:

Luz's first friend her age. Willow works in the castle as Willow Lily Gardner and caretaker. Willow hopes this job will allow her to save enough money to join her local sports time. However, having a full-time job has its drawbacks. Because Willow spends all her time working, her grades have slipped up significantly, and her peers love to rub that in her face. Regardless, Willow is determined to achieve her dreams and works hard daily. Luz relates a lot to Willow's situation and tries to help Willow the best she can, Gus has always been a fellow outcast himself, so Willow and Gus naturally gravitated to each other. Willow in this AU is basically the same, except instead of her insecurity being about her magic, it's more about Willow being perceived as dumb by her peers for being unable to keep up with the other students.

Augustus Porter: Augustus or "Gus" as his friends like to call him, was an academically gifted kid. He was so intelligent that his teachers made him move up a couple of grades and he is at the same level as Willow. Gus's true passion, however, lies in human objects. Since he was little, he's been fascinated by humans and the objects they've created. Gus even has a little hideout located in a sunken ship where he displays his favorite objects. Since the Boiling Bay tends to view humans as evil, most merpeople find Gus's fascination with humans to be weird, so he's a bit of an outcast. (being so much younger than everyone doesn't help either). That's why he became very close to fellow outcast Willow, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Though Gus has never admitted this to anyone, he doesn't believe the stories that merpeople tell about humans, that they are nothing but heartless monsters who just take care of themselves. How can a creature who makes so many wonderful things be so bad?

Amity Blight: From a young age, Amity was taught to be one thing... the picture-perfect definition of a noble girl. Everything from her friends to her interests, to even her appearance has been dictated by that idea, and Amity has strived to follow it. No matter how tiring, no matter how much the oysters bite, Amity's goal was to be a perfect daughter...well until recently. While hanging out with her friends on the surface, a storm came and Amity was knocked out by a falling rock. She would have been killed or heavily injured by a gigantic falling rock if it wasn't for Luz. Luz rushed to Amity's aid and brought her to a safe place, only to run away once Amity woke up. Hunter Noceda:

Hunter is Luz's adopted older brother. Hunter was found as a baby all alone by Camila and Manny, and they decided to raise him as their son. Luz was born two years later, and the siblings have been inseparable ever since. However, things took a drastic turn when Manuel passed away. Money became harder and harder to come by, and Camila struggled to support the family. Feeling obligated as the eldest son, Hunter began to work and was determined to support his family. He forced himself to grow up quickly and spent all his free time working to support his family. Camila tried to get him to take a break, but like all Nocedas, they're very stubborn. Luz and Hunter are still close, but Hunter became very serious in his teen years and tends to act more grown up than he really is. Luz still thinks about her brother a lot and hopes he doesn't blame himself for her running away. Think of this Hunter in this AU as someone, who while has a loving family, still feels like he "owes" his family something, even though Camila, Manny, and Luz love him unconditionally.

I don’t think I posted this one here yet, so:

Theory about the magazine clippings…

If you’re on High Adaptability, you manage to unlock the locker in Lane’s new room at Adam, and find old magazine clippings. Later, you also catch a newer clipping blowing down a corridor—from the closed-off/forbidden wing. The old ones can easily be deduced as being Ada’s: a teen girl, who we learn Pileon cares for deeply.

(Note: her age isn’t stated, but the magazines are for teens, and while Pileon says she’s just a child, she was allowed to go out with a team.)

Ada supposedly didn’t return from a mission.

Donovan said this. I think Ada’s actually being kept in the forbidden wing, and that Lane will put this together, which will result in us finding her; whether Lane goes by herself, or not. In the case of the player having made a fake deal with Pileon, finding Ada probably gets him to stop trying to kill you; even if it doesn’t make him stop wanting to, necessarily. Although, it may do so, who knows? Maybe we can become friends with the other immortals after saving her (others as in, not just Cain). Anhea clearly cares for Pileon, and probably Ada as well, so.

Additionally, in the latest episode, we learn that Donovan ordered a breathing machine to be brought from New York to the Adam base.

In that conversation between Lane and Anna, it was concluded that it was for an immortal. I’m thinking it’s for Ada; she’s injured, but alive. As for why Donovan lied…when Ada was first mentioned, my immediate thought was that Donovan was probably faking her death and experimenting on her. Donovan speaks so casually about using Dimitry like that (or rather, not doing so), that it’s obvious if they didn’t need the usefulness of the immortals, she’d keep them for projects. We learned that the green ampoules Pileon wanted and Anhea was injected with were made not only in the Siberia base, but in the room where immortals were tortured, so it’s possible that to make more, the Adam base needs blood from an immortal—and a young one that isn’t very useful in the field would be suitable, right? Especially if she’s the only option. Supply was hinted as limited, even before Nick robbed the labs of the rest. If Donovan had an injured immortal in her hands, I have no doubt how she’d choose to use them.

Since the return of the RDA life has never been the same the sully family and the omatacayia clan, and same went with many other navi and clans here on Pandora. As lives were lost during the night of great fires and many lives had been changed since then, as the old way of life was something of the past. After the fires the sully family was never the same, the once happy nature we all held for dear was not that much as your mates and everyone in the clan changed that night and you couldn't blame them. Saying goodbye to old way of life made way for a new way of life.
